All my text in my tables is locked into bold! :(

Hi.
I'm close to finishing a site at http://kareltests.co.uk/ where I've been using tables. Much to my frustration all the text I use within a table comes out bold. On Macs this looks terrible.
Any ideas?
BTW Any other tips regarding layout, or of what info might be useful to put on this site would be appreciated.

You're using header cells (<th>) which by default are bold and centred - change them to <td> and it should be sorted

If you backed up the phone BEFORE the messages disappeared, they can be restored by restoring the backup:
1. Disable automatic syncing on connection in iTunes prefs > Devices > Disable....
2. Connect phone.
3. Right-click the device tab on left border of iTunes window and select "Restore from backup."

Several protocols may be used.
Here I describe two of them.
(1) the one which I use : install and use the "Convert to Lowercase" service available in the free WordService
(2) copy your text, paste in TextEdit and enter the Edit menu.
I guess that you will recognize the items in your English menu.

The text in the tables is hazy when printed in the new version of pages. How can I get this to the same clear text as before?

In the new version of Pages, the text in the tables are no long clear and sharp as before, they look embedded on all print outs. How can I change this.

How can i Change Text Color in table

How can i change the text color i table, the true becoming GREEN, and the text in Fals becoming RED.
Someone can help me to resolve this problem with a sample, because when i run the program all text becoming green in (TRUE) and than when i chang it to the (fals) all becoming Red.

Modifying the properties of a control in a subVI do not modify the properties of a different control in the main VI. The data is the only thing passed back from the subVI. To modify the properties of the table in the main, you need to pass a reference to it to the subVI and modify it's properties. I've attached a modified llb that does what you want.

How to get the value of an input text in a table

all,
i have an adf table component on my jsf page and i added an input text component to one of the table columns. how do i access the value of that input text in my backing bean? normally, i would just do a getValue(), but because the input text is in the table i'm assuming it has to be treated as an array somehow.
any help would be appreciated,

I found a solution to fetching the column values. I created a transient attribute on my view object and bound my column to the transient attribute. Then I used this post from Duncan Mills

to get to the data by looping through the table rows.
However, I'd still like to use the value from this transient attribute in logic to populate some other columns in the table. I
for example, here's the content of what's submitted:

In my backing bean I'd like to get the rows from the table and read the value of the transient attribute, pass it through a function, and set the value of the column phone to some value for each row. Then have that processed to update the db. Is this possible?

Deleting Text from a Table

I want to know the shortcut for deleting text from a table on a macbook pro with the latest version of Microsoft Word. I want to keep the table and it's formatting but I want the current information deleted and don't want to have to do this cell by cell. I highlight all the text I want deleted and then.........???????

Can no longer edit text in my table on pages

I just finished a mammoth report in Pages for which I used a table format for all the verbiage. I am now going back to edit some of the text in the table but when you click on the cell where the existing text is, it goes "white", and you can't edit what's there (because it's now invisible) and you can't add anything else. You click away elsewhere on the page and the previous text fortunately comes back, but it is still unedited :-( Help! Thanks

Doing an entire report in a table is such a bad idea and really unnecessary.
Sounds like you need to update both Pages and your user tag.
Are you actually on OSX 10.6.8 and what version of Pages are you using?

In Pages (iPad) how do I edit text in a table?

I made a Table in Pages. I put text on each cell of the table.
One of the cells has the following text: "The Ukraine is an independent nation, a former client state of the Soviet Union, which is struggling with the decision of whether to join the European Union or a similar Russian consortium."
Now, I want to put the cursor/insertion point just left of the "U", to get rid of "The".
No dice. Although I've managed to do all these by accident:
- select the whole table
- drag the whole table all around
- select the cell as a cell (but not any text in it)
- drag the cell around the table
- delete all the text in the cell
- get "Cut/Copy/Paste" to come up, but paradoxically, not "select" (which would suffice)
How do I stick the insertion point in text in the cell?
I could type the whole cell over, but that's not fun.

Text in a form filed text box or in an annotation text box can be edited with Acrobat 9 Standard's form tools / comment tools if the field has not been flattened.
Once flattened either type of "text box" becomes part of the PDF page content. PDF (the format/technology - defined by ISO 32000-1) does not support word processor like edits. However minor touchups are supported. This capability is present in Acrobat Pro but not Standard.

I have been very successful in writing and emailing my press
releases. However...
How I create then is via creating a table in Dreamweaver and
putting everything there. The reason why I use a table is so that I
can make sure that the content occupies 80% of the horizontal space
and so I can center the content.
I try to have the text come out as light, or normal looking.
However, I have found that all the text that is in the table
automatically comes out at bold (or bolder, depending on where the
email is received and read). I have tried everything I can to
change this so that it comes out as light, but have not had
success.
Can anyone explain why this is and give a solution?
An example is this press release:

It looks good online, when went the page is emailed, the text
gets bold. I email it by pasting the source code into a program
that then emails the press one at a time.
Is there a way I am supposed to do this? A better way?

Email clients typically do *NOT* read CSS that is in the head
of the page.
You have CSS in the head of the page forcing text that would
otherwise be
bold, to be normal in weight.

[CS3 JS] Replacing/Adding text in a table

I am currently wanting to replace text within a table.
The Table has 4 simple colums. All text in the table has the same character style.
b The situation is
i Here is a short 'cut-out' of the scripting I have done:
I read in the text bthat needs to be modified from the table with this script:

b What is your main idea?
We have a 3 sided document (Title page, Content page, Release page) to present our product - Training Courses.
On each side of the document there are certain informations that are the same. To make life easy for the people editing these documents, it was decided to make a script to automate the input and changing of these informations.
Character Sytles were generated to define each field of information, so to aid in the find/Change of the scripting.
On the Title page there is the 'Course Title', 'Course Reference No.' and 'Document No.' information.
On the Content page there is the 'Course Title', 'Course Sub-Title', 'Reference No.' and 'Document No.' informations (naturally there is all the course info too, but that's a 'one-time-entry' only).
On the Release page there is all the above and a
b table
that contains the latest revision index information. i.e. Revsion Index, Date of Changes, Responsible Person, Comments to changes made.
This row of information has a Character Style and is read in.
I then searched the string and replaced each Array position with the previously entered text.
It seems to work OK for when you are creating the
b first document
My problem what I see coming is the fact that when it is needed to enter a revision - how would I
b add
another row
b and
then select only the last row of - then to be 'blank' information?

Bullet problem when creating text frames and tables in InDesign CS5

Every time I create a new text frame or table in InDesign CS5 and paste information there, the first row in the table or several lines of text come out with bullet points. I'm sure this is a setting or style at some point I created and now am unsure of how to delete. I would like the new text frames and tables to not include bullet points as a default when imported or pasted. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Defaults for text in the current document are made with no text selected. Turn off bullets and they should stay off (but check the styles, too, you might have accidentally set a bulleted style as the defualt and you should change the default style instead). If this is happening in all files, you need to do it with nothing open to reset the default for all new documents (existing files, unfortunately, need to be fixed one at a time).

Multiple selected text frame to table

I am looking for a script that will allow me to select multiple text frames at one time and have the contents in those text frames converted to tables.
What I have to do now is place the cursor in one text frame, select all, select menu item "convert to table", the defalt dialog appears and I click ok.
I have ten text frames on a page (for example). The manual process means I have to do the text to table 10 times per page.
So, I would like a script that will allow me to select all 10 text frames and convert the content of each frame to a table.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Is there a way to restrict all the text in a datagrid input
without having to create custom item renderers for each
column?

How are you trying to restrict it? If you're trying to
restrict it uniformly, for example, to entirely numerical inputs,
then the easiest way I know of to do so is with an itemEditor. You
can just add the same itemEditor to each column that way.
This only saves work over custom renderers if you're trying
to restrict multiple columns in the same manner, but for numeric
only tables, it's pretty short.
You could probably also do it with itemEdit and
itemEditBeginning events, but that would likely be more work then
simply declaring a single global itemEditor and using it in all
your columns.
