All of a sudden LR5.5 will not import from my Canon Cameras???

5d MKII, 60D or EOS M... Everything is up to date and it makes no sense to me? Sometimes it will download 2 pics, 5 pics or 7 pics and then freeze... Outcome is always the same. It states it cannot read files. Sometimes it says there are no files and does not display them for import at all. I can use Canon software like EOS Utility and even Windows 7 will import them with no problem. What's the deal with Adobe? I say Adobe in general, because once the issue started with Lightroom I tried using Adobe Bridge, same exact issues. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. I have even installed Lightroom on my laptop and my son's PC with the same results... Any ideas???

You need to check the 'Write' permissions of the folder you are asking LR to use (or create) in the Import module's 'Destination' right-side panel. Step 1 is to determine WHERE that folder is located (or being created) and then read this LR post on the same subject to properly enable Write permissions:

I have not been able to reinstall Acrobat Pro on my laptop. I have Suite 6 Design & Web Premium on my HP laptop. I have Windows 7 operating system. All of a sudden Acrobat Pro will not open so I uninstalled and tried to reinstall the program.
The error messages I get are:
ERROR: Error 2203.Database: C:\Windows\Installer\12102c.ipi. Cannot open database file. System error -2147287035.
ERROR: Install MSI payload failed with error: 1603 - Fatal error during installation.

All of a sudden by kindle will not download books to my device. they go to cloud and they just stay pending and you can't read anywhere

I upgraded to ios5 awhile back and everything was fine in fact it was fine over a week ago now when I go to play it only shows the album art and the songs do not play. Also when the songs it wants to play (it's like it has a mind of it's own) play the album art and songs do not match up. The majority of the songs are purchased from ITunes if that helps. I tried unsyching my music then resyncing as suggested in another post and I still have this problem. I accidently reset all settings and I am wondering if this has anything to do with it, everything was fine until I did that. Yes, the error message is exactly like that ("Database error: failured to persist version")
No photos will import at all. I use USB to import from iPhone 5s or iPad 2.
About the difference? iPhoto and Photos . Are there two softwares?
I also will like to merge and/or synchronize all my photos I had saved to iCloud backups, Macbook Pro, iPhone 5s and iPad hard drives using iPhoto. It's call iPhoto library. At one point I turned off streaming.

I tried downloading “Awesome camera”. Seems like a nice App. The front/back switch does not work within that App.
Switching to back camera in the normal Camera App brings up a blurred picture of what the back camera is seeing and freezes the app. Force quitting Camera App does not bring it back to live until after a long time. Problem still persists.

Rather than convert, you'd be better off capturing with a more current version of the program -- one that supports AVCHD video. Otherwise, you're in for a lot of headache. A converter isn't going to solve your problems.
BTW, when you say Premiere 6, do you mean Premiere 6 -- which is over 10 years old? (There was no Premiere Elements 6.)
Trust me on this: Capture with a Mac version of Premiere Elements 11 or 12 and your video will be perfectly compatible with any Mac program.

Thanks so much for wading in. I did exactly what you suggested - glad you gave me the hint about how to access my library files. There was only one document that seemed to have anything to do with cache, and that was called Calendar Cache. (I've attached a screen capture of all the files incase I should have deleted something else as well.) I deleted Calendar Cache then restarted iCal, but after updating I was still unable to add new events.
Is there anything else you can suggest?

I just recently noticed that cds will not load into my library, nor will iTunes prompt me to play them when inserted. You can hear the machine plunking along as if trying to read it, then it will automatically eject. What gives?
