All of a sudden my cord won't fit into my iPhone 5

My iPhone 5 cord won't fit into the phone. I am trying to charge it and it feels like the phone won't let the cord go in all the way. It kind of pushes it out. Any thoughts, suggestions? Yes, I am using genuine Apple products - no cheap imitations. I have also tried using my son's cord to see if it was the cord - but it appears to be the phone.

Unfortunately my phone is only 2 days old, and since I have only used it in my home, it cannot be already be dirty or damaged. Plus the nearest apple store is about 50 miles away. It was plugged in this morning, so WTH. I am very upset about this, espescially since the phone is so new. Could someone send me a link to a video, showing me the proper way the cord goes in. Perhaps I am doing it wrong, but I tried it wt the B & lightening bolt, both up and down. I also do not have apple care, so a phone call would cost me. Does anyone, have any ideas.

Though I'm not familiar to Acid, I can only guess.
I suppose you'll have to export your songs into mp3, wav or any other format supported by iTunes. Then you'll just import those files to the library.

Open the Sharing pane in System Preferences. If the Computer Name is not set, enter a name. You may first have to click the lock icon in the lower left corner and authenticate to unlock the settings.

Then, I went to check email again, and it wouldn't come on. I hadn't noticed the power status, so I don't know if it didn't take a charge overnight. It's possible you have a defective charger and you don't have any juice left. The first thing you should try is a reboot: Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (ignore the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go o both buttons and hopefully, your iPad will restart. If that doesn't work, it's possible you just don't have a charge left. You can trickle charge your iPad via your computer, it will take a loooong time, but even though it says it's not charging, it is, just verrrry slowly. If that doesn't work, it's probably time to make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your Apple Store. If of course your wall charger isn't charging your device, it could be as simple as replacing the charger.

All of a sudden my keyboard won't type. This happened before and it was just something that I hit accidentally that turned off the keyboard. Can't remember how to fix it. It was very simple, like pressing a couple keys and it worked.

As I suspected, the keys aren't registering to allow you to boot from a CD or switch the startup disk. I am going to assume that you wont be able to reset the pram or do an SMC reset either. You can try anyway...
PRAM reset
hold Option + Command + P + R and press the power button. Hold those keys until you hear the startup chime at least 2 times.
SMC Reset
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Safe boot
Hold the shift key whilst rebooting.
You can try these three things, but I'm leaning towards a hardware failure on this as it seems the KB is not functioning even prior to the OS loading.

It has worked fine in the past and then all of a sudden, I click play and nothing plays. I can play music and video in other programs except itunes. Volume is up also. It won't play at all. I would suggest first,
looking for the files (not in iTunes but on the desktop. If you find the files they've simply been removed from iTunes. - If you can't find the files they've been erased and there's not a lot that can be done.
Removing files from and iPod is another question. Firstly, it IS difficult, but it can be done. There are numerous tutorials on the web on how to do it.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

iOS 7.1.2, huh? It MAY be having some trouble with the iOS 8.x devices and latest iCloud features. Although it meets the minimum system requirements, it does not meet the recommended ones - System requirements for iCloud - Apple Support
You should try Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support - this is generally the first step in troubleshooting, all devices - for all time

If you have a port that looks like this one, it's FW400. If it looks like this one it's FW800. If you have one of each it supports both. If you don't have either then it's USB only.

T420 - fan repaired, but now the SD card won't fit into slot

I'm going to post a couple of the current issues my daughter, freshman ID student is having with her brand new t420 laptop. Here's this one...

Did it get stuck when putting the SD card in? If the SD card is inserted correctly but can't fit in properly then I would suggest to send it support for them to check.
