All of a sudden today, airport is not recognizing the WEP password.
I've restarted it, and computer / iphones... Double checked the WEP. Still not connecting. Help?
You probably just need to do a "hard reset" and use the Airport Utility to just set it back up again. Its a wizard so it's really easy. It'll see your Airport isn't set up after you reset it and tell you you need to configure it.
To hard reset, simply unplug Airport, hold thumb tack or paperclip into small reset hole on back and hold reset button down WHILE you plug the power back in. KEEP HOLDING RESET until light flashes several times. Viola!

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore. -
I have an external hard drive that I have been using for years. All of a sudden my mac will not recognize the external as a "save as" device location. But the external does show up on my desktop and I can open it to drag and drop items. What happened and how do I get my mac to rerecognize the device?!?!?

I need help setting up the wireless router for my iMac. I did not know the WEP password when I first turned it on to set things up. Now that I know the WEP password I cant get Network Diagnostics to accept it. I know it is case sensitive and was very careful when I entered the password. What should I do?
Hi, unfortunately WEP is about as secure as a bar of gold lent to a Gang Den! It can be broken in under 30 seconds these days!
If the PW is ASCII, try enclosing it in qoute marks, if Hex try preceding it with the & or % sign.
Also, is the Router set to only allow connect ion to MAC addies of the Interface? -

Critical: My BB Passport not recognizing the device password
Hi Support folks, Have been using this Passport for 45 days and today surprisingly it is not recoginizing the device password. Its says 5 more attempts left, however I have tried it many times more than 10 times and still shows the same message. I tried to connect to BB Link and when entered the device password it just thinks and does nothing. I feel the backend file associated my device is locked out. I tried restarting the device several times with no luck. I have to access this device asap to access my data, mails, contacts and make calls. Pleae help me asap.
I had a real bad 6-8 hours in my life. Things I tried with no luck: - Entered the correct password close to 100 times still it says 5/10 attempts- Restarted the phone by using the power button Long 10 seconds press - Many many times , No luck- Hard restarted the phone many times by long pressing the Volume Up and Down button, No luck- Connected to the MacBook, BB Lynk asked for the device password 1/10 attempts and nothng happens after entering the password. It just sits there. Disconnected the phone and tried the same process almost 20 times with no luck.- On my MacBook, connected the device and BB Blent was showing all the files and contents on my device, it allowed me to copy all the files. This is a security loop hole in BB. Even if the device is secured and connected, one can copy the data. Doesnt this sound horrible for a business phone?- After several attempts to connect to BB Link I have got the reload option enabled before entering the device password on my MacBook. Doesnt this sound weired? I then clicked on reload and got a confirmation Yes/No. I clicked on No and then it asked for the device password. Entered the password and it accepted. So basically, I fooled the BB reload option/system. Overall, BB is not up to the mark when it comes to security. What could have happened? A. The file associated for the BB System password become inaccessable due to the lock on the file. I want the BB developers to look in to this matter seriously and strengthen the BB system to built confidence for the business users. I am sending an alert to all the BB users in y organization to be careful and try to stay away from BB since data is everything what we deal with and its all classified. I will also be writing about this in all the possible consumer forums to create awareness. Regards,Aljo George

Try connecting your iMac to the Time Capsule with an Ethernet cable to see if that allows AirPort Utility to "see" it.

Adobe Reader not recognizing the (correct) password on a password protected document
I have been opening password protected documents with Adobe Reader for months. My client just changed the password, and now, using the correct new password (I'm positive it's the correct password because I can open it on other computers, and no, my caps lock isn't on, and I've tried numerous times so it's not that I'm typing it incorrectly), Adobe is saying that the password is incorrect. Any ideas? I was thinking perhaps because I am on a Mac, or maybe because I have Adobe Reader and not the full version it isn't working... any help much appreciated!
Reader should be fine. you don't need to full version to open password protected documents and a Mac doesn't make any difference either.
Fist thing to be sure of is that it's actually Reader opening the docs and not Mac Preview (or something else).
If it is, maybe try having them assign a different password. A more simplistic one just to see if you can open it. -
All of a sudden Back up disk not recognized
2 months of flawless backup, NOW just won't connect to disk. I can connect to the iMac that is connected to backup disk from MBP. BUt, I can't actually connect to iMac only screen share, but I can still access the drives that are connected to the network. but Time Mchine won't see them anymore. I made no changes at all to any settings so this was abrupt and for no reason. Any suggestoins. Much appreciation in advance. thanks

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

I have an iMac and also a MacBook. All of a sudden my iMac does not recognise my Canon 500D camera even though I have downloaded 1000s of photographs from it via the USB port. The MacBook recognises the camera immediately. Can anyone help?
Thank you for your reply. I know I can use a card reader however I don't see why I should when importing directly from my camera has worked reliably for years. The process I use is simply connecting the digital output from my camera to the USB port on the iMac, which has previously automatically opened iPhoto ready for the import. Now all of a sudden my iMac does not recognise the camera. However if I connect in the same way to my MacBook then iPhoto opens automatically on the MacBook, recognises the camera and is ready for importing. So whilst I know I can use a reader, or my MacBook I want to use my iMac in the same way that I have for years. I can only assume that the settings on the iMac may have changed, but I cannot verify this.

I have not been able to reinstall Acrobat Pro on my laptop. I have Suite 6 Design & Web Premium on my HP laptop. I have Windows 7 operating system. All of a sudden Acrobat Pro will not open so I uninstalled and tried to reinstall the program.
The error messages I get are:

I just updated my iTunes and now all of a sudden my iPhone is not syncing into iTunes. When I plug my iPhone into my computer, a thing pops up on my iPhone saying "Do you trust this computer" and I press "Trust" but it still doesn't do anything.
Sorted it out. All of a sudden today my battery life just started dropping off on my iphone 4s. I charge it every night. I double clicked the circle button on the bottom to see what was running and there was minimal running but i turned them off anyway. I checked back in a little bit, the same, turned the couple things off again which were like phone and messages... nothing major running. Battery percentage still plummeted til it just turned off.
Are there apps on your phone right now?
I think one of your apps is causing this.
The only way to find out is to delete them all and then add them one by one to see what app maybe causing this.
Especially if you've gone thru 3 iphones already.
When you restored as new - did you sync back your stuff - apps/music or did you restore from backup? -
I go onto ordinary websites and then all of a sudden this grey box appears on the middle of my screen, then it automatically restarts my computer. I am not really sure what to do and how to get it fixed. Any help would be great. Thanks
