All of a sudden when I plug my ipod touch into my computer, it tells me that "ipod can not be used because Apple Mobile Device service is not started" Any ideas?
I recently installed icloud on my computer, and now when I plug in my ipod touch it tells me "ipod can not be used because Apple Mobile Device service is not started". I can not find anything on my computer or my touch that seems to have anything to do with it. Anybody have any suggestions?
I'd start with the following document with that one:

Randomly when I plug my Iphone 4s into Itunes it will tell me that it can't detect my phone and that I need to restore it. It doesn't happen every time, but maybe every two weeks.I restore it and then it works for a while, but then a couple weeks later I'll plug it in and I get the same message again. It's very frustrating because even though I have all the settings to save to cloud, my apps and data don't all come back.
Thank you both. I suppose I should have prefaced my question with the concern that I've read a number of other posts from people who have had a similar issue and when they tried to follow the directions, they ran into a multitude of other problems. As you might imagine, I'm hoping to avoid the creation of new problems as I try to solve this one. Thanks again.

I just updated to the latest version of itunes, n ow when I plug in my iphone, it says it cannot sync because "apple mobile device service is not started" this never happen before, what do I do??
The Apple Mobile Device Service is a part of sever programs that "help" iTunes on Windows. It may have been disabled in the Microsoft program, msconfig, or using a third party utility, such as CCleaner.
I would suggest trying to find and enable the service. To do so, click on the start button, click "run", and then type "msconfig" look for the iTunes Helper entry and make sure that it's enabled.
Additionally, there may be another service which you will have to enable. You can type something like "service.msc", (I'm not sure exactly) to see the "Services" control panel and look for it there.
If you can't find either, feel free to post here again.

My blog will not load--it gives me a blank white page.
If I type in my blog's URL I can see it fine. But if I try to login or search on it or go into the archives, it gives me a blank white page. Not an error code. Just a white page. I can see my favicon in the address bar. I've tried it on FF and Safari

Is there any workaround available with ora-02014? I have a view that contains left outer join with "INSTEAD UPDATE" trigger on it. UPDATE VIEW SET... WHERE... goes well, but SELECT ... FOR UPDATE causes ORA-02014. Any suggestions?
