All of a sudden wifi doesn't work. It says no wifi hardware is installed... Anyone else have this issue?
This is actually for my girlfriend's 2012 BMA.
Reset the System Management Controller (SMC).
If that doesn't work, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to bare metal from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.

I did the recent update on my ipad 7.0.4 and now it keeps freezing up and can not use it. Tried reboot and works for a second then freezes right up again. Anyone else have this issue or know a fix?

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Seems like you tried this all ready and it didn't help.
Next might be to reset all settings.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings
Note that when you do this you will not lose data but you will have to enter all passwords again.
If that doesn't help you might tries a restore of your iPad using iTunes on the computer you normall sync with. Do a backup and save all data first. Or
Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. -

I can't login to Facebook from the app or on Safari. Is anyone else have this issue? I deleted FB from my iPhone 4 and reinstalled it. Still didn't work.
Make sure you have checked off iCloud contacts in your Contacts app under Groups in upper left corner.

If this does not help, please post the make and model of your Wi-Fi router. Maybe there is a way to monitor the connections from the router side.
Even if the iPad2 has a bad Wi-Fi radio or antenna , the chance of you getting another one should be small. Also if you go to an Apple Store, I am sure you will be able to test it before you leave the store.

First, make sure they are all still enabled in the respective System Preferences.
If the are, then do you have any third-party menu extras? They will often interfere with the others if they are not compatible. -
My daughter bought a 4th generation ipod classic without a charger. The ipod was working just fine, but then we tried to charge it using a brand new charger for an Ipod Touch. It won't charge and someone online someone posted that there ipod touch charger worked on the ipad, phone and whatever else he had but it wouldn't work on the classic. Anyone else have this same issue? Any solutions?
The ipod did not come with a power cord as we purchased it used from ebay. The ipod was half charged when we received it and it worked well enough to transfer songs to my computer (the previous seller didn't delete their 2000 plus songs). My son then used the same cord on his computer to transfer the songs, but processed an update to the ipod and after that,it wouldn't work. So, I'm not sure if we received a bum ipod, an update issue or we have a charger issue, but the cord we used to transfer the songs came from my son's brand new ipod touch. We've also tried 2 other chargers from ipods we have in the house, 1 being a wall charger.
One individual posted online that he took his ipod classic, mac and phone overseas with one charger and it worked fine on all but the classic. So, I'm thinking that they cords may not be universal. Online I've read that it must be a 6 pin firewire, high power 2.0 usb cord. Or that I need to purchase an applie charger. We don't live close to an apple store and I'm reluctant to order one just to have it NOT work.
My daughter is learning the hard way that buying off of ebay is not always the best solution to a cash strapped 12 year old.
Any other advice is greatly appreciated. -
It seems as if when I push my home button there is a loud click or a clicking noise that shouldn't be there. If I push the home button in certain areas or kind of on the side it's not so bad. Also it seems as if the button is kind of loose or wiggles a little bit and can also feel the little silver ring and seems as if it's either not on properly or the home button is sunken in pretty good. I was at the Apple Store and checked out some display models and didn't notice it on those and they all felt solid. Has anyone else had this issue or experienced this? Any and all suggestions will help greatly...I just want to know if it's normal or how I should go about taking care of it...thanks!
ok...the doctor is in!....well, yes I agree with other posts concerning "clicky" crunchy touch id/home buttons...ah... we do swaps, cleanings, alcohol wipes....NO NO NO! yes dirt can and will trap inside the extreme minor spaces around the home button and the screen cutout..yes twirling a q-tip round the button only stuffs grime deeper in, but can clean the edge...in this case, that crunch you hear (new out-of-box), its a very popular notice that most do hear a crunchy glass-like snapping sound...being that the touch id does have a sensor ring on the outer side, the actual noise your hearing is ........wait for it......MISS-ALLIGNMENT!!!! yes... pop that sucker open, remove bracket....what do you see??. touch id pressed thru and adheared around the ends of the button...and also most cases, not perfectly aligned..that noise is the actual ring brushing against the screen hole cutout causing metal and glass to bind against eachother... re-seating the button will correct the issue..being that theyre so close together, the slightest miss-alignment can cause that annoying crunchy click sound. find a swap that doesn't...ok that one works but now the silent switch is loose!!!!! ive seen it all

I have an ipod touch. I am trying to download the newest upgrade and when I do I get the same message that to do so will mean all my old inof (songs, games, apps) will be erased!? Anyone else experience this problem?
If all the synced media (such as app and music) or in your iTunes library, and if you have a backup. Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check, the restore the iPod from that backup. The restore will also update the iPod.

Two or three weeks ago, I had a cracked screen replaced on my iPad Mini 2 with retina display (32G). It worked perfectly for 2-3 weeks, so I don't know how relevant the screen repair is. Anyway, the iPad is currently running iOS 8.1.3. I completely reset it because I want to sell it, but recently, the screen display started to have issues. One afternoon I turned it on and the screen was a faint gray with vertical streaks that went away after I turned it off then back on. I can see a change in the shade of black, but there's no color or app icons. The sound works even when the screen doesn't. The only way I can get it to turn on properly is if I hold it in my hands/arms for 2-3 minutes. I think the heat from my hands has something to do with it. It's just weird that regular room temperature seems to be too cold. We've had a cold winter in NY this year and my iPad may have spent 1-2 hours in my cold car the day this happened, but I can't say for sure. Has anyone else heard of this issue or does anyone have a solution?

In my situation, the screen simply started exhibiting the same symptoms a few weeks ago (early February) for no apparent reason. At first I thought the screen was dead, but discovered the heat solution by accident. Now I turn it on and keep it from going to sleep until I go to bed. Thank goodness the battery is still awesome on this thing.
I bought it new and still has the original screen, I keep it at home (never below 62 degrees). Coincidentally, this happened a day or two after the expiration of the warranty!! Any help figuring this one out would be eternally appreciated.

I'm willing to bet it's dropping the connection because the router is rebooting. Try updating the firmware of the router. If that doesn't stop it re-starting spontaneously, I'd look into a new router.

I have a pwoer Mac with a dual quad processor and current os. If I turn off the computer at night and power up the next day my wireless mouse and keyboard do not work nor does my hardwired mouse. I have to hold the power button to re-boot the computer to get it to work.
Open console in Applications>Utilities, check the system log for the date/time of the last problem & the Startup right after that for clues.
And/or...
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...
