All of my images state"...file named.....is offline/missing

Installed LR4, most of 24000 images state"...file named.....is offline/missing" Help!!!!

If the images are located on removable storage such as CD, DVD or an external hard drive they need to be connected.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • Photoshop (all versions): Inconsistency/Bug in automatic File Naming algorithm

    Hello,
I discovered this problem in PS CS3 and CS5 (don't have CS4) after a student of mine found it in PS Elements 8. Here's one way to replicate the issue:
    1) Open any image in Camera Raw. Let's call that file FILENAME.dng
    2) Click "Save Image" button on the left
    3) "Save Options" window opens
    4) Under "File Naming" there are several drop-down boxes. The first box is filled in with "Document Name" as the variable. Leave that alone and move to next box to the right.
    5) In this box, select the variable named "2 Digit Serial Number."
    6) Now, in that SAME box right after the word "Number," click after the "r" (at the end) and enter a hyphen "-"
    7) Look above the boxes and it shows you are about to rename the file "FILENAME2 Digit Serial Number-.dng"
    8) The term "2 Digit Serial Number" is now part of the file name (with a hypen at the end).
This should never happen because it's mixing variables and constants. Plus, most importantly, nobody would EVER type ANY of the drop-down values as a file name. And, if someone did type in the hyphen at the end (like my student did), she obviously intended it to be a 2 digit number followed by a hypen and not the term "2 Digital Serial Number-."
There may be other places in the software that use this file naming algorithm, too. For instance, in PS Elements 8, it cn be found also found under File>Process Multiple Files.
This isn't a big issue, I know, but it should be fixed.
I am primarily looking for a response from Adobe personnel.
    Thanks,
        Mike

I did some tests and was unable to get it to work even with RAW. (perhaps it was just me) I did get it to work with multiple images being sent to "Merge to Panorama in Photoshop CS4" In all other cases, LR wants to control the naming. You end up with a file sent to PS with a LR controlled name added automatically to the LR catalog. (this is a duplicate of the orig LR file as no edits are made with this name) The file you create with your own name (when you save as from PS) needs to be imported back into the LR catalog manually later.
This is not the kind of integration we need.
We need to be able from LR to have jpg edits done in PS and named according to our needs, and re-added to the LR catalog automatically when we exit PS.
    For example the following scenario:
IMG_1234.jpg is processed, cropped and tweaked in LR, then sent to PS for detailed enhancement.
Coming out of PS might be:
    IMG_1234_Lucis90%
    IMG_1234_Lucis50%
    etc....
We need to make this work somehow....

I am trying to convert an Illustrator cs6 file to a PDF and every time I do it, I lose all text and images. Can someone provide some assistance? Thank you!

It's always a good idea to supply platform and AI version info.
How are you "converting" the file? Are you choosing "Save As" and selecting PDF from the file format options? This will bring up additional save options. I would suggest "Illustrator Default" setting unless you have specific needs.

  • File Naming for Image Sequence to work properly?

    Hi,
I shot about a 226 shot time lapse this weekend and so far having a severe pain getting it to be a time lapse movie in photoshop.
    Shots were 3 minutes apart.
Originally I tried using the RAW images, then exported them to full size jpeg, then finally exported them to HD video resolution jpegs thinking format might be part of my issue. But it seems to be more of a naming convention problem.
    Originally tried :
AAA-XXX-<4 digit shot #>-20100508.<ext> & AAA-XXX-<4 digit shot #>-20100509.<ext>  as it spanned over night. Once sequence was loaded I then saved as PSD before trying to export.
That would only load the very first image, even though it would come up with the frame rate question.
Then I shorted it to 0508-HHMMSS.jpg & 0509-HHMMSS.jpg and set the frame rate to 10 frames per second. It warned "This sequence has gaps". Once sequence was loaded I then saved as PSD before trying to export.
This created a 36 minute timeline in CS5 but the opening image was the one I selected, and then about 36 minutes of blank, with a random image from somewhere in the middle of the scene being the last frame.
I tried this in both CS5 and CS4 thinking it may be a bug just in CS5.. but I get the exact same results.
What naming convention is the Image Sequencing 'open' really looking for to work properly. I would have thought that either of the above would have worked.. but so far they are not.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Using Adobe Photoshop CS5 & CS4.
    Christopher

I did just do a generic 1.2.3.4.5.6. export up to 226 and that seems to have worked. But I don't think I should have to do that and the image sequence function should be able to handle more agile file naming sequences.

  • Unable to copy/cut/paste from within custom file naming dialogue (in exporting images)

When I go into the export dialogue and select a portion of a file naming scheme,  I cannot get it into the clipboard. I had wanted to cut a portion of the specification, export with an amended name, and then paste the original back. I am running the beta in Win7 64-bit.

    Advice:
    1) Check Copy in sand-boxed app. in 1.6.0_24+.
    2) Do not hi-jack the threads of other people. Start a new thread and if you think another thread relates to your problem, link to it.

  • File naming

I'm new to the Mac, new to Aperture 3 (running Trial at the moment). Came from PC and PS CS2 and Adobe Bridge. I have most of my pics in folders organized by date (2008-01-13) and inside the folders, the pics have their original file names - img7832.cr2, etc.
Upon importing (I've just tried a few folders), I choses a naming scheme such as Boston2008-01-13_img7832.cr2. I left unchecked the rename Masters because I wasn't sure if that was a good idea or not. What do you think of this naming scheme? Or would you toss out the original file name and put the date in front - such as 2008-01-13_Boston. I'm kind of at a loss as to what down the road is going to be most beneficial when it comes to locating photos or to sorting methods. Are underscores necessary between the various components? I do mostly travel and nature photography and and have generally keyworded in the past to find my pictures. I've scanned forums, etc., but haven't found any really good advice on this. I'd appreciate any thoughts
Reading a bit further, maybe a counter is what I need, such as 2008-01-13Boston001, etc. If I understand that correctly, as I import further pictures to that project, they will just continue the counter (002,003,etc). I only need to remember to reset the counter if I'm going to import into a different project (assuming I don't already have pics in the other project, in which case I would start the counter with the last number in the project + 1).
And returning to the date issue - is there a benefit in having the Date fields at the beginning of the file name? If you were searching for dates, wouldn't the search pull from the date info that is already inside the picture file?
Again, I'm asking for those with some years of experience under their belts, as to their opinions and any downfalls they see with my various schemes.
I should also mention that I'm thinking about letting Aperture "manage" the files, since I have about 100GB to import and I have a 1TB hard drive. If I run out down the road somewhere (I'll probably be dead before then. , then I'm thinking I can just transfer the library to an external and point to it there.
    Thanks!

Hi Mark. You seem to have this pretty well thought through. I'll tell you what I do, just as foil to better refine your scheme, and then I post some comments further down in-line with your questions.
I use this Naming Convention every time I import my photos into Aperture:
    (Image Date)_(Custom Name)_(Sequence Number)_(Master File Name).
I use a Referenced Masters storage system (highly rec'd for all but the most simple installations) with my raw files stored on an external HD. I have Aperture auto-file them by YYYY/MM/DD. I have deliberately built a degree of redundancy into my system. The general idea is that all images should have unique names, and I should be able to roughly identify and exactly re-file an file based on name alone.
    (Image Date)
Starting with this allows me to easy sort files by file name. It is meaningful and useful to me and to the computer.
    (Custom Name)
I store all my images in Aperture's Library in Projects based on shoots. Roughly, one Project per shoot. (If I have only two shots in a Project, I don't worry about it. If I have more than 60 (after stacking) I tend to break them into Albums within the Project.) "Custom Name" allows me to input two pieces of information per shoot which are important to me: "Shoot Name" and "Shoot Location". I type these into the field provided at the time of import as " ShootName_ShootLocation ". This allows me to keep a bit of useful descriptive text attached to the file (and available without opening or previewing it or even having it on my machine).
    (Sequence Number)
    Self-explanatory.
    (Master File Name)
Useful when one has more than one camera at a shoot, and also should anything go wrong during import (I rotate cards and don't re-format them until I put them back in a camera).

Important: you are creating two separate filing schemes in your use of Aperture: one for files, and one for images. Imho, there is no reason to use any time- or date-based scheme for your image storage (date and time are hard-tagged to each image and Aperture provides ample tools to sort and filter by date and time (and day and month and year)).
Upon importing (I've just tried a few folders), I choses a naming scheme such as Boston2008-01-13_img7832.cr2. I left unchecked the rename Masters because I wasn't sure if that was a good idea or not. What do you think of this naming scheme?
I always rename Masters. There is no reason not to.
Or would you toss out the original file name and put the date in front - such as 2008-01-13_Boston.
    Both. See above.
I'm kind of at a loss as to what down the road is going to be most beneficial when it comes to locating photos or to sorting methods.
Again, remember that are creating two distinct storage/filing/retrieval systems (files and images). Your file naming convention should be designed to help you locate and identify files outside of Aperture. Inside Aperture you can make extensive use of Folders, Projects, Albums, Keywords, Labels, and Flags to bring you whatever functionality you desire.
Are underscores necessary between the various components?
The time when this was useful because some computers couldn't handle spaces in file names is past. I do it out of habit.
I do mostly travel and nature photography and and have generally keyworded in the past to find my pictures. I've scanned forums, etc., but haven't found any really good advice on this. I'd appreciate any thoughts
Keyword extensively. Use keywords naturally and personally. Your keywords are for you to help you find your files. (Assuming you are not going to sell Stock Photos.)
Reading a bit further, maybe a counter is what I need, such as 2008-01-13Boston001, etc. If I understand that correctly, as I import further pictures to that project, they will just continue the counter (002,003,etc).
I don't think so. The counter, afaik, counts the number of images in the import.
I only need to remember to reset the counter if I'm going to import into a different project (assuming I don't already have pics in the other project, in which case I would start the counter with the last number in the project + 1).
Seems complicated and likely to fail due to user error.
And returning to the date issue - is there a benefit in having the Date fields at the beginning of the file name? If you were searching for dates, wouldn't the search pull from the date info that is already inside the picture file?
Inside Aperture, there is no advantage whatsoever. Outside Aperture, there is a significant advantage.
Again, I'm asking for those with some years of experience under their belts, as to their opinions and any downfalls they see with my various schemes.
I should also mention that I'm thinking about letting Aperture "manage" the files, since I have about 100GB to import and I have a 1TB hard drive. Highly recommend a Referenced Masters system from the get-go. Terry Devlin (iirc) has many sensible posts on this here -- search the forum.
    Thanks!

  • File Naming Problem in Camera Raw 5.4

Am having a problem when processing Raw images in CS4 using Camera Raw 5.4
After processing the image I click 'Save Image'.
In the 'Save Options' box, under 'File Naming' I enter what I want to call the saved image.
Eg.  'Hooded Top' becomes 'Hooded Top.jpg'
The file is then saved onto the Desktop.
Camera Raw seems to be 'stuck' on a previous file name. It will add the same previous file name to the end of the new image.
You can see in the image that the text to the right of 'Example' also seems to be stuck between two lines of text.
If I want to call an image 'Hooded Top' it will add an old name
Eg. 'Hooded Top' will become 'Hooded TopTrack Pants.jpg'     (Track Pants being the previous image name)
I have been using CS4 trial for a month with no problems. I have just upgraded to CS4 from CS3 today. The program was working fine all morning.
    I have re-installed CS4 and restarted my Mac Pro (OSX 10.5.8). I am using a Canon EOS 5D Mk2.
    Any thoughts appreciated.

    Look in Task Manager.
One or both of them may be running under Processes.
    Use End Process.
My advice is not to use the automatic startup for Bridge.

  • Batch Exporting File Naming Issue

I have to batch export about 30 images at a time, but I am having an issue now that the "Export" piece of the action includes a specific file name in the "save in" property, where as it's supposed to only include the name of the containing folder. This causes all the images included in the batch to be saved with the same file name thus saving over the previous export each time. I cannot figure out how to execute the Save for Web and devices action without it recording the specific file name.
    My process is:
    - Open one image
    - Create a new Action (it begins recording)
    - Crop the image
    - Save for Web and devices (I leave the file name as is, but save it to a different folder) Ex. "annoying_child_screaming.jpeg"
    - Close without saving
    - Stop the action
    - File > Automate > Batch
    - I select the source folder with all the original photos
    - Specify a Destination folder (a different folder where all the cropped ones will be)
    - I don't select any checkboxes
    - File Naming: I leave the default "Document Name" + "extension" Starting serial#: 1
When I hit okay, I can see Photoshop going through each image and doing the specified actions, but instead of preserving the original file name, it saves each one with the file name that I saved the first one when originally creating the action (Ex. it rewrites "annoying_child_screaming.jpeg" for each file)
I just upgraded to CS5 from CS4 (where I hadn't been having this problem). I have compared my settings to a coworker's who's computer it does work on, but we can't figure out what's wrong. The difference is in the Export details in the Actions dialog box - where it has the "IN" property, usually only a folder location is specified, but on my comp, it also specifies the file name.
    Please help.

When you record the save for web step use the original file name
(you noted you did that in post 1)
Is the name you used the same as the file
you opened when recording the save for web step?
Don't specify any destination in the batch dialog or the files will possibly
be overwritten and you'll see the results your seeing.
The destination is the folder you specified during the save for web step while recording the action.

  • File naming: sequencing by date

In the Filename Template Editor and Rename Photos (F2) function, I'd like to be able to sequence my file names by date, with the sequence beginning with 1 for each day, and incrementing regardless how many imports I do.
For example, the first image for January 2, 2008 might be called "08-01-02_001". On that day I may perform three or four imports, and the sequence continues to increment from 001 to however many images I import on that day. The following day the sequence automatically resets to 1.
If images are imported that were recorded on an earlier date, this function would have to increment from the highest number of the date the image was recorded (because this is how Lightroom's date function works). For example, if on December 28, 2007 I shot 243 images and today I import another image that was shot on that day, the file name would be 07-12-28_244.
(I currently sequence by month, manually specifying the start number for each import sequence, but I sometimes forget to change the sequence starting number.)
Thank you for all you've done. I can't imagine working without Lightroom.

I would like to see exactly the same enhancement. Perhaps for some file naming schemes it would be helpful to parameterize that function, e.g., "Resent sequence number [to xxx] whenever [date|month|year|camera ...] changes].
As part of that, I would like very much to have more options/control for the file organization. In particular, I would like to see yyyy/yyyymm/yyyymmdd (e.g., 2008/2008-01/2008-01-15 with the "-" being optional). Right now, the closest you can come to that is yyyy/mm/dd, which leaves too much opportunity for file/folder name confusion.

  • File naming/numbering questions

I have a group of problems with file numbering that I don’t know how to solve.  My goal is to have an organized system.  I’m open to suggestions about how to solve the situation I’m in and what to do in the future.
I keep my images in LR, primarily in one catalog of 13,000+ images.  After I set up my initial file numbering system I didn’t pay any attention to it.  What I did was to set up a system as follows: Myname_Date(YY)Date(MM)Date(DD)_Filename Number Suffix.
This worked fine for a year or so.
Then I went on a trip and came back with about 2500 images on both media cards and on a portable hard drive. Many, but not all of the images on the cards duplicated what was on the HD.  I lost sight of the fact that the numbering system works, not by using the date the image was created but rather the date the image is downloaded into LR’s catalog system and I downloaded my media cards and then dumped the images from the portable HD into LR as well.  What happened in the process is that multiple images got created and I didn’t realize it.  Sometimes I’d edit an image with its number in this format: SB_081102_5402.dng.  Sometimes I’d edit the same image with its number in this format: SB_08_10_22_5402.dng.  I think there are at least 150 images in this 2nd format (plus virtual copies, PSD and JPEGs). (I’ve put the bold here to make it easy to see what’s going on—it’s not in LR).
To make matters worse, now that I’m taking a careful look at the numbers that I have, I’m finding something that I have no explanation for at all. I see that I have some images, (I have no idea how many) that I’ve found duplicates of as follows: one image will be properly numbered with a Filename Number Suffix: SB_081030_7358.dng. Then I’ll see that I have a second imaged weirdly numbered with, essentially, just my name and the date: SB_081030_1-2.dng.  The image seems to be a copy that has lost its Filename Number Suffix.
As if this weren’t enough, I’ve got an upcoming trip where I’ll take two camera bodies that are the same model of camera and it’s quite possible I’ll use both the same day as well as multiple cards that might be used on the same day.  It, therefore, seems to make sense for me to switch to a system that scraps the Filename Number Suffix and replaces it with a 4 digit sequence (0001).  But do I just leave my old, fractured and broken non-system sitting there and then import a new system on top of the old one?
And how do I handle, going forward, importing images that I’ll back up on my portable HD without again getting the mess I’m in now? How do I fix what I've got?  Is there an easy way?  How to even find all the images that are are there with no Filename Number Suffix?
Hope this mess is clear and a huge thanks to anyone patient enough to plow through it and suggest some answers!
    Stephanie
    Mac OS X, LR 2.4

    Stephani,
It was bugging me, too, why I wasn't seeing what you were. I did a little research, and a little investigation, and I think I have some things figured out including some things that may make me re-think my approach.
Basically, the reason we weren't seeing the same things was that I was looking at the rename dialog that pops up when you're in Libary (i.e. you're renaming files that already exist in LR) and you were looking at the rename dialog that appears as part of the import.
I thought these dialogs were the same, but they aren't!
The library dialog has Sequence #, Image #, and Total #, and that's what I wrote about in my prior post.
The import dialog has Sequence #, Image #, and Import #.
I can't find any hard documentation, either, but here's what I *think* happens.
    Library Renaming:
Sequence #: Starts with the sequence number you specify, and increments by 1.
Image #: Out of the total number of images, what image is this (The "x" in Image X of Y)
Total #: The total number of images selected for renaming (The "y" in Image X of Y)
Renaming 3 files with a template "Custom Text_Image # (01)_Total # (01)_Sequence # (01)", where custom text is "SB" and  your starting sequence as 17 (just for illustration), here's what your images would be named:
    Image 1: SB_01_03_17.dng
    Image 2: SB_02_03_18.dng
    Image 3: SB_03_03_19.dng
    Import Renaming:
Sequence #: Same thing as Library
Total #: Similar to Library, the total number of images being imported
Image #: Even though it's named the same as the Libary option, I think it works completely differently. Every image imported gets the next available number. This is the high water mark I think I was looking for!
Import #: Every time you do an import (i.e. click the Import button and import something), this sequence gets incremented by 1.
So let's say you're importing 3 files, with template "Custom Text_Import #(01)_Image #(01)_Total #(01)_Sequence #(01). Custom text is "SB", and sequence starts with 1.
    Image 1: SB_01_01_03_01.dng
    Image 2: SB_01_02_03_02.dng
    Image 3: SB_01_03_03_03.dng
Then, you import 4 more images. The interesting thing to note here is that the Import # now becomes 2 (your second import), but the Image # picks up where it left off.
    Image 1: SB_02_04_04_01.dng
    Image 2: SB_02_05_04_02.dng
    Image 3: SB_02_06_04_03.dng
    Image 4: SB_02_07_04_04.dng
Then, you import 3 more images. The Import # now becomes 3, and again Image # picks up where it left off.
    Image 1: SB_03_08_03_01.dng
    Image 2: SB_03_09_03_02.dng
    Image 3: SB_03_10_03_03.dng
The interesting thing to note about this is that Image #, if used consistently, would ensure that each image had a unique number. So always specifying an import template of "Custom Text_Image #(00001)" would mean that you could have SB_00001.cr2 through SB_99999.cr2.
Caveat #1 is that apparently Import # and Image # don't start incrementing until you actually use them. I've done countless imports and have thousands of images, but the first time I used these fields, Import # was 1, and Image # was 1.
I suspect that it's the fact that you actually USE these fields in a naming template during an import that causes them to be incremented. If you don't use them during import, the fields won't be incremented. I haven't verified this yet.
Caveat #2 is that I don't see any way of changing these number if you don't like them. For example, if you've already imported 3,0000 images, and want Image # to start at 3001, too bad. If you've never used Image #, it's going to start at 1. Of course, I'm sure it's stored somewhere in the .lrcat file
Still, I think Import # and Image #  are extremely helpful, and I think I might start using them to ensure unique filenames.
The puzzler is how all this figures into LR's determining a "suspected duplicate", assuming LR uses filename as part of that.
If I rename every image upon import to SB_xxxxx.dng, LR thinks that SB_xxxxx.dng is the original name.
So if I have camera 1 with DSC_1234.nef, and it's renamed to SB_00001.dng upon import, what happens when I try to import the BACKUP of camera 1's DSC_1234.nef? If it was imported, it would be named SB_00002.dng. But hopefully LR know it's a  duplicate, right?
But what happens if I have camera 2, and it has a completely different image that also happens to be named DSC_1234.nef. Would that be considered a duplicate?
I've never seen or heard the actual logic for how LR determines a duplicate, but with renaming upon import and multiple cameras, I think it's pretty important to know.

  • File naming issue/workflow help needed...

I shoot weddings and am continually frustrated with A2's file naming. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated as it's killing my workflow.
THE GOOD: I import the images with the file name I want and the metadata I want. I then edit out, deleting bad images and leaving borderline images (as outtakes) in the project while putting my selects together for the client in a smart album. I put the selects in a smart album based on their rating and keywords. The selects are not sequential, so I "select all" and make "batch change" putting them in sequence.
THE BAD: Here is where I always encounter my first problem. Any images I have have worked on (in Photoshop) for my website now have different names. So when I export all in the album, the worked-on versions don't fit in sequentially. And some stacks have the edited image on top, and others do not.
The other problem is when a bride places an order. I find the corresponding file and externally edit it. It now resides in the smart album with a different name than all the files around it. I put the print size in the exported version name and I have to open the dialog box for every single image and re-type the size in the custom name space. I have an order with 295 different images and it's killing me. The other problem is when the bride goes to re-order a print she has, the number on the back has no connection to the numbers on my site or the smart album.
I find I'm going back to Photomechanic more often just to organize and name images because it actually changes the name of the file instead of "masking" it as A2 seems to do.
Is there a way to keep A2 from doing this and how do I get the adjusted image to be the pick of the stack?
    Thanks-Kevin

I happily paid the 20 bucks for 'A Better Finder Renamer' and was able to have it batch rename RAW files to my needs. It uses simple Boolean logic to cut or add to a file name and can read time stamps from the file.

  • How do I restore original file naming on an import

Through a process of idiocy and confusion, I've ended up with TWO creation dates on my files, e.g. 20140112-20140112-Johnny at the beach.  I tried the step back, step back, step back system, or "undo, undo" but that didn't succeed.  I've tried creating a new catalogue to re-import the photos from iPhoto, but I've mislaid the File Renaming Panel that my Lightroom tutor's handout mentions as being on the right-hand side of the screen.  I can only see Histogram and Keyword list.
When I try and rename the files individually, I don't get an option to merely remove one of the 201401112 key strings, I get a series of checkboxes.
I know I've done wrong, but I want to undo it and not make it worse.  I'm scared that if I restore original settings, I'll delete all of my images - all 1400+ of them!
Anyone who can give a solution gets a lovely cake.

I suggest you stop Re-Naming your images on import and place them in folders by the date they were shot. Lightroom can do that for you on import from card or camera or you can do it yourself manually before you import them into LR. You could also put the Sub-folders by date in a top level folder by year or just in one folder named whatever you like.
Not sure why people Re-Name their images when copying them from the card/camera to their hard drive. To me that makes no sense at all. If I have images that I want to separate from others I will manually re-name them and or assign a keyword or rating to them. You can also have collections of images by subject, location, date or whatever you like and those collections can be from any folder imported into LR.
The only time I would even think about re-naming images on import, and or copying to my hard drive, is if I have 2 identical cameras. Which I have in the past. But even then I changed the file naming in the camera having one cameras files start with 1 and the other start with 2

  • Wrong file naming on latest installation ISO

    Hi all.
I whose trying to install Arch from latest installation ISO without any success. I whose thinking that whose problem with UEFI and USB combination, similar to this
    Boot USB installation as EFI
I've whose getting same output as on this screenshot
But after studying error messages, I've noticed some wrong file naming:
    \ARCH\X86_64\USR_LIB_MODULES_FS.SFS
    \ARCH\X86_64\ROOT_IMAGE_FS.SFS
    \ARCH\I686\USR_LIB_MODULES_FS.SFS
    \ARCH\I686\ROOT_IMAGE_FS.SFS
    \ARCH\ANY\USR_SHARE_FS.SFS
    Setup expects to find
    \ARCH\X86_64\USR-LIB-MODULES.FS.SFS
    \ARCH\X86_64\ROOT-IMAGE.FS.SFS
    \ARCH\I686\USR-LIB-MODULES.FS.SFS
    \ARCH\I686\ROOT-IMAGE.FS.SFS
    \ARCH\ANY\USR-SHARE.FS.SFS
After changing file names, setup boots up normally and start shell. This is problem with file names or in ARCHISO.IMG?
Hope it helps for others to run installation media.

thanks alot for the clarification, I tried to search Google on this trouble and I finally found this post!
I also had to rename, although I extracted with 7-zip I renamed both the ROOT_IMAGE.FS.SFS files to whatever was tried at the prompt ...
We really should put some pre-built alternative images up for this on the download-page

  • Can you 'link' an image state icon, across a folio.....?

Here's a thought for you all.....Can you 'link' an image state icon, across a folio.....
for example a "blinking" 'tap me' 2 state icon, that if you alter, it alters across the whole folio via links??
    Object styles?

For each icon that you want to use in your email signature:
locate icon on internet webpage - right-click on the icon and select 'Save Image as'. Save the icon to your computer in a suitable file.
    Then in Thunderbird
    insert > Image
choose file - locate the saved icon on your computer
click on Link tab and enter the www etc webpage link info
click on OK to insert image with link.
Codewise, where you have the actual icon you would need something stating where the icon is located:
    eg
    <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ubiquia/146019678805381" target="_blank">
path to image saved on computer included in within <> </a>
