All of my uploaded music within iTunes has been deleted, it is still on my C drive (I think) the music I had downloaded from the itunes store had also been removed but was available to download via the icloud system. HELP.

My iTunes 11.1.5.5 was running fine on my Windows 7 machine untill I opened iTunes to find all my uploaded CD albums missing with only my purchased iTunes store dowloads avalible, these had also been deleated but appeared within iTunes both to play and re dowload via icloud.
Over 170gb of music was deleated from iTunes. I checked my C drive and it appears that the music is still on the P.C hard drive.
Is there an easy simplistic way to repopulate my iTunes from my C drive.
Simple instructions would help.

Purchase an external hard drive and use the backup software that comes with it to backup files from your computer.
Buy TouchCopy and install it on your new computer, connect your old iPod and transfer your songs to your computer.

When you download something from the iCloud, it is a brand new licensed copy. Your iCloud account just contains a notation that you have this app. It isn't storing an actual copy of the app from your Mac.

If the installation didn't finish, maybe OS X 10.8.3 was installed partially, and it doesn't show up because the updater already updated the OS X version to 10.8.3, although it doesn't mean that everything was installed and updated. I have been reading and re-reading about air play and iTunes in the cloud for some time and I am eagerly awaiting its full functionality. What I am not seeing which does bum me out a little is the aspect of all of my historical purchases from the iTunes store. I have made many music purchases from a computer long ago gone and not to be found. I want to know if all of those purchases will once again be available to me via the cloud. I would venture to say that Apple knows all of my buying history with great detail. I know I am to be held responsible for not making complete back ups of everything I ever bought through them I have lost a chunck of music and video over time. Will these purchases going back many years of iTunes shopping be returned to me via a cloud service...? I know for me, that will make jumping in to any pay for use fee a lot more palatable if I can restore my old purchases like some long lost present now found again behind the couch...

HT201442 Just bought a brand new ipod touch a month ago and went in to iTunes. There was an update for me so I downloaded it to my ipod and then it went into recovery mode. Tried to restore it in itunes but was told this device isn't eligible. Help!!

Just bought a new ipod touch a month ago. Went into itunes to burn music and had an update to download which I did. Then I get a message that my ipod has gone into recovery mode. It's locked up with a black screen with iTunes logo and picture of a plugin on the screen. Tried to restore it as recommended but itunes said this device isn't eligible for the requested build. Error codes 3194 and 17. This is very frustrating considering the cost of the ipod and how new it is. Now what do I do? Buy another one? Can anybody fix these types of things? Is this a common occurance or am I just unlucky?

The photo sync is one-way: Computer to phone. Photos synced to your phone will have to be extracted from your phone using third-party software, if you want them on your computer, as Apple makes no provision to do so. Since you're using a Mac, you can use this:

Backup, backup, backup
As a minimum, use 3-2-1 (or even more)
3 copies of your data (original copy counts as 1)
2 different backup utilities/storage formats (protects from bugs in the software)
1 copy off-site (protects against theft, fire, and natural disaster)
More backup copies are even better.
Backup disks are cheap compared to the lost of personal data that does not exist anywhere else.

i was downloading the latest software upgrade when the message "Itunes has detected an Iphone in recovery mode. You must restore this phone before it can be used with Itunes" came up. My option of I phone recovery mode says that it will restore the Iphone to factory mode losing all information.
