All ok for 64 bit apps, printer INVISIBLE to 32 bit apps

Hello,
I'm running Win7Pro64SP1 on a Z800 workstation, and recently had a partial disk crash in which a few sectors went into oblivion - after disk repair etc. and a few reinstalls, most everything came back ok, but here and there I still do stumble on a corrupted dll that needs replacement.
Today I saw that Adobe Reader was unable to print on my OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus, which is on the ethernet LAN. Never had a problem with Reader before... so I reinstalled everything for Reader but to no avail, even though Wordpad prints without a glitch and I can scan with the printer (i.e. communication with it is not an issue). So I installed the latest All-In-One driver for the printer... but still no success. Then I run the "HP Print and Scan Doctor" application which told me that everything was absolutely FINE... except that when I tried to print the test page, nothing came out from the printer. But the "Doctor" gave me the opportunity to print an "Internal test page"... and that one printed ok!!
Then I noticed this: each time I tried to print from a 64bit application (like Wordpad), everything went fine... but for 32bit applications (e.g. Adobe Reader) the printer is invisible! We are in software development business and have 32 and 64 bit versions of everything we do, so I tried to print from one of our software in Java: the 64bit version printed ok, but the 32bit version of exactly the same jar just gave me
java.awt.print.PrinterException: No printer found.
So clearly, (1) the printer is ok, (2) the communication with it is ok, but (3) the printer "doesn't exist" in 32 bits, although it is fine in 64 bits! So I obviously tried to install at least the basic 32bit drivers for the printer... but was adviced to install the 64bit version instead (which I already did, with succes).
I know that drivers (like printer drivers) are dlls, and that you can't mix different bitness in the same image, but given the number of applications that still exist in 32 bits only, I thought that the 64bit All-In-One installer (OJ8600_1315.exe) would install both 63 AND 32 bit drivers??
Any idea on how I can make 32bit apps aware of the printer, too?

I SOVED it:
- deleted the printer and then reinstalled it specifying "I will connect LATER". I don't know whether this installed the driver locally, but probably so: I was able to print the Test Page
- then I scouted the Net for posts about similar problems, and found that many people had the 32 bit spooler (splwow64.exe) crashing... so I checked where that file was on another Win7 machine, and found it's in CWindows... whether on my machine the file wasn't there! It must have disappeared in the crash...
- I copied splwow64.exe from the other machine to C:\Windows, and everything works fine again in both 32 and 64 bits
Conclusion: the spoolers are not the same for printing from 32 and 64 bit applications, check both. Hope this may help some of you.

Completely uninstall Office. Reinstall it from scratch using the original media. If you don't have the uninstaller then follow these procedures for getting it all removed:
Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder. Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item. Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder. Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences. Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab. Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS. Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term. Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default. You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder. Usually with the same name as the program or the developer. The item generally has a ".pkg" extension. Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications. Here is a selection:

How to push the Planning preferences to all users for a particular app

I am trying to do
FIle -> Preferences ->Display options to be populated to all users. So that each users don't have to go and do those changes.
I am using version 11.1.2.1

Administrators can set application defaults. When the users settings are set to Use Application Default, the setting will be what the administrator has specified.

I'll try to help a bit.
ITunes match space is different to icloud space. With iTunes match you get storage for 25,000 non iTunes purchased tracks and other than a limit for individual file size, there is no memory limit.
You can turn match on individuallyon each device (I have it turned off on my iPod but turned on on my iPad and iPhone). When you turn it on then you get access to all the tracks, and in my experience any playlists I create have transferred over very well. I understand that some people have had trouble with playlists though.
I'm not quite clear with exactly what you mean regarding cleaning up your library, but be careful about using Match for this. There is no guarantee that matched songs will be exactly the same version as your own copy, due to some mismatches, so you could find some problems there. Personall, I am cleaning up my library before matching, but I am rather particular about keeping my library the way I want it. If you aren't as fussed then match could be the answer.

HP PSC 1315xi All in One from 32-bit XP to FULL FEATURE for 64-bit Windows 7

Switched from 32-bit XP to 64-bit Windows 7, which did not install all printing features or my scanner. Know a lot of people have this problem, can't find the forum which is exactly for this particular problem, and can't find an HP download. There are so many other companies on the HP Support pages. Might you include on your title page how to re-read this subject?
I'm afraid I'll lose my print and copy functions forever if I first Uninstall. Would checking "Add Printer" preserve my present version until after I get a successful download or maybe even a new Disk for 64-bit Windows 7? I haven't even found that yet. Thanks. [edited by Moderator]

Print driver host for 32 bit applications has stopped working

I just bought a Hp ENVY 7640 printer. I cannot use the wireless printing on my 64 bit computer, with Windows 7. I get an error message "print driver host for 32 bit applications has stopped working". I have looked into all of your online support solutions and nothing I have tried has fixed the problem.

Was there any resolution to this issue? We have a user with the same issue. The details of the error are:

Dear All
There are some free apps for memory like 'memory clean' in the Mac App Store. However my Macbook has 32-bit processor so I cant use most of them. Are there any free apps for memory for 32-bit processor macbooks?

The problem is I can only update the software on one of the three iPhones – the primary phone I used to setup the iTunes acct. This is probably a common problem with families wanting to share apps and music without realizing the issues created by this approach. As it stands today... the first (primary) iPhone associated with the iTune acct has been updated with the latest software version 5.1.1 and sync'd up with all the apps, music, etc from the one iTune acct, while the other two iPhones are still running on the original software version 4.0.2 and are experiencing problems now. I was advised by AT&T back in January that it would be necessary to setup separate iTunes accts for the second and third iPhones in order to receive system updates. The problem would be how to keep all the apps, etc from being deleted off the second and third phones that were originally loaded from the one iTunes acct. Since this AT&T advice was prior to iCloud coming out, would iCloud be a better solution or at least part of the solution? I really don't yet understand how iCloud works. I have a user who wants to do this same thing. I did not find any way either to default the attributes to anything other than what you see the first time. Well...I went to the modem (Westell, WireSpeed), found the NAT settings, once again, I'm WAY over my head, I am assuming this is a TCP connection (as opposed to a UDP) and per Lorex my mobile devices will use port 1025. So I gave it a "global port range" of 1-10 and I indicated that the "base host port" was 80, 1025, & 9000 (ports 1,2,3). When I selected the 'enable' it asked for a "host devise" my choices are my IPhone, IMac and the IP address for the dvr, so I choose the dvr. I still cannot connect and canyouseeme still can NOT find these open ports. This is taking up my whole day! I don't know how people figure this stuff out.

I am not sure whether the music will get restored.
Anyway try this
1.Connect iPhone to PC.
2.Open iTunes
3.Open iPhone Summary
4.Go to Apps Tab
5.Under File Sharing Section Click on Music Downloader
6.Right side if you see your songs click on one song and press (CTRL + A).(hope you are using windows) and click on save and then save to a folder on your computer.
7. Later just do steps till 5 to put to new iPhone then ...........
8.Click on save and select the music files which u want to put in that app.
9.Click on apply to sync.
10.You should be having the music in that app
