All options gone when printing to HP photosmart B8350

This printer, an HP photosmart B8350, used to work with a champ with LR1 (Mac OS 10.5.4).
First time I tried to print out of LR2, all the HP options for selecting paper type, print quality, ink saturation levels, etc. are gone.
All these options are still present if I try to print out of Photoshop.
I updated the HP software, and confirmed that printing functions still work properly on other apps besides LR.
I used Manage by Printer before, and got better results than application-managed (opposite of what others experienced, but hey it worked).
By the way, under Color Management - instead of Managed by Printer or Manged by Application, now it says Managed By Printer or "Other." Selecting "Other" brings up a list of HP profiles for combinations of paper and ink (i.e., Premium Plus / Tri-Color+Grey, Premium Plus / Tri-Color+Photo, etc).
Any ideas? I was already frustrated by the fact that LR2 stopped being able to send files to PS CS3. Now, in order to print from, I have to save files as tifs and then open in PS. Grrr!

When you hit Print, is the dialog that comes up really small? If so, there's a triangle you can hit to the right of the Printer menu in the dialog that'll expand it to full size. This was something Apple added in 10.5 to simplify printing, but it's caused a lot of confusion.
If that's not it, are any of the menu items in the middle menu (the one that starts out saying "Layout") crossed out? If so, you're probably running in 64 bit mode and the printer driver probably does not work in 64 bit. If you're using the latest driver, then try launching Lightroom in 32 bit mode (in the Finder, do Get Info on the application and check Open in 32 Bit Mode).
If neither of those work, let me know.

Incorrect color when printing photos--HP Photosmart C5280

Good afternoon. The color is WAY off when printing photos. Am using an HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-One. Colors appear somewhat muted, as well as having too much red and yellow. Have tried adjusting color, but then photo definition is lost. Do photo pixels have anything to do with color quality?

I have exactly the same problem with my hp photosmart c5380. Have you had any sucess with yours as i have tried every thing I can think of without any sucess

Printer doesnt appear in the print options window when printing from an application like word etc

Ok this topic is all over the help forums but I have a couple of different observations not previously covered and all remedies that have been posted and worked for most havent worked for me
First of all the Printer used to work with USB or NET connection and then suddenly unexpectedly stopped working. I cant say with 100% conviction whether this was when the upgrade to windows 7 occured or not
things I have tried:-
I have used the hp install wizard
I have a downloaded the windows 7 update.
I can ping the device
I can print a test page.
The icon appears in the device and printer window but with an exclamation mark.
I have tried NET STOP SPOOLER / NET START SPOOLER.
I can scan docuemnts OK
here is the part that I believe appears to be different from the other case on the forum.
If I open a word document and select print the printer preferences dialogue window opens but no printer is visible to select. When I select add printer it shows my network then double clicking this opens a window showing a printer icon but its a previous version?? so when I select it as a printer to add nothing happens and it still doesnt appear as a selectable printer in the printer preferences pop up window. So doesnt print any thing
Im lost for any other ideas to try

I had already tried this and it didnt work on your advice I repeated the process with same results it appears in devices list but with an exclamation mark but trouble shooter fails to find any problem
I refer you to the things tried and status in my first post i.e. I can ping the IP, I can scan. So my thoughts are now it must be something on my PC side that is the issue and not the printer or printer software.
Could it be a security level issue that's the reason why manual selection of add printer comes back access denied ??. Possibly I need admin login. However I am the admin and single user of my PC anyway so I should have access.
or some other PC setting why it doesnt see the printer in the printer settings when printing from an application ?

Borderless problem when printing with HP Photosmart K510A

help me with this one HP support is closed today, are you experiencing this borderless problem if printing bordless a part of the image gets cut off when printing right now I'm printing in 4R the when I "print preview" the image is not cut off but when the actual output of print its cut off in all 4 corners maybe a few millimeters
look at my watermark its cut off my aspect ratio is 3:2
I printed it on a 4x6 paper (4R) they have identical aspect ratio I even tried to cropped to 4R still it gets cut off or is this an HP printer problem
please help this is getting frustrating

All applications crash when printing

The problem mysteriously began to appear about a week after installing 10.4.11 with a couple of printers. Cannot resolve after performing "Reset Printing System", repairing permissions, running 10.4.11 Combo Update. Now crashes every time I print to any printer.
The problem occurs when Print is selected from File menu - the Mac quits the application. This occurs in all applications with all printers.
Any ideas?

I think I would reinstall OS X 10.4.11 using the combo updater. Something apparently went amiss the first time around.

Turns off and on when printing e-mails Photosmart Plus B210A

When printing e-mails and/or attachments, machine turns off with warning that it was incorrectly turned off. It will then turn itself on and off several times. I have unplugged it and as soon as it starts to print what is in memory, it turns itself off again. I can print word or other programs. But I can't always copy attachments over to word and that is a hassle for as many e-mails as we receive. Of course it is just barely out of warranty. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Background image is gone when printing out the page

I have a region with table and created a style as follows:
th {font-size:9pt;font-weight:bold;background-image: url(#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#blue.gif)}
when i print out the page, the image color for TH is gone. How to change to show the color in the print-out.

All printers gone, cannot print

All my printers are gone from the dialog boxes and I cannot print anything anymore. This after a recent stay at friends, where one of them set me up for network printing on their network (which worked). I have re-installed the printer drivers, but no joy. Ideas?

Done that. Nada.... The location when the network printer was set up was 'Automatic'. To give a more detailed description of what's happening:
- trying to print
- pop-up says: no printer selected
- go to 'add printer'
- dialog box sees printer (Epson DX 7450/USB)
- printer list fields are populated correctly
- drop down at bottom (please select driver....) is grayed out, however is active
- going own into the list of Epson printers does not find the correct printer
- trying 'other' and trying to find the printer driver is unsuccessful also
I have re-installed the driver at least twice - where does this go to? I don't seem to be able to locate it in the Library folder (I see an xmp file with the name, but nothing more).

Letters all spaced out when printing e-mail

I have a C5280 HP all in one printer, I am on Windows Vista, computer is a HP SR541OF, and AT&T Yahoo mail. Don't know if this is a printer problem or?.
It just started yesterday all of a sudden, I don't think I changed anything.
When I print an e-mail the letters are all spaced out evenly (about 1/2" apart) L i k e T h i s.
If I print a picture or logo etc. it prints OK, but the date and time stamp are all spaced out..
Any ideas? I checked on my printer help page and e-mail home page and I don't see anything to fix this. HELP.

I have the same problem. Just started yesterday (3/5/2011). I'm using the HP 3210 all in one. I did recently upgrade to the latest version of Firefox. Maybe that could be the issue.

Default color when printing envelopes on Photosmart 309g

When I print envelopes using Microsoft Word, the color of the letters is green. I have tried changing the color selection from automatic to black in the Word program but the color still comes out green. Printing of the Word document does default to black when automatic is selected for the color.

Welcome to the HP forums!
I'm sorry to hear you've been having issues printing envelopes with your Photosmart 7520, but I would be happy to have a look into this and make some suggestions.
The first thing I will suggest is that you have a look through this Printing an envelope page from Microsoft that explains how to properly set up the program to print the envelope, including changing print settings.
This How to print to envelopes in Microsoft Word 2013 video below also shows a few things to check as well.
Let me know if anything changes after that

Where has the 'custom export' options gone when exporting slideshow iPhoto 9.5.1

I can't remember if my iPhoto has updated recently but all of a sudden i can no longer do a custom export and the only window that pops up is this one
when i used to get this one before
am I going mad, or has this just disappeared.

These options were removed by Apple. No one outside of Apple knows why.

Missing Left line on all the invoices when printing from APPS

Hi Guys,
I need help here as i am learning XML. I customized one of my invoices RTF template and looks fine. When i generate the Invoice output from Apps through concurrent manager I am getting output with missing left line. When i tried to print from View Output its printing fine.
Is anyone came across this? Please let me know if anybody has solution.

Using scanner on an HP C7280 all in one when printer component doesnt work

I have an HP C7280 that has been having problems not printing for a lot of reasons that are not fixable. However, I would like to use the scanner portion of the printer. Is there a way to get the printer to scan/copy only and eliminate the printer side of the "all in one"?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I understand that you would like to retire your printer and only use it as a copier/scanner.
To better assist you, would you please give me some information on the reasons why the printing side is being retired? I’m asking because there are some errors that can occur that will stop you from using the scanner/copying features, in particular copying as it will use the printer side of things. In addition would you please let me know how the printer is connected (USB cable, ethernet, or wireless)?
