All options in iWeb are grayed out!

This might be a stupid noob question, but when I first launch iWeb, it gave me a bunch of options to choose different templates and create on my own page. Now when launch iWeb, all the options are pretty much grayed out. The only option to choose from under "File" is "Close". Just about all the other options under the other menus are grayed out as well. Any help would be appreciated.
MacBook   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

The only thing that I have heard other people try that has worked more times than on chance alone is to delete the iWeb application and then reinstall iWeb 1.0 from your iLife or recovery disks. Then update to 1.1.1 via Software Update.

  • Unable to format usb stick all options in erase are grayed out

Iam having a problem with a 2 week old emtec 128gb usb stick, it is stuck on read only.
I bought it because i recently bought a new macbook pro 2013 and i needed a drive that worked on both mac and windows to transfer mostley media files from my old hp to the mac.
It worked fine the fist couple of times i used it, copying/pasting files between windows and mac, and then i connected it to my gf macbook to copy some files but i couldnt because it had changed to read only. I connected back to my macbook to change it in the get info but there was no option to change it on the bottom in the sharing & permissions it just has "you can only read". I connected back to my gf macbook and tryed the same thing but that didnt work eirther. I then tried to repair the stick in disk utility but i only had the option to verify and that told me to repair it but the repair button it gryed out, so i then tryed to re-format it but all the options in the erase part are gryed out.
I have also tryed to format it on a pc but that didnt work it say it is "write protected". There is no physical switch on the stick itself that makes it read only. The sticks format is fat32.
So my question is, does anyone know of this happening before and if so did they find a solution??

So emtec had a restore tool for that modle usb stick, they sent me this download http://www.emtec-international.com/sites/default/files/drivers/restore.ziip
This fixed it, even tho i stated i own a mac in the email i sent to emtec this restore program will ONLY work on windows

  • HT6437 My itunes cannot locate my ipod. All the sync option are grayed out and diagnostics says that itunes cannot find usb ports and that no device is connected when it is. What should I do to solve this issue?

So itunes is giving me problems. Since around Christmas time, itunes decided to stop reading my ipod. I connect it to my computer with the usb cable and my computer will recognize that a device is connected but itunes will not. If I go to file->devices and try to sync, all of my sync options are grayed out, while before it would just automatically sync.
When I run diagnostics it tells me that under ports that it cannot find usb ports (it has a green circle?), a type of cable isn't found, and that no device is connected with the usb cable (which my ipod is). I have been trying to fix this issue but nothing is working. I've tried restarting my ipod, itunes, and my computer, i've also tried resetting my ipod and uninstalling itunes then reinstalling itunes but nothing seems to be working.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Do the USB ports work for other devices?
    Does the iPod charge?

  • All the files are grayed out in iTunes

My iPod died a few days ago and it was replaced (5G 30GB). I’ve connected the new one to iTunes on my computer (WinXP pro) and all the files seemed to transfer correctly to the new iPod. In iTunes, however, it you select the iPod on the left, all the files are grayed out and you can’t click on them. With my old iPod you could. I also noticed a little locked symbol down at the bottom to the right of where it shows you how much space is left on your iPod hard drive. I’m guessing that the new iPod drive is somehow locked. I can’t find anything in iTunes that controls this. Is there a way to unlock the iPod drive so you can click on the ipod files in iTunes?
    Asus P4C800   Windows XP Pro

Grey text when you look at the content and lock symbol at the bottom of the screen simply shows that your iPod is set to "automatically update songs and playlists". . If you want to access your iPod directly, play it through your iTunes, connect it to a second computer etc. you just need to change the update method to "Manually manage songs and Playlists" in the iPod preferences. For more detail see this tutorial: Managing Your Songs Manually
One thing to be aware of with manually updating is that the iPod also has to be manually ejected before the "Do Not Disconnect" message will go away. Safely disconnect iPod
    For info: iPod 101
The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab):
    1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.
    2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.
    3) Manually manage songs and playlists. You can also choose to transfer music to the iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to the iPod.

  • Any reasons why these options are grayed out in PSA? Transfer/Create/Delete

    Hi,
I have a flat file mater data attri in PSA and it is not showing in Targeted InfoObject. When I select all the objects in the PSA, I thought the "Transfer" option in the menu option List, would let me transfer the selected data into the customer infoobj but Transfer, Create and Delete options under List in the PSA are grayed out.
Any reasons for these options being grayer out?
Any way to push the data from here in the the InfoObject?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    thanks for the input.
No, this is not through process chain
I created infopak to load the data from flat file... which placed it in the PSA.
Then I created DTP which is supposed to take the data to the Customer InfoObj  but it did not. That is why I wanted to manually push it from PSA to InfoObj.
    Any more help?
    Thanks

  • "Synchronize Now" and other options are grayed out?

I'm pretty sure this is not technically a WSUS issue but it's only affecting WSUS in this scenario, so...
I have 4 WSUS servers, all in the same OU in Active Directory.  1 is my master server, the other 3 are the replicas.  About a week ago, all of the sudden my 3 replicas have "Synchronize Now" is grayed out.  Server Cleanup Wizard and WSUS Server Configuration Wizard are grayed out in the Options view, but even the other options say "You do not have sufficient permissions to modify these settings" when I click on them.  As a result I can't do manual synchronizations if I have to make a quick approval change.  My nightly synchs still occur, thankfully.  This is not an issue on my master server even though it is in the same OU and (from what I can tell) the same permissions are applied.
I'm an administrator (triple checked group membership in Administrators, when I log in, AU prompts me for updates, etc).  I don't know what permissions it is missing.  Running Server 2003, and checked to make sure the shortcut doesn't have a funky permissions restriction.  I'm at a complete loss.  I've rebooted the servers several times for other things, removed any updates that were recently installed...
Pretty positive it's something simple but it is escaping me.  It is possible the server admin team changed something in AD or on the servers themselves, but I've checked what I know to check and don't see anything suspect.  A little help?  What permissions make the WSUS console "go"?

    An update to this.  :/
Got impatient enough to remove WSUS and all its components from the least important server, rebooted, re-installed WSUS and (so far) nothing is grayed out or is malfunctioning in any way.
Has anyone ever seen this happen to them?  I searched google quite a bit on this one, and found nothing but this thread linked below, which didn't describe my issue except for the 3rd (and final) post.

  • Arrange options are grayed out.

I need to send an image to the background but in the top menu and in inspector on the image tab, the options to select in-line, background, etc, are grayed out. How can I force this image to the back ground?

    Greg,
I'll give you an explanation as to why the Page Layout mode doesn't provide for Master Objects and Background Objects. Hopefully you can make a rational decision about which garbage you prefer.
As Fruhulda noted, Pages doesn't have a Text Layer. Since the Background is the area behind the Text Layer, Background has no practical meaning in a PL doc.
A Page Layout document is comprised of 1-page Sections. A Section Master Object is one that persists for an entire Section. Since (all) Sections in a Page Layout document are (only) 1 page in length, Section Master Object has no practical meaning in a PL doc.
You may use the Arrange menu to set the stacking order of objects in Page Layout document.
You may use Format > Advanced > Capture Pages... to establish pages with elements that can be reused later in the document.

  • All my songs are grayed- out in itunes

I got a new itouch. I used my cousin's itunes to sync songs and videos (since i was spending christmas/news years there) now that im home, i "erased and sync" and even restored it so i can sync with MY itunes. The problem is now that some of my songs are on my ipod, in itunes they are grayed-out (as in i cant click on it). Can anyone tell me why and how i can fix it? Do i have to restore my ipod as new or something?

H Again: OK, new things to try. I see you are on Windows, so it may look a little different than what I see. With your iPod Touch (IPT) connected, click on the IPT name in the left pane, you should now see several tabs, click the "summary" tab, one of the options at he lower part of this pane is "Manually manage music and videos". Now click on the "music" in the left pane, under your IPT. Are the songs accessible now? It did change on mine when I made this change.
