All pages contents are diagonal (text, pictures, buttons...)

when i open firefox, the home page loads, but everything is diagonal, and it's the same for every page, they load but all the contents are diagonal. an example: i see a button that should be in a corner standing in the middle of the page and when i want to click on it, the text from the button appears near it so i have to click there to load this content. it's like the button and it's picture are separated and everything it's diagonal, even the text is italic.

Why Are My Text Align Buttons Grayed Out?

My users are unable to center text when edited pages in CS3 and CS4. The standard paragraph alignment buttons are grayed out.
All the users of my site have Admin role, and I have set up the role to allow unrestricted editing. And "Allow Users to Apply Styles"... At screenshot of some of my settings is attached. I don't see why Contribute is not allowing this basic element to work.

I experienced the very same issue, but found an interesting quick-fix that worked for us.
Several of my webpage content managers reported that they could not change the text alignment in pages created using Dreamweaver nested templates. We use nested editable regions in order to restrict portions of the pages (i.e. banners and navigation menus) from being edited.
I found that Contribute CS4 could realign text in some parts of the affected pages, but not others.
Further exam revealed that Contribute could change the alignment on any text that was inside a table on those pages. If I inserted a table and then cut-n-pasted the problem text into the table, the text lost its style/formatting, but it could then have its alignment changed.
Any text not inside a table could not have the alignment changed by Contribute and changing its style/formatting made no difference.
One note though: It was interesting that after pasting the text into a table, if I selected a chunk of text, the alignment buttons grayed out again. However, if I simply clicked on the line of text (did not select it), the buttons remained active and the text alignment could be changed.
I don't know why it is happening. The nested regions were working fine, or so I thought, until recently.
The above is a quick-fix and got my page content managers back online, but I'm still searching for a long-term solution if anyone has one.

I'm sorry, but your English is pretty difficult for me to figure. I'm assuming your asking how to have a Dreameraver template support ColdFusion. It hat is what you are asking, the template file extension should be: YourTemplateName.dwt.cfm - this tells Dreamweaver is a ColdFusion template.

Master page content area height

Hello
I have a subform within a master page content area,
The subform has table which i allowed the content to break to the next page.
When i try to get the height of the subform it only gives me the height from the first page and ignores the rest on other pages the table broke to.
I need the height of the subsequent pages in order to position another subform at the bottom of the last page.
Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Muse page content "jumps" when using menu button

I Created a simple portfolio website in Adobe Muse. Two pages (projects and contact) and for both using the same underlaying stramien page (don't know the English word for that). I added a menu widget to navigate between the two pages. Works fine, but whenever I use the menu button the page content (text and/or pictures) make a little vertical jump before they are in their right position. Obviously this little "jump" is not like it is supposed to be. The website is not yet published or online, cause it's not finished yet, but the problem occurs when I preview what I've made so far.
What could be the cause of this problem and how can I repair it ??

try loading my page, www.stacystechpubs.com using Chrome.
Then you see a bar of menu items across the page (home, who am I, terms,...) try clicking on one, then the next one, then the next one. You'll see the box 'Stacy's Tech Publications' jumps when you click on a link.
If you still aren't sure what I mean I need to take a screen capture video and upload it.

Shift or Adjust All Pages/Content for Print

Is there a way to shift all content in an entire publication by specified amounts, from one central location or command - as a temporary "effect"?
I work with a document containing a set of labels (@70) that print the variable, b&w text portions of products onto otherwise pre-printed labels (color background images and logos).
I export the document to PDF for printing the labels, because the production crew that prints the labels on demand doesn't have access to InDesign (nor do I wish to teach them to use InDesign). So I'm actually printing from the PDF, but nevertheless all the content therefore has to be shifted in InDesign.
When printing, the printer always prints off by @ 1/16" in one or more dimensions. (Changes with the weather, too; or maybe with wear on the printer.) This printer does not have functionality in its driver to shift the page images.
(Getting a different printer is not an answer. We have to have certain printers because they set the ink hot enough to make it stick to the labels, but are still affordable enough. Besides, every printer ends up having its quirks - even our larger printer that is the exact same as those used by Kinkos for more routine color printing.)
Given the quirks printers always have, I'd be sorely surprised if InDesign doesn't offer some functionality to easily allow shifting of all content before printing, exporting to PDF, or other purposes; but I can't find any sign of such a feature. This would be a useful feature, Adobe folks (hint, hint ).
My prior solution for smaller label sets I've created in InDesign, is to create a new layer, copy all content, including those on master pages, and then shift that content, thereby maintaining an exact, true layout for future needs, too. I really don't want to do this for 70 labels, though; plus it'd be nice to not have the worry of potentially creating out-of-sync content between the different layers.
I see Liquid Layouts, but I don't think that'll accomplish what I need any better. I need the page to stay the same size with the content in a slightly different place on it, not to change sizes. Can Liquid Layouts be made to work anyway? It could at least keep the content synced.

I tried to dig up some links for you re: InDesign's excellent support for automation in Javascript, but it seems like recent changes to Adobe help resources have caused link breakage, e.g. what should have been a link to the CS5 Scripting Guide was actually a page about how cool InDesign CS6 is going to be. In Turkish. You don't read Turkish, do you?

Reset all Firefox printer settings

The color of my screen is wrong. All the blues are bronze and pictures look they are in negative form.

I was wondering if anyone can help me. Like I said I got on the computer yesterday and the color is all wrong. Darks are light and lights are dark. Pictures of people for example seem to be in a negative form like the old cameras before the film was developed.

there are two solutions to this: the first (longer one) is if you open up System Preferences, go to Universal Access, and turn display from 'White on Black' to 'Black on White'.
the easy way to do it is just press control + option + command (the three buttons to the left of the spacebar) and the number 8 all at the same time.

All page breaks are converted into section breaks

In my template in ms word 2007 I have page breaks and section breaks. When I generate the output what I see is that all the page breaks are automatically converted into section breaks. Is this a bug ? Or is there a way to solve it.?

Are your page breaks created by inserting multiple returns? If so, then the script will certainly remove them. You can "fix" this by deleting the relevant line from the text file. In general, however, it's better to control page breaks by other means.

Placing Images on Content Areas in Text

Hello;
I'd like to customize the position of an image on my content area.
Adding text- and image-items is no problem, but I can't customize the position of the image so that it is diplayed e.g. on the right-hand side of the text.
Adding a text-item and specifying an image at secondary item attributes is also no problem, but when choosing the display option "Item Displayed Directly In Folder Area", the text is displayed but NOT the image...
Any suggestions?

Content Areas - Viewing Text Items error

with no other dialogue or entries in the logs.

All page content missing

I designed a page yesterday in CS3 and saved it. When I opened it today, the page was completely blank.
In the layers palette, it shows that I created six layers. And in the pages/links tab, it shows my link to the one photo I used. That makes me think the page content is still there, but for some reason is "hidden." I'm fairly new to Indesign, but I've created and saved pages before with no problem ... until now.
Any ideas?

Have you enabled (checked) Show Thumbnails in the Pages panel's fly-out menu? Are you using icons larger than Small? Perhaps these settings are causing your master and document page layouts to appear blank in the Pages panel.
Here's a screen shot of the confusing user interface of the InDesign CS4 Pages panel fly-out menu:
* The Pages icons are set to Extra Large. Show Thumbnails is enabled (checked) and is selectable (dark type.)
* The Masters icons are set to Extra Small. Show Thumbnails is enabled (checked) but it is dimmed (light-gray type), and in the Icons area, a message notes that small and extra small page icons can't display page content.

I installed icloud this morning. This evening, when I went to use Pages, I discovered that all of my documents are missing. How do I recover them from before I converted to iCloud? Or can I?

hmm, I knew I was missing something fairly obvious. I went into AppStore and the apps were there with an "accept" option rather than a price. I've started the download.
I've no idea if this means I'll be charged or not. I never got a screen with a price on it so hopefully not.
