"All Photographs" collection empty in 2.6

I recently installed Lightroom 2.6. In my folders menu on the left of the screen, I can see all my folders, and when I select one, thumbnails of the pictures in it appear as they should. However, if I select "all photographs" I get a "no photographs in selected item" message. Can someone tell me how to restore the "all photographs" folder?

In Grid mode, select View/Show Filter Bar from the menu. Turn off your filters. Clicking "None" ought to do it.

'All Photographs' contains more photos than in folders

All photographs collection contains more photos than in folders - (Using LR 4) There are about 6k more photos that are in my catalog (All Photographs) than what is showing up in my folders below. All of my photos are located on an external hard drive. I have them organized by year. So for example, if in LR I click on 'All Photographs' in the library module, I can see hundreds of photos from 2009. I can also see all these photos on my external hard drive under the 2009 folder. However , these photos do not show up under the folders in LR. I've tried 'synchronizing' my folder in LR, but it thinks all of the photos are duplicates, since they are indeed already in the catalog (just not the folder)

To tell you the truth, this kind of thing is nearly impossible to diagnose across the internet, so I have only a few pieces of advice on how to fix this.
If an entire folder has been copied to the internal drive, and that's where you did the editing, but you'd like to use the copies on the external drive, then right-click on the Folder name and select Update Folder Location and point to the corresponding folder on the external drive.
The other piece of advice I have is kind of trivial ... don't create more duplicates! don't put photos on your internal drive! If you yourself are more organized, then Lightroom will reflect that!

Collection Panel go back to "All Photographs" when you delete a collection

I found the following behavior pretty annoying:
- Open Lightroom and a big collection. Make sure the collection panel is opened.
- Now, go down into the collection and select a collection you do not want.
- Delete it.
Lightroom choose "All photographs" (on the top!). It means I have to scroll back each time back. I would rather lightroom choose the neighbours or parent collections

This is an easy fix. Unfortunately I had the same issue at first. Why can I still see my deleted texts/e-mails in Spotlight Search when I hit the home key? Well, I hope this will solve all of your issues. It sure solved mine. I have a basic iPhone 4 running iOS 6.1.3 ..
Here goes:
1.) Go to Settings
2.) Go to "General"
3.) Go to "Spotlight Search"
You will notice that everything has a check mark next to it. Simply click on "Mail" and "Messages" and this will eliminate all of your old deleted texts/e-mails from Spotlight Search. You can also choose to get rid of Contacts, Applications, Music, Podcasts, Videos, Audiobooks, Notes, Events, Voice Memos and Reminders.
You're ALL set! Now text away and don't worry about your significant other being able to see all those old dirty deleted texts and e-mails. . Take it EZ

Flags don't show up in 'All Photographs' when flagged in a collection

Anyone know how to solve this? I have a catalog of an event which spanned over a few days, and so I made a few collections. I made collection sets for Day 1, Day 2, etc, and in those collection sets I have two folders - General and People.
When I enter say, the General collection for Day 3 and I flag a photo in there as 'rejected', the photo when viewed in 'All photographs' does not show the Rejected flag.
Is this a bug, or what is it? Appreciate help from the members here. Thanks in advance!

Mail is backed up automatically. If you make backups automatically, open Mail application and then, open the Time Machine app (in /Applications/Utilities). You will access to the Time Machine interface, and you will be able to see all your mails of all the backups you have, and you will be able to restore them. Login to iCloud.com, hit the "Reset Photo Stream" button. This will delete all photos stored in iCloud, but not any photos pushed to any devices. Then, on your phone, Settings>iCloud>Photo Stream>Off. This will delete all photos in your Photo Stream album, on your phone. This will leave them on your Mac as long as you don't turn Photo Stream off on your Mac. If you first import them to your iPhoto library, you can then turn Photo Stream off on your Mac & they will remain in your iPhoto library.

Granting users Site admin to All site collections and/or Adding an o365 group by email to site admin group on all Site collections

We will have 1000s of site collections.
Why doesn't SharePoint Online 2013 offer a way to grant a user or a group Site admin rights to all site collections?
And.. if we must add the user to every single site, can this be done by an o365 or ADFS group using it's email?
We'd like to run this script to add a group to site collection admin on all sites, but Groups can't be referenced by an email?
Get-SPOSite|foreach{Set-SPOUser -Site $_.Url -LoginName [email protected] -IsSiteCollectionAdmin $True}
produces an error. And if we try to add the group by email manually through the UI it can't find it either. We've tried this with o365 groups and ADFS groups.
Any way to reference these groups from PowerShell?
Is this limitation there for a reason?

Scroll Bar not functioning in Grid View with All Photographs selected

LR 4.3 on Windows 7
I can scroll through a bunch of photos while in grid view with the right side slider when I am looking at a folder with 15,000 images or less, but when I click the All Photographs, there is no little slider button. The slider tray is visible, but no button to drag. The catalog has 180,000 images now. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I tried using a text search within my All Photographs which brought up 71,000 images. The slider showed up fine with that many images.

Okay, I will answer my own question in case anyone else sees the problem.
When I am viewing my large catalog with only three thumbnails across in LR, I lose the little button to slide up and down. When I change Grid View to show four or more thumbnails, the button reappears. I'd suggest this is a bug needing fixing.

OK, restart in Safe Mode, this will clear some caches. It's possible one or more is corrupt. To restart in Safe Mode when you hear the start up tone hold down the Shift Key until you see a progress bar. Let it fully boot then restart normally and test.
Also I am assuming you have checked Finder - Preferences - General and see what boxes are checked in "Show these items on desktop." You can also mount an item in Disk Utility, simply highlight it and then look in the File menu for Mount.....

Access denied for all (most?) users in all site collections of web app

Hi,
I have a Sharepoint 2010 farm pre-SP1 (yes should be updated!) and for all site collections of a web app, all users are getting access denied.
Now in my title I said "most?" because I have found one user in another office who does not have this issue. This web app/site collections also do not go through f5 or any proxies.
Even if I add myself as a site collection admin via central admin, I get the same result. I've looked at everything, windows time on the server (not using kerberos), errors in event log (nothing), uls logs just say access denied (very helpful!), etc...

Please try logging in the site with farm account.
If it works, please make sure you have superuser and superreader accounts in CA > Application management > web application policy. If not, please add both accounts with the powershell script in the article below, this can cause all users denied when

Photos won't display in Parent folders or All Photographs

After upgrading to LR4 from LR3 when I go to the library and click on "All photographs" none of my 86000 photos show up.
The same thing happens in folders module....for example:
1. My photos are in folders titled 20120306
20120201
2. Those folders are siored in a single "parent" folder called 2012
3. All the "parent" year folders are in a folder called MAIN
When I click on main it does not display any photos but it tells me how many photos are in the folder
When I click on 2012 it does not display any photos but it tells me how many photos are in the folder
When I click on 20120306 it then dislays the photos.
I am not sure why clicking on 2012 it would not show me ALL of the photos taken in 2012, that is what LR3 did......
PLEASE help as I am very puzzled by this!

I'm running 3.3ghz i7 2700k, 16gb of ram. 8900 images on internal HDD, ~37k images on external drive. By attempting to export first, I'm hoping to bypass the preview issue as it should use the previews that are there already, there is no option to render previews on import from catalog that I am aware of. My export of the 8900 images just went to 85% and crashed lightroom. I have shut down machine, rebooted, optimized the catalog and attempting export again.
Edit: So, I had to reduce my export to ~5100 images to get it to complete. When it finished, it presented an error window indicating it could not find/did not have previews for all the images. Seems kind of odd to me as I can see them all. I'm exporting another image file of ~3k images next. Then I will try and import them.
It's gonna be real ugly if I have to regenerate 45k previews again.
Edit again: Ok, this is not going to work. The Export Catalog actually copies everything from the current drive to the backup location, the catalog and the images etc. Upon import, the files are not imported from their locations, but rather the images just backed up in the export are what is imported.
I'm going to move all my images to one primary drive. Try regenerating all previews and see if I can import from the LR3 catalog again and get it to complete. What a nightmare this is.

just a follow up on Torstens reply. You will see the discovery records show up in the console without having the client installed. That will be corrected when clients perform a hardware inventory re-sync. It all happens automatically, no panic and don't
reinstall the clients.

OK if you add this one to you user scripts folder… It should give you a NEW custom option at the end of the tools menu… Click n run there…

LR4 "All Photographs" does not show any images.

This week I upgraded from LR3 to LR4 on my Mac. Unfortunately, since doing so, "All Photographs" has stopped showing any images even though it indicates that there are 26,000 images in the library. Also, even though I have activated "Show photos in subfolders" that does not seem to work either. What is the problem please?
