All photos gone from nokia 2700

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but,...............
I had loads of lovely photos on my camera, and also stuff on my video.  Just gone in and it says 'empty' on both camera and video.  I know that I have been messing around with buttons cos it is new, but surely I could not just suddenly cause all my photos and videos to just disappear from my phone?  Please help.

DOH! Found them on memory card................

  • All photos disappeared from iphoto

I went to bed last night leaving my iphoto to upload 300 pictures to a mobile me gallery, when i can to my machine this morning all photos gone,
i have run my library from my time capsule, i have tried to open from my TC and nothing, any ideas what has happened ?

What connection do you have to the TC? Wired or Wireless?
As to recovery: My guess is that your Library db is damaged:
Try these in order - from best option on down...
    1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
    2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

  • My iPad 3 makes all photos transferred from my PC look like they have a yellowish colour cast.

All photos transferred from PC have washed out, yellowish look to them. Same photographs appear fine on PC monitor and strangely, look fine when viewed through Flickr on iPad, not through Photos. All other colours look great on device. Same photos look fine too on my old first gen iPad. Any ideas?

  • Help! All pictures gone from iPhoto!

I opened iPhoto today and it said zero pictures... none, all gone! I did some hunting around, after catching my breath, and found a bunch of the numbered folders with pictures in them through the my "pictures" in the finder... but iPhoto will not show any. They were all there yesterday when I shutdown and first thing today... gone from the liblary, along with all my folders that they were orginized into! All I can do is open then one at a time now and that's no fun. Any ideas as to what is up????
    PowerMac G5   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

    Hi artboy,
You can try launching iPhoto with the Option key held down and choose to open another library. Navigate to your library, highlight it and click "open" Hopefully it will open your library.
When you launch iPhoto holding down the Option key this is the window you will get.
Create a new library or choose a library to open
Choose to create a new library if that is what you want to do, or choose a library to open by clicking the "choose" button.
If you click the "create library" iPhoto will open with a brand new library for you to import images to. If you click "choose" then you will get this window.
    Open library
Navigate to where the library is on your computer, highlight it, then clcik the "open" button.
If it doesn't open or still shows no photos you might have to create a new library and import the photos from the old.
    Close iPhoto
Rename your messed up iPhoto Library to "iPhoto Library_old"
Drag this library to your desktop
Hold down the Option key and launch iPhoto
This is the window you will get
Create a new library or choose a library to open
Choose to create a new library
Once this new empty library is open it is time to import the images from your old library
    Go to File>add to library
Navigate to the old library on your desktop and highlight it in the window, then click the "open" button.
iPhoto will start importing the images from your old library
    This is what to expect:
Your images will be imported in nice dated rolls. (make sure your view is set to sort by rolls to see it) There are a couple of caveats to this. You will get rolls named "Originals" These rolls will contain your video clips and your original images that you had edited. If you had RAW files they would be in those rolls too (I don't do RAW, so I don't know for sure) Delete what you don't want from those rolls. You will also get the jpeg pointer files to your video clips imported. They will just be jpegs and will not point to the video clips anymore as iPhoto made new ones when the clips were imported again. You can delete those. they should be in a roll right next to the newly imported video clips so they are not hard to find. The thumbnail files don't get imported as iPhoto makes new ones when the images are imported.
Once all you images have been imported, check through the library and make sure everything looks ok.
You can now start making your Albums, and do your keywords or any other organizational steps.
You can also delete the old library on the desktop.
It is also a good time to backup this new library to CD/DVD by burning the iPhoto LIbrary folder in the Finder, or copying the iPhoto Library folder to an external drive formatted for Macs, or copying the iPhoto LIbrary folder to an iPod.
    Good luck!
If you have a recent backup of the entire iPhoto Library folder then drag the old iPhoto Library folder to the desktop and rename it iPhoto Library_old. Drag the backup iPhoto Library folder (make sure it is named iPhoto Library)
into the Pictures folder and launch iPhoto.

  • All photos gone with upgrade to iPhoto 9.6 ???

    Hi!
I updated my Mac to OS X 10.10. Since opening iPhoto required an update to iPhoto 9.6, I made this upgrade as well.
When starting the new iPhoto, I accepted to upgrade the library to the new format. There a mistake was found and a repair was necessary. When the repair was done, all photos were gone. Still the library file had a size of 500 GB, what gave me comfort to see, that the photos must still be there.
Then I opened iPhoto in the repair mode and prompted the repair myself. After a little while it asked whether all found 212,000 photos shall be imported into iPhoto and I accepted. Then it stopped saying that the disk space will not be sufficient and I cancelled the process.
Now looking at the iPhoto library, its size is only 2.69 GB and there are no photos in the masters folder.
There is a new folder "iPhoto Recovered Photos" which includes 121,000 photos (243 GB) - without folder hierarchy, all in this one folder.
It has to be noted, that iPhoto regularly complained about inconsistencies before, which have been repaired.
Unfortunately, we made no backup of our photos ...
Current storage: 466GB free out of 999 GB, 128 GB photos
What can I do to get my photos back?

    1. Make a back up. Make a back up. Make a back up.
Using a computer without a back up is like driving without a seatbelt. You can drive for years with no problem, but the day you do  have a problem the mess will be a lot bigger. Upgrading anything OS, Apps, whatever without first making a back up is drunk driving with a blindfold on and no seatbelt.
    2. I'm not sure what you've got right now. Is the 500 GB library still intact? If not, then really you're next job is to start over from scratch. Make a new Library and start importing all those photos again.
    3. If you do still have that 500 gb library intact, then try Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    4.
It has to be noted, that iPhoto regularly complained about inconsistencies before, which have been repaired.
If that happens once then it's not a problem, but when you get a message like that "regularly" then there is an underlying damage that's not being fixed.

  • Photos gone from finder

I just installed the mac update today for snow leopard on my 2011 macbook pro. Now all of the sudden "Photos" is gone from places in finder. Before this update I was able to navigate to pictures I imported from memory cards now the only way to get to these pictures are to go to pictures >iphoto library > right click then show package contents> then random numbered folders - nothing is organized.
If I go to upload pictures to facebook, twitter or photoshop I can find all of my folders under media - but this location does not exist in finder.
Everything was working fine before this update.
Is this happening to anyone else? anyway to display albums in finder? I have a feeling I am missing something right in front of my face.

Accessing your files this way is not supported and a pretty good way to trash your Library.
If I go to upload pictures to facebook, twitter or photoshop I can find all of my folders under media
And thats exactly how you do it.
No there is no way to "display albums in the Finder". They don't exist in the FInder. Iphoto is a database nd it tracks the decisons you make in the database. So, for instance, an Album is really an instruction recorded on the database to "Display this group of pics together in this arrangement"

  • All photos gone!!!!

Yesterday I was downloading off an SD card when iphoto decided to wipe everything, all photos are gone. Running iphoto 7.1.5 on OS 10.6.8 on older black macbook. I tried to restore using the time capsule but it says the disk is full. How do I fix?

Well if you have 100k photos that'll be a lot larger than 24 gigs.
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)

  • All photos lost from Event browser and unable import photos

I did something, perhaps while solving a non-responding problem, which caused all photos to disappear from Event Browser, but not from Timeline. When I try to import photos I get "formatting files for import" but nothing is imported.
    Thanks for any suggestions.
    Les ([email protected])

Thanks Russ. When I read the answer to a different question, I realized, although the photos were no longer visible in the Event Browser, FCPX saw them as duplicates and wouldn't import. I opened a supplementary Event and was able to import them there.
    Les
Yes, I did intend to include my email address. Is that a problem?

  • ITunes won't sync all photos across from iPhoto to my iPad, either when using 'all photos' or manually selecting the events. All the rest sync normally

Can anyone suggest a workround or reason why I can't sync a batch of about 300 photos in 5 events on consecutive days across from iPhoto 09 to my iPad 2? All the rest (>1000 frames mainly before and some after) go over, including some shot on the same digital camera (before and after). I've tried using 'all photos' and also manually selecting the events individually, they won't go. An album containing some of these photos goes across without them included, and converting the whole album on iPhoto to a movie and then dropping that into my videos won't go either. I've cleared the sync history as advised by the support line, and all software is updated. Loads of room on the iPad

Started having the same issue with my iPad 2 just this week. Tried deleting the iPod Photo Cache, disabling then re-enabling photo sync through iTunes, but keep getting the error: "Some of your photos, including the photo “XXX.jpg”, were not copied to the iPad “XXX” because they cannot be displayed on your iPad." This is with iOS 4.3.5, iTunes 10.4, and Mac OS 10.7 Lion.
Interestingly enough, I have no issues syncing the same exact set of photos to my iPhone 4 (also running 4.3.5). This seems to be an iPad-only issue.

  • IPhoto has dissappeared off my laptop. Says it is installed, but cant find it. All photos gone

iPhoto has dissappeared off my laptop. Says it is installed, but cant find it. All photos gone

Do a Spotlight for "iPhoto.app" and see what yo get. If that fails download and run Find Any File to search for a file with "iPhoto.app" in the file name.
FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders, system folders and packages. If the application is hiding somewhere on your hard drive FAF will find it.

  • All photos gone after setting up iCloud?? Please help!!!

Hi, I've had my iPhone for about a month decided and decided to finally set up my ICloud. It said I needed to verify my email address, which I did. As soon as my iCloud account was set up, I noticed that all of my photos were gone. Somebody please help!! Why did it do this and is there any way I can get my photos back???

iCloud doesn't "delete" photos. You have lost them some other way. Most people sync to different computer and loose them or sync with computer that that has none saved. Camera roll remains no matter what computer you sync. Restoring may have erased them. If they were from photo stream sign into icloud at settings>icloud> and turn on photostream.

  • Update thumbnails - all photos gone, please help

I was prompted to update my thumbnails in my iPhoto library. I chose yes and now all my photos are gone.
I tried already the alt key and I am being asked to create a new library or to choose an existing one. If I choose again the existing one it opens empty. I tried as well the iPhotolibrary Manager but it recovers only my photos, no events, dates and the library is then a bit messy.
Anyone experiencing the same problem? I am using iPhoto '08 7.1.5.

This won't help you know but in the future if you have similar issues the tip at the end of my signature below can help you quickly recover.
*HOWEVER, I think I've found a way you can get that Library6.iPhoto file out of TM:*
1 - while *in the Finder* open the Backups.backupdb folder on your Time Machine drive.
2 - drill down to the Pictures folder in your user account for the date just before the problem occurred.
3 - Control+click on the iPhoto library package and select Show Package contents from the drop down menu.
4 - locate and drag the Library6.iPhoto file to your desktop.
5 - replace the damaged file with the one from TM.
I think that will do it.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.

  • Lightroom Crashed and ALL photos GONE!

Lightroom 4 crashed when I was importing photos from an external drive - I do not remember the error message.  When I restrted the program a message said the catalogue could not be found and I had the option to select the Default Catalogue.  I did so and now all of my photos are gone and when I use Finder (Mac OS 10.8.5) to access Photos/Lightroom, the file is empty.
How can I recover my photos?

Have a read of the info from the link below. It may help.
