[All Platforms][Search] Samsung-Smart TV Application - Keyboard/Mouse funktion

The Smart TV app on the Samsung TV is not user friendly!Word entries must be entered via the arrow keys and the Enter key to search a song or a interpret.The mouse does not work too in the app. It would be nice if the external keyboard (for example Logitech Wireless Combo MK520) in the Smart TV app would work. It is not helpful and not user-friendly that the integrated Spotify keyboard must be used for searching songs or navigate in the app.T he search involves a lot of time because only the cursor keys work.It should be changed so that you can simply do it by keyboard typing or by the mouse. I use spotify for a month or two and i have an idea for you.I think you should add new search ability to mobile applications. It should be able to search music with sound. [All Platforms][Search] Search songs or artists by the language or the country

Hi, It would be great to be able to search/discover new stuffs by the language and country in the search engine .Like bands from Sweden, songs sung in Spanish / French ... It's not because we don't speak the language or understand the lyrics we can't enjoy the beat or the melody. Add the country flag of the artists next to their names etc.. I think it's important to know where the artists are from since most of them sing in English nowadays. It's not always written in their bio too. Sometimes, I discovered they were actually from my country.. I had no idea.. I think it is a good way do discover new artists, even practice a foreign language by music and lyrics. None of other streaming services do this, make the difference. Btw we are still waiting an EQ on computers.

One of the things I love about Spotify is the ability to discover new music. While Radio is good for this, I often want to search for playlists that contain the song I'm interested in to see what other similar songs users have paired with it. Currently, search seems to return just the playlists that share a title with the search words, but it would be good to scan through playlists to include "featured in" as well.

Radio feature for Samsung Smart TV App

Hello, I would like to be able to start a radio station from the Samsung Smart TV application.

I signed up for Spotify Premium for two reasons.
1. Mobile Radio Feature
2. No commercials
I have happily used the radio feature on my computer and on my phone, but have found that it's not available on my Samsung TV app. I'm sure that there are contractual and technical reasons for this, but can anyone at Spotify tell me if attempts are being made to make the radio feature available on the Samsung TV app?
I work from home and use this app often, so listening to the same play lists over and over get's tedious. I can make and playlists with my iTunes account with no commercials for free which is making it very difficult for me to justify continuing to pay for Spotify Premium.

Restore Keyboard/Mouse Preference in System Preference Panels?

Dear all,
I have deleted files related to Keyboard/Mouse Preference in System Preferences... under Apple Logo in the top menu bar.
Now it is completely gone - not even a ? mark.
I know I can restore whole system using OS Installation DVD but is there any simpler and faster way to do the same?
May I get those files from someone and put into specific places manually?

If you deleted files associated with the items the quickest fix would be the 10.4.6 Stand Alone Combo Updater.
This is a fuller install, as opposed to an incremental "delta" update so it should overwrite any files that were deleted, damaged or missing. It does not matter if you have applied it before. It has worked well for many.
Remember to Verify Disk before update and repair permissions before and after update from /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.
EDIT: I see you have a few Macs so use the COmbo updater that is for the system you're on, from the "downloads page" under "support".

Ultraslim Keyboard/Mouse - lost mouse and dongle

Hi all,
I had Lenovo Ultraslim Plus Wireless Keyboard & Mouse 0A34067 model (U.S. with Euro symbol) with mouse OB 58509, but as in the subject, I lost my mouse and dongle. Can I use another mouse model and pair them with keyboard? If yes please tell which model I should use.

I spoke with mac support and the tech had the bright idea of scraping the ends of the batteries. That was after I explained to him that the items paired with no problem, but they were not discovered after rebooting. His second idea was to reformat the hardrive, which I had previously done a week ago due to some programs I could not get rid of. I took the mouse and keyboard back. I probably would get a better answer from the manufacturers of the products. I did not feel like going through it. Thanks for your advice you are probably correct on this topic.

Okay so, I've finally downloaded/installed windows 7 through bootcamp, everything runs fine until the windows screen prompts me to restart and run the installation again, then my mouse/keyboard won't work both magic mouse/keyboard and usb connected mouse won't work so can't finish installing windows to enter control panel or delete usb drivers like previous suggestions!
Can anyone help please?

What other peripherals do you have connected to the iMac? Usually external storage devices cause the most problems.
Disconnect all external peripherals, connect a wired USB keyboard/mouse, and a USB for Windows installer and run BCA.

Use iphone 4 to web search on samsung smart tv

samsung smart tv connected by cable to router. iphone 4 connected wifi to same router. how to get tv to recognize phone, in order to use keyboard on phone to surf web and see all on tv?

I do not believe that is possible. The Samsung TV would not connect to the iPhone to use the keyboard via wifi. The iPhone is not a keyboard device. I suggest looking at the User Guide for the TV to explain what you can use for a keyboard. If it says you can use a bluetooth or wireless keyboard, that is a keyboard only, not a phone.

Can't comment on your S*****g products, but have you checked that your bluetooth keyboard and your Apple TV meet the requirements for pairing.

Problems using Spotify's onscreen keyboard with Samsung smart TV

Please help! I've been trying to login to my Spotify premium account (adding it to an existing account on the TV) on my Samsung smart TV, but every time I enter my username and then choose "done" to enter my password, the onscreen keyboard no longer works! It opens again like it should, but using the TV remote, I can't actually "touch" or "click" any of the letters/keys to enter my password, so I'm literally just stuck at that screen until I exit the app. Has anyone else dealt with this??? Extremely frustrating, as I feel I'm missing something really basic. Thanks in advance!

You need some software running on your mac such as elgato's eyeconnect.
This allows your tv to stream content from the mac.
There is currently a free 30 day trial of the software. I have it and it works fairly well although some protected content such as itunes purchased movies do not play although it has no problem streaming movies i have copied onto the mac from dvd's i own.

I have an ipod nano, and an HP laptop. I've purchased music from the itunes store, as well as down loaded most of my cd's to the library. My question is: how do I get all this music into my Samsung smart phone?

I've spent the last 6 months purchasing from the istore and downloading CD's to my library, in preparation for a 6000km cruiser trip on my motorcycle this summer. Only to find out that I cannot download from itunes to my Samsung smart phone. Does anyone know why, or does anyone know how? I called Mac tech support and they told me it cannot be done, I have to purchase an iphone. Please help, I've got 2000 songs for the trip and a bluetooth headset in my helmet. I own an ipod nano full of the same songs, but of course Mac made it so you cannot blue tooth a nano, so I have to use my phone.

iTunes and Apple's devices work as an ecosystem. iTunes is designed to sync with Apple's products, not anyone else's. You'll need your songs in a format compatable with the Samsung phone and to use the software transfer program supplied/recommended. It is essentially not an Apple/iTunes problem. You may have better luck finding the information you need on Samsung's forums.

Connecting Samsung Smart Tv to play Live TV on Mac

I have a new Un60HU8550 Samsung Smart Tv, it has the capability to broadcast live TV, or whatever is playing on the screen wirelessly within the network to samsung smartphones, windows phones and iPhones. Does anyone know if there is some work around to make this happen on my Mac. When ever I search for this all I come up with is people wanting to get their TV to see their Mac, the opposite of what I'm looking to do. Samsung's App is called Smart View, but not available for Mac. I tried running it in parallels in windows 8.1, the TV shows up in the list to connect, but never connects, only comes up with network error and then the Tv disappears from the list and have to close the program and reload and the same thing happens again. I hope I was able to describe this properly. I'm not trying to see my Mac on the TV just to clarify, I want to see my TV on my Mac. I know there must be a way to do it. I would appreciate any help, and thank you in advance.

Project MacBook Pro screen onto Samsung smart TV?

There are all kinds of connections on the back of a Samsung smart TV. Is there a way to have my MacBook Pro use the Samsung TV as the display instead of, or in addition to, the existing display on the computer?

On Mountain Lion, an AirPlay icon appears in the menu bar whenever a suitable video output device is connected, and the device will appear as a selection. If it does not appear, then there is a communication problem between the Mac and the display device that can be difficult to diagnose.
I don't question the corporate animosity you describe but I doubt it extends to preventing AirPlay mirroring from working properly. Usually it is a matter of configuring your display device to recognize the external input. Make sure you are using a compatible adapter, if that is a factor in your application.
Use System Preferences > Displays to determine if the Mac detects the presence of an external display.
