[All Platforms][Your Music] Your own spofity playlist`s on CD

Hello, i have a wonderful idea for all. When you drive with your car and you don't have an USB hub in your car you can need an CD with your playlist's in copy. So please Spotify, can you paste a function where we can burn our playlist's on a CD. Only for premium Users! Best regards from Germany - reaperfist

  • HT2905 This is all well and good if you only have a Few DUPLICATES in your Library.  But what if you have Hundreds, because every time they come out with a New Version of iTunes, you have to Re-Import all of your Songs and Playlists into your Library?

What is the easiest way to Automatically Remove Duplicates from my iTunes Library (instead of doing it one by one, which is unfeasible when there are Hundreds of duplicates from installing the newest version of iTunes, or putting it and all of your songs on a New Computer, and it loosing track of all of your File Folders and Playlists, so you have to re-import everything, hence why the Thousands of Duplicates...
I know there are programs you can BUY that will remove Duplicate Tracks from your iTunes Library, but iTunes is Free, so why should I PAY to fix something that's screwed up about it?

See my tips on duplicates. If iTunes creates duplicates when you add content then it is a failure of the workflow you are using.
Upgrading iTunes should have no adverse effect on your library, however you should maintain a backup regardless.
See also this migrate iTunes library post on moving the library to a new computer properly so that there is no need to reimport any content and no lost ratings, playlists, play counts etc.

  • [All Platforms][Your Music] Weekly Discovery Playlists

I have a couple of ideas for the Weekly Discovery Playlist. I think the idea behind the Discovery Playlist is great and receiving a bunch of new stuff regularly is fantastic. However, because there is such a lot to get through, I think it would be good if the contents of previous lists could be retained when the new list is released either in an additional playlist or by adding new content to the existing list. Another idea might be to release a new playlist every two weeks to give users the time to familiarise themselves with the content and give them time to add that content to their own playlists or Your Music?

  • [All Platforms][Your Music] Make it possible to tag and filter "My Music" with user-defined tags

It would be very nice and convenient to be able to tag and filter "My Music" (playlists, songs, albums and artists) with user-defined tags. I'm sure quite a few users would like to classify their music by genre. Myself, I would like to tag my albums, assigning them to different virtual collections.

  • [All Platforms][Your Music] Commercials

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible for music commercials to be in the genre a specific individual generally listens to. I'm totally fine with ads but it is so frustrating when these commercials put you out of a certain mood.I don't think I have a single song by these new school dj's yet nearly all the commercials are.Totally off putting :( I get that I could buy premium but I normally don't mind ads (don't even have ad block).

  • [All Platforms][Your Music] Advertise Your Bands' Upcoming Showtimes

So I think it would be really interesting if Spotify could list upcoming shows and concerts around your area for the bands you like or have in your playlists. Of course this would require geographic information from the user, and they would probably need incentive for advertising for bands, but I think it would be cool if you were listening to your favorite music and then found out that your band is playing in your town soon. I don't take the time to search my bands' showtimes individually, so this is just an issue of convenience.

  • [All Platforms][Your Music] Play saved songs without album songs

Sometimes I want to listen to albums, but sometimes I want to list to singles that perhaps I've shazam'd or come across by another method.  In this case, I don't want album songs to interfere.  I think listening to an album is a completely different experience to listening to a set of singles or songs.   Singles are generally upbeat, help me get stuff done.  Albums are generally for long-drawn out moodiness when I'm trying to relax or concentrate. 'Your music/songs' seems to be the ideal place for this, and then perhaps a new option, 'All saved tracks' if you want album songs and single songs combined.

    Updated: 2015-07-21Hi!
Just to make sure that we get your request right: you would like to have a filter in 'Your Music' to only play songs that are Singles? With "album songs" you mean songs that haven't been published as Singles?

  • [All Platforms][Your Music] Song type

Hello, I was wondering if you could add a thing where when you looked up a type of music you could see its type.(pop, rock, party, etc) This helps people that do not know what type of music they like. Thanks!

  • [All Platforms][Your Music] Song Count

I am so surprised that Spotify does not have a song count. It is a pretty basic feature. The only time there is a song count is when you are making your library available offline. I would love to see how my songs are in my Spotify library. Please add a song count!

  • [All Platforms][Your Music] option to hide "following" artists in your music

i follow a lot of artists, or at least i used to. but an artist you are following shows up in "your music" right alongside artists you have music saved from. it really tends to clutter up my library. i would like an option to hide artists you are "following" from the artists view in "your music"

  • [All Platforms][Your Music] Lock Offline Devices

Occasionally i use an old device that has been deactivated from my offline devices. Randomly i lose one of the devices that i want to keep my music sync'd on. You should be able to lock which devices you want to use offline so no old devices can affect preferences.

  • [All Platforms][Your Music] Letzter Titel im Offline-Modus anzeigen

    Hallo!
Das sollte eigentlich funktionieren auch ohne Internetverbindung.
Könntest du mal beschreiben welche Schritte du genau vornimmst und was dann passiert?
    Welches Gerät benutzt du?

  • [All Platforms][Social] Social Features in collaborative playlists

The friends I grew up with and I have just started adding songs in to a collaborative playlist.  We share a great deal in common and music was something we shared strongly. The problem is that there is no engagement on the playlist. We have spoken about the playlist a lot on whatsapp and have been talking about each others suggestions, but there is no way to discuss or engage with spotify. I would suggest that even a like button for the songs would be a good start, so a friend adds a song to a playlist I like, I would like to be able to show that without having to discuss in a different medium.  Upvotes and down votes, as well as skipped tracks would be a great way to keep on top of what people are enjoying and not.  Also comments or a small forum attached to the playlist would create a place that we could truly engage with the music and each other. It just seems a shame that when I am using the app, I have to leave it, or use a completely different device to actually discuss this with the people I am sharing with. Thanks for reading  Chris

  • Somehow, my iTunes music disappeared.  I restored it with Time Machine and have all of my music.  However, my playlists and song ratings did not restore.  Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to restore my playlists and ratings?  Thanks.

Somehow, my iTunes music vanished from iTunes.  I was able to restore my music from Time Machine, but I lost my playlists and song ratings.  Does anyone know how I can restore the playlists and ratings?  Thanks in advance for any help.

iTunes as you see it is more than just a file or two.  It is all the contents of the iTunes folder including the critical library.itl file.  That holds pretty much all the information about what you see when you start iTunes.  You need to restore the whole iTunes folder, not just media files.
