All podcasts sound slow and and a played with echos after upgrading to 3.0

Hi everybody, after I upgraded to 3.0, all my voice files (e.g. podcasts) are played slowly and with echos. I reset the device to factory settings and re-synched (this took almost two hours), and the effect is still there. The sound files are OK if I play them from itunes. Did anybody else meet this phenomenon? Can I downgrade to solve it? Any advice is welcome.
Regards
M.

Sounds like you have the additional podcast control set to play at 1/2 speed. Tap the now playing screen to bring up the controls and tap the playback speed control under the right end of the scrubber bar until it turns white and reads 1X.

What model laptop is this? Does the issue occur when you use headphones? If you could give me some more details I will be able to give you some more suggestions to resolve the issue.

Bookmarks and reading lists don't work after upgrading to ios6 on ipad

Your bookmarks file may be corrupt. Navigate to /[UserName]/AppData/Local/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/[profile_name]. Either rename places.sqlite to places.sqlite.corrupt (or whatever) in case this isn't the problem, or delete places.sqlite. Start/Restart Firefox. The icons for sites that have a favicon should return after you visit each site.

iTunes purchased video no longer plays on 3GS after upgrade to os 4. Specifically, curious George episodes used to make my 2 year old go off to his quiet place no longer play on my iPhone. Anyone else having this issue or know of a solution? The content was purchased on iTunes and played fine on previous os.

  • Bugs and poor performance in iphone 4 after upgrading to iOS 7*

    Dear Apple,
After upgrading my iPhone 4 to iOS 7, I'm experiencing lots of issues.
The performance is the poorest that I've ever seen since I adopted iPhone.
Constantly, I need to do the same action (to touch the screen) 3 times until getting any response from the device.
The new effects adopted in the new iOS 7 have lowered the user's interaction and decreased the usability.
Multitask in iPhone 4 with iOS 7 is not smooth and glitches happens all the time. E.g., when you are talking via skype, receives an phone call and needs to search for a contact in your contact list to say to whom is calling you.
How to survive using iPhone 4, with all these problems happening?
It's bothering us, because we love apple devices! it's a shot in the chest!

  • All podcasts disappear from iPhone whenever I sync with iTunes

I have a very annoying issue whenever I sync my iPhone with iTunes.
I download all podcasts on the iPhone directly, never in iTunes. But I still want to sync music etc. with iTunes.
I have not checked the checkbox for sync of Podcasts in the Podcasts tab, but everytime I sync the iPhone, all podcasts on the iPhone are removed. Why is this? This is not very consistent with how the rest of sync works, I have also left sync for Applications unchecked, and this does not result in all apps disappearing from the iPhone.
    Has anyone else experience this?
Btw, I am using iTunes on WinXP, at work...

    Hi,
Try resetting your Sync Services. See here to reset your sync services.
Let us know how it goes.
    Best wishes

  • Podcasts play with echo on iPhone 3gs

When I play podcasts from my iphone 3gs, they have an echo. The echo is ONLY with the podcasts - the music and videos play just fine. When I listen to the podcasts in Itunes on my MacBook, they are fine, no echo.
Any suggestions to remove the echo? Thank you.

I had the same problem. My speed was set at 0.5. Change it to 1X. This is directly below and on the far right of the scroll bar that shows how much of the podcast you have listened to. Somehow I must have touched it while it was in my pocket. I needed to press the button on the top right before I put it in my pocket to shut down the screen so that nothing could be changed.
The folks at the Apple Store told me the 0.5 setting is useful when the reader of an audiobook is reading too fast.

  • [SOLVED] startx and xinit fail on eeepc901 (possibly after upgrade)

    Dear all,
    Can't get X to start.
After a system upgrade (was a messy one, I'm pretty sure this is not a bug) I must have deleted some very important file for X. The fact is that it has stopped working, startx fails, xinit fail, even Xorg -configure fails. Please also note that I've changed the kernel (from zeneee to stock) but I had the same behavior with the previous kernel.
    Possibly interesting outputs:
    $xinit
    giving up.
xinit: No such file or directory (errno 2): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.
    $startx
xauth: creating new authority file /home/mgp/.serverauth.4397
    giving up.
xinit: No such file or directory (errno 2): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.
It does create the authority file. Fails after that.
    #Xorg -configure
    Segmentation fault
My xorg.conf file is as follows (although I have tried without one and have the same errors, so probably not related):

I've searched over for a solution but can't really find anything relevant. I've tried installing xorg a few times. Also hal and all that stuff but I don't trust myself too much on that. I don't know how to proceed any further and would appreciate any help possible or any ideas you think I could try. I'm pretty sure it's something quite stupid. Thanks for your time and consideration.
    Best regards,
    Michael

I fixed it. By looking closely at the strace I figured that for some reason X couldn't access my /tmp. I remember setting my /tmp directories in fstab to mount on tmpfs so I figured that wasn't working anymore. I removed my tmp entries in fstab (will have to refigure that one out). Something changed with the devices. Maybe I wasn't using udev before or something as it also has problems mounting devices it previously mounted on boot. However all this happened before I changed kernel. Dunno, anyway, it works although I have to fix a bunch of small things that still don't work. Lesson would be update often (hadn't done so in a year) and keep in touch with what is going on in the community (eee instructions have changed a lot -and become slightly more confusing-). Anyway, thanks for your help, specially Rasi.
    Best regards,
    Michael

  • IPhone will not synch contacts and calendar with Outlook after upgrade to 4

I have been using an ACT! database on a PC for years, synching to Outlook with CompanionLink, and synching my iPhone to Outlook. After upgrading my iPhone to 4.0, I can no longer synch my contacts and calendar from Outlook. It "goes through the motions," appearing to be synching. But in the end, nothing changes. I have reloaded iTunes. The problem is between Outlook and the phone (the synch from ACT! to Outlook is fine).

I'm having the same issue. Upgraded my 3G to OS4 which wiped out my contacts from the phone. I also use CompanionLink (Express) to sync ATC with Outlook and iTunes and the phone. Have spent hours/days on the phone with second level Apple tech support to no avail. CompanionLink IS syncing with Outlook but Outlook isn't syncing with the phone. Have tried syncing to Outlook directly (without CompanionLink) but no good result. Tried syncing through MobilMe. Can sync all Outlook contacts from my computer to me.com through MobileMe but does not sync with the phone. Tech support suggested trying to sync fewer contacts at a time as their might be a problem with the contacts file. DID manage to get 4000 of my 5600 contacts back in but can't get any more in. Previously had NO problem syncin all contacts directly and through CompanionLink. VERY frustrating.
Also, I use Outlook Express for email. Since installing MobileMe I get an error message saying that Outlook isn't my default mail handler and I need to change the settings to make it the default mail handler. I DO NOT have "sync mail" checked as I'm not trying to sync my email accounts...only contacts and calendars. Made Outlook the default mail handler which stops the error message but still can't sync the contacts and I want to keep Outlook Express for email.

  • Login action buttons no longer work and some pages not displaying correctly after upgrade.

After recent update, some web pages not displaying correctly and Login buttons on some sites do not work. I've updated my plugins and restarted computer, but problems remains. Is this Java, Javascript or something else? Same pages are working fine in IE.

Please update the firefox to the latest version of firefox 26
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
    <b> To Enable SafeMode </b>
*You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox"; Linux: "Firefox/File > Quit")

It means that those fraud website urls are updated so that it can warn you if you try to visit those website.
Try restore from backup using iTunes.
If no joy, restore as new without the backup.

  • IPad and iPhone "not enough available space" after upgrade to Aperture 3.1

    Hello
I was syncing lots of images no problem through iTunes/Aperture to my iPhone and iPad. After upgrading Aperture to 3.1 both devices report "not enough space" during the sync and have substantially fewer albums and photos on them than before. What the **** has happened? Now the pictures seem to take up much more space.
    Anyone else finding this?
    Thanks
    Nico

I get to this step in step 5 but I dont have the file/directory
Double-click the "usbaapl" file. (This file will be called "usbaapl64" if you have a 64-bit version of Windows. If you don't see "usbaapl64" here, or if there is no Drivers folder, look in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers. instead).
Where can I download the needed file? I think it is called usbaapl64

  • JMenuItem and JTextField doesn't look right after upgrading to Java 8

I just upgraded to JDK 8u25

The site looks OK -- actually quite impressive for what appears to be a from-scratch design.
In Opera 10 under Snow Leopard 10.6.1, the design doesn't start to explode until the horizontally scrolling marquee comes across. I would strongly recommend just removing that marquee; it is an extremely outdated element of web design. If you do that, the design shouldn't blow up on you in other browsers.
