All posts turned blue in the Iweb's podcast page
Suddenly, all podcast posts in my iWeb podcast and archive pages (in the actual iWeb program, not on the version already uploaded and online) have turned blue: I can only read the headline in a sort of electric blue, while the content has disappeared. All posts are still there, so if I go to each individual entry it's there and readable, but both the podcast and archive seem corrupted.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this.

New MacBook turning blue around the edges
Hello all, I just purchased a new unibody MacBook in January this year. After a month or two I noticed that the casing was turning blue around the edges where the bottom of my right hand rested, and some of the keys were discolored as well. I went to my local Apple store and after receiving a hard time from the person I talked to, they eventually replaced the case and I thought the problem was solved. Now, just a month after they replaced the case, it's turning blue all over again, and this time it's even worse. I do absolutely nothing to it to make it change colors, I am very careful with my things, especially this computer. I do not keep it in any case, I hardly every travel with it, I use it in my room most of the time, away from anything that could potentially harm it. My hands are always clean when using this and I simply do not know why this is happening.
I'm afraid of taking it back to the store again and waiting another week before I can use my computer since I'm taking classes now and I need my computer. The discoloration is upsetting and I have no idea what to do. Is there ANYONE else out there that is having this problem or is it just me? Is there anything I can do to clean off this ugly discoloration or am I stuck with a thousand dollar ugly machine that used to be pretty?Use your charm if Apple Store can replace it with a new one. Its difficult to wait but I did. Tell them you can't be going back and forth because the problem annoys you a lot. If you bought it with an American Express card you might be able to recover anything if Apple will not completely replace your system. I don't know the coverage of Apple Care but there's no harm from being nice to them. You might get what you want.
My new Mac had a defective optical drive the day I opened its box. I had to wait a few days for a new replacement. Worse, the "Genius" guy came back with my Mac with noticeable abrasions on the front and some residual adhesives stuck on the sides, none of which were present prior as I am very meticulous. They must have had it laid over without adequate cushion or velvet top.
If I were you, I will not stop till I get a replacement if they can't get it right or run after your card company and tell them Apple will not replace it. But ask the Genius bar to print a job order so you can have proof to show. -
pls help me how to reboot my macbook air,.. because starting it up was not successful. the screen just turns blue after the apple logo appeared.
i know loads of people who have had this problem including me. The Java script update apparently had some virus that has overloaded the start up disk. I took to apple who said i have to have the machine rebuilt but first i have to go to a data recovery company to get back everything that was on it. Data recovery company have quoted me nearly £1000.

My iPhone 5 constanlty reboots, sometimes the screen turns blue and the unit reboots and sometimes it just shuts down. Any Suggestions?
I am having the same problem with my ipad air but mine is so severe that it's just rebooting non stop. I guess the battery will die eventually but it has rendered the device useless. I guess I will be taking it back to apple. Very disappointed. Never had an apple product in 20yrs have such a severe problem.

Just turned on my MBP 2007 and the screen gets stuck on the light blue before the normal log in page comes. Any Clues?
Worked fine last night. It's running Snow Leopard.Does your iMac fail to boot every time or only some of the time? Here are some things to try:
- Boot into "safe mode", which will run the equivalent of Disk Utility's "repair disk" operation.
- Boot from the system install disc that came with that Mac with the "D" key held down to run the diagnostics. Run them several times to see if any hardware problems are reported.
- If you can't identify the problem or fix it any other way, download and install the OS X 10.6.7 "combo" updater.
- If that still doesn't help, try reinstalling OS X 10.6 over the top of what's on the disk. -
An update of iMovie failed with the message "an error has occurred." That message remains posted by iMovie on the Mac App Purchases page. iMovie is now unavailable. It will not start, update, or reinstall from purchases page. How do I reinitialize the app?

I posted this message in the iWeb section and they suggested I try here...
I posted the following message on the iWeb bulletin board, and it was suggested that the error I am getting might be an OS issue instead of an iWeb issue.

iWeb will not publish to .Mac. After pressing publish, the program signs into .mac and then proceeds to create the web pages. Once all the pages are created circles form next to their consecutive sites. These usually fill up like a clock showing the site being uploaded. However, for the past few days nothing happens once the circles appear. Then after a few minutes iWeb crashes. Also, during this time my whole computer freezes. iTunes will stop playing until the iWeb crash is complete. This has happened every time I have tried to publish over the past few days. Just last week I was able to publish without any problems.
I think there might be a problem with .mac because I am able to publish to a folder without any problems.
I have repaired permissions over and over again...
The only thing new I added to my mac since my last time I publish something in iWeb was the trial version of File Maker's Bento.

Today, safari crashed with the same error message.
I do not think this is not a network connection problem because I tried both at home and at school with the same result. I also remember that I recently installed a security update that was released several months ago. At the time of the release it was close to finals, and I could not risk losing my laptop...

After creating a new user account, I moved the domain file over to the new account.
However, I still had the problem where iWeb would crash.
I was able to publish when I moved the previous domain file to another folder and tried with a new site a and domain file.
For me this meant that somehow my old domain file had become corrupt. I was really upset. I had kept a blog regularly for over two years and now everything was lost.
Or was it? Before all this started, after two years of using the same template for creating my blog, I changed everything over to a new theme. Previously I had put a lot of my photos up with iWeb. But, during my conversion I erased those photo pages and decided to go with the new gallery feature. This took my web site from over 400 MB down to a mere 30 MB. It was after this conversion that I started to have problems with iWeb crashing.
(Before I had made conversions to different templates on other web sites I have made using iWeb without a problem. So, I did not have a reason to think that was the cause.)
Anyway, thinking I had lost two years worth of blog entries I was desperate. So, I tried something drastic. I erased the contents of the Web folder on my idisk. And this did the trick. It seems that going from over 400 MB to 30 MB was too much for iWeb to handle at one time. Now that it is a brand new site, it up loads without a problem.
Just in time too. I needed iWeb to get another site up and going!
Before trying to upload I did not have to erase the .plist file or anything to get it to work.
I also did not reinstall iWeb or Mac OS X.

You are probably referring to the location bar history. If you click on that button, a list of websites should appear. [[Clearing Location bar history|This article]] will give you information on clearing the history.
You should also look at [[Location bar autocomplete]] for other cool things you can do with the Location Bar.

When I use javascript "window.history.back()" because a user enter invalid text, Firefox returns to the page with the form on it but it clears out the form. All the other browsers go back to the previous page with the form filled out as it was when submit was entered.
Firefox did not used to do this. I do not change browser settings from default to get this unfortunate behavior. This may mean Firefox is more secure, but only on a public computer. On a private computer, this sucks.See if this helps you.

itunes:order tag is not working in the iTune Store Podcast Page!
I used <itunes:order> tag in my podcast rss file and the items sort correctly when I subscrbe to my podcast (rss file) directly from iTune. However, after submitting and publishing the feed to iTune Store they are all out of order! Also about 30 of them are missing!! How can I get them in the right order and add the other 30 to my podcast?
It's not really possible to comment unless you would like to publish the URLs of both your feed and the Store page - this latter can be found by control-clicking on the podcast image (or where it should be) - and choosing 'Copy link'. Please include the http:// in both cases to make the links clickable.

I tried to update my iPod 4th generation while it was charging and when I came back to check on it the screen was red and it wouldnt go off, and my ipod wasnt charging like it was supposed to. I found out how to get the color of the screen off but my ipod always has the low battery thing and when I charge it sometimes the screen turns blue or the apple logo comes up bright and then it gets dim and stays there. My ipod wont turn on, and I really want it to work again. Help me please! Also, I noticed my ipod battery hasnt been lasting long as it should efore this happened.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -
it used to work fine, but now it does.. Some websites will bookmark, but most will not... Like I said in the question, when I click the STAR button it does the little animation showing bookmarking, but it does NOT turn blue, and the page I am trying to bookmark is not showing up in my unsorted bookmarks list or anywhere else.. Thanks for your help..
You can check for problems with the <b>places.sqlite</b> database file in the Firefox profile folder.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

Thumbnail turn blue after saved in PS
Hi all,
When I saved my CR2 filem to jpeg "within" Camera Raw, it will looks normal in Bridge. But it will turn blue if I open by Camera Raw then saved by Photoshop.
I have been using CS6 for a while and was perfectly normal.
If I shot in jpeg, the thumbnail will turn blue in preview. The color balance was daylight.
The sample I attached here shows the one turn blue at the left, and the normal one on the right. Do you know why? Thanks a lot.Most likely your default color settings in ACR are incorrect.

My macbook pro screen keeps turning blue?
This just started about ten minutes ago but its happened three times so I'm kind of concerned. My screen background on my Macbook Pro turned blue after I refreshed a Netflix page. None of my open windows shut down but the image I have as my background was gone and the light blue screen took its place. When I went back into my settings to put the picture back up, it showed that it was still set as my desktop screen, even though it clearly was not. I had to click on another image and then click back on the one I wanted to get it to reset. Is there any reason why this is happening? And can I fix it or do I have to take it in to the apple store and see if they can take a look at it?

When troubleshooting, disconnect all devices from your computer.
Restart in Safe Mode: Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode
Boot up from your install DVD and run "Repair Disk" from the Utility menu.
Restart
After you reach your desktop, repair permissions and again restart your computer. Directions are in the OS Help Menu if you need assistance.
You should call Apple tech support before your standard warranty runs out. Hopefully, you have AppleCare.
Hey, thanks for your suggestions but when I tried the first part which was the run in safe mode it only made parts of it, specifically safari, lag even more to the point where I could not load pages without it lagging. For the second part about the repair disk, is that the same thing as re-booting your mac or is it different thing? Thanks again for your help! -
Selected pdf in browser turns blue
We just installed Reader 9 and an issue has been reported when viewing pdfs in a browser window. When you click on a page of the pdf, it turns blue letting you know the focus is on that page. When you click on a different page, that page turns blue and the previous page is again white. Is there a setting somewhere in Reader 9 to either turn off this feature or change the color that the pdf changes to?
We had this issue with Reader 7 and were able to resolve it by going into Edit>Preference>General and uncheck the "Enable text selection for the Hand Tool". This option is no longer there. The person who reported this likes to use the hand tool and would prefer a solution that can be done to change the color or remove it.That preference is still there.
Preferences>General>Basic Tools>Make hand tool select text and images.
They just changed the verbiage a little to keep us on our toes.
