All prompts open on center monitor
I'm using a three-monitor setup, and I recently upgraded to Acrobat Pro XI from Acrobat Pro 8. By default, my documents open in the last location in which I closed them (which I want). However, when an Acrobat prompt is triggered, it always opens on the left edge of my center monitor - even if the document is on a different screen. Weirdly, this does not happen when I select an option that triggers a prompt to browse files or locations. For example, if I use the "extract page" option when a document is on the left monitor, the prompt shows up on the middle screen. If I use the "file -> open" option, the prompt appears directly on top of the document, on the left monitor.
This is making me crazy. Somebody please make it stop.
Is your front panel on monitor 1 (the one that you want the dialog to open on) or is it on monitor 2?? It seems that if you are using the default LabVIEW dialogs (in Dialog & User interface) it will open centered on your front panel.
If you create your own custom dialog box, go into the Run-Time position and under the Position drop down box select "custom" and it will automatically set it to the current position. (make sure that you have it on your first monitor already)

All dialogs open in second monitor
I recently installed a second monitor to my Toshiba laptop and I am using the extended desktop using the built-in NVIDIA video card. Because of performance problems not related to the second monitor, I had to reformat my internal hard disk.
After reinstalling LabVIEW 8.0.1 Development Suite on an external drive, I found that all the dialogs (those in LabVIEW, in my apps both compiled or run under labVIEW) opened on my second monitor. I checked the VI properties to make sure that the run-time window position was not set to the second monitor and I checked the NVIDIA video card settings to make sure that the dialogs were not set for the second monitor. I have no problem with any other applications such as Quicken.
I then uninstalled LabVIEW and reinstalled on my internal hard disk. The dialogs still open in the second monitor. Does anyone know how to fox this?Is your front panel on monitor 1 (the one that you want the dialog to open on) or is it on monitor 2?? Hi all
If I open a pdf file it opens correctly in pivot monitor. If I leave it open and try to open another pdf it opens up in wrong monitor. I tried to get around this with setting "open in tallest monitor" but it's always over ran the next time I open a document (setting reverts back to "this monitor").Hello,
Could you please install Reader 11.0.09 and check the same behavior.
The setting "open in tallest monitor" is only applicable when you the run the Full Screen Mode (Crtl + L) in Reader.

Can't open Control Center on the Lockscreen after using Siri
Hello everyone,
I have got a little bug since iOS 8 and still be there in iOS 8.1 on my iPhone 5S (32Go).
After requesting Siri something and get back to the lockscreen, i can't open the Control Center but I can still open Notification Center. After lock my phone and turn it on, I can open again the Control Center.
Is there someone else with this little bug ?

ByeNo, I do not. I even tested it as soon as I saw your post. With the phone locked, I asked Siri to do something, after tapping to close it, it went back to the lock screen, I swiped upwards and Control Center came right up. Are you swiping from off the screen slightly when you start?
If a restart and reset have not fixed it, then the next two steps in user troubleshooting are restore from backup, then restore as new. -

The error could be because
1) The URL referenced from RWB (Communictaion Channel) is incorrect.
Try accesing the link directly http://HOST:JAVAPORT/mdt/channelmonitorservlet
If you are able to open the window with out nay error, it means you url referenced from SLD is wrong. Correct your SLD and update the cache.
2) If you are not able to access above URL, it means the java service is not running to accept your request, check in visual admin if any of the services are stopped. Try restarting the same.

New Mac Mini running new Garageband. 2 monitors. Working fine, however, all of a sudden GB started to choose to open and not be able to move from secondary monitor. What may have changed and how can I rectify this. I would like GB to open on the primary. All of applications open on primary monitor.
There is some confusing information in your post. You say iMac g5 & 10.6.6. The iMac g5 cannot run 10.6.6. 10.6.6 requires an intel machine.
I'll assume iMac g5.
There have been many reports of capacitor problems with these machines. There are capacitor replacement kits if you want to experiment with a soldering iron.
You could try a new battery.
Since you are having succes running the machine, I'd say it is a hardware problem. I've read a little on the capacitor problem. Seems to fit what I have heard.

After sp1- R2 upgrade, Clients cannot open Software center

I am in a bit of a bind..
We upgraded from SP1 to R2 (not CU2 just the r2 for starters)
All went well and all clients in our organization have been upgraded.
Unfortunately I've discovered that the software center on the clients can no longer load.
It seems the ccm client is running fine it's just the software center that is not loading when I try to open it.
The error from the software center windows is(translated from Danish so I am unsure of the correct MS wording):
The Software center cannot be loaded. Problem loading the required components. You can try starting the software center later...
Only thing I've found so far that stands out in the logs so far (sccclient_MYDOMAIN@mrt_1.log) is:

Popup windows on multiple windows is opened across both monitors.
I am using Firefox 6 the latest version on Windows 7 64 bit using 2 monitors.
I was on a website that wanted me to logon via facebook. So the browser opened a popup windows.
The window that opened covered both monitors. The left edge of the window stayed on the left most monitor (correct). The top edge of the window stayed on the top of both monitors (correct). The right edge of the monitor ended alittle beyond the right most side of the right monitor; I could see the minimized but not the maximized button (incorrect). The bottom edge of the window disappeared below the bottom of both monitors (incorrect). Neither the minimized nor maximized buttons worked.Do they drag there and snap back, or do they not drag there at all?
If they don't drag there at all, check System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement to see how the system thinks the displays are related spatially. You may need to drag left or down instead of right.
Your profile says you are running Mountain Lion, but if you have upgraded to Mavericks, there's a setting that says whether displays are in one space or separate spaces. If it is set to use separate spaces, you may see a window snap to one of the other display. -
SCEP 2012 System Center Monitoring Pack for Linux v4.5.10.1 Problem

We are having a problem with OpsMgr 2012 R2 and the System Center Monitoring Pack for SCEP 2012 for Linux v4.5.10.1. We have successfully deployed the Linux OpsMgr 2012 R2 agent to our test CentOS 6.5 VM as well as SCEP 2012 v4.5.10.1. We have
imported the System Center Monitoring Pack for SCEP 2012 for Linux management packs into OpsMgr 2012 R2 which is successfully discovering SCEP on our Linux VM, but when looking at the details for the monitor, it indicates that SCEP is "not found"

JJMagnus_001 (big ups) and I were able to get discovery to stop failing on the Linux side of things, but the SCOM MP is still highly problematic. Their pdf guides for SCEP implementation on Linux has a bunch of typos and errors -- for example, listing
'/bin/sh' instead of '/bin/bash', and one of the lines (the one that includes "export LANG=C" won't run no matter what. When we disassembled the SCOM MP, we found that there's an extraneous space at the end of the command, current thought is
that that's causing a regex to fail within sudo. All of their commands, from what I can tell, need to be specified as NOPASSWD within sudo; if you see errors about ssh-askpass with that you can confirm that there are likely typos in their guide sourced
from the pdf. We eventually allowed '/bin/bash' to get the programs to run since we couldn't get a regex match to catch their command (which should be in a script). We are out of failures that we can discover with logging on the Linux side; it's
likely to be an error within the MP at this point.
When we look at the powershell script in the MP library, the "not found" error is the default state, set immediately after stdout is captured from the discovery script. I'm guessing that there's some problem interaction between that script
and the parsing thereof, as when we run the script locally as root we see the output that we'd expect. For all I know that's a line ending or locale problem.
Troubleshooting on the linux end is problematic, as instead of distributing a script to check on the linux side (which makes the sudo part of things much easier), the script is hard-coded within the MP. From what I understand it would need to be disassembled
and recompiled to change.
The snippet below may be of use to someone for use in their sudoers file, it will make the checks work on the linux side at least. I wouldn't recommend this for anything beyond testing, as specifying that an account can run a full bash shell as root
without a password is a terrible idea.

Opening Control Center Manager Shuts Down OWB Application
We are currently using OWB Release 10g Release 2 and have not had any issues for the past 1.5 years. All of the sudden beginning last week, we started experiencing issues with the software.
1. Last week, I logged into Design Center. No problems. I then went to Tools - Control Center Manager. As the Control Center window attempted to open, it shut down the entire OWB application. Interesting. I logged in as a different user and was able to get in later.
2. As of today, I don't have any issues with OWB. I'm able to get to Control Center without any problems.
3. My co-worker is experiencing the same problem that I had last week. As soon as he tries to open Control Center Manager, all of OWB shuts down including Design Center. He restarted his PC, tried to log in as a different user, etc. but nothing seems to help.
We looked under the C:\OraHome_1\owb\log directory but nothing is there. Does anyone have any clues as to what is going on or where we can check to see what is causing this problem?

Worth starting the OWB client using the batch or shell script depending on your platform (either owb/bin/win32 or owb/bin/unix/owbclient.sh) and pasting the standard output from the console window into the forum when you do this, it might have some clues.

How to open Workflow status monitor from form personalization

Apply display properties to all prompt pages

I am using obiee 11.1.1.6. I have 1 dashboard and 2 pages in the dashboard . Page 1 of the dashboard consists of 1 Dasboard prompt and 1 analysis. Page 2 consists of the Same prompt as Page 1 and different analysis based on the prompt . When I take use a prompted link of the dashboard and use the same link to the differnt IE( interent ink tab) prompt of Page 2 doesnt not work . The selection is not working for Page 2 but works for Page 1 . I have defined the scope of the Prompt to be a Dashboard level. And the icon of apply display properties to all prompt pages is gryed not and doesnt allow me to select anything. What might be the issueHi again JaredA
I'm not trying to be a PITA here, but if you edit a Text
Caption and click the Help button, you should see a topic titled:
Text Caption properties dialog box - Text Caption tab
Inside this topic, there is a line that reads:
Apply properties to all captions in the movie: Select this
option to apply the changes you made on this tab to all captions in
the movie. (List of properties that are applied, and are not
applied, to all caption items)
And note that the word "List" is a hyperlink. When clicked,
it reads:
The following properties are applied to all caption items if
this option is selected:
* Caption style
* Font type
* Font size
* Font color
* Transition
* Show caption before mouse movement
The following properties are not applied to all caption items
if this option is selected:
* Text and text properties (bold, center, and so on)
* Time
Granted, it does not explicitly say that the callout pointer
direction will not be changed, but as it is not listed among the
attributes that ARE changed, I believe that's a pretty decent hint.
Personally, I believe the issue is one of simply becoming
familiar with the way an application behaves. My guess is that it's
not all that common that someone would want to change all the
caption directions, hence the design. But it's just a guess on my
part.

This is my first go at this so be kind,
My question concerns launchpad. Coming from Snow Leopard I had been using spaces. I like to keep certain bundles of programs on separate desktops, for example all word processing related tasks in one place. I have set up the equivalent on Yosemite.
My problem is concerns the loss of exposé. Now I know when you swipe into launch pad you get a very similar effect but the issue I am having concerns the "zoom out" effect when you swipe into launchpad. With exposé all open apps/pages etc would be fully exposed - in my case several (sometimes as many as 9 word documents). What I am running into is when I do this in / into launch pad the "pile" of docs is exposed but they are still overlapping so I can't get a good look at which is which and visually identify where I want to navigate to.
My question is this; Is there a way to adjust the settings on launchpad so that when I swipe into it all the open apps/pages are fully separated (like in exposé) so that I can fully view all of them simultaneously? If so, instructions on how to do so would be greatly appreciated. Any alternative suggestions to doing this outside of launchpad are also welcome. If there is an exposé app for example, I would be quite willing to go that route.
My main concern is being able to quickly (ie a touchpad gesture) expand all the open pages so I can bounce between them.

Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.

One of my users subscirbes WSJ Online and uses the Reader to read articles. The user would like to know if he can print all the open tabs in Reader at once instead of one tab or article at a time.

Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager all wont open.
One day it was fine, the next it's not. My Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager all wont open.
No error messages, it just doesn't open. I can't get through to talk to staff (because why should you be able to right? You only pay for the service..)
Could someone please shed some light on my situation?
My Lightroom and Photoshop are running fine as normal. I wish I could provide more information but it's really that simple - none of it will open.
Thank you!At this point, I think I'd just download & run the Adobe CC Cleaner app, and use it to uninstall & clean up your PrPro & the Creative Cloud desktop app itself ... then download a fresh copy of the CC desktop app, install & sign into your account, then download & reinstall PrPro ...
