All Quiz Slides Automatically Changed (by captivate) when ANY change is made to a Quiz Slide

When I make a change to a quiz slide, captivate automatically adds the "Back" button (which was previously deleted) to *all* quiz slides and extends *all* quiz slide length by several seconds. This is very frustrating to have to go back to every quiz slide (which are interspersed thought the project) to remove the "back" button and correct the slide length. Thoughts anyone?

Did you read that blog post that I indicated in the other thread about questions?
Default pausing point is at 1.5 secs. If you leave the Success/Last attempt action to default 'Continue' users have to wait 1.5secs, never 3 secs.
If you want to reduce the time, you can drag the pausing point bit more to the right to decrement the non-active part (not totally till end). That is the best solution, especially if some users will have to work with restricted bandwidth. Or you use Go to Next Slide instead of Continue for the actions.

Now i want that when ever any changes is made that is when ever any thread is posted in the discussion room there should be automatic mail triggering should take place to all the members who are assigned acess.
please help me and suggest any idea through which i can achive it

Archiving messages is an option for Gmail accounts - I don't think that it's available for other accounts. You should be able to switch it to a trashcan icon for deletion by selecting the account in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and switching Archiving 'off' : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4207 (more on archiving here http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=6576).
In terms of blank emails, try closing the Mail completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Mail 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Hi, I've a 3GS and iPad (on 5.1.1) and Macbook (10.6.8) all connected to iCal on iCloud, but when I change an event on phone it doesnt update on iCloud/other devices - any ideas?

I've an iPhone 3GS and iPad '1' (both on IOS 5.1.1) and Macbook (on 10.6.8) - all connect happily to my iCloud iCal (using the iCal app for iPhone/iPad and Firefox browser for access to my iCloud).
But ... when I change an event (add/delete) on my iPhone it doesnt update on the iCal on my iCloud, therefore neither on iCal on my iPad!
Yet if I change anything on my iCal iPad / iCal iCloud it updates/refreshes on the iPhone fine?
So - it clearly recognises/refreshes any updates but can't update the iCloud!
Any ideas?

If you're also having problems changing the account on your iOS devices, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

My extensions preferences changes are gone when I change the theme after I reboot my pc

If I want to change the preferences of my extensions and the theme of the browser (wether it's a Persona or a custom theme) everything is all right. But if I reboot, my changes are gone. It doesn't happen if I don't change the theme.
To sum up:
I change my extensions options <--> '''DO '''change the theme --> reboot = my custom preferences '''RESET''' to last known before theme change.
I change my extensions options <--> '''DON'T''' change the theme --> reboot = my custom preferences '''REMAIN'''.
I already tried erasing the Prefs.js and personas files and nothing. I also erased the profile twice and didn't work.
Any ideas?

I think I just resolved my issue. I exited Firefox, then deleted the places.sqlite file then restarted Firefox 4. My bookmarks immediately appeared.

use the following tables parameters of this function module to determine whether the values are changed:
I_XVTTK - Shipment Headers (Current)
I_YVTTK - Shipment Headers (Old)
I_XVTTS - Shipment Stages (Current)
I_YVTTS - Shipment Stages (Old)
if any change is made to any of the fields, you can trigger the standard output type by using the function module WFMC_MESSAGE_SINGLE. you will have to pass a structure of type NAST with the required vlaues.

Be advised that this solution will also exit the form without saving the changes and asking anything if the user did make changes.
You're probably changing some field from a PL/SQL trigger (hint: post-query or when-new-record-instance are likely). If you set the value of a field from a trigger or program unit that also marks the record as changed for Forms. Forms will then ask to save the changes when exiting the form.
If you want to prevent this, reset the record status after you change the field in the PL/SQL code.

Creating a infotype 0014 automatically in the background when 0008 changes

Hello All-
We have a wagetype on Infotype 0014 and when we create a record with this wagetype then it is having a balance wagetype in IT0015 so IT0015 with balance wagetype will automatically popup when we create a record in IT0014 and this is because of the the wagetype config.
When ever IT0008 changes we want to create a new IT0014 with the wagetype in question and a new record in IT0015 also.
But when I tried this Dynamic actions I can pass parameters to IT0014 and do it in the background, but I can not control IT0015 as this is comming automatically from the wagetype config.
We are trying to write a custom code to achive this by BDC recording in PA userexit -> PBAS0001 but its not working. Is there any other way or any other user exit to do this??

I've done this type of thing with BAdi definition HRPAD00INFTY (this is a more recent BAdi so you may need to check if it exists in your system) during the IN_UPDATE method. In this BAdi, I check to see if I need to create a new IT0014 and if I do, I submit an external program which eventually calls the HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA function after a number of complicated calculations - it's quite a few steps but it does work.
In my case the CATS transfer into infotype 2002 which is run in background will kick off an update on IT0014 in the case of a certain time type being entered. By keeping it in infotype 2002, it also allows our payroll group to manually add entries there as well and this process will still work.

Lost all my .mac mail from the server when I changed to icloud

Hi Can anyone help, I've lost about two years of back up emails from my .me account when I transferred to iCloud?

Mailboxes and messages are located in ~/Library/Mail Check that folder to see if any folders are named for your accounts (e.g., [email protected]). Look in these folders if they contain any messages.
Alternatively, you can do a Spotlight search for a specific message that you know you had. In the Search results, right-click to Show in Finder. This may lead you to where all your other messages are.
Other than re-importing messages from within Mail.app, I don't know how you can restore everything including folder structures, etc. Perhaps someone else in this forum can give pointers. Re smart mailboxes, you can just recreate them once everything is back in.

There are many ways you can achieve this..
1. There is a user exit which is called before saving the Sales order. ABAP code can be written to check if that is the sales order created thru XI with the helpof created user ID. Then a RFC call or a IDOC can be triggered to XI.
2. You can schedule a program in R/3 which would check the table CDHDR with the object class for Sales Order and check if any slaes order is being modified. If so check if the sales order is created by the XI using the user ID. If so then trigger a RFC or IDOC from R/3 to XI.

HT1918 i couldn't change security question when i changed password

I do not remember the security questions...they look different. I can't change them either...I tried what they said to do, change your password and it'll ask for new questions, but it did not do that. Does anyone know how to change the security questions??

Contact Apple through iTunes Store Support, and explain that you have forgotten your 3 security questions, that you can reset your password, but doing so doesn't reset your security questions.
Explain that after resetting your password, you are still asked for the answers you have forgotten, before you can gain access to My Apple ID > Manage your account > Password & security, which is where you need to be to change your answers.
Remember, support will receive hundreds, if not thousands of requests per day, some from people trying it on, others with little explanation and others that are written extremely poorly. Take the time to explain your situation properly, be precise and concise, brief but comprehensive.

My iphone 3gs has started showing the wrong time and date. All was fine until this afternoon when it changed. My apps have the right time and date. However the world clock is wrong. I have to turn off the automatic time setting to get the right time.

My iphone is showing the wrong time and date. All was well until sometime this afternoon when it changed... to Nov 5 (2 days prior to today), and about 9 hours and some minutes before the actual time. The world clock for my time zone shows the same wrong date and time. My calender shows the same wrong date and time. The phone can not find my time zone any more. The only fix I found was to turn off the automatic setting for time. What is happening? Ideas?

Storing current slide in a variable, then using the variable to get back to that slide (Captivate 6)

I'm thinking there must be some info on this somewhere, because it's something people must want to do, but I haven't been able to find an answer.
I would like to set something up so that when a user clicks on a button, it will take them to a certain slide. But I want the current slide stored in a variable. And then, when they are ready to go back, there will be a return button, but it should check to see where they came from and then return them to that specific slide. Basically, a "return to last slide visited" type of advanced action. I can't use the "return to last slide" option because the slide they are taken to when they first click the button has multiple slides, so the "return to last slide" option would not take them to the last slide they were on before visiting this page. I tried to store this in a variable on a button click by assigning a variable with CpInfoCurrentSlide, and then jumping to a slide. But, I'm not sure how I would then use that info to return to this slide.

Captivate Advanced Actions don't actually provide an easy way to do this. It's another area we really need to address in forthcoming versions.
You need to use an On Enter Slide event to store the value of the cpInfoCurrentSlide system variable in a user variable.
Then you need to create another advanced action that can be triggered by your later button. Somewhat counterintuitively, you need to use an Expression action (rather than an Assign action) to assign the value captured in your user variable to cpCmndGotoSlide. But that's not all. Due to the way Captivate's slide indexes work, you'll need to deduct one from the value of your user variable before assigning it to cpCmndGotoSlide.
Then, unless you want the slide timeline to pause, you need to add a Continue action.
The final action looks a bit like this:

Web-I Report taking lots of time to refresh when filters changed

In BO XI 3.1 Web-I report is taking lot of time to refresh when any changes are made in edit query mode on the filters.
When the query is runned for the first time it runs well, but if we make any changes in the filters pane, it is taking lots of time to refresh, and when we cancel the query web-i server is not releasing the server resources (CPU, Memory)
Did anyone face this kind of a problem, and resolved it.

why do you need 100K rows in your reports? Is there a way to consolidate/aggregate your data on the database?
Comparing sqlplus and BOBJ is a little bit unfair. Let me explain you why:
sqlplus starts displaying data after the query returns the first results. I am sure that if you measure the time that sqlplus needs to display ALL rows, this should be way more than just 10 secs.
On the other hand BOBJ will display something as soon as the first page can be created. Depending on the way your report is structured, it may be the case that the WebI server should first get ALL rows in order to be able to display the first page of your report. This is for example the case if you let the total number of pages being displayed or if you display total sums already at the header of your report or if you have added a chart based on your data also in the header of your report. Of course, after the first call the report will be cached (and thus fast to be displayed) until you change again the parameters values for your query.
Since you do not display (or do you use this function in a variable or a formula, maybe?) the total number of pages in your report, I can only assume that you either trying to display total sums (or other kinds of aggregated values) or a chart in the first page of your report. Can you confirm this?

This can be achieved through the roles and authorization.
This can be done through the basis team. they can create user profiles and roles.
For the roles they assign some transaction codes so that they can view the only assigned tr. codes.
Like that ur requirement can be done.
Also u can prevent the user to change any fields in the sales order screen (VA02). for that please modify the authorisations.
