All saved passwords are gone

I have Simple pass on my HP laptop. I went to log onto a wbsite and didn't remember my password. So I opened Simple pass to get it and ALL of my saved passwords were gone. I logged onto facebook and Simple pass asked me if I wanted it to remember my password like it was the first time I was using it. HELP please I need my passwords.
Thank you!

• Upgraded to firefox 5.0 but now all of my saved passwords are gone

Firefox suggested this a.m. that I upgrade to Firefox 5.0. So, I did, and I updated my Adobe Reader. After these upgrades were completed I rebooted my computer. Unfortunately, now all the passwords that Firefox previously asked if it could save for me (and I said yes) are gone. Should there not be a warning about this: "If you choose to upgrade to 5.0, all of the web site passwords Firefox previously saved for you will be deleted?" I don't even remember some of my passwords! What a joke.

• I have HP Simple Pass on my HHP laptop & all saved passwords are no longer avail since updating Firefox.

All of my saved passwords that I could enter by swiping my finger on my HP laptop with SimplePass are no longer useable since updating Firefox. I receive the following error message every time I try to use Simple Pass: "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (dpql) isn't associated with any program,"

Digital Persona got out of the consumer touch pad software business, and HP selected Egistec to handle HP Simple Pass.

First it would be helpful to get more info. Do you keep your music in the default location inside the iTunes folder? Do you use iTunes to keep it organized? Do you have any type of backup of either the iTunes Library files or your entire Music folder? Before reinstalling anything, check that your actual music files are still there. Go to your_homefolder/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music and I am pretty sure that all your files are still there. iTunes keeps its library file on the root level of the iTunes folder. It is either corrupted or you somehow created a new one which subsequently is empty. Hold down the option while you click on iTunes, then choose "existing library" and browse to your iTunes folder and select the iTunes Library file and see what happens. Report back if your iTunes Library file is corrupt.

• I deleted one of the email accounts from my i5 because I don't like all the password popups since upgradingto ios 7.2, and now ALL calendar entries are gone! I need them!!! Can anyone help?

I deleted one of the email accounts from my i5 because I don't like all the password popups since upgradingto ios 7.2, and now ALL calendar entries are gone! I need them!!! Can anyone help?

Well you need to add the email account back to get the calendar entries. Transfer them to another email provider. Then delete the account you don't want.

• My daughter register her ipod with my account and now all my contacts are gone?

my daughter register her ipod with my account and now all my contacts are gone and I have her contacts in my iphone I need my contacts back!!

If you are sharing the same iCloud account your data will be merged. Then if she deleted your contacts from her device, they would have been deleted from yours too.
The first thing to do is migrate your daughter's iPod to her own iCloud account (you can continue to share the same iTunes ID; it does not need to be the same as the ID you use for iCloud). To do this, start by saving any photo stream photos she wants to keep to her camera roll (unless already there) by opening her my photo stream album, tapping Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward pointing arrow), then tap Save to Camera Roll. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create her new account and choose Merge to upload your data.
Once she is on her own account, you may be able to recover your contacts from your iCloud backup by following these steps: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4841.

• Lost all saved passwords. how do I retreive them?

I have lost all of my saved passwords in my Tools, Options, Security. How do I go about restarting this so it will save passwords from here forward, or if possible retrieving all of the passwords that were lost. Thank you for any help I can get on this. I have tried everything I know how and I'm unable to retrieve the passwords or get information on how to at least start saving them starting from here.
Thank You

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

* https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
It is possible that there is a problem with the files key3.db and signons.sqlite that store the encrypted names and passwords in Firefox.
Rename the files key3.db and signons.sqlite in the Firefox profile folder.
You can add .old to the file names (key3.db.old and signons.sqlite.old) or move them to another folder to make it possible to undo the action.
You need to set a new Master Password after renaming or deleting key3.db and all currently saved passwords are lost.
If that has worked then you can remove the renamed files that are no longer needed.

• Hotmail: my password is listed in the tools box, but is not entered when logging on so I have to type it in every time. all other passwords are automatically entered. why not hotmail?

Windows Live Hotmail: every time I log on to this site for my emails, I have to manually type in my password, instead of Firefox automatically doing it.The tools box for saved passwords shows the right password in the list of saved passwords, so why is this particular password not entered automatically? All other saved passwords are entered automatically in the appropriate website logins. Puzzling!

Are you referring to the SAME computer/login?
If not, he likely has auto-complete (or similar) enabled and you probably do not.

• I just updated my iPod touch and all my pictures are gone!!! How do I get them back? Please help!!!

I just updated my iPod touch 4th generation to iOS 6.0.1 and all my pictures are gone!!! Everything else is there but my pictures! How do I get them back? Please help!!!

If the photos were i your iPod's Camera Roll album (taken by or saved to the iPod you can:
- If your PhotoStream is on you can get the last 30 days worth back. See that topic here:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
- Or you can restore from backup if you backed up when the photos were on the iPod.
If the photos were synced to the iPod then you have to get them from where you got them the first time.

• I changed my Apple-ID email settings, now all the iMessages are gone. Why is that? I want them back.

As the title says, I just changed my Apple-ID because I got a new main email account. Now all the iMessages are gone.
How can I get them back or will they synchronize again?
This really saddens me because I love storing my old conversations.
Thanks for your input.

I have a problem with iMessage syncing between my MacBook and my iPhone. It used to sync just fine [i.e., I could see the same iMessage conversation on both my iPhone and MacBook], but no longer.
Now, I believe I inadvertently caused the problem because I changed my Apple ID [I was changing from a @comcast.net address to an @gmail.com one]. When I go into iMessage on my iPhone and attempt to add my email addresses [in addition to the phone number] a default Sign on box appears with my old @comcast.net Apple ID. The old password to that address does not work, and entering the new password to the new @gmail.com address does not work either. I cannot seem to find a way to edit the default [older] Apple ID that pops up. Any suggestions? Thank you.

• All my contacts are gone from my iphone and my address book!!

All of a sudden, I synced my iphone with my imac as usual and all my contacts are gone out of the phone and the address book onmy computer. Help! Thanks

Do you not maintain a backup of your important data saved to an external hard drive used for backup purposes only or to CD media?
The Address Book application includes a simple backup database option as does iCal which is simple to restore the entire database from in the event something like this occurs.
Do you have a .Mac account? If so, you can recover all contacts from your .Mac online address book. If not and you don't have a backup of this data available in some fashion, you are in trouble.

• Saved passwords / certificates gone after running Migration Assitant

After running and subsequently aborting Migration Assistant on my Mac (migration failed on the other side due to lack of disk space, so it was all aborted), Firefox has lost all certificates and all saved passwords.
Restoring the entire profile directory from a Time Machine backup has had no effect, the data is simply gone.
Is there any way to recover this?

'''''The following doesn't add much to the above, but I'll leave it here anyway.'''''
When you say you ran the Troubleshooter, I'm not sure exactly what you did. Did you use the Safe Mode dialog? Some checkboxes on that dialog do clear settings as noted by their description.
If you do the following, can you find any additional Firefox settings folders (AKA profile folders):
Help > Troubleshooting Information > Show Folder
In the Windows Explorer window, navigate up one level. If you see multiple folders, your settings might be safely stored in a different folder.

• All my Notes are gone now. How do I get my Notes back?

You can restore from your iTune or iCloud backup if you have one.

• I just updated the new iTunes and now all my playlists are gone!! What the heck?!

All my playlist are gone from itunes with the new update. If I click on "sync" it asks me to erase all my music and videos... Is there a way to avoid doing this? Thanks.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
In the unlikely event that your media has been wiped from your computer see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
