All songs not displaying

I am using itunes 7.02 on my PC. My laptop has itunes 6.05. When I do a power search in the music store for example Johnny Mathis on my PC (itunes 7.02) I see only 4 songs. When i searh for Johnny Mathis on my laptop (itunes 6.05) I see many many songs. What can I do for itunes 7.02 so that I can see more songs. Also the billboard does not diaply on itunes 7.02, HELP PLEASE!

See: Some songs don't don't show under artist on my iPod.
From what I understand (thanks to forum member PT for this), once you add a second album name for that artist even for a single song, ALL the rest of the songs should now show up under that artist, even those without album names.

  • Songs not displaying

I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I have an ipod photo which keeps not displaying any of my songs. When I try to access songs/albums/artists etc it comes up blank. The data has not been wiped off the hard disk as the capacity and the amount of disk space used up corresponds to my iPod library. The problem is easily solved by plugging my iPod in to update. After it has updated any new songs all the others appear on screen as normal however this only lasts for a few uses before the whole process starts again. Has this happened to anyone else? I'd be grateful if anybody could advise me on what the problem is and how I can solve it. Thanks

Ok, so i just bought a 30GB iPod video, and when i put my music on it, everything worked fine. but when i go to certain bands, it skips the "albums" screen and automatically goes to the first album on the list. i know i have the songs, because i did a search on the iPod and the songs are there and they play, but they still don't appear when going from the "artists" screen, to the "albums" screen. what should i do?

  • Why would all songs not 'share'?

I have set up home sharing on 2 computers but there are not the same # of songs showing from my main library on the secondary computer. Why would some songs not 'share'?

    Hello there, Tony.
When trying to group various tracks into compilations albums, the following Knowledge Base article provides the steps on how to acomplish that:
Why aren't songs with the same album art grouped together? - Apple Support
    Albums with various artists
Some albums include songs from multiple artists. Because of this iTunes may display them as separate album as shown below:
You can mark these songs as a compilation in iTunes. In iTunes 8 and later, you find the option to mark multiple items as "Part of a compilation" in the Options tab of the Multiple Item Information window.
To do this in iTunes 7, select all the songs that you want to be included in the compilation and select Get Info from the file menu and select Yes in the Compilation menu as shown below. After clicking OK iTunes will group all the selected songs together.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • All songs not showing under artists name - even though spelling is the same

I have 8 songs by a particular artist. Only one shows under "artist". I have checked 5 times - spelling-everything is the same for the artist. All of the songs can be found under "songs". I have checked spellings over & over. What could be my problem?

There are usually two things that contribute to songs not appearing under Artist on the iPod, both due to information either in or missing from the Get Info>Info tab against the song in iTunes. 1) the song is marked as part of a compilation or 2) the song has no album name associated with it.
if the tracks are ticked in the Get Info>Info tab as part of a compilation, they will not appear under Artist on the iPod. Highlight a song in iTunes that you know is not appearing correctly on your iPod. Right click on it and choose Get Info and click the Info tab (alternatively choose Get Info from the File menu), if "Part of a Compilation" is marked untick it and afterwards update your iPod, you should find it now appears as normal. If you are using iTunes 8 and view the multiple items info box the compilations setting is in the "Options" tab. Setting "Compilations" on your iPod main menu prevents you getting lots of single artist entries when you load an album by various artists.
Also if the tracks are missing an Album name in the Info tab, this information needs to be filled in. The no album one is a bit quirky as the songs will appear under certain circumstances (for instance I read somewhere that if you have at least two tracks with different album names the rest will appear), however the simplest remedy is just add None or Miscellaneous to all the blanks in place of a title. • Playlists, songs not displaying on nano

I am unable to see any new playlist or song in my iPod nano.
I just purchased a 4GB black nano, installed iTunes 5.01.
To try it out, I purchased 1 album and 3 individual songs. iTunes created a playlist called "Purchased". All songs were downloaded and put into this playlist.
I have tried both option setting to auto and manual updates. I can see my iPod and everything as it should be from iTunes but when I browse the iPod nothing shows up.
I have restored factory settings and tried again.. Still nothing shows up despite I can see it in iTunes.

Hah! I figured it out. I had a virtual drive mapped to d: (from the subst command in my startup). I removed the mapped drive and all was well.
I had a hint that this was the problem from another thread.
I wish it could have at least given me an error message that would have given me a clue..
Anyhow, problem solved and everything is working great!

  • All songs not showing up in media player

I loaded songs onto my 8gb microsd card. I can see that the songs are on the card (on the computer and in the phone) but all of them do not show up under media player. When I explore the memory card, I can play the songs that are not on the media player when I go through the folders so I know they are not DRM protected. How can I get the songs to show up in the media player?

    Hi,
If you are able to see the songs on the media card and they play as well, I wouldn't
think the method to move the media is the issue. The issue seems to be the
    indexing of the catalogue.
On the Blackberry go to the main media home screen.
Menu key, explore, media card. Find the music folder, menu key show hidden.
Delete the BBthumbs.dat file. Do a battery pull and return to the media screen
and let the phone fully re-index the files. See if you have all files listed.

  • How to see all songs NOT stored locally on device?

    Hello,
I am looking for a way to view songs that need to be downloaded on my iPod Touch FROM the device. The only way I see is to scroll through my songs (in the thousands) to look for songs with the cloud icon and tap it to start downloading.
Is there a way to create a smart playlist that shows only the songs that are not stored locally on the device? Or something similar?
As I am updating my library on the desktop (updating / deleting / adding / ripping / etc) I would like to have the updates loaded to the device as i am going through the long updating process (lots of CDs to go through).
any insight would be greatly appreciated.

[Suggestion only, I haven't done this myself.]
Create a Smart Playlist, and sync it to your iPod Touch so you can use it there. Make the rule "iCloud Status" "is not" "Local Only."
p.s.: you do know that you don't HAVE to store all of your songs on your iPod Touch, right? I'd never be able to get all of my songs on my 16 Gb iPhone. In fact, I frequently remove all locally stored music from it, and just stream from the cloud... And metadata updates appear to occur automatically, when you're using wi-fi.

  • IPod Classic Pauses at 9 seconds on all songs NOT originally from iTunes?

Recently any song I play that was not originally purchased via iTunes (stuff I had on my old PC for years that have always worked fine) pauses at 11 seconds. All of the songs I have purchased through iTunes and some of the songs I imported from CDs work fine. Is this a glitch in the newest iTunes software?

Do you have anything installed that might be writing to the music file, for example an external program like Clutter which looks for artwork or pearLyrics (or similar widget) that looks for lyrics? If they are finding the information and adding it to the file as the song plays, it can cause a pause or stutter.
Do you have a notification program such as Growl? I don't know enough about these programs to know why they cause a problem but the last time this question got asked, it turned out to be a notification program the name of which I've forgotten.
iScobbler could be a culprit. Look for any helper applications for iTunes.

  • All songs not backed up including purchased songs

I backed up my library from a windows PC to an external drive and then restored from that backup to my MacBook. All the songs did not come through, I am not missing about 900 songs from the backup. How do I fix this?

No idea why your backup failed. No way to tell unless the logs of that backup process are still around.
As for your purchased music from iTunes. Their policy has always been that you are responsible for making secure backups of your own music. You can try and call their customer service line and see if they will make an exception, but odds are that you'll have to re-purchase those songs, or live without them.

  • Is there any way to find all songs not associated with a playlist?

I have thousands of songs - many of which were never put into a playlist.  Is there a script or any other way to easily find all the songs that are not in a playlist?

  • Sync all songs, not the playlists

    Hello Everyone,
I have a quick problem I'd like help with. I was wondering if it is at all possible to sync all the songs in the library, just not the playlists. I use a shared computer so there is a lot of unwanted playlists. So is this at all possible? Thanks.
    Cheers,
    Ken

Have you considered using "Sync Music - Selected Playlists" and creating a single playlist with links to all of the songs in the library to update from? The rest of the playlists will remain in iTunes. Open iTunes and create a playlist to update your iPod from, call it -iPod to make it the first playlist in Sources. Now connect your iPod and when it appears in the Source list click on the iPod icon to bring up the preference tabs in the main pane. Go to the Music tab and choose Sync Music and the Selected playlists radio button. Choose the playlist you just made from the selection and click Apply. You can also sync from any existing playlists by choosing the same setting:

  • Some, but not all, albums not displayed after Yosemite/iPhoto 9.6 upgrade

After upgrading to Yosemite and iPhoto 9.6, photos from  some, but not all, albums are missing. All albums from the previous version are listed in the Library, but 12 of 15 are showing "(0)" with no contents.
    Is recovery possible?
    iMac 21.5in (late 2009), OS X 10.10.2
3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    4 GB Ram
    OS X 10.10.2
    iPhoto 9.6 (910.29)

Your best solution is to restore a backup copy of the library made just prior to the Yosemite and iPhoto upgrades.
    Otherwise try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window. Be sure to follow the circled recommendation in the screenshot.
    2 - run Option #4, Rebuild Database.

  • All Pictures not displaying some pictures

When I choose All Pictures to view all the pics on my media card only the pics in the default folder show up.  Any picture in a sub-folder I created does not show the thumbnail or the picture if I try to open it.  Yet if I go to the actual Picture Folders I can see them there just fine.  I reformatted the card, copied all the pics to my computer, organized them, removed any thumbs.db files and copied back down using Blackberry Desktop Media Manager by Roxio and it still has the same issue.  help?
    Patrick

Also, try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank power On again in the normal way.] It is absolutely/appsolutely safe!

  • All offering not displaying in Learning Path

    Hi,
We have created a course which contains 3 offerings (with different delivery modes), each offering have 1 class.
When we attach this course to a learning path and an employee subscribes to this learning path, only one offering is getting displayed to employee.
Can we show all offerings under a course in a learning path.
    Regards
    Manuj

    Hi, Manuj.
Your Learners should be able to see all Offerings that have Classes that are currently active (have no end date or an end date in the future).
Here are three things to check:
The Learner you are testing with has the appropriate Learner Access defined if the Restricted check box is selected for the Classes that belong to the Offerings
The Classes that you've created under the three Offerings are currently active
You are within time period set for the Enrollment Dates listed for each of the active Classes

  • Under the music tab... songs not displaying correctly

so i just got a new 60 gb ipod video... got home loaded the necessary software and loaded the songs to the ipod. videos, pictures, and songs are all diplaying. with one small problem. when you go into the music tab, instead of seperating it into the selected catagories (i.e. artist, albums, and songs) it is just showing the titles of the songs in all catagories. i've reset it, restored factory defaults, cleared my entire music library out of itunes, then pulled it back in and nothing seems to be working. can someone please help me?????

    i'm talking about the ipod.
    this is what i'm getting
under the music heading on the ipod there are 8 catagories:
    1 playlists
    2 artists
    3 albums
    4 songs
    5 pocasts
    6 genres
    7 composers
    8 audiobooks
all of them are showing the songs correctly except 2 and 3.
2 and 3 are showing the song titles like it does in 4.
i can't get it to seperate all the songs by artists or albums.
does that make any more sense???
