All the text is unreadable, after my latest FF update,
The text is in rectangle boxes with unreadable artifacts. My ISP yahoo has the same issue as are all the pull down menus, except Headlines are readable. IE is fine. How can I correct this issue. Running XP sp3. Thanks, Joel
That's a bad font!
Check to see if you have any of the following fonts:
Helvetica Fractions, Times Phonetic and Alien.
and if you do, delete them!

I've created a Photoshop PDF and all the text is editable in the resulting PDF.
The PDF created by Photoshop is completely editable, all text! I put it through indesign so I could add crop marks and reduce the pdf file size and now all the text is editable except one line!

After updating to iBooks 2.1 all the text in my book is gone?
I have a book on the iBookstore <http://itunes.apple.com/us/book/some-secrets-should-never/id502402365?mt=11&uo=4>. All was fine till the iBooks 2.1 update. After updating all the text has disappeared in landscape mode. Working fine in portrait.
It was authored in IBA 1.0 but I just updated to 1.1 to see if the text returned after updating and previewing it. No go still broken. Not sure where to start.
To be clear:
Worked fine with IBA1.0 and iBooks 2.0. Updated iBooks to 2.1 and it broke. My customers will be experiencing the same issue. Those that update will get their books broken... :-(Thanks so much for going to so much trouble on my behalf Barnheisel.
To be honest I don't remember why I made the decisions I did. It was a week of pain as I ran into limitation after limitation while trying to put this thing together using a 1.0 product. Because I was doing odd things I ran into some really odd bugs. Clearly IBA was not designed to do what I was trying to do so it was from my perspecive hack after hack. There were reasons for what I did but they may have been based on misunderstandings as I fought to get my head round IBA.
For example I seem to remember it had to be one text chain to get the text to appear in portrait mode. Text just entered into a text box did not display in portrait mode. Maybe there is a way to do it but at the time I could not find it. All other weird decsions where like that.
I wanted the images to appear in portrait mode and that was the only way I could find to achieve it.
I am keen to see what you find out when you update to 2.1. Is there anyway I can get back to 2.0 for testing now that I have upgraded?

My phone keeps saying the storage is full so I deleted pictures, apps, and all my texts. Then after I do this my phone freezes and I have to restart it. When I restart my phone then everything I deleted comes back. What is going on?
HI Shelby,
It sounds like your available free space is not reporting properly. I would start by quitting the Settings app:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes, then restore it as new and verify that it works.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.

Why can't I create a document in my Facebook group on my iPad. It won't let me input any text into the text box field after I create a new document. Thanks.
Just thought I'd add my solution, I decided to go with WebDAV and I think it actually works better than the iTunes way, the steps are pretty much the same but avoiding the iTunes interface just makes things easier and faster.
I followed this guide but it does have a small mistake in the httpd-dav.conf file, on line 2, where it's WebServer/WebDAV">, it should be <Directory "/Library/WebServer/WebDAV">.
The tricky part is setting permissions which if wrong will give you errors when connecting with the iPad, I opted to set all to Read&Write since my home network has a hardware firewall. Another convenience was to add an alias to the webdav share on the Desktop.
I'm still expecting the call from Apple but even if they fix the iTunes I'm sticking with WebDAV, atleast until I see what's new with iOS5 and iCloud this fall which should bring true sync for documents (I'm hoping that they will offer encryption with my own keys, if not, then I'll probably keep using WebDAV). -
All applications in iWork fail to open after installing latest apple update. iMac running 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. Have tried reinstalling from iWork disc but no improvement. Help!

I'm transferring the iWorks applications from my Macbook Pro 3,1 with Lion to a new MBP 10,1 running Mountain Lion. I transferred the apps over using DropCopy since the older MBP doesn't have AirPlay. Applications show up but crash upon opening. This is the first install so there are no previous plist, versions or such to delete. All three crashed upon opening every time until I just had to have Keynote and purchased again - although Apple agreed to refund that purchase since my previous version quit working. Recieving emails all the text is Helvetica Fractions
I am getting a lot of emails coming in that are unreadable because all the text is Helvetica Fractions. My presets are all Arial so I can not understand why this happens. When I check mail from a PC it looks fine, only from my MAC

Why is all the text in the iPod section of my iTunes in grey?
I just started trying to hook up my iPod to my own windows, as opposed to my mom's mac, which is where it was previously hooked up. I already had iTunes on my comp, and it loaded the songs onto my iPod after all of the other stuff had been taken off. But, all the text is in grey in the section of iTunes where you can fiddle with songs on your actual iPod, as opposed to the ones that are just on iTunes. I can't do anything with the music files on the iPod, but the rest of my iTunes seems fine. What do I do?
you've currently got one of the automatic updating/syncing options engaged in your itunes ipod preference tab. to directly adjust things in that ipod screen, you would need to have "manually manage songs and playlists" engaged.

I just statred Flash CC for the first time and it seems that the text within the pop-up window (dialog box) is mis-aligned and not allowing me access to the command buttons, nor all the text. (ie: the NEW Template Box, can't see but 2/3 of the content) is there a fix to this problem? using 8.1, Monitor is a high res.2560x1440.

Dear all, greetings, I did not mean to offend anyone by typing all my texts in capital letters, I am just used to it and at my age (63) it is better and easier for my eyes to type all the texts in my messages in capital letters.I do apologize about it all. For web and computing experts I would like to remind them that all the peoples nowadays have the same needs (or hobbies if you wish) regarding the electronic devices, web, compouters, softwares and that sort of thing.

Two questions
1. I noticed on the you tube videos about the new ipad that the main icons are more than mine (i.e. the icon of facebook and a number or others are missing)
2. I would like to ask you to do me a favour, thanks for your patiene. Still I have not understood how (in which way, the pictures, transfered from my system or new taken by the ipad camera are uploaded directly to the FaceBook. I suppose that I will not have the same difficulties regarding the videos to both Facebook AND YoutTube. Athens, GreeceSome of the apps shown in adverts / videos have been downloaded from the App Store, they don't come pre-installed e.g. the Facebook app is a free download the app store : 'official' Facebook app.
To upload photos to Facebook you can use the above app - you can't, for example, use Safari on the iPad to upload content to sites.
Not sure whether any apps allow you to upload videos to YouTube (I don't use the site). -

A text file has to be zipped .I have used the class method CL_ABAP_ZIP-SAVE() to create a zip file in the application server. The zip file is double clicked and the text file is opened.
The formatting is lost in the text file, got after zipping.
Please let me know how I maintain the formatting in the zip file.

How do I change the color of all the text in a PDF?

I have a large PDF, over 1000 pages. Some of the text is highlighted which makes it difficult to see on my preferred document background. In Acrobat XI how do I change the color of all the text in the document back to black please? Although solutions using any other software will be much appreciated too.
I searched this forum already, and the same question was asked back in 2007 when it appears the only solution was to use an expensive third party plugin.

You could use the Accessibility Preferences > Change Document Colors to choose a text color. However, this is an individual preference and cannot be set as a default for others opening the document. -
How do ya delete all the text that is a web link?
i am not only looking to disable hyperlinks, i want to remove all the links including the text of the links.
like i want all the text that is a link to the web to delete. because i want to text to speech the thing and it has many links. ie this is a twitter thread, and i want all links out of my text, because it makes no sense for me to listen to them and kind of weird to listen to them. i only want the text, no links, no text of links. not only disable the link from being blue, but also deleting the information of the link. i do not want any links in my text, i do not want any text of web address in my document.

You may need to physically clean the rollers. You say all you run through it is that 22lb HP paper? I wouldn't think that woud be of any concern to the rollers.
