All thing about changing a battery

First post here...thanks in advance for your insights. I have read a bunch of past posts and threads here regarding the replacement of an Ipod mini (one with the white plastic top and bottom).
First of all I want to do this myself. I have read that some have broken there ipod replacing the battery, but this thing is old, and I need some adventure.
First of all the battery itself. I understand it is a EC003? What is the best one to get and where online. I would like to spend less than $20 on one. Is is worth getting a 850mAh or is 400 okay? Should I stay away from *ebay? I read forum there that said some auctions sell bum batteries. They seem pretty cheap there.
Any links to good tutorials?
Let's here your experiences.

Hi All,
This is my own results post of sorts, relavent things I learned while changing the Ipod mini battery.
As mentioned above there are all sorts of links related to this subject, discussion, picture and even video tutorials.
After reading/watching I did my own successfully with a EC003 battery purchased from Amazon for approx $12 (with two screw drivers and instructions) shipping included.
First thing, before removing the plastic ends, look for the area with the most significant gap to get your tool in. I used my own tiny flat (smaller than the one provided) jewelers screw driver to breach the gap. Without prying, just get underneath and gently lift it enough to get a fingernail underneath it. I was able to hold it up with a fingernail and slowly move the fingernail in position around the perimeter and until it popped right off. Do not work it off from just one area as you could break it in half. I could see only a small blemish on the plastic and a slight almost inperseptable blem on the case sight. If you use a small screwdriver as described on the directions and around the web you will certainly make the plastic ends pretty marred in my opinion. Also the anodizing on the alumium case will also come of easily where a screwdriver contacts it. If you can't get your fingernail underneath it, use something plastic and flat that is as thin as a fingernail. Just trying to save the appearance of your mini folks!
Next, pay close attention to how others in tutorials are removing the click wheel connector from the logic board. This is a procedure to disconnect the click wheel done before pushing the the logic and everything else out of the top of the case. The study the connectors very carefully in the picture or videos to determine what to actually pull out or pry on. I could see how this could be damaged very easily.
Now, here is where I ran into issues with my disassembly not discussed or described by anyone. Upon attempting to push the logic board and everything attached out the top of the case, I could only get it to move out about 5 or 7mm then it stop. After pushing it back into position, I pushed it back out a few only to come out about 10mm. At this point I became frustrated and almost resorted to force, so I went to go have lunch. If I contined the extraction this certainly would have yeilded undesirable results. Before I left, I put it in a ziplock bag and stuck it in the refidgerator (yes the fridge, more later). After some tasty Asian cuisine, my pushing thumb was no longer as raw. I removed it from ziplock bag and let the mini get some air to prevent any condensation. Now back to pushing gently but pressure from the bottom with my thumb. It moved out even more, but still needed to pushing it back in and out, you get the idea. It finally came out! On closer examination, the original Ipod battery attached was bowed or bulging which, when inside was wedging the battery against back of the case. Wheeew. So, now remove the old battery, again look at tutorial pics or vids carefully to determine how to disengage the battery cable connector, again, in my opinion very easily damaged if pryed or pulled incorrectly. In retrospect, the core of the battery was probably swollen by heat and by cooling it down probably shrank it enough to get it out of the case.
Next revelation. The battery I purchased was slightly dimensionally wider (not girth). I looks like it will fit in (almost). Another item to keep your eye on - the top end with the earplug recepticle and hold button is its own intergrated component piece. When I slotted in the slighly larger battery, the component became unpluged from the logic board. At first I thought it broke off. I plugged it gently back in. After refitting the battery, the whole component slid back in and seated in the proper place in the case. In my research no one really mentioned anything about slight variation in battery size or to watch the connector on the earplug/hold botton component.
It all went back together as originally assembled. It fired up and the click wheel worked as it should on a low battery charge. Before the battery replacement, I noticed the screen had an area with a small smudge bloch. With the new battery this is now gone. I think the old battery must have been putting pressure on the back of the screen (my own theory).
I have not tested it to see how long the battery life will be..........
In summary, I think you have to have some handy ability with jewelers screw drivers, finesse, and some small circuit board common sense. Above all, have a web reference that shows the process in as much close-up detail of each step, and take your time. You should be fine. Do it. Good luck.

My Aperture 2.1 has gone into a continual thumbnail mode.  I left the computer, a MacBook Pro, run all night, about 12 hours and it is still making thumbnails.  I tried reloading Aperture 2.1, but that did not change anything.  I have also turned the system off, for a period of time, and then turning it back on, when I click on Aperture, it comes up and locks in the thumbnail mode.  I can view my stored pictures, even modify them, but it still says thumbnails.
I got in this mode by trying to import "one jpeg photo", from a scanned slide using a Nikon Scan4 IS5000ED scanner.  I had saved the scan to my  desktop before I tried to import it.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now.  About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

  • I cleaned up several albums in iTunes only to have Match wipe all of my changes out.  How can I alter things in iTunes and have the changes stay?

I signed up for Match but when I added new albums, they failed to appear.  Ultimately I got a message to Sign Out and then Sign In to the Apple Store tab under iTunes.  I then added the computer back to Match.  It went through the process and uploaded the new albums (or matched them) but it also reversed hours of work I had done it editing my library and cleaning up track lists and song titles.
HOW CAN I edit/maintain my library without Match wiping every change out?????
And when will the Cover Art issue be solved???

Match was off.  I made all of the changes and then went through the "Turn on iTunes Match" option.  I now have deleted some tracks, edited the Metadata in CDDA, and then added it back.  This worked fine, but it is not a good solution.
I just tried making some edits and use the "Update iTunes Match" and that seemed to work.  It looks like the real answer is that Match must be up and operational, then you can make changes and run the Update to incorporate the changes.  However, if Match has a problem then Signing Out and back in to your store account and going through the process of Turning On Match (were you get the questions, "Add this Computer to Match" will overwrite any changes.
Since this relies on the stability of iTunes, I won't be making a lot of changes between updates.

  • TS3048 I changed the battery in my wireless keyboard and checked the batteries to make sure that they work.  When I returned to my computer (the computer was already on) the keyboard would not work, no response at all.  What do I do?

I changed the battery in my wireless keyboard and checked the batteries to make sure that they are good, I left the computer on while I changed the batteries. When I returned to the computer, the computer does not acknowledge the keyboard so I can't do any diagnostics. What do I do?

Hold the power key on the keyboard down for 5 secs to power off,  tap the power button once to start.   It should connect automatically.

  • Has anyone managed to change the battery in a creative Zen MX

=i bought a 6gb zen MX? in November 2007 and have used it every day since. The battery is now in a sorry state and doesn't hold a charge for more than about 4 hours. After fully charging it, if you then leave it overnight the battery almost totally depletes. The battery is definitely a goner. Has anyone opened one of these players, changed the battery and then got the thing back together successfully? I've looked around on the net but can't find any info on how i might open the player to insert a new battery. Meanwhile i've bought a new Creative ZenMX but i prefer the old one with its dedicated slider for on/off and lock and it would be great if i could somehow get a new battery into it.
I still have my old Ceati've Zen Jukeboxes (30gb and 60gb) and i wore a couple of batteries out in those. But all you had to do was open the player and shove in a new battery. Shame that facility no longer exists in Creative's MP3 players.
Any help on the issue of replacing the battery in an MX would be much appreciated.

Re: has anyone managed to change the battery in a creative Zen MX%Thanks for the links Bertwin, much appreciated.
Now i have a problem in obtaining a replacement battery. Back in the day you could phone Creative (in Ireland) and order replacement batteries but alas, no longer. On the net you can easily find replacement batteries for every Creative player.....except for the Zen MX. ? The replacement x-fi battery looks similar? and has the same wire connections but it is 3.7v as opposed to 3.6v in the MX. Also the x-fi battery is rated at? 550mAh while the MX is rated at 0.55AH. (Though i guess that could mean they are the same capacity only it's written differently)
The Creative part number for the MX battery is BAC0603R79925 and the Creative Model No is : LPC6333445
If anyone knows where to obtain this battery please post.

  • Directions for changing pram battery on imac DV

    Hi,
A friend of mine has an imac 400 DV slot loader with a dead pram battery. I look after this computer for them but have never changed the battery on one of these. Can anyone give me directions and/or photos? I've had a look through older questions but the links all seem to be out of date.
    Thanks,
    James

This Macworld article has photos that illustrate removal of the bottom housing and EMI shield, to access the motherboard for upgrades. Some experienced users have been able to replace the battery, by accessing it through the memory door on the bottom. This involves the risk of letting it slip out of your fingers and then having to maneuver/tilt the iMac about, to remove the loose battery. Prior to removal, you should note the battery's orientation as to polarity (marked on the motherboard).

My Time Capsule is giving me a warning that  double NAT situation is occurring and recommends that I set it to bridge mode What is all this about please can it be explained in layman's terms and not martian thank you.

You have two devices....the Netgear and Time Capsule both configured to act as routers on the network. You only want one device providing this service.
I suggest that you configure the Time Capsule in Bridge Mode as suggested to eliminate the Double NAT error. Unfortunately, the Guest Network cannot be enabled in this setting.
No other adjustments are needed and everything else will operate normally...and the Time Capsule will still be providing your wireless network signal.
Once the Time Capsule is configured in Bridge Mode, it would be an excellent idea to perform a complete power cycle on the network to allow things to reset properly.
Just power off all devices on the network in any order that you want
    Wait a minute
Start the Netgear device first, and let it run a minute by itself
Start the Time Capsule next the same way
Continue starting devices one at a time the same way until everything is powered backup
The other option you have is to "ignore" the error and the light will turn green. The Double NAT error may...or may not cause some issues for you down the line. The next time that you update the Mac operating system, or update the firmware in the Time Capsule, it may likely change the Time Capsule to Bridge Mode automatically.
If your Guest Network "disappears", you will know why this happened, and you will have to manually configure the Time Capsule again in Router Mode to provide DHCP and NAT services.
Double NAT can also cause a slow down of web page loading. You may...or may not....notice this.

  • "Date Modified" for all files being changed if "Automatically write to XMP" is on

Recently upgraded from LR3 (v3.4.1) from LR2 on OSX 10.6.8 and have always had Catalog Settings > Automatically write changes into XMP turned on.
When browsing existing JPG files in my Library (no Develop changes, no keywording, no Presets, no Import), LR3 is writing to disk — i.e., when I look at files in Finder, almost every viewed file’s “Date Modified” is being set to today’s date and time. (It actually creates a .swp file, then changes it's name back to .jpg)
This is really bad, as it's making it impossible for me to use Finder to figure out when I last worked with a file, it is triggering needless Time Machine and Backblaze backups, and unnecessarily churning my disk.
If I turn off "Automatically write..." this behavior stops. Per David Marx at thelightroomlab.com, I tried turning off this preference, manually doing a "Save Metadata to File" for all files, letting that complete, then turning the preference back on. This does not solve the problem.
Per a suggestion at photoshop.com, I used ExifTool to see what changes LR was writing to a sample file; from the diff below, you can see that LR is adding a bunch of new fields as well as moving other fields around. But my point is that LR3 should never overwrite a file on disk if all I am doing is browsing thru them.
Is anyone else seeing this? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Then when LR3 loaded my old LR2 images into memory, it "dirtied" the in-memory copy of the file by adding in these new LR3 XMP fields. Then, because I had "Automatically write XMP" on, it said "I better write these changes to disk".
Yuck. As a former software engineer, this is very bad software engineering.
It should wait until the user dirties the file (via Develop, keywords, etc.) before presuming to add a bunch of metadata fields that are unique to the new version of LR3.
Well, I'm a current software developer, and this is, really, a perfectly reasonable thing to do. It is a reasonable trade-off for a convenient feature required by a small subset of users.
Yes, in most cases the in-memory copy should "never" be dirtied unless the user makes a gesture of some sort, but like I said earlier, this option (once set by the user) sets up the situation where this gesture becomes implicit. This is a clear trade-off for the sake of convenience. And if the XMP is out of date and needs to be updated en masse, so be it.
The fact is, there is no easy way around this. Do we save up /every/ dirty buffer somehow until you make a gesture that /might/ require the XMP to be up-to-date before acting on that gesture? Now we have to worry about unflushed buffers if something goes wrong and the app exits. Do we save the buffers to the DB? Now we have to block some calls to make another blocking call to flush some or all of those to DB, and then write some or all of it out to one or more files. In what order? What if there is a gesture to have X files with up-to-date XMP and some or all of those are in unflushed buffers, unflushed DB writes or we have to wait for the DB.
As you can see, this is a transactionality nightmare, and the easiest and safest thing to get what the user wants (i.e., up-to-date XMP for the purpose of talking to a third-party XMP aware app) is to simply update the sidecar or XMP block in an atomic manner using the correct file IO. The file will have to change at some point, so it may as well be now.
[Thanks to both of you for your detailed replies. I am aware of the need for tradeoffs so when you say the approach taken is quite reasonable, I do believe you. I also apologize in advance for the length of the following and am extremely aware of the time it must have taken you to compose the above replies, but I'm going to add a bit more, if only for my own piece of mind and in hopes of coming up with a solution for my workflow.]
From my naive point of view, I was expecting the answer to be simply "don't raise the XMPDirtyFlag upon reading in a file". Obviously if your architecture requires you to "upgrade to latest XMP format" upon read, and another part of the system auto-detects "out of date XMP", then it's going to write those changes to disk.
But it didn't need to be designed that way. LR obviously has mechanisms to know when a user has made a change to XMP so it is able to write XMP changes to disk only when necessary.
The promise (to me) of "Automatically Write XMP changes to disk" was to auto-save my changes, and not those made for any internal (i.e., XMP versioning related) changes.
Perhaps the premise is that it is LR3's job to update an individual file's XMP to the latest version so that other XMP-aware apps can make use of it? I would argue that those third-party XMP-aware apps already have to know how to deal with all prior versions of XMP, so LR3 should just leave well enough alone.
You asked if my problem with your approach was that it was "inelegant"; not at all, it is based on my own perception of what I need from my workflow, so let me describe that so maybe we can find a better way:
    * Part of the appeal of LR to me is that it preserves my original file as it came off the memory card, allowing me to move to a different workflow/toolset in 2025 if I choose to do so
    * However, with all of changes contained in a single database file, I'm concerned about rare (but possible) corruption, so to mitigate this risk, I let LR backup my database weekly and it's also backed up continuously in the cloud via Backblaze
    * Even with backups of the database, there is still a chance that I could lose changes made to individual files (e.g., LR corrupts the DB and I have to go back to last week's DB)
    * Thus the appeal of the "auto-write to XMP" flag -- that way critical changes (develop, crop, keywords) are saved on a per-file basis; I liked the "automatic" part of this (as opposed to a manual save) because then I don't have to teach others in my family how to manually save XMP changes
    * A nice side-effect of this setting is now when I use Finder to find a file and double-click on it to edit it in Photoshop, all my develop changes are right there; (in other words, I like the flexibility of not having to fire up LR in order to just invoke PS from within it); also when I use Bridge I see all the keywords there
    * So with LR2, I had gotten used to what I thought was the best of all worlds -- autosave of changes at the file level via XMP + raw negatives untouched (i.e., Date Modified == the date I took the picture); this allows me to use operating-system-level tools -- Finder -- to locate/search for files
    * Now I upgrade to LR3 and I'm finally now understanding that a concept "XMP versioning" is going to result in changes to many, but not all my files. (That's something else that's annoying about this issue -- I open up the Grid and browse a folder of files, and only seemingly random ones I've cursored over seem to get written to disk -- if it's so urgent that LR3 update the XMP, then it should do it for all the files in the catalog or at least in that directory)
Here's a screenshot from Finder of what I see everytime I look at this folder:
    * So now I have to assume that each new version of XMP and/or LR is going to touch my files on disk. Sigh.
    * What I don't like about this is that it is ruining the promise of "untouched raw negative". Yes, the image data is untouched -- which I agree is most of the benefit; but the file has been touched.
    * Perhaps you might empathize a bit more if you imagined that someone went thru all your source code or Word files and randomly changed the date to "today" because you upgraded compilers or moved to Word 2011.
I agree all of this would be solved by having an XMP sidecar file for JPGs, but you indicate that's not going to happen.
You've also alluded to the solution of "resetting the Date Modifed" to it's original value -- which I believe is what Finder does when you move or copy a file -- but that that is fraught with issues as well. I believe you when you say there are issues, but again the naive part of me wonders why that soultion would be so bad...
I just thought of another potential solution -- turning on Date Created in Finder -- but it turns out that's changed, too.
I am really at a loss as to what to do and would welcome your suggestions.
    Thanks again and kind regards,

All you can do is call the service provider that phone was being used with to cancel the phone account at least.
However, if you did not have a passcode lock on it, then the person with it has access to everything on it.  You should immediately change all your email account passwords, and any other online account's passwords you used or had set up on the phone.
There is nothing you can do remotely to the phone now, and even cancelling the phone service account will not stop someone from using your emails and such on wifi.  Changing your account passwords will lock them out of your accounts.

  • Can i know some thing about unicode errors

can i know some thing about unicode errors

    Hi,
UCCCHECK is to check if all your programs are UNICODE compatiable.
    Now UNICODE means
    Unicode - Overview
Before release 6.10, SAP supported different codes for representing characters of different fonts, for example ASCII, EBCDIC as single-byte code pages or double-bytecode pages:
ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) encodes every character with one byte. This means that a maximum of 256 characters can be displayed (strictly speaking, standard ASCII only encodes one character using 7 bit and can therefore only represent 128 characters. The extension to 8 bit is introduced with ISO-8859). Examples of common code pages are ISO-8859-1 for Western European, or ISO-8859-5 for Cyrillic fonts.
EBCDIC (Extended Binary Coded Decimal Interchange) also encodes each character using one byte, and can therefore also represent 256 characters. For example,EBCDIC 0697/0500 is an IBM format that has been used on the AS400 platform for Western European fonts.
Double byte code pages require between 1 and 2 bytes per character. This enables the representation of 65,536 characters, of which only 10,000 to 15,000 characters are normally used. For example, the code page SJIS is used for Japanese and BIG5 for traditional Chinese fonts.
Using these character sets, all languages can be handled individually in one ABAP-based SAP system. Difficulties arise if texts from different incompatible character sets are mixed in one central system. The exchange of data between systems with incompatible character sets can also lead to problems.
The solution to this problem is the use of a character set that includes all characters at once. This is realized by Unicode Unicode (ISO/IEC 10646) . A variety of Unicode character representations is possible for the Unicode character set, for example UTF, in which a character can occupy between one and four bytes.
From release 6.10, the SAP NetWeaver Application Server supports both Unicode and non-Unicode systems. Non-Unicode systems are conventional ABAP systems, in which one character is usually represented by one byte. Unicode systems are ABAP systems that are based on a Unicode character set and which have a corresponding underlying operating system, including a database.
Before release 6.10, many ABAP programming methods were based on the fact that one character corresponds to one byte. Before a system is converted to Unicode, ABAP programs must therefore be modified at all points where an explicit or implicit assumption is made about the internal length of a character.
ABAP supports this conversion using new syntax rules and new language constructs, whereby emphasis was placed on retaining as much of the existing source code as possible. As a preparation for the conversion to Unicode - but also independently of whether a system will actually be converted to Unicode - the checkbox Unicode checks active can be selected in the program properties. The transaction UCCHECK supports the activation of this check for existing programs. If this property is set, the program is identified as a Unicode program. In a Unicode program, an additional stricter syntax check is performed than in non-Unicode programs. In some cases, statements must also be enhanced by using new additions. A syntactically correct Unicode program will normally run with the same semantics and the same results in Unicode and non-Unicode systems. (Exceptions to this rule are low-level programs that query and evaluate the number of bytes per character). Programs that are required to run in both systems should therefore also be tested on both platforms.
In a Unicode system, only Unicode programs can be executed. Before converting to a Unicode system, the profile parameter abap/unicode_check should be set to "ON" so that only the execution of Unicode programs is permitted. Non-Unicode programs can only be executed in non-Unicode systems. All language constructs that have been introduced for Unicode programs can, however, also be used in non-Unicode programs.
It has been established that existing programs that have been programmed with no errors mostly fulfill the new Unicode rules and therefore require very little modification. Conversely, most programs that require significant changes are due to an error-prone and therefore questionable programming style. Even if you are not planning a conversion to a Unicode system, Unicode programs are preferable because they are more easily maintained and less prone to errors. Just as outdated and dangerous language constructs are declared obsolete and are no longer permitted for use in ABAP Objects, the rules for Unicode programs also offer increased security when programming, for example when working with character fields and mixed structures. This applies particularly for the storage of external data (for example using the file interface), which has been completely reviewed for use in Unicode programs. When creating a new program, SAP therefore recommends that you always identify the program as a Unicode program, and older programs can be converted to Unicode in stages.
    Regards,
    Shakir

  • The thread for good things about Premiere CC

I know that people will use these forums to communicate complaints about the new Preimere CC, or to ask questions about things that have changed and become confusing.  People who are happy with the new software, however, may not be inclined to start a new thread to say so.  So this thread is specifically for communicating things about Premiere CC that are noticablely better than in earlier versions.  I, for one, need this information as much as the criticism in making my decision about whether to upgrade or not.
    J. D.

There are lots of things to like about PPro CC. However, I do believe it's important to know of the issues that may affect your particular workflow before you update. You can look at their product page and see all the great new features in action in their tutorial videos, but only in this forum will you hear if they have issues or not. Sometimes looking at a forum like this makes you think that the program is totally screwed...but most forums can make you feel that way. My experience is a fairly positive one but with one big setback.
    LOTS TO LIKE:
If you have CS6, I think it depends on your workflow and what you use Premiere for which should determine whether it's wise for you to update at this point. You can always download the trial and see what you think. They made many awesome improvements to the editing "finesse" as they like to call it. Things like through-edits, paste attributes, easily expandable (with one scroll) and solo-able audio tracks are nice combined with bigger features like the added "looks", wider GPU support, and audio clip mixer (although, can you undo if you mess up with that mixer?). Honestly there are so many other little things they tweaked and improved that many go almost unnoticed. Long time FCP7 users like myself really enjoyed many of the updates.
    THINGS TO BE AWARE OF:
Three things however, after just one week, stand out to me as either confusing, or completely unacceptible based on my personal experience:
    1) Multicam is essentially broken. If it's important to you, I recommend you wait until it's fixed. Sure, you can do it, but be aware of the issue with re-doing any of it before you start. As people have said in previous posts, it's great that you can now stop/pause/forward/rewind without it making a cut on a timeline during a multicam edit. I also like that the audio meters now work while editing multicam. But just know there is a new bigger issue with CC Multicam that, if you are not aware of it, can set you back hours and hours:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1236698?tstart=0
    2) Be aware that Encore is not included with the new CC update. It's a bit perplexing why they did this but you can just download (or keep installed) Encore CS6 and all will be fine. Moving away from DVD/Bluray disc creation over time is fine, but cutting the ties now is makes about as much sense to me as if they only allowed Premiere editors to edit 4k footage and nothing else. Oh well, at least you can use CS6.
    3) One other post (#20) here mentioned "appearance" issues with PPro CC. I agree with his assessment but I'll take it one step futher. I think the dark background looks so cool on these programs...BUT... editing 10 hours a day 6 days a week with white letters on a dark background can start to kill my eyes so in CS6 I switched "appearances" and made it a light background. Not as cool, but it worked better for me. Problem solved! The problem with Premiere Pro CC is that, unlike in CS6, making the background lighter ONLY adjusts the background BUT the rest of the clips and markings don't adjust to make it usable. What do I mean? Try this...on CS6 go to Preferences>Appearance and make the background light. Now in your source/program monitor, mark and in and out point. Notice how the selected area is now light blue and visable against the light background. Now try that same thing in Premiere Pro CC, and you'll realize that the same selected area did not adjust to the changing of the appearance and it remains light colored and disappears into the background now. Bizzare. Small issue I guess in the grand scheme of things, but still, an important design element that became worse, not better, coming from CS6.
I'm a fan of Creative Cloud. I realize all new software will have it's bugs. But I do get nervous at the thought of this program updating often and bugs as big as the multicam bug being overlooked prior to a public release. Personally, I'd rather they wait and fix it first when it's that big.
