All urls won't start in firefox when clicking on them in thunderbird

When in Thunderbird 9.0.1, I click on a link to be opened in Firefox nothing happens. I have to copy the link location, go to Firefox and paste and go, to open the webpage.

I found a way to make it work somehow but not really fixing the error... one day when I got really pissed off because FF just won't open, I clicked the icon and killed the enter button, then multiple FF windows appeared. I tried to open it with just a single hit of the enter or double clicking but it won't work anymore, but repeatedly clicking the enter button (mine works with just 3 hits, sometimes 6) seem to open it. And until now, I have no technical explanation for this.

I have Iphoto '09, version 8.1.2 (424). I am having an identical problem. All my pictures are imported into Iphoto when I downloaded them from my camera. Until recently, I thought that the pictures were actually saved in the library. Since I need to crop my pictures for the web, and Iphoto doesn't do that, I purchased Photoshop Elements to do that. To my surprise, when I try to get a picture from Iphoto to Photoshop, it can't be done. That was when I realized, after wasting a lot of time, that the photos are not in the Iphoto library.
I started naming the pictures on Iphoto so I had a recognizable file name to open on Photoshop. Couldn't find it. I looked in the Backup folder and the Transfer software folder (I have a Nikon camera), and the names I entered in the Iphoto display, could not be found.
When I am trying to upload a photo to the web, I get the Finder folder showing with an active folder called "Photos" under "Media", which only displays Iphoto and PhotoBooth. This is a folder name that I cannot find in my HD anywhere when I look for it. If I edit a picture with Photoshop, I am not going to save it back to Iphoto (not sure whether it will work properly). How do I get my folder of edited photos to show when I want to upload a picture to the web?
Where (the name of the folder) do I find the pictures I see displayed on the Iphoto library, including any name changes, keywords added, and so on?

Firefox won't start, profile manager won't start, but firefox.exe shows in processes list (task manager)

Firefox will not start, even though it is listed in my processes in task manager. Can't get profile manager to start either.
I have tried the following to no avail:
- try to start FF in Safe Mode, doesn't load
- started Windows Vista in Safe Mode, FF still does not load
- turned off Kaspersky AV, FF still does not load
- uninstalled FF, cleaned out user/####/AppData/Mozilla/Firefox folder, as well as ProgramFiles/Mozilla/Firefox folder, and cleaned our Registry manually from all references to Firefox. Downloaded FF 3.6.3, installed. still does not load
- whatever i seem to do, does not fix the problem. When I try to start Firefox, no window appears. I can see the process starting in my task manager. I can "end process" and try to start the program again by double-clicking program icon. Process starts in task manager, but no app window appears.
I am frustrated and have just wasted 2+hours of my night trying to get this to work. Downloaded Google Chrome, unless there is a fix for FF (which I would prefer to use), i will have to switch to Chrome.
I can't pinpoint when this trouble started, but may have been after a recent Windows Update. I already did a System Restore to a restore point about 5 days ago (the oldest one available to me, and I believe that was before the FF trouble started). This has not helped either.
I have run a full virus scan with Kaspersky and a Full scan with Windows Defender. Nothing came up.
Anyone else been able to find a solution to this?

I just downloaded Firefox 31.0 from Mozilla Firefox Yahoo Edition yahoo 1.30 and links from Thunderbird no longer open in Firefox when clicked on

If I copy and paste the link from the Thundervbird email into the browse window it works fine

In dps html content, there is a url link to a pdf. When click url to load the pdf, zoom doesn't work

I'm loading a html content into a dps app.
On the html page, there is a url to a pdf file. When I click the url, the page load a pdf file.
Here is the question: Is the pdf able to zoom?
It is tricky because I can zoom the first html page but when I load a pdf file, the zoom effect is not working.
Please let me know if it is a way to make the pdf been able to zoom.

My apps don't work/after update/4th/ did up dates yesterday, now none of my apps are working. When click on them my screen blicks

When I did updates last night about videos. Now non of my apps are working. When I click on them the screen blicks on and off. Everything else see fine.

Links only work once when clicking on them

hello gurus...... please keep responses in laymans terms. I
am NEW to Dreamweaver CS3 but learning more everyday.
I am fixing pages in DW CS3 and then dragging them over old
pages in the FTP.
On my index page under one drop down column of links...the
links work great the first time I click on them, and they work fine
from everyother page, but when I return to the home (index) page
again....the drop down doesn't even show up when I hover over it.
any ideas.....again in laymans terms please..Thanks so

Your specific problem is caused by this -
You have TWO 'home' pages on the site: index.htm and
index.html. The
index.html page is the one on which the links work, and which
is served by
default by the server when you initially browse to the site.
The link on
your logo take you to the index.htm page where the menus do
NOT work
properly. Just fix that link so that it takes you to
index.html and you'll
be fine. Then delete the index.htm page from the local and
the remote site.
By the way, the method you have used for those menus is
pretty old and
tired. You'll find much better methods described here -

Firefox won.t start up browser when my meta 4 is on, even when I shut off meta4 It says firefox is still running?

In order to start browser I have to restart my computer. I need to know if there is a way to run both? I had to delete mozilla from my computer so I could run meta4. I'm using chrome now and it works with meta4 on, but I would like firefox back.

Why am i getting a shadow type display when i attempt to start up firefox after clicking on icon?

I recently deleted an older version of Firefox that my dad had been using on his user account and i noticed as he had explained to me that when i clicked on Firefox to start it up and make sure its on my computer as a second option to our primary Google chrome default browser, that it opens a shadowy transparent type page. At times seems like it wants to open then goes back to the shadowy page. I recently figured out how to get rid of a hijack homepage portal known as env9.com portal that had attached without my permission to google chrome and notice this same homepage is at the top of the shadowy transparent page when i click to open firefox. I run windows 7 and have a 64 bit version, I've read that firefox isnt all that compatible with this windows 7 version yet and produces several crashes and inconsitencies. That is unfortunate because on my laptop that ran windows 7 i used to use firefox all the time until i started having various problems with it. I figure the startup problem for firefox wouldn't continue after uninstalling older version and reinstalling this new one, but the problem persists. How do i get firefox to open properly again to a normal webpage and also once that is solved how do i terminate the v9 portal homepage from firefox?

hello, please close all open firefox windows and then press the shift key the next time you're launching firefox. a dialog should appear where you can choose to reset the browser: [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]]
afterwards please keep firefox updated - i don't know where you've read that firefox wouldn't be compatible with windows 7 64 bit. this information is false, firefox should just run fine on these systems, just as everywhere else...

You can undo a lot of changes, either via changing settings or prefs on the about:config page or via extensions.

Hi Joel,
Not really. The only time I've experienced something like
this, it has been a matter of how the content was loading. If a
main timeline has only one frame and some content is called on to
play before it has loaded, then the play command will fail. If
other code is set to work based on the success of this play, then
they will never run. When you select a menu item, you're starting a
whole new set of things running and the items that are called for
are loaded and ready to go.
Does any of that sound familiar?

Youtube won't load on firefox when just five minutes ago it did. Why is it messing up?

Just five minutes ago youtube was working just fine on firefox However now this comes up "firefox can't find the server at www.youtube.com." what the heck is going on here? It works on my explorer just fine but not on firefox. What happened?
Also, I use windows vista.

So, even though something worked five minutes ago it can not work right due to that? Somehow, I didn't have to do any of that. I don't know what it was but when I went to check one last time after posting here. The youtube page loaded. And I take care of my cookies and history about every three days. But I am glad it is working now and thank you for the help. I hope anyone else that sees this is able to be helped to.

Bridge is opening all of my RAW files as jpegs when I import them from iPhoto

I have set my iPhoto preferences to send my RAW photos as RAW when using an external editor. If I only use ACR, this works fine, but if I want to use CS4 they are all coming over as jpegs and I then have to work w them as jpegs. I have PSE 8 . Do I have to do something before I open CS4 to have them come over in RAW format?

Not Very familiar with iPhoto but I think you do confuse two approaches for
your files. If you choose to work from iPhoto it takes the originals but
when using Bridge it might be an exported version in jpeg.
If you have PSE 8 with Bridge CS4 I would suggest you make a choice in
workflow and use Bridge as starting point. You can import your Raw files in
Bridge using Photodownloader (get photo's from Camera in Bridge) preferable
use a card reader for this.
And/or copy the older original Raw files to a new folder.
You can find the originals that have been imported using iPhoto in the
picture folder/iphoto library. Click on the icon and with right mouse click
choose show package content. In this new window you will see a file called
originals with subfolders. Inhere find the ones you want and copy them to a
new folder from your choice (either in the picture folder or elsewhere, but
obvious not in the package window for iPhoto, you won't see them after you
closed the package content window...)
Choose copy because in this way your iPhoto library and folder structure
stays as it is.
Now point Bridge to the folder with this copied files and let it cache the
files first (takes some time).
With this workflow you can manage your Raw files (rate, rename, adding
metadata and keywords etc.) and develop them in ACR and PSE. If you do want
to use the album structure from iPhoto you can choose to save your developed
files either as jpeg or tiff and place them in iPhoto.
It might be a better workaround because iPhoto is not the best application
to handle and develop Raw files, you have a lot more options in Bridge and
PSE
