All websites does not load, even though internet connection is available.

I am currently experiencing a problem in using my browser. Nothing appears in the browser window or the page does not load even if I typed the website address (and any website address for that matter). And we do have an active internet connection. I hope you can help us resolve this problem. Thank you.

First of all, your Firefox version isn't the latest one (current version is 3.6.3), so a good thing to try would be getting the latest version from [http://www.getfirefox.com/ GetFirefox.com] and install that, replacing your current version 3.5.9. Here I assume that you have another working browser from which you can download the file.
This may not solve the problem (...but then again, it just might).
If it makes no difference, we have some excellent guides to help identify and solve the problem.
[[Error loading web sites]] is the best starting point and links to most of the other problem solving articles - please start out here and see if any of the articles can help you fix it.
[[Firefox cannot load websites but other programs can]] is one of the more likely problem crunching articles from your description.

I'm running v3.6.11 & am using Yahoo! Mail (sbcglobal.net). When I click on an eMail in my Inbox to load the full eMail message, the message does NOT load but the 'status' in the lower left hand corner of the webpage indicates 'Done.'
This is a similar problem to the page not loading that I've seen in the Support Forum

Before taking your last suggest I "tested" to see if the problem still existed and it has gone away.
I've not changed any settings.
(Can't remember if the problem is on my work computer or home computer. I'll test the home computer later today.)

App Store does not load & kills the internet connection

Hello I'm currently using MBP 13' 2011 v. 10.7.2.
App Store window pops up after opening, but nothing actually shows up. It shows as if it is trying to load the App Store with the spinning indicator, but the app remains empty. Not only it does not load, it also kills whatever internet connection I've attempted on Safari. YouTube videos stop loading once App Store opens, for example.

With multiple issues such as you are experiencing, use Lion Recovery

Having trouble upgrading to OS 3.* It will not download even though internet connection is good and iPod is connected to the P/C . It's a touch first generation which has basically never been set up or used.

The header pretty much says it all. I've restarted iTunes, and also the computer. It almost immediately gives me an error message that it can't download due to an unknown error.

- If you are getting the 8288 error, use the communities search box in the upper right and search for 8288. That has beeb a recent problem with the 3.1.3 update.
- If you can't get to the dright download page, try a different browser like FireFox
- If something else, please provide more information

I have been having the same issue for the last two weeks. No real indication as to why it ever began other than I had turned off my router and Airport Extreme Base Station off for a weekend while I was away from my place.
iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, all have no issues at all with my Airport Extreme Base Station. Can stay connected throughout my living room, bathroom, bedroom, no issues whatsoever.
My 5 month old MacBook Pro 2.66 GHz Core i7 Airport is sometimes perfect, able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue. Then, for no reason, I won't be able to join my wireless network, or when I can join, I can't pick up an IP address. And then it will connect, pick up and IP, and then it won't browse. No real rhyme or reason to when this will happen, or when it works.
I thought that it was an issue with my MacBook Pro, but then my sister visited with her brand new MacBook Pro 2.26 Intel Core 2 Duo, and while a month ago she was able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue, this weekend she had all of the same issues I was having.
My XBOX 360 and MacBook Pro have absolutely no issues with the wired connection. Only my WAN seems to have this issue.

Ouch, if it is indeed damaged, then sadly you need to restore the whole danged huge OS!
Didn't used to be this way before Lion/10.7.
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS.

As these are public forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support, I've asked the hosts to remove your email address from your post - it's not a good idea to post it unless you like spam email.
The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address on your account - a rescue email address is not the same as an alternate/secondary email address, they are different addresses/settings on an account.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

Windows Media Player for audio on one website does not load?

I have Firefox v8.01, Windows 7 OS. On one of my websites, the Windows Media Player does not load. The audio works on IE9 but not on Firefox. I have used the same code on other sites that work just fine in Firefox, IE and Chrome. I can't fix the problem because I don't know where the problem lies? I have disabled all my Firefox add-ons which provided no solution. The site is http://www.music.articleposts.com This is a blog site and the sound code is in a widget.

You're welcome If I may say, you have tried everything is too broad a statement when trying to get help we need to know what you have tried.
Have you tried a freshly created test account? See this doc, on how, if you haven't see this on 10.4 & Adding a new user account to your computer, this helps to show if this is a problem isolated to your username account or system wide.
Do you have the plugin components mentioned?
Are you running 3rd party Safari extending applications?
Has Flip4mac ever worked for you?
Post a Url of the video you are trying to watch, or an example of similar would help, so we may try it.
Can you view Youtube & google vids?
• If those are your correct specs you show your os is extremely behind, missing all the fixes
the subsequent os updates & security updates offer. If they are incorrect please take a sec, to correct, adding the size of drive & ram would help as well
If you update make sure to back up your personal files & data see this document on,How to back up and restore your important Mac OS X 10.3 & 10.4 files
Look at A. Brodys post on how to update properlya. Brody now that 10.4.6 is out lets review..albeit it os 10.4.6 it still applies up to 10.4.10, his is the first post, ( this was the start of the double boot after os update.)
Apologies if you already know all this I can't not know, prefer err on the side of caution.....
• Note that your problem sounds different then the original posters problem, he doesn't speak of freezing, you are running a ppc ibook he a Macbook on 10.4.10.

I have a Nokia C65, and, to this day, I am not sure what operating system does it use, how do I check?
What worries more than this is that I have configured different connections including a WAP connection - provided by my telecommunications operator - Go plc, and, a number of WLAN connections configured so that when I am at the hospital, at home, at work - usually sitting on the loo , and, at a few places where WiFi is available - I can browse, check my email and keep on working.
The problem is that I receive bills from my mobile phone operator who would have deducted data roaming charges to my account, and, I am not sure how to control the connection that the mobile phone is using when browsing the Internet. Sometimes I am prompted, but lately I am not. However, the Internet connection setting reads 'Ask first'.
Does this issue happen to anyone else, or is it just me who is weird?
By the way any idea where do I download an application which takes screenshots from my mobile phone?
Is there a PC emulator for Nokia C65?

Website does not load

Why does the URL www.courier-journal.com not load on my machine--it used to but just after I put in new RAM all I get is blank screen and "done" in the status bar. It's the only website I can't load. I get all my news from them. Help!!

X11, is a Graphical User Interface designed specifically for Unix operating systems. Depending on the version of Mac OS X 10.5 you have installed you may be able to install X11 from the installer disc which installed 10.5 on your machine, or have to go to Apple's website:

my guess is that if i were to install firefox or safari on a pc, it would probably work too. but that's my guess and i haven't actually tried that.

My Mozilla page opens, and my homepage is in the URL but the tab is titled "untitled" as if it had no destination. It does not matter where I try to go, the page never loads. There is never a "this page can not load" message on the screen. My network is connected and there is a full path to the internet. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Mozilla with no luck. help! I have one Mac, two users. I wish to share a iBook with my wife, the other user. I move a copy of the book folder to "public" folder, and in her account "added to library". Does not show even though cue claims it is in her library. No book.

I find sharing books within my one computer near impossible - not easy as music is. It used to be easier, but now with iBooks and some other changes this has become difficult. Also - I can use the search feature to find the "books" folder, and use "Get Info" to find the supposed address, and then not find that folder location at all using a manual method stepping through Finder. So a second question is: where is this file hiding? It is not under User/Library/Containers.... as claimed by "Get Info". It seems that if I buy a book, the family can use it to put on their iPad.

Part of me understands the need to have purchases protected. I hope this does not get more and more complicated for "within family use". It is nice to buy music and share it with my wife, as we used to do with books prior to the iBooks "upgrade" - which mostly consisted of making it impossible to share books. Thanks though for your response; I was hoping for some luck and that maybe I had missed some simple step. To Apple: lighten up.

FF tabbar does not appear even though the option is checked.

I just got a new hard drive and installed FF 12 and transferred my profile. My profile was from FF 11 and I just hadn't gotten around to updating. My profile and everything works fine so far, but every time I start FF the tabbar is not there. I must manually go under view and check tabbar each and every time, even though the option "always show tabbar" is checked under tools>options>tabs.
