Allign text in two images

I have two images with text that need to be aligned, see

The last letter in the left hand image, half an 'e' ,should
match perfectly
with the first other half of the 'e' in the right hand image.
I have tried pasting the images next to each other on a new
canvas, but that
makes the text dissappear, even after the png is saved.
Can someone please help me?

I'm not quite following you here. Is the text part of the
bitmap
image, or is it something you're inserting above the bitmaps?
And why
do these need to be separate images?
Try this: Insert the two background images onto the same
canvas, then
use the text tool to put the text over the background.
Maybe if you could post the .pngs and some context - the page
where
they will be used?

You can use "CanvasButtonAccordionHeader" to make custom Accordion header (HeaderRenderer) and add text/images as per your requirements.

One needs to add "flexlib.swc" to access "CanvasButtonAccordionHeader".

Text block as image -- should I care?

It was pointed out to me that most of the text on my site is an image, rather than lines of text. All of the text on my site was typed onto the site into text blocks, and none of it was cut and pasted. I did use Garamond for the font.
A few threads have covered this topic, which I have read.
Two of those blocks of text-as-image are on my home page and the text in those blocks appears in Google (on the listing of the site on the first "search result" -- or whatever it is called -- page).
Doesn't this mean that the text in those "text-as-image blocks" (sorry for all the quote marks, but I don't know the real names of these things) are indeed searchable by google, even if they are images rather than lines of text?
I have tried cutting and pasting the text into TextEdit and then repasting the text back but that didn't solve the problem.
So:
1. Does any of this really matter to the search engines and the ability of people to find text on my pages? Or for some weird reason does the home page act differently than the other pages?
2. Does anyone have a consistent solution to this problem?
3. Is this something that Apple may think significant enough to have already fixed for the next version -- which I hope is out in a couple of months?
But mainly, should I even care?

No and no. It sounds like your page is already coming up in the search results...graphic or text? It doesn't matter.

Again, I doubt that Apple sees it as a problem. iWeb converts text into an image for a reason.... your happiness. Most people would probably want to have a webpage that looks the way it is supposed to look (the way they want it to look). Most people probably don't care about text converted to image as long as it looks the way they expect it to look. This is why iWeb does the text to graphic conversion....to ensure uniform and consistent rendering of the text on the page. I think many, many more people would be upset if iWeb allowed them to put different fonts and text effects on a page and then left it up to a browser to determine how those fonts and effects were to be rendered.
But mainly, should I even care?
I think in the grand scheme of things, you shouldn't care. But that's just my humble opinion.

IO - Read two image files and put them into one file

i have 3 files in all. The two image files and one text file. I need to place the image in the first image file, followed by text in the text file and then the image in the second image file, into one file.
Can anyone tell me how do i go about doing this ?
i tried using fileinputstream and fileoutputstream, which works fine if all the 3 files have text but when the first and the third file have image, the code doesn't give any error but the result file displays only the image from the first file and nothing else.
i am running short of time and need to do this really soon.

One approach would be to programmatcally create a single zip/jar file from the three input files. You can use the java.util.zip and java.util.jar packages for this purpose.
The other apprach would be to create a single image by drawing images and text strings on a BufferedImage object.
I think the first approach is preferable because you can easily extract the individual files from the zip/jar file

when someone tried to copy a portion of the text to quote something i said, they couldn't copy text: when they tried to drag their mouse over it, it pulled the entire article as an image file. i thought it was maybe because of the background i used.

This might be true for some but not me: I have two text boxes one that shows as an Image and one that does not. They both have the exact same Web friendly font. They even have the same exact text. They both do not overlap any other images and no images overlaps them. Next I created a new box with the same text in the same place and it is now text not a picture. So to me it seemed like the box that turned the text to an image had a setting that made it do that. So I copying and pasting the box and changing the text but now the box would no longer display the font as a picture but as text. This is strange behavior. I really wouldnt be that annoyed by it but if you look at the page on a PC it looks horrible.

Two images on a page, want to number each image. How?

Page layout with two images on a page, other pages have one image. I want to have a number associated with each image. I tried page numbering to no avail. How do I have a sequence number for each image?
I further complicate this; I will make many documents, each document will have about five pages, as I progress, I want the photo numbers to function likek page numbers, across all the documents.
How do I accomplish this?

Thank you, I am closer to the solution after following your instructions. On the Master pages (Two page spread), I made a text frame adjacent to each of two frames for the images (There will be two images on each document page, thus two frames on each Master Page). They are threaded together and I verified this by View > Show Text Threads.
Since I am not getting the right result, I must have done something wrong. I made numbered List using Paragrach Styles. I could not find "text attribubutes" so I am probably not doing this right. Please note that I have spent 7 hours on this so far, so I am making an effort.
It seems reasonable that this should be done on a Master layout, is this right? So far, the text frame number flow from 1 to 4 across the the Master Page spread. Thus the first two pages are correct. However, when page is added based on the Master it repeats the same flow: 1 though 4. I expect this because that's what the Master shows, However, I want the numbers to continue as I add photos to additional pages.

Marrying text to an image in CS5

Hello all! I have Adobe Photoshop CS5 and I'm attempting to write text on an image so that it follows a particular contour. More specifically, I have an image of a hand (from the perspective of the bottom of the palm facing out across the palm towards the fingertips) and I'm trying to apply text so that it follows the contour of the bottom of the palm; so that it appears to be written across it. The closest I've come to finding help through Photoshop Help is "text wrapping," which only explains how to type text two-dimensionally so that it surrounds an image, but nothing pertaining to how I might make the text follow a particular contour ON the image.

The tip above is for 2 dimensional contours (X,Y axes). If the hand is shaded well, you might also explore displacement mapping, which can give you a 3 dimensional effect (Z axis).

Remove Text/Toggle Between Images w/Tap

I have a title page for an article comprised of a photograph with text on top of it. I want the user to be able to tap the screen to remove the text to allow them to view the photograph by itself.
Is there a way to put the text on a different layer, then make that layer disappear/reappear with a tap (like Mag+)?
I've tried a work-arounds using Image Sequence and Slide Shows of two images, one with and one without the text. By using Slide Show, I can allow the user to tap and "remove" the text by showing them the underlying image without the text, but then they are stuck on that image and unable to toggle back to image with text/title.
Anybody have any ideas how to do this?

It's simple.
Create your 2 steps MSO using the Object State panel.
When you select the MSO. The Overlay Creator panel will display the Slidshow controls.
Leave it as is!!!
Next, draw a rectangle over the MSO, select it and convert it to button (Object > Interactive > Convert to Button).
In the Buttons panel, set the button action to Go To Next State.
Now use the preview button at the bottom of the Overlay creator or Folio Builder panels to test the result.
Each tap (click) will toggle from the currently displayed state to the other, which is, if I'm not mistaken, what you asked for.

Can't join two images using imagetoimage

Hello forum users!
Well I have spent a good portion of my weekend trying to get this VI to work and I am oficially out of ideas...
I'm using DataSockets to extract images from the web and I'm trying to join these two images using the ImageToImage function of IMAQ.
The images are extracted just fine but when I try to join them all I get is the first image!!!
What am I doing wrong????
My VI is attached.
Some test considerations:
To extract the images be sure to add [text] to the end of the html line
This VI only works with http and not https (DATASOCKET limitations)

Text and solid images print as halftones

I have a Xerox phaser 3250 with PCL6 emulation. Recently, whenever I create a document in Quark and print it, my text and solid images print as halftones as opposed to solid blacks. When I try to modify the PPD or any other device option in the print window, the option buttons are dimmed. Is this an issue with my printer or my OS or my software ? thanks

How to have smooth fade effect between the two images via XML

I have my xml gallery working fine, all i need is to have a smooth fade effect between the two images, right now they are changing with a jerk. Can somebody help me getting this effect with my code. Any help is much appreciated.

I have a center of energy program similar to the one used by IMAQ. I have attached an example using your data. I first found the center of the entire image. Then I split the array in two and found the centers of each half. That gives you the position of the two spots. This program won't work if the spots are too close to each other or are separeted in the other axis.

Merging two images....

Here's one for you guys....
I have a bunch on JPG images (50+) that I've taken that I want to add a "copyright" to.
I use photoshop, and the copyright is just text created in PS and saved as a PS file (IIRC I'm at work ATM).
What I would like to know is....
Can you merge the two images putting the copyright in a set location over the JPG and saving the file. (and then deleting the original).
Is photoshop the best thing to use is possibly another question.....

Automator is not the answer. You need an image editor like Adobe Photoshop Elements or maybe GraphicConverter
It would also help if you gave a bit more detail-preferably in a new thread-of exactly what you were trying to do and why you cannot do it.

If you previously had iWork '09, those apps are still in your Applications folder in a folder named iWork '09. You can continue to use them to get things done.
