Allocated Ringtones not working

Hi all,
I have several ringtones I have allocated to different contacts but when the phone rings it is always the default ringtone, not the one I picked
Any ideas?
Thanks
B

I believe this is a known issue with Apple.
One thing to take a look at, and this isn't my observation but another poster's, is what initially comes up when someone calls you. Sometimes what can happen is that when you first receive the call, it comes up as "Unknown" and then quickly switches over to your contact. So if the phone doesn't recognize the caller until it's too late, it'll play the default ringtone.
EDIT: Ahh, here's that thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1505987&tstart=25

Hello SD gurus,  Would you please help me to resolve this issue?
I followed and configured all the required steps for product allocation  in ECC 6.0 Version still  the product allocation is not working as expected.
    Here are the steps performed
    1. Created procedure through OV1Z
    Maintained Product allocation procedureT.code OV1Z
    2.  Maintain product allocation object Transaction code: OV2Z
    3.   Create required info structure as per requirement T.code MC21
    4. Specify Hierarchy and Define the “Product allocation planning structure”
    Transaction code: OV3Z
    5.Define Consumption periods
    6. Control product allocation

Selected the product allocation procedure and given the required criteria and assigned to Info. Structure S991. Activated ‘Requirement category’ for product allocation

    Activate the update
    T.code OMO1
    Create planning Hierarchy
    T.code: MC61/62
    Maintain planning type
    . T.Code: MC8A/B
Created the product allocation plan for required quantity  through MC94 IN spite of reserving stock as shown against the product allocation material specific and customer specific product allocation is not  worked and the regular Atp check allocated stock to some other customer when created  SO.

    Hi Sumitra,
Thanks a lot for your quick response!
Actually to say availability check is working but not product allocation.
I checked the settings in Material master MRP 3 view for strategy group  and it is 40.
Availability check is 02 assigned. OVZ9 settings are assigned correctly 02-A- SD Order.
Not knowing what is preventing to reserve the stock against product allocation!
Do you or any one know where to see the product allocation stock?
Best Regards& Thanks a lot for your help!

  • For incoming calls ringtone not working

My incoming calls are only identifiable with display to ANSWER or DECLINE.   I. Can get vibrate to work  but ringtones not working.  I am missing many calls
because of no ring.  I did shut down my Bluetooth earpiece so unsure what happened.

These are a couple of articles that might help.

Try a reset first then if that does not work, you might want to restore.

  • Mp3 songs and ringtones not working

    Hi all,
Just had a quick question. For some reason when I try to play ringtones and music on my blackberry 8100 it says unable to display file. When I set it as a ringtone it works but I cannot play any music as mp3 or open up pictures to view slideshows. When I first got the phone it was working but then all of a sudden it stopped. I'm not sure if I disabled something because I really cannot figure this out. Just wondering if you had any ideas or if anyone experienced this problem.
    Thank you!

    bump...can anyone help me?

  • Assigned ringtones not working

I have a 3gs (AT&T).  Assigning a specific ringtone (whether custom or default with the phone) does not work.  I have created a custom ringtone and can choose is as the default for all calls and it works fine as do any of the ringtones listed under sounds.  I just cannot successfully assign a specific ringtone to a specific contact.  Have reset; checked for duplicates; scoured the internet and found nothing that works.  The phone software is current.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've gone in and re-assigned the ringtones, but it still isn't working.  Please if you know what to do, help me fix this!  Thanks!
I found that the Task Manager by Rhythm Software was responsible for causing this problem.  I removed the Task Manager and restarted my phone, and now I do not have a problem with assigned ringtones.

  • Ringtone not working

On my new Iphone 4S my custom ringtones will not work when assigned to a contact, the ring always rings through to the Marimba default ringtone.

Any luck? I have the same problem.
Apple please find what is wrong. I've read the whole Internet space without any solution

  • Custok ringtone not working - N9

<body><p>I have a lot of mp3 ringtones, that work properly if I set it as the main ringtone (change Nokia Tune), but if I would like to set a custom ringtone to a contact, I can choose the song, but after I save it and I have a call from that contact, the phone rejected the call!<p><br><p>Any suggestions?

You may have a different problem than that of our friend here: it's probably a speck of dust or a piece of lint caught in the jack hole on the top part of your iPhone. Try this (and I'm not kidding, it's worked for me several times): bring the jack hole of your iPhone to your lips, and suck air through it. Do it several times, until you feel a little something hitting your tongue or the back of your mouth.
I know it sounds crazy, but I've had this same problem repeatedly since I got my iPhone in January; I'd keep my phone in my trousers pocket, and some tiny piece of lint would get caught in the jack hole, creating a false contact there and leading the phone to "think" that earphones were plugged in, hence no ringtone, nor music going through the external speaker. I read about this hint somewhere, and tried it just prior to bringing the phone back to the nearest Apple Store, and it worked. Now, every time my phone goes mute for no obvious reason, I suck air through the jack hole, and sure enough, it finds its voice back...

  • Component Allocation LSMW not working for materials having alternative BOMs

    Hi Experts,
I have a requirement in Component allocation LSMW.
Component Allocation LSMW was created using a material which do not have an alternative BOM and the LSMW NOT working for materials having alternative BOMs. Currently iam using Batch Input Recording method in LSMW.Can any one suggest me is it possible by recording method in Lsmw. Because in transaction CA02 when we click the CompAlloc button in application tool bar we get a pop up screen with alternative BOM's, we have to choose any of them. If we choose any of the alternatie BOM in the pop up screen then it will be fixed always, but depending upon my flat file value of alternate BOM i need to pick the value. It is not static.
Can any one suggest me is there any BAPI for this requirement.
Your hel will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Venkat.

Use BDC instead of LSMW, that will solve your problem.

I had the same problem.  I even returned my phone and got a new one because we thought it was the phone.  VZW even placed a call to HTC with me on the line, and they had not heard of the issue either and suggested either repairing or replacing the phone.
What it turned out to be was an app killer I had installed on the phone.  I forget which one, but its icon is the little green android figure with the red X next to it.  Once I uninstalled the app killer, removed the battery from my phone and then rebooted it, I have had no further problems with my ring tones not working.
In the end, I bought the extended battery (3150) from www.seidioonline.com and now do not even need an app killer.
    Hope this helps ...

  • Ringtone problem, assigned ringtones not working

I realized that the phone would not ring assigned ringtones. I made numerous phone calls to tech support and spent hours with them troubleshooting this problem. We tried everything
When your ATT account has caller ID block, in order to unblock the number so people can see your phone number you have to enter *82 in front of the phone number in contacts. In one of the first conversations I had with tech support I believe I mentioned this and was told that it should not cause a problem.
_**It does,_ if there is anything at all besides the phone number under the contact the phone will not recognize that the number has an assigned ring tone.
Also if you have the same number in contacts twice for any reason, (maybe a contact and under favorites) you have to delete the duplicate or assign the desired ringtone to all contacts. Otherwise the phone will ring the default ringtone, not the one you assigned.
I hope this helps someone not to have to spend hours workig on this problem

    Hey there Taralynn7,
It sounds like you have assigned ringtones to some of your contacts, but the customized tones aren't playing, and instead you get a default ring when they contact you. Any number of things can cause that issue, so I would recommend starting by quitting all the open apps on your phone, and then restarting it:
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • Ringtones not working - Incoming call is alerted by only vibration

Is anyone else having a problem where the ringtones packed with the Iphone just won't work? When I receive calls, the only notification I get is vibration. The tones worked on the first day but have ceased to work. I've restarted the phone several times, used different ringtones, and experimented with settings- to no avail.
Any advice or similar experiences would be helpful.

I had this very same problem the day after I bought my iPhone. I tried every combination of on and off in the settings menu. Yes...I checked and rechecked the red mute switch. Nothing worked.
I took it to the apple store where I bought it, and even the genius could not get it to work.
The store manager promptly swapped out my phone with a new one.

  • Ringtones not working after update

Since the update, it wont let me put ringtones on my phone. If i try to it wants to delete all my music off my phone. Ringtones show up in my apps and on my side bar under my phone but not on my device! Even my ringtones I have bought from Itunes wont even show up. Can anyone help?

definately error 0013 and not 1013?
If 1013, I copied this from another thread, it worked a treat for me yesterday when I kept getting error 1013
More complete solution for those not knowing where to find the file:
    On Mac:
    * Open Finder
    * Hold down COMMAND + SHIFT keys and press 'G'
    * Enter "/private/etc/" in the field and press "Go"
    * Find "hosts" file in the directory
    * Drag the file to your desktop
    * Open it in text editor
    * Remove the line that has gs.apple.com entirely or put a # at the beginning of it to comment it out
    * Save the file
    * Drag it back to the /private/etc/ folder.
    * You'd need to enter your username and password to authenticate the move
    On Windows:
    * Locate the hosts file in one of the following directories:
    Windows 95/98/Me c:\windows\hosts
    Windows NT/2000/XP Pro c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
    Windows XP, Vista, 7 c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
    * Right click and click on "Open With..." and then click on "Notepad" on the list.
    * Remove the line that has gs.apple.com completely and save the file.
    This should work fine.

  • Ringtones not working! Worked before, suddenly won't...

    Hello,
First let me say I am not a newbie - have used Macs for years, have used iTunes for years, have had my iPhone since they came out. I have used the Ringtone feature several times with no problem. However, starting last night and all weekend I have been unable to make a ringtone. I have tried multiple songs multiple times. Here is what happens:
I go to my purchased folder, and select a song with the ringtone symbol, right click and select Create Ringtone. I select the portion of the song I want to use, and click Buy. I login (if not already) for payment, and the top status bar changes to "Purchasing...(something like this)." This lasts 1-2 seconds, then nothing happens. If I click buy again, the buttons become disabled for 1 second or so, then are enabled again. I can click my Ringtones folder, and only the previously created ringtones are there - not the one I just made!
this is driving me nuts...I know what I am doing and something simply isn't working. I have tried with and without iPhone connected to computer....I know that probably wouldn't affect it, but I'm desperate!
If anyone is experiencing this or has any ideas to try, please let me know. Thanks so much.

Samething is going on with me too. I've tried restarting my computer and itunes, tried using the different logins I've had over the years, ... each time the same thing happens that you described.
Please let me know if you figure it out...

  • LG enV 3 ringtones not working?

Just wondering if any one knows why my ringtones don't work on this phone. I downloaded them from verizon, but when I look at my ringtone list, they are
marked yellow, not green and I am unable to get them to work.

You have to call Warranty Center on your phone. The number is 1 800 406 5154. You will have to choose what you want when the recording tells you what your options are. Once you are talking to a Verizon Helper you just tell them that your ringtone that you purchased didnt show up and they will get it on there for you. I hope this helps you and if not text me at 706 457 1477 and I will try to help you with what I can.

  • Contact ringtone not working.

I have set different ringtones for some of my regular contacts. But somehow, the global/default ringtone always rings when those contacts call me.
Any idea why this happens and how this can be rectified?

If the calling party supresses its phone number, the phone will not recognize them.
If they dont suppress - then it should work and I cant be of any help
