Allocation in ECC6.0 NewGL
In NewGL, release ECC6.0, I'm trying to understand if I can define a Statistical Key Figure for more dimensions (standard or custom fileds) and how (Report Painter?)?
Let me know. Thanks.
Hi
You can define custom fields in New GL in ECC 6.0 instead of SKF for dimensions other than profit center, segment, business area, plant etc., and you can use the same in report painter also.
You can check up in the following config:-
Financial Accounting (New)->Financial Accounting Global Settings (New)->Ledgers->Fields

We are in BPC7NW and need to extract the data for consolidaiton purposes.extracting the data from ECC6(NEWGL).
For the best data source to extract the consolidation data?
Has anyone been implementing the consolidation in BPC7NW?
Please share your thoughts and experience? You should check out the [EPM How-to Guides|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BPX/EnterprisePerformanceManagement%28EPM%29How-to+Guides].

Internal Table Memory Allocation
Hello all,
I could understand the difference between Internal Table with occurs 0 and internal table with type declaration...
correct me if i am wrong, occurs 0 declaration occupies 8kb memory and header line 256 bytes...
But what i could not get is...
Where can i view this internal table runtime memory usage?? Should i have to check that in some transaction???
If that is the case, what transaction i should look at?? Can i view this in debugging mode??? I tried GOTO -> STATUS DISPLAY -> MEMORY USE and i have tried even SETTINGS -> MEMORY MONITORING ->MEMORY DISPLAY ON...Nothing worked..
when i go for GOTO -> STATUS DISPLAY -> MEMORY USE in debugging
memory allocated seems to be same for Internal table with occur 0 and Internal table with type declaration
I have searched a lot about this in SDN....But could not come to a conclusion......
I don't have authorisation here for DBG_MEMORY_DIFFTOOL or S_MEMORY_INSPECTOR unfortunately.....
Waiting for your replies....Hi Jagannathan,
You can view this on Debugger(ECC6.0) onwards.
To find out how much memory internal tables occupy, choose Goto --> Display Condition --> Memory Usage.
Choose Change Settings to display a window, in which you can choose the Internal Tables button.
Hope this will assists you for your quest.

Upload Customer Remittance Advice to SAP for auto allocation to invoices
Hi,
Here's the story, we receive excel files from customers that are rather large and I was hoping I could get a proposal together with information on how we can automate the allocation of payments to customer debtor account.
I do not have access to any SAP sites and our IT department is giving me the run around, so I have turned to all of you for some help.
Please remember that I am in the receivables are and all remittances (spreadsheets) get sent to us straight from the customer via e-mail never from the bank.
I am hoping this is enough info for you guys?!?!?
Let me know if you need to know anything else.
Oh and we are working with ECC6.
Thanks
BelindaThere are a couple of options 1) You could implement the SAP lockbox functionality. This is a standard approach and offers automated file upload functions. 2) You could create a custom upload function. I always try to use standard SAP before I try custom. You could basically have a program developed that would take a excel spreadsheet in your company layout and have that uploaded into the system. The customer could send them in your format or you copy paste it to your formated spreadsheet. This is done all the time.
pls assign points to say thanks. -
Cross Docking Process Flow - ECC6.0
Hi,

Post Goods Issue postedHello,
For Oppertunistic Cross dock..
You need to create either Putaway TO/Pick TO and then system checks the cross doc and cancel the TO and create a new TO from 902 to 916. and also updates in the document flow. This you can do with out Cross dock monitor. With out planning the cross dock you can do the cross docking by following the config in help.sap.com.
for more information about the complete config you need to see the sap link below. sure it will help you.

Regards,Hi Nadeem
Save your init<SID>.ora.
You can try to set processes and sessions parameters in the init<sid>.ora to the following value :
processes = 800
sessions =1600
- Stop your instance
- Stop your DB
- Recreate the spfile
- Start your DB
- Start your instance
If the issue does not solve the problem, you return back.
Otherwise, when you start your instance is that the processes dw.sap <SID> _DVEBMGSXX starts then dies or they do not start?
Best regards. -
Material ledger:'not allocated' variance
Dear all,
For raw material A, it issued to certain production order(say FG is B) in Apr. at the month end, I found that there are some variance(not distributed) in material A due to there is no goods receipt for production order. in May. I performed GR for B, then calculate WIP/variance and perform settlement. after that, I run CKMLCP for ML closing.
However, system can not distribute the variance which occurred in the previous month to B, this means this variance will keep in the variance account forever, and the actual cost of B is wrong.
I do not know whether this is standard SAP, our version is ECC6.0.
Is there anyone know why and how it come and settle it ?
thanks very muchDear Jin Ming Zhang,
Please, check the note 908776 which explains the possible reasons for 'not distributed' and 'not allocated' price differences.
There is no automatic procedure, but CKMVFM is a valuable tool to analyse the reason for the differences and distribute/include them.
Best regards,
Antje -
Actual Distribution FAGLGA31 (ECC6.0)
Hi All,
During creation of distribution cycle using tcode: FAGLGA31 - Create, I faced problem of having valid sender, ie: cost center in the segment creation.
In my sender/receiver tab, I can have
Senders as follows:
Account number
Business Area
Functional Area
Profit Center
Currency
Receiver:
Business Area
Functional Area
Profit Center
Question:
Why I cannot have cost center as sender and receiver?
Does anyone know any ECC6.0 (NEW GL) settings that were missed out?
Thanks.
sbmelHi ...
I tried to run the Actual distribution cycle FAGLGA35, and I have the follow error:
general messages for cycle 0LFBCA001 01.01.2010 ***********
Cycle 0LFBCA001, start date 20100101, does not include any senders.
General messages for segment FBCA001 ***********************
No valid sender entries were found.
Does anyone have any idea on this?
Extended error message:
==========
Cycle 0LFBCA001, start date 20100101, does not include any senders.
Message no. GA749
Diagnosis
No senders were found for cycle 0LFBCA001, starting date 20100101.
System Response
It is no longer possible to create receivers and assign senders for the segment.
Procedure
Check the definition of the cycle in the maintenance transaction for Actual Distribution: General Ledger. No valid sender cost centers could be found to match your selection.
If you use the sender rules "Posted amounts" or "Posted quantities", check whether records exist in the database for the criteria you entered (cost element, version...)
During indirect activity allocation with the sender rule "posted quantities", you should also note that only the difference between the planned/posted activity allocation and the scheduled activity quantity is allocated. If you entered activity types as sender, you should at this point also check the activity type category. For those quantities posted with an activity type of category 1 (manual entry, manual allocation) no indirect activity allocation is possible.
1. If this is an allocation in the FI/FI-SL area, the problem could also be due to the inheritance logic for FI-SL totals tables, whose "Inheritance of sender based on the receiver" indicator is activated in the "Partner object update" view (T811U-INHERSRC). These are tables that were installed before Release 4.6A.
Use transaction GCA8 to check this, and see the section on:
Inheritance Logic for Allocations
then correct the affected cycle, if required.

Memory allocation much more than size of table TST03
Hi all,
I found a strange situation, in our system, memory allocation in SP12 shows 2GB is used in DB side, but when I go to transaction DB02 to check the table TST03, it only has 50MB. Our parameter rspo/store_location is already set to 'db'.
System environment is: ECC6 running on AIX 53/Oracle 10g, 64bit.
In my opinion, temse data will be stored in TST03, so I think TST03 size should be larger than memory allocation result in SP12.
Could you please help me about this?
Thanks and regardsHi Justin
Nice question, really made me think. I just checked, in the newer SAP versions, TST03 has a BLOB column, in the older versions there was a LONG RAW col.
I bet you have the BLOB (ECC6), you can check in sqlplus:
SQL> desc sapsr3.tst03
Name Null? Type
DCLIENT NOT NULL VARCHAR2(9)
DNAME NOT NULL VARCHAR2(60)
DPART NOT NULL NUMBER(5)
DROWNO NOT NULL NUMBER(10)
DDATALEN NOT NULL NUMBER(5)
DCONTENT BLOB
A lob column is stored in a seperate segment:
SQL> select SEGMENT_NAME from dba_lobs where table_name = 'TST03';
SEGMENT_NAME
SYS_LOB0000031954C00006$$
Just replace your segment_name to get the size, you can enter the segment in DB02 too:
SQL> select BYTES/1024/1024 "SIZE_MB" from dba_segments where segment_name = 'SYS_LOB0000031954C00006$$';
SIZE_MB
12
Custom field in Total table in NewGL
In NewGL - ECC6.0, what happens if add a new custom field but I don't insert it in Total table (FAGFLEXT)?
Let me know
ThanksHi all
But I think there's NO option to have additional fields only in FAGLFLEXA. At least no such option available using the standard tool - i.e. FAGL_GINS.
Please be aware of the data volume in FAGLFLEXT/A by adding new fields.
