Allocation of multiple expenses in various 100% proportions

With reference to Message 843069, we would like to suggest improvement to enable multiple allocation of expenses to respective departmental segments using a single Posting Template when each expense is allocated in various proportions of 100% among its Departments.
Example
Allocation of Stationery expense (1000 00) to its Department (1000 01) 1
and (1000 02) 2 at 50% each and allocation of Postage expense (2000 00)
to its Department (2000 01) 1 at 60% and (2000 02) 2 at 40%.
We need these allocations to be saved in a single Posting Template to
create a single Journal Entry at one goal.

I am much more familiar with reclassifications than allocations, but am certain the results from either can usually be obtained.
A method layout with trigger of items X,Y and Z, then different source and target is necessary. Then the specifics may be defined as needed.
It is most likely 2 allocations or reclassifications are needed because for group level allocations or reclassifications it is necessary to use posting level 30 document.

    If you are using multiple queries then how are you designing the final web template, I meant are you doing data binding for queries with web tempaltes and then insert all the templates in to a main template?
    or are you just using multiple table web items and using a single template for all the queries?
    If you have Javascript then try using multiple templates for multiple queries and write the javascript for the related template and then put all in a main template.

  • Grouping the same Resources Names and summarizing % Allocation from multiple files in one master file

    We are reviewing resource % allocation from multiple project files at once in a 'master' project file (via the Insert -> Project function). Each resource has the same name in each of the respective 'sub-files', and so we created a group in the master
    to group by name.
    When we apply the group to the resource usage view, the hours summarize correctly for 'Work', but when switching to % allocation to make things easier, the 'Summary' line doesn't sum the individual lines below it:

    I don't have Project open at the moment but a couple of thoughts come to mind. First of all it sounds like you are creating a dynamic master without a resource pool. In that configuration, your resources will show separately for each subproject. If you instead
    create a static master (i.e. uncheck the Link to Project option in the lower right corner of the Insert Project window when you build the master), identical resources in each subproject will automatically be combined into a single resource in the new master.
    Then you won't need to use grouping to see the data you want. Another advantage of creating a static master is that it will not be prone to file corruption like a dynamic master. The disadvantage of a static master is that it is a snapshot in time of the subprojects
    and there will be no dynamic interaction between the static master and the subproject files. You will need to build a new static master each time you want to update the combined data for all subprojects. This however is a pretty easy process and you can record
    a macro while doing it the first time such that it be even easier thereafter.
    Another approach is to create a resource pool file. That consolidates all resources into a single resource only file and should also eliminate the need to use grouping to get the data you want. And with a resource pool, you won't necessarily need to create
    a master since the pool file will contain the resource data you want. Use of a resource pool is however also a linked structure like a dynamic master and is therefore also prone to file corruption.

    As you are aware that you can able to manually change the FX rate per expense item. But if you require to change the FX rate for entire or most of the expense items then it is recommended that you maintain/update the exchange rate globally i.e., in the Travel Admin work center > Update exchange rates.

    In product costing, are the coporate expenses are allocted to production cost centres? is it proper or not?

    Just a correction to what the other folk has said.  It is not dependant of the companys view but it is depending on whether a particular activity is either directly or indirectly helping in manufacturing the product or not.
    For example purchased a patent right by Corporate and this expenses will be amortized at Corporate over a period of time.
    Now this expenses is having direct impact on the manufacture of the product.  Without that patent right you cannot manucature it.  so this type of expenses can be allocated to product cost.
    So allocation of Corporate expenses to Product Cost Center is completely be decided on case to case basis depending on the Merits.

    I'm new here and that's my first topic in this forum, so I would be very glad if someone could help me on my problem.
    I'm currently in the process to open my own business. Next week I should get access to my new email account (with my own domain). However, I have already ca. 300 emails on my private email account which are related to my new company, which I have to forward to my new email address.
    Question: *How can i forward multiple (or selected) emails to a single address without packaging them into one email* (1st problem: this email would become too large and 2nd: it wouldn't be very useful to search for a particular content in only 1 large, single email). How do I have to use the Automator to automatize that process?

  • Work allocation to multiple machines

    I have maintained Master Data for material and work center.
    When I create a production order for for material system allocates it only to only one work center.
    Cycle time is say 1 hour (60 minutes)
    shift time is 480 minutes (workable time) (one shift)
    I have maintained individual capacities 5 machines in workcenter capacity data
    so actual available time is 480 x 5 = 2400 min.
    prd order qty is 100
    I want system to allocate work to all 5 machines so that the processing is finished in 2.5 days
    but as per currant setting system is allocationg to only one machine and system shows it will take 12.5 days for processing.
    please provide a solution.

    it is simple.
    Your capacity is 8hrs a day and 5 m/cs
    Capacity per day is = 40hrs
    To get 1 product form a m/c it will take 1hr.
    Hence for 100 qty, it will take 12.5hrs in normal case, if you go for parallel sequence, then it will take 2.5hrs.
    Hence you are actually looking for parallel sequence so that m/cs can be processed paralalelly.
    In this case you have advatage of confirming the qty m/c wise.
    One moer option is make 5 splits in routing, this also will give he same result. In operation overview in splitting sub screen,
    activate required spliting
    No of splits = 5.

  • Multiple selection of various levels of hierarchy

    I have a 5-level hierarchy, but I think the question can be asked thinking of just a two level hierarchy:  Suppose we have Continent and Country, and I want to select North America and Europe.  The country field should filter down to show only countries in North America and Europe.  I then want to select Spain and France as my European countries, and will let North America stand as having selected all countries in North America.  Is it possible to do this in business objects?

    Steps to make multiple rows selectable in table:
    1) Create the selection property of the node that you are binding to the table as o..n
    2) Un-check the, "Initialization Lead Selection" checkbox for the node which you are using to bind to the table
    3) In the Layout go to the table & specify selection mode as MULTI_NO_LEAD. It is important that you set the selection mode to MULTI_NO_LEAD or else in the end you would be capturing 1 row lesser than the total number of rows the user has selected. This is because 1 of the rows would have the LeadSelection property & our logic wouldn't be reading the data for that row. Check the example code fragment as shown below:
    Steps to get the multiple rows selected by the user:
    In order to get the multiple rows which were selected by the user you will just have to call the get_selected_elements method of if_wd_context_node.  First get the reference of the node which you have used to bind to the table & then call this method on it. Check the example code fragment below:

  • Multiple Instances of Various Adobe Products

    I have noticed that I have multiple installs of several adobe products, CC and CC2014.  I attempted to uninstall the CC version of Acrobat but apparently it uniinstalled both versions and now I have to go back and reinstall the CC2014 version.  My hard drive is quickly filling up and I really need the space that eliminating one version would give me, but don't want to have to uninstall then reinstall every program this is showing up for, when the version I want is already there.
    Is there an easy way to fix this? or am I stuck with having to go through this long process?

    As I stated, I tried to do this (let me clarify that I am using windows 8.1) and when I uninstalled the older CC version, both versions uninstalled.  This happened across the board with everything I tried, Acrobat, Muse and Dreamweaver.  I still have photoshop, illustrator and premier pro that I didn't mess with simply because they are programs that I currently need for the classes I'm taking and didn't want to risk anything at this point.

    I'm trying to create a program that allows you to add/delete devices by using a customized run-time menu. For example if I need to control 3 power supplies, I want to be able to go to Instruments->>Power Supply and enter 3. When I do that, I want to see 3 windows appear so that I can configure each power supply differently. However, I need the execution to not take much processing speed because I still need to acquire signals that are time dependant. I'm using LabVIEW 7, any suggestions? I saw some posts on VI servers, would that be the long term solution? Also, this is going to grow into a bigger program where I should be able to add other devices and have them run simultinously. Should I switch from LabVIEW to something else?

    You can use LabVIEW’s VI Server functionality to dynamically load and run different instrument control VIs as you need them. Dynamically launching VIs will not load the VI into memory until they are called and can save program space and memory usage. I have attached an example program below that demonstrates how to dynamically launch and run VIs using VI Server. A top-level “loader.vi” uses VI Server to load and run three different VIs.
    Also, in case you will need to load and run the same VI for different instruments, I would suggest you use VI templates instead of VIs. This will cause a new VI instance to be created every time the VI template is called. Therefore, you can have multiple separate instances of the same VI when dynamically launch a VI template. There is a good KB discussing how this done.

  • Stocking multiple items on various pallets qty(not really Units of Measure)

    I have a customer who produces items in boxes. The boxes are what the items are stocked in.
    During production the boxes are packed on pallets; some pallets hold 32 boxes, the other pallets hold 48.
    The customer doesn't want to have two different stock items.
    The problem is that for some of their customers they need to send them the large pallets and for others they need to send the smaller pallets.
    Everything is batched tracked, so I was thinking of using an attribute on the batch.
    Perhaps the up coming multi UoM would work, or would I be better off with a warehouse module?
    Any ideas anyone?

    For easier control, adding itemcode is the best way because they are physically in different pallet, right?
    However, if your customer insist one item only, you may need a UDT to hold all BP with related pallet size. In this way, you can assign the right pallet to the right BP through FMS.
