Allow other people to upload photos via photostream

How can i allow other people to upload photos via shared photostream?

You can't.  They can only create their own shared photostreams.

  • Is it possible to allow other people to upload pictures?

I am very new at this. Is there anyway for other people (guests) to upload pictures onto my website? Even if it just on a blog page that I set up?
Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

No. Why would you want this?
All images have to be resized for the web anyway.

Help! I used to upload photos via ios and it was always published up to my 5th photos, but on the 6th, it just go to ios photos album and was not published on my fb's timeline...

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • Does setting up a personal hot spot allow other people to use up your cellular data

by setting up your own personal hot spot does it allow other people to use up you cellular data?

Basically yes.  Personal Hotspot means you are sharing out your Cellular Data connection.
If you give the Hotspot password to someone they will use your Cellular data to access the internet.

  • IPhone 4S no longer uploading photos to photostream or music to laptop ??

My iPhone 4S has stopped uploading music and photos to my laptop having previously done this OK via iCloud.  I have reset at iCloud.com and also disabled and re-enabled on my phone (which deleted all the photos in Photostream).  Any ideas anyone please?

Your Stuff > Preferences > Email Preferences > Set all to No.
You may have been subscribed to any individual threads you have already posted to. These can be disabled with an option in each thread.

  • Cant upload photos off photostream to photos folder

I am trying to upload some photos from my photostream (ipad) onto my Mac photo file.   Wont allow me to save the photos to my ipad photo file for transfer and doesnt show up on the Mac photostream.

    Hi (no you are not!),
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
Are you using iPhoto or Aperture to organize your photos on the Mac?   The first step is to make sure Photo Stream is turned on in the application so that you can see the recent pictures you've taken on your iPad.   I'll include some information below on how to do that.
    iCloud: Set up Photo Stream
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2605
Also, a good backup strategy that I use often is to periodically import the pictures from my iPhone and iPad directly into my computer.   This article will explain how to do it.
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer

I hope this information helps ....
    Have a great day!

  • Easiest Way To Upload Photos Via iPhone?

I would like to be able to upload photos almost immediately after taking them with my iPhone.
But am wondering what is the best solution.
Say I'm posting a bulletin on MySpace titled "A Great Day at The Beach" and just took a picture of my friends around a fire-pit and want to include that photo.
(This wouldn't be the only scenario of course)
But your thoughts and suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you.

    Thanks for the reply.
I managed to save the photobucket uploader email to my contacts on my iPhone for easy uploading which is really a easy to use. However, even with those uploaded photos I can't manage to upload to them a bulletin or anywhere else unless its a "Comment" since MySpace has an integrated "Add Photo From Photobucket" button when writing comments. An okay feature but not one I've really used or plan on using.
What you mentioned, about Facebook allowing cell phone uploads to a direct album seems like a great feature. Plus Facebook having a home page made just for the iPhone gives a more tempting reason to switch to Facebook. I'm highly considering it now, though most if not all my friends are on MySpace.

  • Unable to upload photos from photostream to FB

this has never worked right for me, but since the icloud update, my work around is no longer working. When I go to upload a photostream photo to my FB page, I can not select it.
The photo is there, in photostream, but now, after the update and the new way the pics are organized, they no longer are named (albeit automatically)
I used to be able to type the name in the file name blank and then it would let me select it
I am using google chrome, and I have tried safari also with same results
Windows 7, all latest updates on all aforementioned software
    anyone else?
My new work around is using snip-it tool and saving it to desktop but ***???

    You're welcome.
It is needed by the FaceBook app in order to upload photos with the app. You need it on for the apps that require location services in order to use the app or to use the location services function included with the app. You don't necessarily need it on for every app - that is up to you.
The arrow in the menu bar means location services is being actively used by an app.
The arrow next to an app at Settings > Location Services means the app has requested your location within the last 24 hours.

  • HT201317 is there a way to upload photos from photostream to iPhoto?

My iphone died- had to replace it, and hadn't uploaded photos. They are on my ipad's photostream, but they aren't seen by iPhoto. Is there a way to force upload?

If any of the photo stream photos are over 30 days old, they are no longer in your photo stream, which would explain why iPhoto can't see them.  (After photo strem 30 days photos are deleted from your photo stream but not from any device that already has them, which is why they may still be on your iPad but not be in your photo stream.)
You could still save the photo stream photos to your camer roll (open your photo stream album on your iPhone in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos to select them, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll), then import them to iPhoto (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) and sync them to your replacement phone by selecting them on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.  Another option is to use an app like PhotoSync to wirelessly transfer photos from your iPad's photo stream folder to your computer and/or your replacement phone.

  • HT201317 Unable to see uploaded photos on photostream

I have set up my iPad 2 and my PC desktop. I manually uploaded photo to photo stream, but am unable to see photo from iPad.  Any ideas?

Great tips, all, 99jon, @dj_paige, and @JimHess. Appreciate the help. Ran through each of these steps, which I should have mentioned. Here are a couple of notes:
Not a smart collection. Just a simple collection that I created and added photos into.
None of the images have been moved. Is there a way to see where the source images are stored? I backed up the images on an external so it crossed my mind that somehow the collection is referenced externally...but I'm not sure how I can even see where the collection itself is stored.
Toggled on/off both the No Filters and Filters Off features. There are definitely no filters on...
    Thanks again.

  • Unable to Upload Photos to Photostream via Proxy

    Hi
One of our users advised that when publishing photos from my library to photostream they will not upload.
We have proxy configured and established that when turning this off the photos then upload.
Therefore there is a configuration in our proxy that is not configured correctly.
Is there a number of apple.com address's that should be configured on our proxy server to enable the upload to work correctly? If so is there a live list of these anywhere?
    Thanks

apple's addresses would be resolved by good DNS server, try to see if that is fixed by changing DNS on one of the phones to Google (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4)
I would more likely be looking at blocked port numbers and that is where I would start if Google dns will not help.
Well known TCP and UDP ports used by Apple software products

  • Allow others to order iPhoto calendar via Apple Photos Services (or other)

I thought I saw this option somewhere, but I have an iPhoto calendar that I've printed through Apple Photo Services for myself. I now want to make that cal available for others to print without having to be involved in placing the order for them. Is that possible? Ideally, they would not even need a .mac account, but could order as a guest. If Apple does not offer this service, does anyone know of a short-run printer that will take the PDF and make a cal of it? Fed Ex/Kinko's does not have a lot of info on their site for that kind of thing. I will call them shortly.
    Thanks.

Thanks Terence. I assume the file is stored on the Apple server for 4 weeks (in which time it is removed), so I'm unclear why they can't assign it a unique number and allow me to send that number to my mom who can use it to order the cal. That does not seem impossible to me and could help Apple make more money on prints.

  • How do I allow another User to upload photos to iPhoto?

I have a new MacBook and I set it up so that my wife and I have different user accounts and use Fast Switching. Here is what I would like to do but I am having difficulty with it. I am the administrator for the machine. I set sharing to on and put the iPhoto library into the Shared folder. I would like my wife to be able to open iPhoto and download photos. Is this possible or can she only see the photos in the Library? In iPhoto preference I have checked off Look for my Photos and Share my photos. I have File Sharing turned on in System Preferences. Now when I go into my wife's account using Fast Switching and try to open iPhoto, I get a prompt asking me to locate the file where the photos are stored. I navigate to the iPhoto Library in Shared Folder and click on it. However, I get a message that says "The main photo library appears to be locked or in a read-only cd." Is there a workaround for this so that both my wife and I can add, edit, etc. photos to the same iPhoto library or is this not possible? I hope I was clear. Thanks.
    Thom

You would need to make her ~/Pictures folder an alias of the shared Pictures folder within /Users/Shared
Make sure the permissions on that folder (get info) allow her there via others or group. (read & write)
Now, as for the first step, make sure that you move her ~/Pictures folder to the desktop first to copy over items after you've made the appropriate shortcut. That way, you two will be sharing the library and anything you copy there as well as her will be in the same place.

  • HT201317 How can I allow others to view my photos in iCloud? I really liked the Mobile Me gallery views for my friends.

Is I cloud available to view photos as was the Mobile me galleries? Can downloads from it be allowed as in Mobile me?
I do not see a web address to my photos to access as in mobileme.
    Pat

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Unfortunately, iCloud does not offer equivalents to Mobile Me’s iDisk, Gallery or Web Hosting services. You will need to find a third party solution to replace these services. You might consider DropBox, SugarSync, MediaFire or any other service that offers online storage.
