Not sure what more I can add . . . before I updated to 9.0.1, I had all my bookmarks displayed in a side bar, all the time . . . I have lost the ability to have that functionality.

Try hitting ''ctrl+b'' to bring up the bookmarks sidebar. Hitting ''Alt'' will bring up the old menu bar items temporarily if you are seeing the ''Firefox'' menu. You can also got to ''Firefox > Options > Menu bar'' to give Firefox a more familiar feel. Then you can access the sidebar from the bookmarks menu.
You should also take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[Navigation Toolbar items]] to see how you can add the button to the tool bar for quick access.

I upgraded to Firefox 7 and lost all my Bookmarks and the Toolbar which I use every day for all the important things I do on my Mac.. PLEASE HELP ME... Is there some way to restore my previous settings, go back to the older version or something?

PLEASE HELP!... I am seriously freaking out... I use my Toolbar all the time!... and ALL OF MY BOOKMARKS ARE GONE ALSO!

I am not an expert or even close, and I offer this only because this is how I figured out how to do it. I used a similar approach to importing all email accounts, email content and the address book into a new version of Thunder bird, but I assume this is common knowledge.
My system:
Windows 7 64 bit, recently upgraded from XP64. Installed Mozilla Aurora but seems the same as recent Firefox versions with respect to these features.
Limitation:
This solution depends on whether or not automatic backups were done of the bookmarks when you used your old installation. They were on my system and I don't remember doing it, but maybe I did. Others might know if this is periodically done by default. Assuming you have some backup (*.json) files,
Locate your the bookmark backup files from the old version of your browser. On XP it was located in
E:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.<your computer name>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\bookmarkbackups
Each of the bookmark backup files look like this example:
bookmarks-1010-09-22.json
They might also be located one folder deeper, in my case:
E:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.<your computer name>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\x72qybcl.default\bookmarkbackups
Again, they will look like this:
bookmarks-1010-09-22.json
Copy all of these .json files to the backup folder on your new installation. On my new Windows 7 file system system I found their new home at:
C:\Users\Art\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\0ptl24i3.default\bookmarkbackups
On an XP system I'm sure they would be found along a path, possibly on a differed drive, similar to where your got them from as above.
I fired up Aurora. Drop down "Bookmarks" tab, Select "Show All Bookmarks" (found near the bottom). This brings up the "Library" window. At the top of the window is a tab "Import and Backup". Click this and select "Restore". All of the prior backup files will be available indexed by the date of backup. Select one and all of your prior bookmarks will be repopulated, including the bookmarks Toolbar.

Firefox is not working - I believe it is because a McAfee pop-up asked if I wanted to allow something, and instead of 'allow always' I clicked 'block.' A year or so ago I did this (and forgot) and it changed the settings and I also lost MF access.

However, I had my music on my iPhone as well so I assumed it will sync. It did sync but not the way I thought, so I lost years of music and favorite uploaded CDs. How can I recover it? I lknow you can acess iTunes from 4 computers so the database is there somewhere. Unfortunately all I was able to recover is the music purchased from iTunes directly. It makes me wonder about the iCloud product; if I cannot find my music what is my incentive to buy iCloud? It seems like they are starting to charge for something that they provided before freely, then messed up the updates and software so that we need to pay for this service now.

iCloud never stored music. That is what the iTunes Match service is for.
The only way to get back non-iTunes-purchased music is to import them to your new iTunes library however you did it on your old computer.

March 20, 2014 I updated the software on my iPhone 5 to version 7.1. After doing that, I discovered that I could NO longer view my Calendar items in a continuous list view. I can only view items I've put on my calendar under the Month view for EACH day at a time. This is Awful ! Is there ANY way I can view items in a continuous list where I can Scroll? That was available prior to this update?

That helped, but still did not solve the "continous scroll" question.
I did however discover that if you go to Search and type in a "common" letter like "s", a Continuous List view will appear.
Any further help on how to do this as a default view would be appreciated from any and all.

Your best bet is to check the version of QuarkXPress you have. Since Lion does not include Rosetta my guess is this may be why it is not working. Check out this site http://roaringapps.com/apps:table. This site has a list of apps that work and don't work under Mac OS X Lion.
If you are working in a production environment freelance or stuido that uses design apps like QuarkXPress, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop you should always wait to upgrade your OS. We have a 3 to 6 month policy for upgrading computers and software.

The advanced adjustments in the Highlights & Shadows tool were combined into the "Mid Contrast" slider in Aperture 3.3 and later. If you have any images in your library that were processed in a version of Aperture before 3.3, there will be an Upgrade button in the Highlights & Shadows tool in the upper right, and the controls you asked about under the Advanced section. Clicking the Upgrade button will re-render the photo using the new version of Highlights & Shadows, and the Advanced section will be replaced with the new Mid Contrast slider. With the new version from 3.3 you probably don't need the Advanced slider, but if you want to use the older version you can download it from this page:

No, since the iPad 2 is iOS 8 compatible it can only be updated to iOS 8. Apple does not support upgrading to interim iOS versions, and removes those files from the servers when a new version is released. The only path for that iPad 2 is iOS 8.0.2.

My MacBook Pro is running on a 10.5.8 operating system but has not allowed me to upgrade. It has been fine for the past few years but is now getting to the point where programs are not functioning properly. What operating system should I be trying to upgrade to and what should I do in order for the upgrade to work? I have tried upgrading to Mac OS X Snow Leopard but it says that I need 10.6 in order to upgrade to Snow Leopard. The only upgrade that has begun to work has been a 10.5.6 which is a less updated version of the operating system that I'm already using. Do you mean you were using Mozilla Seamonkey - or something even older - sometimes called 'The Mozilla Suite'?
