Allways two installations of Adobe Products in my System

I find allways two installations of Adobe Products (for example Premiere Pro CS6 and Premiere Pro CC 2014)
Do I need two installations or can I delete one of them? Thank you for your help.
Marc

Cloud members have access to 3 major versions: CS6, CC and CC 2014.
It's up to you if you want to install and run them all or only the latest.
If you only want the latest (CC 2014) then feel free to uninstall the older versions.

I recently upgraded from the photographer version to the full suite.  I had help from the adobe chat line, and was assured that the original purchase was cancelled.  However, I have now been billed for both versions?

    Hi Annette
I'll look into what's happened here and refund the charge that was processed in error.

  • FAQ: How to deactivate an Adobe product, or My computer crashed, how do I install on a new one?

    What is Activation?
When you purchase an Adobe product, your license allows you to install on two computers. To enforce this limit (and prevent others from using what you have paid for), your serial number comes with two Activations. Activation happens when you launch the product for the first time (it does not happen during the installation process). Your Adobe product contacts the Adobe activation servers and lets us know that you are using the product on a specific computer (using an anonymous, unique machine code). If you'd like to move your product to a new computer, simply uninstall the application, which lets you deactivate it from the computer.
I have already installed on two computers, and one of them crashed, what do I do?
Often you will find yourself in a situation that a computer has crashed and you had an activated Adobe product on that system. Depending on how much you use the Adobe product, this could be a major issue. If you have crashed your first computer and have not yet installed on a second, then there is nothing to worry about, simply install and use the product as normal. Obviously you can't uninstall and deactivate the product on the dead computer. At this point, you will have to contact our customer service department to have your activations cleared up from the back-end servers. This should be a very quick, painless process to accomplish. Simply call: 1-800-642-3623

    Hello Don,
I think there may be a misunderstanding on your part. The CDs that you receive as part of Developer Suite do not actually contain "updates" to a previously installed version of LabVIEW; they are stand-alone installers. Every quarterly shipment of the Developer Suite CDs contains the full version of LabVIEW, along with the included toolkits and other National Instruments software.
In other words, if you have any set of Developer Suite CDs, you can start a new install of LabVIEW et al. immediately. You don't need any so-called "original" CDs.
    Good luck!

  • Re-downloading Adobe Products

Because of a recent virus attack, I lost the ability to use at least two of my Adobe Products (Acrobat Pro and Photoshop Elements).  Apparently, I need to re-download them.  How do I do that?

Please follow the steps below to download Acrobat 10 Pro

    2. Sign in with your Adobe ID
    3. Copy and paste the following link on the address bar  and hit enter :

    4. Save the file.
    5. Run the .exe file to start the installation.

  • Old versions of adobe products.

I just joined the cloud very excited.  My question is do I need to keep my older versions of Adobe products on my system or can they be unistalled.

    Hi Elie101,
You may use both the versions on same computer depending on OS compatibiity, but i would always love to have the latest technology and the latest apps on my computer.

  • Encounter Installation problem with trial Adobe Production Premium CS5

When installing the trial version of Adobe production premium CS5 it fails to Install Adobe premiere CS5 and AE. The remaining applications in the suite are all installed.
I have followed all the suggestions from Adobe's site, and finally contacted their Tech Support, who could not resolve the issue sofar.
I have run their AdobeSupportAdvisor and it displays:cpsid_83570: Conflicting processes running while installing - Creative Suite 5
    I am running MAC OS 10.6.6 64 bit .
Hope someone can assist me with this.
    Thanks.

    I really appreciate your suggestions.
It took several attempts by the Adobe Technical support on an escalating level, including once a 6 hour telephone connection to have it resolved.
The last tech that finally resolved it took only two hours.
I already had Lightroom (ver 3.0, 64 bit) and Photoshop CS5(64 bit) individually installed with a legitimate license.
We had to clean out anything related to "Adobe", i.e. delete, uninstall, etc. Create another administrative account, then install the Production Suite(trial version) in Safe Mode.
The frustrating part was that every time I called back on the case, I had to answer the same questions regarding my operating system, like if I called in for the first time! I even had a slight argument with one Tech, who questioned the Graphics card. I purchased the IMAC just before Christmas (Snowleopard, 64 bit, 8 gigs of RAM, etc).
The developers at Adobe should make a better effort to make installations smoother. It was like a nightmare trying to install the software. I wanted to make sure that the software installed properly before I actually paid for it, and I nearly gave up on it after dealing with their tech support for a little over a week.
Hope that no one else has to go through the ordeal I went through.
    Frank.
As a final note, when I initially installed the software,  all components of the Suite would install properly, except for Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere Pro.For some reason, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro refused to be installed.
The last technician who resolved the installation issue(after cleaning anything related to Adobe), initially choose to install the Adobe Premiere Pro component of the suite by itself. Once Adobe Premiere Pro installed, the remaining components installed with no issues.

  • I am trying to reinstall Dreamweaver CS3 from the CD after having computer issues.  Now getting error "You can only install one Adobe product at a time.  Please complete the other installation before attempting to install ......."  There is no other Adobe

I am trying to reinstall Dreamweaver CS3 from the CD after having computer issues.  Now getting error "You can only install one Adobe product at a time.  Please complete the other installation before attempting to install ......."  There is no other Adobe product installing.  I have used the Adobe Cleaner Tool many times and uninstalled other Adobe Products but neither has worked.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled this CD version of Dreamweaver several times when changing computers and after having computer issues. A google search of the problem suggested it may be an error related to the number of times I can reinstall this product due to licensing issues.  Please help.

A google search of the problem suggested it may be an error related to the number of times I can reinstall this product due to licensing issues.
Absolutely not. You are misinterpreting things. The activation check never happens when just running the installer, only much later. It means what it says - there is another "install" pending/ active on your system, meaning somewhere there is an (invisible) process still blocking things. Either way, since you haven't provided any real technical info, we can't advise specifically. if you are on Windows, you may want to check your task manager and terminate any setup.exe and msiexec.exe processes plus potentially may need to manually fix/ delete some registry keys. For anything beyond that you will have to be much more specific.

We run Windows 7 Ent 64 bit OS in our company and recently we have started getting the following error "Installation is forbidden by system policy -  Error: 1625" when installing Adobe Products even though i am logged in as an Administrator.
We do not have any policies configured in our enviroment to restrict installations.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    May this will help you...
Error 1625: This installation is forbidden by system policy occurs when installing or updating TurboTax.
    Possible Causes
You're not logged in as an administrator.
Your Windows Installer system policy prevents you from installing digitally-signed software updates.
    Solutions
Log on to your computer with administrative rights, and then install (or update) TurboTax.
If that doesn't work, you will need to enable installation of digitally-signed software updates:
    Windows 7, 8 or Vista
Hold down the Windows key and press R to bring up the Run window.
On the Run window, type gpedit.msc, and then click OK.
On the Local Group Policy window, navigate to Local Computer Policy, then Computer Configuration, then Administrative Templates, then Windows Components, and then Windows Installer.
    Double-click Prohibit non-administrators from applying vendor-signed updates.
Click Disabled, and then click OK.
    Windows XP
Click Start on the Windows taskbar, and then click Run.
On the Run window, type gpedit.msc, and then click OK.
On the Group Policy window, navigate to Local Computer Policy, then Computer Configuration, then Administrative Templates, then Windows Components, and then Windows Installer.

  • Installer update method changes every time i update an adobe product!

hello, it is REALY anoying, that the user have to set/chose the update method e.g. "Notify me to install updates" EVERY TIME you update adobe products!!! Because Adobe Installer resets these settings every time, they offer a new product update (adobe flash or adobe reader e.g.).
I dont wont to "Allow Adobe to install updates"!!! I only want to be notified about new updates! So I have to read every time the options again to choose the right option.
Another alternative would be to me, not to install product updates, but I think this is not what adobe wants the user should chose.
    Best Regards,
    Tom

  • Installation of Adobe Reader XI using customization tool but looking to put two check marks

    Hi guys,
Installation of Adobe Reader XI using customization tool but looking to put two check marks in the signature bottom two options
called Validating Signatures and Validating Certified Documents.
Can't find it in the customization tool and don't want to change this on 650 workstations.
If I could change a registry key or change it in the installation it would help alot.
    Thanks for your help!!!

I am posting this reply AGAIN
My first reply was empty because i responded to the email I received saying this thread (is that the right terminology?) was updated. Obviously that email didn't get added, just a blank line....
Then I replied to this thread directly on Friday and that seems to have disappeared. Maybe I just don't know how to use a computer? Better sell the technology company I own LOL.
Ok so it seems the screen is normal, (not maximized). When I unlock and drop my start bar to one row, then the top of the screen pops down to inside my visible monitor space and it is not maximized. This allows me to drag it to another monitor and then maximize it there, then put my start bar back and relock it. This is the only way I can move the window, if I don't shrink my start bar, then I have zero access to the top bars of the document!
Currently I can not reproduce the problem ( I might have temporarily fixed it with my start bar reducing and then moving documents), so maybe it is permanently fixed....
Maybe a reboot will bring the problem back... It has been intermittent for about 6 months.

  • Full Adobe products installations lost with Windows "Refresh." How do I get them back without paying again?

Had many full Adobe products legally installed on my computer, needed to fix errors so did a Windows "Refresh," now all gone and Adobe doesn't recognize me as having had them.  What do I do?  I'm signed in, but the Adobe DL site is offering me free 30-day trials, and I think I must "own" 20 or so of Adobe's products:  Elements, Premier movie maker, Edge, Lightbopx, Acrobat Pro, etc.

I don't see how I'll be notified if someone answers.  My email address is [email protected]  TY All.  Also, if your answer is "you'll be prompted to enter your serial number for the products you legitimately own," (since I just discovered this while installing Acrobat), then my answer to that is (1) did the "refresh" not also remove all records of my registrations, (2), if not, where would I find the numbers, and (3) doesn't signing in to Adobe not provide me access to those things?  [Sorry to be such a PITA)

  • Adobe Products Sold Illegally

I do not appreciate being a victim, but that was my experience after purchasing Adobe's Premiere Elements 11 and Photoshop Elements 11 from an unauthorized dealer, TechNetMicro.com.   I was directed to their site using a competitive pricing Web site.  Despite TechNetMicro having the appearances of being a legitimate vendor, I called first to verify what they were offering.  Thus far it all seemed very promising, so I placed the order.  I promptly received the two software applications in proper Adobe packaging and successfully installed Photoshop; but that was not the case with Premiere.  The Premiere disc either had no content whatsoever, or the content was completely unreadable (verified by two other PCs).  I immediately phoned TechNetMicro about the problem and they agreed to send me another copy.  But when I attempted to install it, another problem occurred.  Despite the disc having content and initiating an installation, the provided key code was invalid.  When I phoned TechNetMicro again, the service agent continued putting me on infinite hold no matter how many times I called.  They were obviously avoiding me.
I soon contacted Adobe about my experience, as well as the Better Business Bureau, both taking an interest, but would / could not compensate me for any loss since the vendor I chose was unauthorized.
A few months later when starting Photoshop Elements 11, an Adobe applet appeared requesting that I re-enter the key code for activation, but the key code provided with the product no longer was being accepted.  Apparently I had been sold a trial version of that software.
How does a customer know if a vendor is authorized or not to sell an Adobe product?  You cannot simply accept a vendor's word.  The only method of insuring whether Adobe has sanctioned a vendor is through Adobe.  So where does Adobe provide this list of sanctioned vendors, or a listing of those that are known to be unauthorized and / or committing illegal sales of Adobe products? Apparently, none exists for public viewing.  Providing such lists would greatly improve the Adobe experience when seeking their products at competitive prices.  It would greatly lessen the chance of purchasing and spreading corrupted, trial-only, illegal versions of Adobe software.
Providing lists of authorized and unauthorized dealers would only enhance the integrity of Adobe and increase public awareness to a pervasive problem.

    Vrye
We are not Adobe here. We are just Premiere Elements users trying to help other Premiere Elements users with their Premiere Elements workflows. The issues with your Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 purchases are best addressed to Adobe Marketing/Legal and the Better Business Bureau. They are the only ones that I see that can give you the support and recovery that you seek.

Have a look through the pages of pages of requests for help on installing Adobe Air apps on Windows 7 machines. What you'll find is that Adobe has duped a lot of people into doing basic testing on a vehicle that it should have tested thoroughly itself before release. So you'll find lengthy, highly technical and apparently idiosyncratic install logs posted, and then every once in a while Chris Campbell, Adobe's rep, comes online and says something like "Ho Hum. It doesn't seem to work. What you need to do is stand on your head while drinking a gallon of gasoline and singing through your ears. Why don't you spend another 20 hours trying that?"
Amazing. Could you imagine a supposedly legitimate company jerking people like this 50 years ago?
Don't waste your time. Air doesn't work. Find an alternative to Adobe products instead.
I wonder how long this will stay posted before somebody removes it.
    Hello,
I understand the frustration, believe me, I really do.  Unfortunately, while we do thoroughly test installers we do run into system specific issues from time to time.  I do my best to help users, going out of my way to do desktop sharing sessions (at all times of the day and night to accomidate our global user base), creating repair scripts, etc.  But you are correct, sometimes it does get technical and we do require the installer log to figure out what might be failing.  I apologize if I wasn't able to solve your problem in the past, if you can point me to a post where I didn't follow through I'd be happy to re-read it and see if we can make progress.
I promise I won't remove your post, I just ask that you keep the responses polite and try not to get personal.
    Thanks,
    Chris
