ALMOST ALL DATA LOST! PRELUDE CC; NEED HELP!!!

Hallo Adobe Community / Prelude users,
I am experiencing a huge problem with Prelude CC that will most probably cost me a week of work if I can't solve it. Any ideas welcome.
Setup:
iMac 2,4GHz, OSX 10.9.2
Areca Thunderbolt RAID 10
Adobe Creative Cloud Prelude CC v2.2.0
The issue:
I have ingested about 1,5TB of footage of mixed kindes of formates:
- ProRes 4444
- ProRes 422 (HQ)
- MXF
- .jpeg
- H.264 .mov
The whole ingest procedure has been relealized within Prelude CC on a MacBook. After that we copied the Prelude project onto the iMac and relinked all clips -> no problemo.
I created a specific set of subclip presets and started tagging. I spent about a week of creating supclips with different kinds of discriptions to get an idea and structure of the mass of footage.
Everything went fine and I manually copied the project two days ago to a different location, renamed it as backup, locked the file and continued work on the original one.
Just today we opened Prelude again and found out that ALMOST ALL SUBCLIPS WERE GONE!! The weird thing is that some folders kept their subclips but most of them didn't.
I tried the following to resolve the issue:
- close/reopen
- restart computer
- look for auto-backups / found none
- After having no success with the above approaches I tried to open my backup-file. Turns out that also my backup file lacks most of the subclips.
- I copy the file to the macbook / same issue
- Finally I opened the file in Text Edit to check the project struktur: I find out that all media links and subclips are beeing saved within the project file and that all my subclips are also missing within the file.
After realizing this, I am allmost sure that there is no hope to get my project file back to life and that I have just lost a week of work.
What I need to make sure/find out,tho, is the following:
- Has anyone encountered similar problems?
- Did I make a mistake?
- How could that happen?
- Is it possible that sth like this will happen again?
I really need to pin that problem to make sure that I won't loose another week on the project as I have none to spare.
Otherwise I will start editing right within Premiere CC.
Please let me know if you have any idease/solutions/questions to the issue.

Thank you for your post – sorry about the issue you are having.
A few things to note – but first I wanted you to know I've forwarded this to the Prelude team QE directly and asked them to contact you to help.
When it comes to sub clips (and all markers and metadata actually), Prelude uses XMP to store it all. Depending on your media type this metadata is either embedded within the file itself (as is the case with MOV) or is written to a sidecar file (as is the case with MXF). The sidecar file will have the same name as the media file but with the extension ".XMP". Any sub clips or other markers you added to the clips will reside there.
When you moved your media from one location to another, is it possible that not all of the files were transferred? I'm wondering if the ".XMP" files didn't come along for the ride? This would certainly impact the MXF files. The QuickTime MOV files should not be affected as the metadata is embedded directly into those assets. Can you let us know if the MOV assets are the ones with the sub clips still?
Also – if you rename the MXF files on disk AFTER adding metadata, the associated XMP sidecar files will no longer link to the asset. Any chance the files were renamed AFTER logging during your file migration?

New Laptop - All data lost after 3weeks! Help!!!

I purchased a HP Pavillion G6 - 2205AX with Microsoft 8 3 weeks ago and I am beginning to regret it. My last laptop an (Asus) lasted 6 years with NO problems but I was convinced to go HP.
I had set up the computer, loaded all my documents, hooked up my printer, got anti virus, loaded microsoft office...all the normal things you do when getting a computer.
It has been running perfect, I had completed a couple of assignments, downloaded a heap of documents and everything was running fine. I always shut down after use and dont leave it plugged into the wall charging if it doesnt need it.
Today, I turned the laptop on like normal and it started up with the same start up as when I first ever started it up?? It took forever to load and when I finally got into the desktop everything is GONE!!! I cant find my documents, music or photos anywhere!!!
I am desperate to find out if they are on here somewhere as I have two assignemts due on Thursday and d not want to re-do them if they are on here somewhere....
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP
I have called microsoft support who told me to call hp support who told me to call laptop support who were closed and said to come to the HP website... PLEASE HELP!!!

NMH - All DATA LOST

Media Hub Reset - All data lost

I have NMH300, Serial No ; BTS26J306488.It was running in RAID Mode (Disk Mirror) with two 1TB Hard Disks.
The firmware was up to date.And I had enabled various services on it, like Windows Shares, FTP etc.I had also renamed the hub to "MYCLOUD"
Then one day last week when I tried to find the mediahub "MYCLOUD" on my network shares list it was no longer visible.
The status of Lights on the hub was Both disks "Blue" in colour.
Then after trying to investigate, I realised that the device has rested to its default state and all my configurations are gone. The name is also reset to "MEDIAHUB"
Then in the configuration sections, I went to "DISK" settings.
There I see that Slot B is empty.
So what I interpret from this is that one of my disks might have crashed.
But the sd part is it also says "RAID MODE" Linear1
HELP : Can linksys help me get my data back.
I feel so betrayed by the promise of a reliable NAS device by Cisco.

It is sad that things like this happen. I haven't encountered any major issues with my mediahub for the past 2 years. Now, the only way that it will revert back to single disk mode is when someone would actually set it via configuration page. Now, since your two 1TB drives were set originally to RAID1, try to take out the 2nd HD (Slot 2) from the Mediahub and check if your files are still there. You can also try to take out the HD from slot 1 and replace it with the HD from slot 2 leaving just 1 HD at a time. You may do a hard reset on the mediahub as well. Doing a reset would change your disk configuration. It will only change the basic settings (mediahub's friendly name, FTP name). So just give it a shot and post some updates.
Hope this could help. I am not sure if Cisco has data recovery facility. If your HD is within manufacturer warranty, then you may try to have it recovered on their end.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

All data lost after upgrading

I lost all data after upgrading my iPhone 3G to iOS4. I was able to recover only the information that syncs with mobileme, everything else was gone, in all apps: bank accounts, passwords, notes, games, settings, etc -everything
I already restored and restarted, even used time machine, nothing seems to work. Any help?

I am trying to update to the newest software, and get a warning that i need to save/transfer new purchases to my library. I know the last time i did this update i went with continue, and as the others in the posting have indicated lost information. It didnt matter to me at that time, but now that I have more info to lose, i dont want to do it, so the other option on it is to do as it asks. But, I am having a hard time doing that. I have done what they have asked by going to file and transferring, but, it doesnt seem to be working. As i continue to get the same warning. I am not going to update this till i get the answer to do it properly this time. But, want to know why it doesnt want to transfer the info that it requires, for me to continue on. I think this is why the others in the thread are losing their info.

Ipod Synced with PC and all data lost

Hi, I have a new Ipod classic 120 GB. I normally use it with my macbook and all was good till yesterday my brother synced it with a PC and all data was lost. My Ipod has a few mp3 music flies which i cannot delete and gives me error code 61. It also refuses to be recognized by my macbook again although when i connect the itunes open in my macbook but doesnot read the ipod and does not sync. I have even tried to restore. The ipod pluged in icon appears on the screen. Any suggestions to help me get my data back from my macbook itunes would be much appreciated.

DId you sync you iPod on another computer? If so the photos are gone.
Unless you synced/backed up your iPod after you had taken the photos and the backup still has the photos, the photos are gone. You can go to iTunes>Preferences>DIvices and see the date of the backup.

Iphone 3G & software update - all data lost

I decided to update the software on my iphone 3G. Thought everything would be saved as I have done this before and it was ok, but this wasn't the case. All data has been lost including all photos, numbers etc. I really need to get the photos and phone numbers back. Any ideas what to do?

I have plugged the iphone into itunes and selected restore, it then says it will restore the phone to the original factory settings. It says all of the media and other data will be lost. Is this ok? Or will I loose all the music, apps etc.

Ipod 2 : All data lost after battery empty, Apple logo! *** is this now!?

I am very upset, i took me countless hours to set up and customize my new ipad 2. Finally i was done, playing "fishfarm" on it, when i noticed the battery was down to 4%. I went to bed, thinking, well the ipad will go to sleep mode soon enough since it was so low on battery power.
Then the shock when i woke up!!! I wanted to charge my ipad, when i noticed the frigging Apple Logo! I assumed the worse when i had to connect it to itunes.

Backing up the iPad is as simple as attaching the cable to the iPad and your computer and telling the iTunes app on your computer to make a backup. It takes about 5 minutes usually. You should always backup important data on all computer devices.
The iPad 2 was not rushed to market. There is nothing wrong with the iPad 2's logicboard. Mine has worked perfectly from day one over a month ago.
But when a factory assembles millions of electronic devices with dozens of parts from different sources, there may occasionally be a bad one. Call Apple Care and have them walk you through the steps to determine if yours is a lemon or you personally have made a mistake with it, aside from failing to back it up.

There really is no need to use caps and bolding. It only serves to make your message annoying.
Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod. If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). If any passwords are associated with your bank or any savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. Something as small as an iPod should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

Manual ios update and all data lost?

I updated my ipad manually and everything went well but when i updated my dads ipod touch 3g all data was LOST!!!!!! My dad went mad!! He had tonnes of songs in his collection especially old songs and he didnt make any back up.......please suggest how i can recover these songs my dad is sooooo upset!

If they are not on the iPod or computer they are gone. However, iTunes purchases can be redownload by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If the synced items like music and apps are not in the iTunes library on which you do an update they well be lost since the backup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like aps or music.

So you need to delete entries in SM13/LBWQ for application and also detup table content.
And then refill teh set up table.
If you are in production clear the entries by running collective run no of times for this application 04.

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

Why Is my 30GB almost all taken up?! Please Help!

Hello nice people who may help me!
I purchased a 30 GB ipod video...its great EXCEPT I only have a little more than 300 songs (almost all from cds) and more than half of my 30 GB is already taken up. I know it estimates songs at 4 minutes but still I should have some more space on that baby! I dont have any pictures other than album artwork and I do not have any videos.
