Alot of problems with Muse CC ,-

Footer , Dropdown Menu coloring ,- Diasshows ,- .. To many problems ,- and i follow all instructions on video totureals. I go back to Dreamweaver and mabye visit Muse again when your finnish troubble shooting .. This program is a great , when it all works..! Or mabye i should call Terry White to fix this

Today - funny enough ... Do I not have the same problems.
I could show you what has teased me - but realy no points.
It must have been a hickup - either by me or my PC.
Sticky footer and drop down menu - working as they should.
Even the picture galleries ..
Everything in the best order ..

I'm having quite a few problems with Muse, here's one of them.

On top of this, similar things are happening with the length of master pages not correlating with the individual content pages. Can anybody explain this and maybe suggest how I can fix it? Obviously this is unusuable at the moment so I'm in need of a fix. Thanks.

As to your installation problems I'm not sure I have enough information to help you there. What do you mean by initialize? Are you having this problem with every program you install? What program and version are you trying to install?
As to the problem playing Windows Media Files there are plenty of players out there. One that I use is called VLC. It's a free solution and will play a wide variety of formats.

Problems with Muse and Edge Animate working together

Hello. I am having a problem with Adobe Muse and Adobe Edge Animate. I have a animated graphic on my home page that is made with edge. It's just a simple bar that slides across the screen. It works fine when you first go into the home page, however if you go back to the home page via any of the home page links on any of my other pages, the Edge Animate graphic does not display. Is there a reason or a fix I can use?
The main reason I am using the Edge Animate graphic is that my pages do take advantage of the scroll motion features of Muse, but this graphic is on the upper part of the page so the scroll motion does not go into effect yet.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Problem with Muse Update

Ever since downloading the Muse update, all my existing Muse files are locked, or frozen, or something. I am unable to select or edit anything in the document.
Has anybody else experienced this problem, and if so, does anyone know of a solution?
I spent several hours today trying to get some help from Adobe - both via phone and live chat, to no avail. Anyone I spoke to (after over one hour on hold) was very difficult to understand, and promised to have a Muse expert call me back, which never happened. On live chat, it was basically the same process. No one I could get a hold of could help me.
Any suggestions?

Am I correct in understanding from your description that there's no problem with opening your existing files or navigating to individual pages via the Plan view? And the problem being described is that clicking on items in Design view fails to select them, correct?
If that's the case one of two causes are likely:
- Go to the Object menu and select "Unlock All on Page".
Now attempt to click on items to select them, or do a Select All (Cmd/Ctrl+A). If that works, your done.
- If the items are still no selectable, they're probably on the master page that's applied to this page and not on this page itself. Go to Plan view and note the blue page name in square brackets below the page. This is the applied master page. In the bottom section of the Plan view (labeled Masters) double click on that master page. Now you should be able to select and interact with the items on the master page (though if they've been locked you may need to use the Object:Unlock All on Page command).
Hopefully the cause is one of these two situations.

Adobe Edge (.oam file) interaction problem with Muse

I created a edge animate file which has a parallax scrolling feature in it. When I scroll, the items move. But when I load the animation's .oam fle from muse, the animation losts its scrolling effect. How can I solve this?
(PS:I used Edge Commons to create the effect)
(Any other suggestions for creating parallax effects with muse?)

Please double click on the symbol and make sure "autoplay " is unchecked in the stage properties. then republish the OAM file and then try.
If the issue still persist please share the compressed project file with us to take a look at it.

Upload problems with muse and creative cloud membership

I made my site with Muse. When oploading it refused. I have to take a paid account of creative cloud.
As I have photoshop cc as a paid app, I automaticaly have creative Cloud. And therfore I should have webhosting...
Is this correct?
So what to do?

The five free hosting BC sites is only with the full CC Membership. If you are only paying for the Photoshop Subscription (or any single app) it does not include the hosting.

Problem with Muse Lightbox and Chrome

Hi, I've just updated my website to a brand spanking new look, and I've had feedback of a problem with this page:
SHARPE GRAPHIC DESIGN – PORTFOLIO
Works fine on Safari and Firefox, but on Chrome the Hero image appears cropped to the top part of the image, until you scroll, then you can get it all.
Is this just another Chrome scrolling issue? Any help gratefully received.

Simple answer is.. It depends.. What version of IE are you referring to?
IE 6 - Run the hell away if ANY of your clients are still using this dinosaur
IE 7 - Drop this bad habit...
IE 8 - Still will find some issues, but not as bad as prior versions..
IE 9 - Seems to be better, but still NOT as compatible as FF or Chrome

Widget/Parallax Problems with Muse and Chrome?

For some reason when I publish my site to the business catalyst and it opens in chrome, the parallax images I have on my page dont show up and my youtube widgets (which are inside of a blank composition widget) and my tooltip widget is unresponsive (meaning they appear but are not interactive). I also have a google maps widget but have no issues with it.
(for business catalyst this problem goes away after I refresh a couple of times but is still consistent when I first open it)
This same problems also happen when I export my site as HTML and open the HTML file in Chrome. However none of the problems occur when I open the HTML file in Safari or Firefox. Futhermore, if I do preview site in browser and it opens in Chrome, than none of the problems occur.

For the record I am on the newest version of both Chrome and Muse
*Also one of the edge animations I have doesnt seem to show up in the business catalyst but shows up when I view the HTML file in all browsers and when I preview the site in chrome.

I believe you're encountering a bug Google introduced with Chrome 33 <https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=336476&q=font&cols pec=ID%20Pri%20M%20Iteration%20ReleaseBlock%20Cr%20Status%20Owner%20S u mmary%20OS%20Modified>. It impacts the first paint of a web page containing web fonts. Google is aware of the bug and working on a fix. To confirm this is what you're seeing, does everything draw and function correctly if you reload the page? It appears to for me.

Problem with Muse template {tag_pagecontent}

Apologies if this problem has been posted before but I have done a fair bit of searching on here and can't seem to find anything similar.
I am new to web development and have been setting up an online store using Muse and BC.
I have uploaded a template from Muse containing the HTML {tag_pagecontent} so that my standard header and footer are on the large product view and shopping cart.
The shopping cart view is fine and exactly as planned, however the large product view page is doing something strange. The footer is being displayed half way up the large product detail (see below)
When I preview the template in the BC it looks as planned too:
Has anyone else had this problem?
Do I have to change some of the css for large product page as this is the only content affected?
Any help would be hugely appreciated.

I am only a novice and new to code but with one page working and the other not could it be related to something in the css for the large product page?
The Muse code is tricky to follow but if you can think of anything I can look for then please let me know?

Perpetual problem with Muse authorization

Hello, I use Muse several months and every time, when I launch Muse, I get folowing error:
"An unexpected error occurred processing your request. Please try again later.
I-200"
I input mu login and pass exactly, no mistake, and this truble really start bother me...
I pay one year subscribtion, whats wrong with my accaunt? Please correct this issue quickly, as possible. I went lot of my time for input Login/Password again and again...

I have serious problems with Muse swf files containing movies. How I can fix them?

I created swf format documents with InDesign. These documents contain movies in mp4 or flv format. When I put these documents in Muse I programmed processes work perfectly except the films, which are not displayed. I have observed that in the folder that is generated when exporting as HTML does not contain any video files swf containing original documents. Please, I need a solution. Thank you!

Log in problem with Muse

Hi,
I am a monthly subscriber of creative cloud. I have been using Muse app on my desktop computer for a while. Few days ago I down loaded Muse app to my laptop then suddenly I cannot log in Muse from my desktop anymore. However, I can still use other apps such as photoshop on the desktop. Can someone advise how to fix it?

Could you please mention the error message that you get while trying to login to Adobe Muse?
Please try deleting the opm.db file from the following location :
on Mac: <yourusername>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
on Windows XP: <youruser>\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\OOBE
on Windows 7: <youruser>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
Note the built-in file search features on Mac and Windows will not find hidden files or folders. If you're not familiar with how to navigate to hidden files/folders on your computer:
on Mac: Use the "Go to folder" item in the "Go" menu in the Finder and enter "~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE" (without the quotes). Delete the opm.db file.
on Windows: Click on Start. Type run and press Enter. Type "%localappdata%\Adobe\OOBE\" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Delete the opm.db file.
Please let us know if you are stillfacing issues with it.

Problems with Muse Slideshows.

As of this morning images in the main image slideshow windows don't show up at all in preview mode, even when their thumbnail is clicked on. Images in main image window do show in design mode. When published they don't show up in their main window until the thumbnail is clicked on. This pertains to both the thumbnail and lightbox lightshows - which are the two types that we are trying to work with. Thiis a bit distressing since we have been building two sites with a lot of images with no problem, but now the whole thing seems to have gone down the toilet in terms of slideshows.

Do you use the equalizer on your iPod? I know in the past that with certain mono-tracks there was an issue when playing while the equalizer was active. That was fixed in a firmware update.
But my point it, if it is on a setting, try setting the equalizer to OFF and see if it makes any difference.
For that matter you might also turn off Sound Check if that is also enabled on the iPod.

Problems with Muse

I am trying to build the 'Work' section of my website but have hit a wall with my design...
I have created some rollover images showing snippets of work from my projects. What i want to happen is - my images are black and white, when you rollover them they become colour, when you click on an image that then opens a lightbox display for that specific project. You click off the lightbox, you move on to another project that works in the same way. Is this possible to achieve in Muse?
I guess the real question is, Can a rollover image hide/activate a lightbox display? If not I fear i may have to start creating lots of pages!!!!
Whether its through the widgets or some coding - please help me!

You either will need to place all the images, that you want to show, in the target of one trigger or place a slide show in the target which gets triggered by one thumbnail and once opened slides through the different images.
