Alpha in levels in addition of RGB

I wish there were the possibiliy to modify alpha in the levels as in After Effects and you can easily load a selection from a black and white image.

I think he has his terminology confused, and is referring to transparency.
But then it doesn't make sense to adjust levels on the transparency channel very often (if ever).
And you can already target an alpha channel and use adjustments on it....
So, I'm not sure what he meant.

Add append structure ZAVBAP in table VBAP in Tcode: SE11.
In this structure include the new fields to be added to the screen.
Then in Tcode : SE80
take program: SAPMV45A
take screen 8459 and add the new field.
Also add the validation in the flow logic.

Hi Experts,
I am working on Inbound interface using IDoc (ORDERS05); during Idoc process IDOC_ORDERS_INPUT; i have to take segment value and need to populate at order items level; in custom field (in additional tab B).
For that i am using FM (Customer exits) :
Step 1- EXIT_SAPLVEDA_001 (Getting segment value and passing to XVBAP-Zfield).
Step 2- EXIT_SAPLVEDA_002 (Passing Value to respective screen using BDCDATA table).
Due to unable to find where i have to set flag and how ?; To avoid multiple record to append ; BDCDATA Table with same screen.
As mention in this link for Header level additional tab B : http://www.sapfans.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=62945#p1025880.
They are using my_flag to avoid ,issue as i mention in above step.
Step 3 - At last they are deleting my_flag in FM : EXIT_SAPLVEDA_003. (find in above link)

you need to use a flag of type vbap-posnr .
and your check statement will become
check my_flag NE XVBAP-POSNR. (or the ZZXVBAP-POSNR).
and setting the flag
my_flag = XVBAP-POSNR.
so for same posnr it wont repeat the append.. hope this can help

Screen BADI for MIRO/FB60 item level field addition

I need to add 'Material Group" (MATKL) field in item level similar GL Account. Material group will appear like GL account column in FB60/ MIRO screen ( GL posting).
I want to do without modification with help screen BADI.

Material management>Logistic Invoice verification>incoming invoice-->Maintain item list variant.
Or use Tcode SHD0, enter transaction Code MIRO and create a screen variant.
You can create your own screen variant , Untick the invisible check box for material group.

CSS Level 2 Support for RGB Hex Abbreviation

when creating a style sheet during the tutorial in
Flash 8: Training from the Source, i abbreviated my hex
colors as usual when i have repeating pairs (in this particular
case #999 instead of #999999) and the publised Flash page would not
display the correct color. it displayed black text instead of gray.
after changing the #999 to the full #999999, the republished
Flash page displayed the page correctly. I understand from the book
Flash 8 does not support level 2 CSS, which includes more than my
simple abbreviation issue.
when do you (Adobe Flash Team) expect to incorporate CSS
level 2 support into the product? is it supported by Flex 2, as I
am not too familiar with that platform yet?

Adding new field in ME21N items level NO ADDITIONAL TAB or SUBSCREEN

I have a requirement where I am just trying to add a new field ZZ*** at Item level in ME21N (and no new tabs please)
I got the modification key and now wat i see is that in screen 1211 SAP has some field mappings with metadata.
Refer to Include LMEMFSF0T.
Can you please help me how sud i proceed or wat can be an alternate way out to solve.

     Another way of doing the same is to use screen-exits for the transaction. You can use the standard enhancement MM06E005 in SMOD for the Purchasing related custom fields. You can add the fields in the screens 0101, 0111 of program SAPLXM06 to get the fields in the tab 'Customer Data' at header level and item level for ME* transactions.

Problem with pypanel and rgb

Hi all,
Been running OpenBox with pypanel for a while and everything has been running smooth, but then I updated and had to comment the rgb in xorg.conf. Now pypanel doesn't display any text or the clock, just the icons.
What can I do in order to get the text and clock back?

I'm using the nvidia-96xx. Below's my complete .pypanelrc. Using the bitstream-vera font and it has work before the update of X.

Alpha Channel Video Preloader

We are creating a project that includes a number of alpha channel videos of the course narrator and other characters. Playback works well however, before each video plays, there is a brief "loading" message and then the video pops onto the screen and plays.
I understand the need for the pre-loader, however, I am hoping there is a way to add a "poster frame" to avoid the jarring impact of a person suddenly appearing over a realistic background. A little too much like a magic trick.
We would like to try a poster frame similar to the commonly used "Flash Media Playback" player provided by adobe for flash video on websites found here http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaplayback/index.html
Flash media playback allow the use of a jpg file that loads immediately before the video buffers.
Alternatively, are there any other "tricks" to make it appear that the video is present on the screen before it begins to play?

Probably because you're not actually encoding "nothing" when creating transparency. An alpha channel is an additional 8-bit grayscale channel, and it probably can't or isn't compressed as much as the RGB channels, or else the transparency would not be clean. The only way to decrease the file size is to lower the total bitrate, which will subsequently have an impact on the quality of the "visible" video.

Alpha Channels in Photoshop CS4 not working

I'm not an expert at using alpha channels, but I was trying to clip someone from a background. I followed the directions according to a tutorial I found (choose which color channel looks best, then Alt-click on New Channel). My alpha channel always looks black. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes there, are two ways - to use the clipboard: copy and paste the RGB layer into the alpha channel - making sure that full color composite view is visible, and the correct layer is highlighted, when you copy - and ONLY the alpha channel is selected in the channels palette when you paste.
Another way, which you may have heard ages ago, is to load the RGB grayscale - command clicking the RGB composite channel. Then create a new alpha channel from this selection- if the channel is the wrong way round invert it (command I)

Alpha channel in Adobe Media Encoder output

Hello, I would like to know how to get the same result in Adobe Media Encoder as you get from AE rendering using Quicktime container and PNG + alpha codec.
On the left is the SS from playing AME rendered video in any player, even Win preview, on the rigth is how it is played if rendered from AE with same settings. (AME has 32bit. AE has RGB + alpha)
Even the file sizes are different so this clearly isn't equivalent to AEs render. And yes, if you import what AME rendered into AE, it looks ok, but I need this to look OK in video players.
Am I missing something, or this simply isn't possible?

Remove / Convert Alpha Channel using Automator?

I'd like to take a series of Grayscale + Alpha TIFs and make them just RGB[A] TIFs. Basically this involves copying the Alpha channel to the R, G, B channels and then resaving as RGB TIFs.
I am sure this could be done in Photoshop, but I'd really love to figure out how to do it in Automator. Or is this beyond the capabilities of Quartz?
