Alphabetical order for albums

How can I do this.
I have manuals but can't find any information on it

It alpha sorts the albums - not the photos
Yes - no matter what device you are using you rignt click - the device determines exctly how you right click - on my track pad I have the preferences set to do a two finger "touch" for right click - your may be different

I have my iTunes library set to display artists in alphabetical order and albums in chronological order. This is the sorting option preferred by every person I've ever spoken to about it. The touble is nobody I've ever spoken to can tell me how to get my device (4S64, 5.1.1) to follow suit. iTunes on my phone insists on listing albums alphabetically. Since I (we) already know all the letters of the alphabet and in which order they occur this kind of sorting is of no benefit. Somebody please put me (us) out of our misery and reveal whichever secret soft switch must be flipped to make this happen. Also, if possible, I would rather do the alphabetical "Artist" sorting by last name rather than first but I have not seen an option for that either.

There is no secret soft switch for Album by Artist by Year on iOS.
If you want your artists sorted by last name first then edit the corresponding sort values.

Alphabetical order for project roles

Hello all!
Does anyone know if it's possible to change the standard project role sort (defined at each new project role creation, incrementally) so that we get the roles in the alphabetical order?

We had the issue on 2 views:
1/ Resource tab: as we bought the SAP consulting Solution called "Sophisticated Resource Managemen toolkit", the role list is then displayed with an ALV list. It's then easy to change the standard layout in the administration mode.
2/ Structure tabl -> role: for this one, we added a post-exit in cl_dpr_ui_log_tsk_role~fill_tree to resort the role tree.

I know how to set the sort order for each individual song (Sort tab on song info), but is there a way to set sort order for multiple tracks?

Jumbled song order for album

Hello,
I bought the album "Life in Cartoon Motion" by Mika a while back on iTunes UK. I first bought a couple of singles and then bought the other tracks later on (pre complete my album). Even though I've changed the info fields to match so it should display all the tracks as being on the same album, with all the fields for year, disc number, track order etc etc agreeing.... it still displays the tracks in the wrong order in the library.
Anyone had a similar experience and know of a fix?

Was the order on the jewel case printout correct? I can change the order in itunes, but when I select Album Listing and print it out, the order is backwards and the album covers are shown in reverse order.

How do i place order for album

i am using the Rocketlife Kiosk@Home disk....
Everything went ok till I placed my order.
It wouldn"t let me choose shipping method.
So I couldn't place my order.
It took me 4 hours to set everything up in the album !

Yes, but if you order (say by name, or by least recently played) the "Autofill From" source list and turn off "Choose items randomly" then sequential play will be in the order of the source list.
(This works on my first gen Shuffle.)

Photos for iOS: How can i sort all of my albums automatically in alphabetical order

first off, why isn't there a a community for the new Photos app?
Anyway, here is my problem:
How can i sort my albums on the new Photos app on iOS?
I think it's not possible at the moment.
I am using the iCloud Photo library and uploadet all of my 15.000 photos from the last 15 years.
And because of that, i now have many many albums on Photos now.
Overall i love the new app and i love the iCloud Photo library, but i cannot sort my albums on the iOS app automatically in alphabetical order.
I can sort albums manual, but who wants that, when you have so many of them???
I have Photos on my Mac too and there i am able to do sort them in alphabetical order. But it is not adopted to iOS or the iCloud Web-App.
Because of that, i have a complete picture chaos on my iPhone and when i am looking for this one pic in that one album it takes me forever to find it.
So please Apple, fix this and we all can live happily ever after!

Moments in Photo are the new Events. T
here's a way to simulate events in Photos.
When the library was first migrated there was a folder created titled iPhoto Events and all migrated iPhoto Events are represented by an album in the folder. To open the sidebar if it's not open use the Option+Command+S key combination.
When new photos are imported into the Photos library go to the Last Import smart album, select all the photos and use the File ➙ New Album menu option or use the key combination Command+N. Name it as desired. It will appear just above the iPhoto Events folder where you can drag it into the iPhoto Events folder
When you click on the iPhoto Events folder you'll get a simulated iPhoto Events window showing all of the albums.
The downside to this simulation is that the Album/Events can only be sorted automatically by Title while viewed in the Folder in the main window or in the sidebar. But they can be sorted manually.

Chris, The sequence number is the first column of numbers, to the left of the Name column. It always goes 1, 2,3 etc. It is not the same as the Track Number, which has its own column.
As a precaution before burning, make sure that Shuffle is tunred off, and that you right-click the playlist name and choose 'Copy to Play Order" (although technically they should not affect the burn).

When I import an album into ITunes...it puts the song list in alphabetical order. How do I get it to import the album order?

I don't have iPhoto on my iPad, so I can't help with that, but you must have looked at advice for a Mac computer? Maybe browse the iPhoto for iOS forum?

How do you sort photo albums in date order instead of alphabetic order?

My photo albums used to be date sorted but after selecting Sort albums, they are now in alphabetic order. How do I undo that, please?

I am sorry that I ran afoul of the user guidelines, I'll remove the rant if I can. I certainly did not intend my gripe to target the helpful responder. And yes, I did provide the feedback to Apple. I'm just used to such feedback going into a "black hole". Which this almost certainly does because this problem has existed for years (I Googled for an answer first.) However, it should be noted that company's tend to respond to feedback that is very public if they want to keep a good name in the business. The private feedback through the program is like a quiet whisper, only the two parties involved know about it, so there is no real incentive for prompt action.

With using any version of iTunes, whenever I import songs into my library using the "add to library" function, iTunes adds those songs in songs' alphabetical order. This is pretty annoying since it does not preserve the logical track number or album.

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

I am not talking about the contents of a particular album but the list of albums I have on the left hand side of the itunes screen. there are a dozen albums at the top that aren't in any order and I can't drag them down to where in the playlist they should be to keep them in some sort of order. any assistance would be helpfull and h. new year from Aust. .......s.l.f.f. ....re( my names Chris to )
