Already bought GarageBand... do I have to buy it again to make it work fully?
Just did an update to GarageBand on my iPhone 4. Have had GarageBand since 2010, and now with the "new" version, I have to buy the complete instruments package to get a fully functioning version. I already bought this app once, why was I migrated to the new "free" version just so I have to buy it again?
Just tap on one of the in-app purchaseable instruments and at the bottom of the screen there will be a "Already purchase?" text. Just tap it and you will be asked for your user name and password (use the one that you bought Garage Band with). It worked for me.

I updated my iPod and it erased everything i had on it. How do i retrieve the songs that i bought from the iTunes store? when i try to download/buy them again they tell me i have already purchased them do i want to buy them again? I have authorized my computer but none of them are in my music now.
You buy one and only one download.
It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.
Certainly you did not update your ipod without making sure that you had transferred anything purchased on the ipod to your computer and included it in your regular backup copy of your computer. -
Hi, I am new to iMAC and I am planning to get one soon. I own an iPAD with Keynote and Pagen in it among other App and I was wondering if I can transfer those to my new iMac or do I have to buy them again for my new Mac

It may be that if you already bought the iPad versions using your iTunes account, you get a discount on the Mac versions? (That's just a guess - it applies with FileMaker, but I don't know if it does with iWork).
There is no discount for one version of the iWork apps due to owning the other version.

I bought a new desktop, which is running Mountain Lion; do I have to buy it again for my laptop?
If the new desktop came with Mountain Lion already installed, you will have to purchase it separately for your portable. If you purchased ML for the desktop, you do not need to pay for it again.

HI, SO I BOUGHT MOUNTAIN LION ON MY MACBOOK PRO TRYING TO UPGRADE FROM SNOW LEOPARD, AND WHILE TRYING TO REINSTALL THE OS SETUP AS IT SHOWED IT COULDNT BE VERIFIED, I CROSSED OUT MOUNTAIN LION FROM MY PURCHASES, ITS NOW GONE, DO I HAVE TO BUY IT AGAIN?
Please google search for "Mountain Lion disk crash" before upgrading you mac pro. You might need to replace you Mac hard drive after the upgrade. So many people had the same problems including me.
Be aware of the Mountain Lion upgrade problem. -
I bought a 16gb iphone 5 about 3 months ago and got applecare. yesterday I had to get on a different plan within the same company so i traded in my phone and got a new 32gb iphone 5. can i transfer my applecare to this new phone or would I have to buy it again?
As this is a WW forum with different AppleCrare offerings you need to specify which Country
as in North America has AppleCare+ and everywhere else AppleCare ,very different products
So to avoid incorrect guidance suggest you specify Country -
When i want to download a bought movie... It says that i have to buy it again, what do i have to do?
What happened to the 4 movies that you purchased and downloaded direct with your iPad?
Were the movies deleted from your iPad before the movies were transferred from your iPad to your iTunes library on your computer?
If the movies were deleted from your iPad before transferring the movies to your iTunes library on your computer, you will need to purchase the movies again. -
Bought Quicktime Pro and my computer died, do I have to buy it again?
I bought Quicktime Pro back in 2006, recently my laptop died and I had to get it a new harddrive. I still have the serial number cause I bought it online. But it says it's an invalid number and I can't use it. Do I have to buy it again?
Thank you!Make sure you're entering in both the user name and key code exactly as in the email Apple sent you. Any error in either, including leaving off a salutation (for instance, if the email says "Mr. John Smith") will cause the registration to error.
Hope this helps. -
I had Iphoto on my computer when i bought it and now had to reinstall a new hard drive do i have to buy it again?
reinstall from the original source
Could be
1 - the restore disks that came with the computer
or
2 - the iLife DVD that you purchased
or
3 - the app store - log in under the Apple id used to purchase the software or to set up the computer - look under purchases - you might have to unhide or accept the Application first

If a movie i bought on iTunes is now available in HD do i have too buy it again ?
if a movie i bought on itunes is noe available in HD do i have too buy it again?
Usually you have an option of buying the entire CD, or just individual tracks. Calculate which comes out less expensive.
BTW, song versions on EPs are often different than those on the full CD. -

hi, i bought inumbers for my mac air in august. do i have to buy it again for my iPhone 5?
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
There are two differents Numbers versions: Numbers for OS X, and Numbers for iOS.
For your Mac, you purchased Numbers for OS X, so now you can install Numbers on all your Macs as many times as you need for free. However, the iPhone 5 uses Numbers for iOS, so you have to purchase Numbers for iOS in order to get this app onto the phone -

I Just bought Lion for my MacBook Pro. Do I have to buy it again to install it in my Macbook?
Nope. Just login to your Mac App store account on your MacBook, under purchased, re-download it. Then, before you install, do this:

Nice to keep around. -
