sins this morning the new PR1.2 is availeble.
Not much changes.
Already found a BuG
The Calender Noticing (Bday warning) for missed calender warning
When unloching the phone and accept the missed warning.
You get on the screen with the (Bday) notification.
After that you can't close the screen with the CLOSE button below right anymore.

Also, the yahoo email client always connects to the internet after the phone is powered on.

I think that I found a bug in the new iTunes 8.0 PC

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but has anyone notice that when you click on an item "link" in iTunes and if your mouse pointer remains on the link that you just click on, that the page will not move to the link until you move your pointer off the link?
My system:
Vista 64bit
AMD Athlon 3.2Mzh X2 64bit
2gig ddr3 ram
20gig sata hard drive

Its not just you. It does this for me as well. In fact it does the same on some of the buttons as well.

I clearly found a bug in the system...

Basically, here it is:
I open my home folder and all of the normal "content" that is suppose to be there is "there", but all of the file/folder names are blank. Completely invisible, but function normally. Finder relaunch didn't do it, etc... Yeah, I tired it all, permissions, preferences, cache, you name it. Now what? I can see everything, but the name is blank. Anyone else open their home folder and notices this lately?

No I actually have not rebooted yet, mostly because I am on a server machine. I will post back this afternoon if all is fixed. I also need to do a PRAM reset actually. Thanks for that helpful tip. I think I covered everything else though, if not...thanks guys!

Bug in the flex builder installer

I found a bug in the Flex builder installer, while someone
tried to install Flex on top of our EasyEclipse eclipse distro.
I am making a post here since I could not find a way to
report a bug anywhere on the Adobe web site :-\
So the bug is that the installer is looking for an eclipse
installation that is packaged exactly like the Eclipse platform,
but also specifically checks for the presence of features named
org.eclipse.rcp and org.eclipse.platform.
Yet the flex features themselves do not care about other
features only about the platform plugins to be present, as it
shoudl be.
It is considered a bad practice by the Eclipse platform team
to have a dependecy on features, and it is recommended to use
instead plugin depdencies.

As a result, Flex cannot be installed anywhere but on a vanilla
Eclipse.
EasyEclipse does not ship the base features of the Eclipse
platform, yet all the Flex plugins dependencies are statisfied.

Getting back to the original message in this thread, I want
to post an update about what I learned on digging deeper. The Flex
Builder 2.0.1 Plug-in version does not require a vanilla eclipse to
install into, but it does impose some minimal constraints. Before
release, we installed FB 2.0.1 Plug-in successfully with several
customized Eclipse configurations, including RSA7 and BEA, each of
which uses a different folder configuration for its product
extension point.
I took a close look at the dependency list for our FB 2.0.1
features, and these have been plugin-based dependencies all along,
not feature dependencies. I understand why it might appear as if
they're feature-based though, because our installer requires that
the feature named org.eclipse.platform be present.
We have the installer look for that feature, because that's
the way Eclipse's update manager reports what's already installed
and available. Eclipse's commandline API for updates only provides
Feature info, not Plugin info:

The FB Plug-in installer checks for the existence of
org.eclipse.platform so that we have some assurance that the

products such as EasyEclipse that don't include any Eclipse
features in their products.

Bug in the JIT compiler?

I don't know if I have found a bug in the JIT compiler.
uname -a : Linux kiloo-server2 2.6.26-2-amd64 #1 SMP Fri Mar 27 04:02:59 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
java -version:
java version "1.6.0_12";
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_12-b04)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 11.2-b01, mixed mode)
all in our server module runs fine, until we try to rescale/transform an Image from a rss feed. after this a CompilerThread0 is started and never stops.
it just keeps running at 100% on core0
so right now we are running our server module with the -Xint option.. this is of course not an ideal solution.
Before we moved the server module to linux, it was running on a windows machine (the same code), and there was no JIT compilerthreads problems.
Is there anybody who has experienced anything like this, and is there a workaround to it?

Found a bug on ios 7.0.2 with lock and home screen

I have found a bug concerning the lock screen when you open the iphone and you push the screen to the rightt (sorry in french and dong know how to explain correctly)and at the moment you se the lck screen desapear you "take back" the lock screen page by pushing tp the left and then you will have the home page wallpaper on lock screen ( wont work if you have a passcode) and you can't have your default lock screen by putting the phone on sleep mode ... It just not coming back .. You hve to put the iphone on sleep mode without toucching the screen to have your default wallpaper back on lock screen.. (Works on any iphone )
I have another problem to with my batery since ios 7 update my battery goes 100-0% in like 5h .. And i just exchange my iphone because my power button was stuck and i dont have any garanty and its does that for all my friend with iphone 4s running ios 7.0.2
Wish apple could fix those 2 bugs or if anyone as any solution for me pleAse tell me

Bug on the patch - patch_6895046.sql

Hi there,
I was installing the new patch, and found a bug in the file patch_6895046.sql
This file uses the '.' as the decimal character, ignoring that it might be other one. In my database the decimal character is the ',' so I had to change this file.

Word 2011 for Mac Book pro - I have found that my cursor disappears sometimes when I click on a toolbar function. I found out it is a bug, that the Mac loses 'focus'. I can correct it temporarily by clicking on Format - Font - Cancel. Any info?

I have Word 2011 on a Mac Book Pro and have had problems with a dissapearing cursor - it makes editing tricky
After googling it I found out that there is a bug where the Mac loses focus if you click away from the document - it also does this with italics according to other users.
I had a play with it and found out that when I click on the toolbar in a document where this happens, the cursor disappears, e.g. changing font colour etc. And then, when I click on Format - Font - Cancel it returns

BTW (speaking as a Dad of 3 daughters in Grad school) if you don't already have and use a DropBox account, or some other similar online "cloud" based backup of your school documents, you should start doing so immediately. By keeping all of your important documents in the Dropbox folder on your computer, you have instant access to them from any other computer (or iPad), should you be w/o your computer while in for repairs (or if, God forbid, it is stolen). Every time you close a document, it is updated on the Dropbox servers (encrypted), if it is in the Dropbox folder (assuming you give it a few seconds to update before turning off your computer).
