Already Purchased content disappearing

Albums that I have Purchased and already played on my both Itunes and Ipod after syncing are disappearing from my library. Itunes store says they are purchased but giving me no option to re-download the content or buy it again. What do I do in this scenario to retrieve the content I purchased before?

but will itunes let me change stores in my account details and let me buy content from the US store whilst still allowing me to play content bought previously in Europe?
Yes. Once you've purchased a song, you can play it from any computer in the world which is connected to the Internet. iTunes Plus content doesn't require the Internet connection.

  • Changing Stores with already purchased content

    Morning all.
I've recently moved from europe where I have bought content from the local itunes store.
However, I'm now stateside, and would like to continue to buy content occasionally. I can fund my itunes purchases with locally bought itunes cards, so that isn't a problem, but will itunes let me change stores in my account details and let me buy content from the US store whilst still allowing me to play content bought previously in Europe?
    Cheers in advance
    Paul

  • Content disappearing from Apple TV

I am running the latest version of iTunes on my MacBook Pro and syncing this with Apple TV (also fully updated). I have noticed that purchased content disappears from the Apple TV, and in some cases, from the MacBook. For example, I have purchase a season of Stargate Atlantis, downloaded and successfully synced, but then the following day episodes 3 and 5 will be missing from iTunes and Apple TV. They still exist in the backup (within the music library under "TV Shows," but what gives? Why so buggy? Thanks in advance for any comments!!

Well nothing should ever disappear from iTunes, but for the AppleTV. Syncing doesn't really mean all content will always be there. It will sync, Movies, then TV, Music, then Photos in that order. If more spaces is needed for lets say a Movie, it will pull off photos, music, then TV shows in that priority order. The AppleTV I believe is going to try to save room on itself never knowing when you may download a rental or new content from the online store via the AppleTV. It will sync back content if there is room, if not then it will leave it on your computer and then stream when needed. Synced content just allows for faster access and access when computer is not on.

  • HT4623 Why is it that if I synch my iPad and with my laptop the ipad still has to download purchased content although it was already downloaded to the PC?

Why is it that when I synch my iPad with itunes, the purchased content still (especially music and movies) have again to download on the iPad eventhough the content has been downloaded to itunes already?

But where are you seeing evidence of that? Explain what makes you think that they are being downloaded from iCloud? Do you see a cloud icon next to the music and movies on the iPad? That simply means that they are available in iCloud for you to download without having to go to the purchased tabs of the stores on your device if you want to download them again.
You can turn that off in Settings>iTunes and App Store>Show All>Videos>Off and Music>Off.

  • For some reason osx mountain lion has disappeared from my purchases and now when i want to install mountain lion on another mac with the same apple id it wants to charge me for the program even though i have already purchased it. what do i do?

for some reason osx mountain lion has disappeared from my purchases and now when i want to install mountain lion on another mac with the same apple id it wants to charge me for the program even though i have already purchased it. what do i do?

Open the Mac App Store on the other Mac and in the Quick Links sign into your account. See if the Mountain Lion purchase is among hidden apps in the iCloud area of your account info.

after perusing other subjects with playback issues:
    this is the fix:
-Launch Control Panel - Double click Quicktime, If you do not see quicktime, look on the top left side of control panel and switch to classic view. This will then allow you to see Quicktime.
-Now click the advanced tab and click on Safe Mode GDI Only, Apply, then ok.

  • I had purchased an audio book from itunes on my iPad and when I synced my iPad with my computer, my audiobook disappeared. I have already purchased this audiobook, so now I just need to know how to get it back because it is not on iPad anymore.

I had purchased an audio book from itunes on my iPad and when I synced my iPad with my computer, my audiobook disappeared. I have already purchased this audiobook, so now I just need to know how to get it back because it is not on iPad anymore. I don't think the audiobook was backed up to icloud but I have the receipt to prove I purchased it. Is there anyway I can get it back?

"If I purchase an audio book in iTunes on my iPad why can't I listen to it on my Mac? "
You can.  Why do you think you cannot?
If you purchased it on your ipad, then you would have to transfer it to your computer. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
You can then listen to it on your computer.

  • Purchased content downloaded directly to ATV has disappeared

Purchased TV Shows downloaded directly to ATV from iTunes Store has simply disappeared, after many weeks of pleasurable viewing. I remain able to purchase, download and view new content. But my library has disappeared. Where might it have gone?

This same exact thing has happened to me. All of my purchased content has disappeared from my Apple TV and it is not in my iTunes library, yet it still shows in my purchase history. How can I get it back to my apple TV when I can't even see it in iTunes?

  • Syncing iPad without losing purchased content already on the iPad

Rookie question probably, but I've been downloading content in different forms on my iPad for months and I finally want to sync the device with the iTunes on my MacBook Air. When I try to do this, I get a message warning me that any content on my iPad will be deleted as a result of the sync. That's when I hit "cancel". I've had iPhones for years, been syncing them and purchasing content either on the iPhone or the laptop, and this has never been an issue. I don't remember doing anything special with respect to iTunes settings in the case of my iPhone, so what do I do for the iPad? I've backed it up to the iCloud, but I can't say I understand whether iCloud backups are connected to iTunes syncing.

You need to transfer the purchase that you have been making on the iPad into iTunes before you sync. Turn off auto sync first.
iTunes>Preferences>Devices, check the box at the bottom that will prevent the iPad from auto syncing. Click OK. Quit iTunes.
Connect the iPad to the computer and launch iTunes. Right click on the iPad name on the left side under the devices heading - then select - Transfer Purchases. That will put all of the stuff that you have been downloading for months into iTunes. Right click on the iPad name again - select Backup. (More about his at the end.)
Now go into each tab in iTunes, Info, Apps, Music, Photos, Movies - whatever you want to sync. Select all of the content that you want on the iPad. Make sure that all of the headings are checked - Sync Apps, Sync Music, etc. After you have finished making your selections, click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes.
You can turn auto sync on again when you are done if that is how you want to sync.
iCloud backups are separate from iTunes backups. You can use both or either. You can make the choice to backup in iTunes in the Info Pane of iTunes when the iPad is connected to the MBA and with iTunes running and the iPad selected. I wanted you to have a backup in iTunes if you are going to sync with iTunes.

  • I purchased song on ipod but it does not show up. It took my money. When I go to repurchase it says 'already purchased'.  Where the heck is it?

i purchased song on ipod but it does not show up.  It took my money.  When i tried to repurhase it says'already purchased'.  Where the heck is it?

In iTunes select Store > Check for Available Downloads.
If that does not force the content to download, contact iTunes Support.

  • How to re-download an app in US itunes store which i already purchased in china itunes store?

Apps in itunes library disappeared today after i transfered my acount to region from China.
How to redownload these apps?(Of course, I am asking for a method that do not need to transfer my account back to China, pay for them again or sugest the White House to occupy China)

"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location. You can use the iTunes Store in all countries of which you’re a resident, but you’ll either need a separate iTunes Store account for each one, or you’ll need to continually be switching the billing information on your single account. Generally, it’s simpler just to set up an alternative account for these situations, although it’s worth nothing that features like iTunes in the CLoud and iTunes Match are designed to work best when using a single iTunes Store account, as you can only switch accounts with these services every 90 days."

  • If I increase an iBook price from $20 to $25 do to a major edition revision, is there a way for those who already purchased it to update and only pay the $5 difference?

I've recently updated an iBook in iBooks Author and added 30% more content in the second edition. I'd like to raise the price but wanted to know if the people that already purchased the iBook could just pay the additional fee for the new edition, and not have to buy the whole iBook again. I have changed the cover art, but the title of the book is the same, just a second edition. Any help would be much appreciated.
    Patrick

Once purchased, any updates you make to the book will appear to the purchasers as a free update.
Lifting or lowering a  price affects  only new buyers
Like wise I paid for apps which Google  later took over and made them free... I never got my money back!

Either redownload them directly to the iPod by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
or sync them to your iPod via iTunes

  • Apple TV loses purchased content

My aTV has been losing purchased content - and this is the 2nd time that about five purchased movies (out of twenty) suddenly disappeared. While the ATV was paired with a laptop, I have not synced it for a few months as iTunes stopped showing the aTV... and I am sick of debugging this problem.
Last time it happened two months ago, the aTV support (they wanted me to pay for support first) passed me on the a secret iTunes support 800 number who agreed to let me re-download the content.
I have seen others mentioning similar problems. Does anybody understand what is going on and why has Apple been so bad in responding to the problems?

Sorry to reiterate what I aid in another post:
There are an increasing number of reports of this - I think there must be some recent bug to account for it, though it probably doe not affect most users.
    Please send feedback here:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/appletv.html
There were not many reports of this kind of thing until the last couple of months, so it suggests to me something has changed software wise eitherin AppleTV 2.3.1 or recent iTunes updates.

This is not true. Content can and is removed from the iTunes Store by copyright holders, for various reasons, at any time. When this happens the purchased items are no longer available in the purchase history. This is why it is a good idea to always download all purchases and back them up locally.

you are entitled to a refund for that purchase.
    This certainly is not true.
