Already released pr, again comng for pr release in sap inbox

dear friends,
our client is having work flw for PR release.
my user already release PR. but in his sap inbox, again same PR is displaying( in the list of PR's to be release).already released one , again coming in the list of new PR list to be released today.why old, already release PR, again coming for PR release.
kindly advice me in this regard.
your advice are considered valuable.

flemmings

For PR release we need to export and import from both side.
I want to say that if PR is release from your user id then it has exported from that client.
But if it is not get updated in target place then import  has to be done in target place to see changes.
you can check code in both places and find out wether updated code is there or not.
If not then ask the basis person to check and import code in target client.
Rewards if helpful.....................

  • FM for Overdue Entries in SAP inbox

    Hi Everyone.
I am trying to get the list of work items under overdue entries in SAP inbox folder.
Is there any FM to get this list directly.
    Regards,

    Hi Rick,
Thanks for your reply. I tried to check the SWWIHEAD table. I searched a workitem from workflow folder and one from over due entries. For both the work items, the field WI_DH_STAT is same.
I need to get the list of items in overdue folder.

    Hello,
    You could try fm SAP_WAPI_GET_WORKITEM_DETAILS.
Otherwise you can get it from SWWWIHEAD, field WI_DH_STAT.

  • MM:Release Strategy for Release Order again Approved Contract

    Hi,
Release strategy for Release Order is required or not against approved contrat??
As fas as I know once the contract is approved, release order is not required to approve again.
This is the standard setting from SAP or We need to do some setting for this??
In my support project I have studied the release procedure and found that, same release strategy and release Group has been used for Purchase Order and Contract.
Please let me know if anyone have faced this rquirement  or I have to go for Z development for this requirement.
    Thanks you.

    Hi Lalita,
Thank you for your quick suggestion.
yes definitely the release stratergy and release group should be set up separately but here both are same
that is the reason this is  picking of the same release procedure again evenif the contract is approved.
we have following release characterstic for the release procedure.
    1) Purchasing Group
    2)Total Net Order Value
    3)Order Type
    4)Purchase Organisation
    5)Material Group.
I think for the above characterstic we must a separater value for PO and Contract but Currently all are merge
    in this only
But Can you tell me "Release Order should be subjected to release procedure" this is correct or not .
If yes then what is the base for this, I mean is it working on the concept that " If do relevent
release characterstic value is found then no release procedure and this is treated as autorelease in sap"
    Thanks you.

  • CS5 For October Release

I hesitate even to ask this here, but at our last User Group for Flash, one of the attendees mentioned that she had called a vendor to buy CS4 and was told to wait as CS5 was being released this coming October.
Most of us laughed but she swore that's what she was told. I Googled it and found only pirate sites, a site that looks like it's a humorous fake, and something called cs5.org, which had a screenshot of a splash screen purporting to come from CS5.
However, a couple other sites did mention in discussion threads the October release date. I'm still mostly incredulous, but I thought I would ask if anyone else has heard this? I'm not looking for some carved-in-marble guaranty. I just want to know if it's likely? I have little doubt they're trying to bring out 64-bit for the Mac as quickly as they can; it's a great company and that sounds like something they'd try to do. But, that has to be a Herculean effort, and the normal product cycle is about 18 months. I just can't believe CS5 is coming out that soon!
    Anyone? Bueller?
    Thanks,
    Keith

Don't know why anyone would listen to Dov either, it doesn't matter who he is!
The people you actually should be listening to is the tech support guys!
Why are they saying it? probably to stop you wasting your cash on an upgrade.
I guess Adobe has already began training it's tech support ready for CS5.
For the slower ones, who won't understand why we shouldn't listen to Dov.
"No Adobe employee is authorized to discuss product dates with you"
"My name is Dov Isaacs. I am a Principal Scientist in Adobe's print group, have been at Adobe for over 19 years"
    You see the contradiction here?
Any date you say, he has to deny i.e. LIE
You see, if average Joe KNOWS CS5 is just around the corner, he isn't going to buy CS4. Which further hurts Adobe's sales.
Isn't it ironic that the people who tend to sling the IGNORANT tag around tend to be the most ignorant.
    rhys612, et al,
I would suggest restraint in dissing Dov or Bob Levine or Adobe.  We are all students, consumers, pro-sumers and professionals.  In other words, we are all learning.  Some would rather learn bitterly, others would rather learn with patience.  It's a choice one has to make themselves.
After Bob and Dov pointed to Adobe's past history of releases, I did a simple Google search which revealed the following dates:
    CS2 Released approximately April 4, 2005
    CS3 Released approximately April 20, 2007
    CS4 Released October 15, 2008 (From Adobe's 2008 Press Release)
I too was excited when CS4 came out, then frustrated when elements in Production Premium such as Premiere Pro (audio) and Photoshop (printing with Xerox workgroup printers) and Encore (stability) would not work as I expected.  Adobe has been reasonable in getting updates released to fix some of the problems (and introduce new problems in doing so), but it is clear they are working on resolving them.  Positive, patient feedback urges people on with greater zeal to develop better products.  Frankly, I have had more problems with Vista 64 Ultimate stability issues as I work with Xerox, Autodesk and Adobe.  The tendency is to finger point.  Four months ago, I conference called Adobe 3rd level support with Xerox software engineering and we all (including Xerox) determined Xerox was the problem.  Xerox is back at the developers table trying to write new workgroup printer drivers as a result.
MY WISH:  The products were stable out of the box.
THE REALITY:  The products are good, but need updates as users report problems.  Will CS5 fix all that?  Not likely, as the pattern has been the same for all Adobe (and any other company's) software from day one: release it and fix it as users file problem reports.
Why did the Adobe tech support rep I spoke with give me his opinion?  Because he had one.  Was it in line with the Adobe party line?  No.  I took his opinion, did not make a decision with it, but instead did more research.  That led me here.  Here, answers have been given by Adobe staff, not opinions by Adobe contractors.  Perhaps you would be content with their answers.  Then again, perhaps not.  That is your choice.
As for the purported release of CS5 in October 2009, only Adobe will let the market know when that will happen.  We can speculate all we want, but in the end, beating Adobe up or anyone else to get it out sooner won't do any of us any good.  Let's focus on what we can do to help Adobe create a more stable CS4 suite of offerings, while their development team works on getting CS5 feature rich and polished and stable.  Look at how long it took the market to become comfortable with Windows XP, and now corporations are hesitant to install Vista.  Let's help Adobe fix what they have out in the marketplace, so that we can feel like we do with Windows XP - it's mostly stable and usually plays with others just fine.
We have all had to work with similar challenges with other companies, like Microsoft, Symantec, HP, Autodesk, SUN, Xerox, NVIDIA, etc.  Patience and diplomacy perseveres.
    All the best,
    Terry

    3. Changes to be made to Kernel parameters
After installing above mentioned packages, we need to change some Kernel parameters and make them match to Oracle requirements. Parameters which should be changed are shown below

    shmmni     4096
    shmall     2097152

    wmem_max     262144
We do all these changes in the /etc/sysctl.conf file by adding these lines to that file:
    kernel.shmmax = 2147483648
    kernel.shmall = 2097152

    net.core.wmem_default=262144
    net.core.wmem_max=262144
Question: What will be my value for this as my system is 64bit so this all parameter is ok if i put all straight ?

  • Best practice for distributing/releasing J2EE applications.

    Hi All,
We are developing a J2EE application and would like some information on the best
practices to be followed for distributing/releasing J2EE applications, in general.
In particular, the dilemma we have is centered around the generation of stub, skeleton
and additional classes for the application.
Most App. Servers can generate the required classes while deploying the EJBs in the
application i.e. at install time. While some ( BEA Weblogic and IBM Websphere are
two that we are aware of ) allow these classes to be generated before the installation
time and the .ear file containing the additional classes is the one that is uploaded.
For instance, say we have assembled the application "myapp.ear" . There are two ways
in which the classes can be generated. The first is using 'ejbc' ( assume we are
using BEA Weblogic ), which generates the stub, skeleton and additional classes for
the application and returns the file, say, "Deployable_myapp.ear" containing all
the necessary classes and files. This file is the one that is then installed. The
other option is to install the file "myapp.ear" and let the Weblogic App. server
itself, generate the required classes at the installation time.
If the first way, of 'pre-generating' the stubs is followed, does it require us to
separately generate the stubs for each versions of the App. Server that we support
? i.e. if we generate a deployable file having the required classes using the 'ejbc'
of Weblogic Ver5.1, can the same file be installed on Weblogic Ver6.1 or do we
have to generate a separate file?
If the second method, of 'install-time-generation' of stubs is used, what is the
nature/magnitude of the risk that we are taking in terms of the failure of the installation
Any links to useful resources as well as comments/suggestions will be appreciated.
    TIA
    Regards,
    Aasif

Its much easier to distribute schema/data from an older version to a newer one than the other way around. Nearly all SQL Server deployment features supports database version upgrade, and these include the "Copy Database" wizard, BACKUP/RESTORE,
detach/attach, script generation, Microsoft Sync framework, and a few others.
EVEN if you just want to distribute schemas, you may want to distribute the entire database, and then truncate the tables to purge data.
Backing up and restoring your database is by far the most RELIABLE method of distributing it, but it may not be pratical in some cases because you'll need to generate a new backup every time a schema change occurs, but not if you already have an automated
    backup/maintenance routine in your environment.
As an alternative, you can Copy Database functionality in SSMS, although it may present itself unstable in some situations, specially if you are distributing across multiple subnets and/or domains. It will also require you to purge data if/when applicable.
Another option is to detach your database, copy its files, and then attach them in both the source and destination instances. It will generate downtime for your detached databases, so there are better methods for distribution available.
And then there is the previously mentioned method of generating scripts for schema, and then using an INSERT statement or the import data wizard available in SSMS (which is very practical and implements a SSIS package internally that can be saved for repeated
executions). Works fine, not as practical as the other options, but is the best way for distributing databases when their version is being downgraded.
With all this said, there is no "best practice" for this. There are multiple features, each offering their own advantages and downfalls which allow them to align to different business requirements.

  • If PO changes must go to release strategy again

    Dear Expert,
Present release strategy is changable. After final release , PO can be change. My  client want if changes took place  in PO , it should go into release strategy again. please help

    Hi,
Please go to SPRO -> MM -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Release Procedure for Purchase Orders -> Define Release Procedure for Purchase Orders -> Release Indicator
Here you have to maintain Chgable as 6 i.e Changeable, new release in case of new strategy and % Value change as 0.
Please note even if you maintain as above, in case if you are lowering value of PO the changes won't go for release. It will work only when the changes are on positive side. Else you need to use User Exit for same.
    Hope it helps.
    Thnx.

  • BADI for PO release through ME29n

    Hi Experts,
I have to send an IDOC as & when user release the Purchase order from ME29n. I got a user exit 'M06E0004' for release strategy but it sends idoc when i open the Transaction ME29n. Instead of that i have to send it on the click on that release button.
Can anyone please tell me the BADI for this and the method in which i have to write the code for button click to send the IDOC.
    Regards,
    Manish

that means there is no BADI for PO release.
the problem is i dont no these config steps as i never did any config work.
I will try whatever the thread says.
Again i want 1 more BADI for repeat output functionality.  Purchase Order to be automatically re-sent (if changes are made) from the Repeat Output function within ME22n messages. If changes are made the relevant personnel will manually trigger a reprint of the order using the Repeat Output function, this needs to trigger the idoc to be re-sent.

  • Authorization for Cancel Release

    Dear Expert,
Does anyone know what is authorization object to restrict cancel release? Because now if there is 3 level release (ex: E1, E2 and E3) and status release PR already final (E3), user level E1 still can cancel release status in PR and all release status will reset even if follow up document such as PO already created for that PR.
Any solution for this??Really need ur help....
    Thank You,
    Aleluya.

    The auth object is M_EINK_FRG
But, That checks only release code. Not the activity ( Release or Reject)
May be EXIT_SAPLEBND_001 is use ful to control

  • User exit for triggering release strategy

    Hello Experts,
My requirement is when changes are made in purchase order (ME22N) then once again release strategy will have to get trigger.
is the user exits exists for this purpose,if yes, What is it?. I searched alot but not able to find right exits.

    Hello ,
I think you can achieve this via configuration .Basically you want the release strategy to get redetermined based on the changes in the item or if the price of these items increase a certain level .if you  have the release startegy as changeble in the SPRO ticked it will automatically go for new release strategy if you have the value of release indicator set .This can be done SPRO->MM->Purchase order->Release procedure for purchase order->Define release procedure->Release indicator.
    Set  the appropriate value  .
Remember you need to know what is that it retrigger that release strategy .
The link below deals with similar requirement ....

  • Release Group for PR Release Strategy

    Hi ,
When i am trying to define new "Release Group" AA , with Class "Z_PR" (it has Plant and Item Value as charcteristics ) , I am receiving message "Please Check Release Classes" , Message no. ME492.It doesn't allow me to save this new release group.
Please also note that other two release Groups are already available.
Do u know what I am missing  and how can I save my Release group ?
ALSO as per the LONG text of this prompted message
    "Diagnosis
Here you can assign release groups to release classes. Only one release class should be used within the release groups for overall release and the release groups without overall release in each case. However, in this instance several release classes have been used."
    What does it mean ?
    Sandeep

    Hi,
The message has explained the problem.
You cannot have two classes for the same document release and you are tryng to break this rule by adding another entry (the fact that you have give it a different release group does not make any difference this is still another class for the same document.)
You should be able to do what you want without the need for a new release group or additional class, after all everyone else that uses SAP is using one class per document.
Why diod you think that you needed another release group / class?

  • Release Strategy with Workflow for PR & PO

    Hi Experts,
I have configured the PR & PO Release strategy and it is working fine. My client wants the Workflow concept in Releases.
So User should get the information about the releases for PR & PO.
But I don't have much idea on Workflow, how it works for Release strategy. Can anybody give information on how to configure the Release strategy with Workflow in PR & PO.
    Points will be awarded .
    thanks & rgds
    Swamy

    Hi Swamy,
The release workflow is configured by MM functional consultant. As for the workflow determination (i.e. which level should approve first and so forth) depends solely/mainly on the Finance of the company. It differs from one company to another. And the level of approval also differ from one company to another. Hence, like you mentioned, this would be provided by the user, so it is okay. I have replied to someone on another thread asking about workflow, and this is how it works.
How it works? For example, for a PR release strategy, once the PR is raised by a user for a certain value, the PR raised that matched the classification of the release strategy configured will be triggered. In this sense, once the release strategy is triggered, the releaser holding the release code to release this PR will receive a workflow in their SAP inbox (Not Outlook) for their execution, which is sent automatically by SAP system. These is accessible via the t-code SBWP. Each releaser have a unique login ID and password.
Assuming the release strategy required 3 levels of release, for example A3, A2 and finally A1 (final release), A3 will first receive this workflow in his/her inbox. After A3 has released, A2 will subsequently receive workflow in his/her inbox for this same PR. In the PR, you will be able to see that A2 release is now possible. This flow will continue until the final releaser, A1 and then, the status of the PR will be unblocked for issuance of PO.
How is it configured in SPRO? In the Workflow for PR release strategy, you are able to assign a unique ID (usually employee ID) to a particular release code, which these release codes are tied to one or more release strategies. The workflow determines who is to release for a release strategy with that particular release code via the assignment of the ID to that particular release code. Each assignment is only possible for one Plant, and you have to assign the same for many other Plants for the same ID in the workflow if you want him/her to have the authority to release purchasing docs in more than one Plant.
    How to configure?
Before that, you need to obtain the following information - User ID of the releaser for the specified release code, Plant to be released by the user, and finally of course the Group and Release code (which you already have).
    For PR: IMG>MM>Purchasing>Purchase Requisition>Release Procedure>Procedure with Classification>Set Up Procedure with Classification-->Workflow
For PO: IMG>MM>Purchasing>Purchase Order>Release Procedure for Purchase Orders>Define Release Procedure for Purchase Orders>Workflow.
Maintain the details u already have in hand:
For PR: Group (PR or PO), Code (release code), Plant (you have to maintain the same details for each of the Plant that the same release code releases) Object (US) and Agent ID (the user's ID used to login to SAP system and SBWP).
For PO: Group (PR or PO), Code (release code), Object (US) and Agent ID (the user's ID used to login to SAP system and SBWP).
Please note that PO is not Plant specific, and is usually one releaser to release the PO for GR. It is the PR that during the initial stage has the most level of release (up to max. 8 level) before a PR can be converted to PO.  After the PO is converted, it is usually deemed accepted, hence only one release code is usually required to release the PO.
Hope this will give you an idea how the workflow works and how to configure it.
    Rgds.
