Alt + Scroll will not zoom in until finished scrolling; lags while zooms in (Mac)
I'm using Illustrator and the newest mac pro running the most updated version of os x mavericks, with a bluetooth trackpad as a mouse.
I try to alt + scroll to zoom in but illustrator won't start zooming until I finish scrolling. It is extremely jerky while zooming in.
This makes it impossible to use this feature and is disrupting my work flow quite a bit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Every time I try to download anything firefox stops responding and will not do anything until I restart it. Can I revert back to a previous version, or is there a fix for it? The unlocked IPhone 4S models will not be available until November, Why is that? Why would Apple do that? I should be able to buy a factory unlocked Apple iPhone 4S when it comes out! I travel all over the world, and so that is why I need one like that. It is unfair to the consumer, and frankly turning away customers like myself willing to pay high dollar to Apple for their product, who can I speak with to complain about this, because I know their are factory unlocked iPhone 4S' sitting in a warehouse somewhere just waiting to be shipped, and I want one. I know why, cause Apple signed contracts with each carrier so the carrier could increase their sales making customers sign 2 year contracts, I get it, I own my own business, but the delay of releasing factory unlocked ones is just not right and I should be able to buy one without having to buy it over in the UK where it is unlocked when it comes out right away, I should be able to buy it in my own country! These business practices we practice in the US need to stop, their is a demand that needs to be met with consumers like myself who don't need subsidized iPhone's with 2 year contracts with carriers and don't mine paying full price for an unlocked one, it is unethical in a sense, forcing the customer to buy it with a carrier contract and NOT giving the customer the option to buy it full price and own it themselves, OR, making the consumer wait a month for that option to be available. THEY SHOULD BE RELEASED AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!! THAT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO!!!!!!
Apple can contact me and I will proudly pay for one. But making me wait a month for an unlocked one, puts AT&T, Sprint & Verizon's interests before mine, and that is not right, for it is MY money that keeps you guys in business, so my best interests should come first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I understand your frustration, but when any form of rationing is required you have to prioritise. The number of unlocked vs packaged phones will be quite small and the number of unlocked buyers wishing to upgrade immediately will be smaller still. Against this you have the corporations sharing $billions between them.

I have upgraded my iMac to Yosemite but now my two Canon Printers no longer print from Photoshop CS6. I have upgraded the drivers. All other applications including Lightroom are fine. I am receiving an error message as follows:"There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents." How can I get the OS to return a list of printers to Photoshop when Photoshop requests a list.

Printing from PS CC worked fine today. I made no changes to preferences. In between working with 2 projects, the first one printed fine, the second gave me this Error Message.
There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents.
Now I've checked for updates for my printer, reset my printer, reset PS CC preferences, picked my printer as Default and Last Used, and rebooted. I've followed all the recommended fixes for this issue I could find here and on the internet. I can print fine from any other program. Alas, the error message keeps popping up and I can't print.

PROBLEM: Cannot print from Photoshop
After restart error message appears:
— “There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents.”
• All print commands are greyed out and unavailable — even to call up the printer commands cannot be done.
The printer printed fine until about 2 weeks ago when this error message appeared. Printing continues from Pages, I-photo, preview etc. — only Photoshop fails.
The printer has been turned on and off, as have open documents been closed and open etc.. Preferences reset. Repeatedly I have read through blogs and forums and attempted to contact Adobe — all without results
Epson support struggled to find reason and several solutions were tried and they assume this is an Adobe problem.

I've never had this problem before. It only affects Photoshop CS6 and CS5 that I have installed. I'm running MAC OS 10.9.5
I have three printers and HP and two Epsons, and I get this dialogue when trying to print from Photoshop CS6 or CS5.
There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents.
Other applications print fine on all three printers. I tried deleting the Photoshop Prefs numerous times without results.
Does anyone have an answer for this?

Using Photoshop CS6 and after printing approx. 10 cards on an Epson R3000 printer the program gives me a dialog box saying "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents." Even after closing and reopening the program, the print command is greyed out so I cannot select any printer. This also happens with a Brother laser printer. Both printers will produce a test page out side of the Adobe product. Help!
I cannot get any help either. I get the message "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents." I have reinstalled all drivers, powered off/on all printers (2 of them - a Brother HL - 4040cn and an Epson Stylus Pro 7890 - which all worked fine until this morning). There appears to be no path to a solution. I have read all the forums and tried about 20 different suggestions all to no avail. Reboots, changing cables, reinstalling printers and drivers and Photoshop CS6 - ALL TO NO AVAIL. On a macbook pro retina with 10.10.3. This issue is out there and some get solutions - but not all - that's my crowd...the not all crowd. I have yet to be able to print from CS6 any more. This is a show stopper and my patience is wearing thin. And I'm tired of stupid questions like "is your printer powered on?" give me a break. This appears to be an adobe photoshop cs6 problem - as I can print from every other application. Anyone have any ideas? Adobe should have something?... Adobe system info below:

OS 10.6.8 on documents created by Pages 3 will not open
They want a Version 4 while my iMac does not install because it needs 4 Pages 10.7. But I can not install 10.7 because my iMac is not Core2 duo ... Galaxy S4 will not make or receive calls or texts while connected to home wifi?
Recently, My Galaxy S4 will not make or receive calls or texts while connected to my home WIFI. The status bar WIFI icon is highlighted and the Connection Bar icon has 0 bars. When I check the WIFI connection in "settings" the status is connected and shows very strong strength. Any time I try to make a call or send a text I get a "no network error message" and basically I am dead in the water as far as cell phone use is concerned. My S4 is my primary phone for home and business use and is very inconvenient when I am missing calls, etc. I have done a phone reset and removed SIM Card as well as a rest. Please advise.
jlrwillis, I know this would concern me just the same and we definitely want to figure this out for you. How long has this been going on? Since you started experiencing the issue have there been any changes to the device? Software updates, application downloads, or damage to the device? If WiFi is off while at home do you see that you are connected to cellular service? Are you able to make a call that way?

Kensington mouse scroll will not work in firefox but does in other apps
In all other application my scroll works fine, but in Firefox it will not work. I have tried switching the settings and still got nothing. I also check for driver updates on the mouse driver but they are up to date.

if websites report that javascript is disabled, try the following: enter '''about:config''' into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named '''javascript.enabled'''. make sure that it is set to '''true''' and else double-click it in order to change its value.
if this doesn't help, please also make sure that you don't have any extensions (like noscript) installed, that might block the execution of javascript or other active content...

System Settings will not save my desired mouse scroll direction
I understand the Apple genius of wanting the Settings: Mouse: Scroll direction: Natural box to be checked. But **** it, this is MY iMac and I want the scroll direction to remain Unchecked, so the screen scrolls in the direction I’ve been used to for YEARS.
The problem is the System Settings will not save the unchecked scroll box. I have to return to the System Settings every time I log on to UN check the Scroll Direction: Natural box.
Will Apple ever fix this so that I, and others, can operate the scrolling as THEIR LONG-TIME USER sees fit?Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.
