    Hi,
" I just installed win 10 on my laptop too see if this problem exists there...
    it doesnt :D"
Does this issue happen in Windows 10 Technical Preview or not?
If you don't start the game, and press alt-tab to switch between other applications, does it have a delay?
Meanwhile, update the graphic driver to make the game more smoothly.
Or it's game ot hardware related, see some explanation in the link below

  • Get back to Mac from Win 7

I'm not sure how I managed to do this but...
I deleted my VmareFusion partition with win7, and vmware fusion.
    Then I upgraded to Lion.
    Then...
I created a new partition using Bootcamp assistant and then re-installed Win7.
At some point, when I was away from the computer, it turned off.
I restarted it and went into system preferences and set it to boot to the new partition and then rebooted it,
and it completed the Win7 install.
But now I cannot get back to Mac. It only boots up to win7.
I am working away from home and do not have my snow leopard startup disk..
How can I get back to Mac, and properly set it up to ask me which partition to boot from upon startup?
    Thanks.

Boot your Mac while holding down the Alt/Option-key until the Boot Selection screen is shown.
Choose your OSX to boot from.
Once in OSX go to System Preferences - Startup Volume and set your OSX to be the default.

  • How do I get back to my desktop?

How do I get back to my desktop with all my icons there while I have multiple windows open without closing any windows.  I would think I could press a keyboard button to get there.  I know if I have multiple windows open and I press F4 it takes me directly to my window of widgets that I use often and when I press F4 again it takes me back to all the windows that I have open.

Got the solution.  I went on Mac Forums and someone there told me what to do.
He said press the FN key and then press F11.  That's fantastic.  Just what I wanted.
It takes you right to your desktop and when you press it again it will take you back to the window you were in.
    Try it.

It sounds like you destroyed your boot partition and the recovery partition.  Depending on it's age, your MacBook Air might be able to do a net boot.  Plug and ethernet connection into it and attempt to boot.  If it has the right firmware, it will find a net boot configuration on the net and boot that.  Then it will give you a Recovery Partition like display and allow you to reinstall the OS X version that came with it.... assuming that it was Lion or ML.  If your computer came with Snow Leopard, then even the net boot won't work.
At that point you need a bootable USB Key, or an external DVD drive AND a Snow Leopard installation DVD.
An Apple Store, if there is one nearby, MAY be able to get you going again.  However, whatever is on the SSD now will be toast too.

That doesn't sound good. It sounds like the power outage might have corrupted the partition for OS X. I would suggest booting from the Install DVD that came with your Mac while holding down the C key. Once you have selected the language start up Disk Utility from the pull down menu and repair the disk. Once you have done that then repair permissions also.

Just installed Yosemite okay.  But Safari window stays open, cannot close to get back to my desktop. No "red button" on the screen.

You might have full screen enabled. Try File menu: Quit or key commands: Command + Q. Or, just hit the Escape key (esc).

  • I have connected my new Macbook Air to my existing Samsung large external monitor with a VGA adaptor but I can't get the full mac desktop to display. No icons but then websites are coming up. Help!

I have connected my new Macbook Air to my existing Samsung large external monitor with a VGA adaptor but I can't get the full mac desktop to display. No icons but then websites are coming up. Help!  Further info:  I am a complete newbie to Mac.  Had three macs prior to 2000 then four PCs.  Just come back and struggling a bit with the unfamiliarity. On my old PC laptop I could simply switch from the laptop screen to the large external monitor (and back)  with the F4 function key.  While I can get the background image from my MBA to display, that's it.  Until I noticed on the far left of the external monitor, the very edge of one of the web pages I was on.  So Idragged it over to display in the centre.  But that's all that's there.  And now I have gone out of those web pages but they are still displaying on the monitor.  There is some wierd disconnect.  I'm sure it is just a setting thing.  Will keep searching for answer but any advice welcome!

Your dsplay is getting extended onto the external monitor. Chcnage the setting to duplicate it or only display on the external monitor and you should be fine,
Let me know if this worked for you.

  • Window 7 has taken over my IMac and I can't get back to Mac OS

I have been running window 7 with bootcamp for about a month. Until recently, I could click the bootcamp icon in the windows systray and restart in Mac OS. Well, this week, I could no longer see the Bootcamp icon in the systray. Right clicking on the systray would bring up a window with options for various "hidden icons" one of which was the Bootcamp icon. I changed the status from "show only messages" to "always show" but still couldn't see the icon. So I clicked on the option to "show all icons on taskbar" and still can't see the bootcamp icon and now can't get back to the "options menu" ;(
I've tried rebooting while holding down the alt key....restarts in windows both with restart and shut down and then restart
I've tried entering the command at the command line as suggested in an apple help doc,(it's a long command and I don't have it handy but I copied it from the web page) but that just gives a "command not recognized" error.
What happened to my BootCamp!? and how can I get to the Mac OS?
    TIA

Check your control panels which is where that shortcut goes anyway.
Holding x on startup should also boot into Mac OS.
Boot from OS X DVD and go to Utility menu => Disk Utility, and repair your Mac partition.
You may want to do some maintenance on Windows as well.

  • I can't get back into Mac OS X; it just loads eternally.

I've been running BootCamp on my MacBook Pro perfectly for months now but today I just can't seem to get back into the Mac partition (OS X 10.6.8). I was playing a game on my Windows (Vista) partition for several hours then restarted the computer. As the start up drive is set to Mac, it started to attempt to load it. It was just stuck at the grey screen with the Apple in the middle and the endless rotating circle. Then as I waited longer the Apple turned into a "no access" symbol (the circle with a line across it) and the rotating circle just kept going and going. I waited several minutes but no luck.
So I held down the power button and this time instead of letting it auto boot Mac I held down Option and chose Mac drive myself (it was an option therefore the computer does recognize that the Mac partition is there). Same result. I rebooted into Windows (which it is still able to do with no problems at all) then went to the BootCamp assistant and pressed "Restart into Mac OS X". Same result.
I've googled it and no one seems to have had this problem. Any insight at all would be great. Thanks.

Or.... even hold down the X key while starting up.

  • How to get back into Mac OS X Leopard after installin Bootcamp

OK have finally installed Bootcamp and now want to get back to the safe world of Mac again, however although I have been following the instructions in the manual which tell me either to...
    a) set the default operating system in Windows by clicking on the Boot Camp system tray item (which doesn't seem to exist) or if it does is so hidden that I cannot find it, or,
    b) select an operating system during startup by holding down the option key (which is impossible as I don't have such a key on my non mac wired keyboard)
neither of them seem to work. Whatever I do I cannot get back into my Mac operating system.
If anyone has any ideas as to what I can try I would appreciate your help.
    Thanks

    Hello:
I believe the following should help. In Windows XP, make your way to C:\Program Files\Bootcamp. You should see an icon labeled "kbdMgr". Double click that and look for the tab labeled "Startup Disk". Click your Mac OS volume as the startup disk. By now, you should also see the gray diamond for the Bootcamp manager in your system tray. Clicking that brings up a menu that allows you to restart in Mac OSX or enter the Bootcamp control panel where you can select a startup disk.

  • Please help me I had installed windows using bootcamp assistant and forget to get back to Mac OS while starting by using that specific keys

    Help me

It's normal for the Mac to set the Windows partition as the default startup disk when installing Windows since it will restart a couple of times during the install.
One way to get back to OS X is to restart and hold down the Option key. You'll get a display of the various drives you can boot to. Double click on the OS X drive.
An Option key boot is a temporary choice, and your Mac will continue to boot to Windows by default. To change that, once you're back in OS X, open the System Preferences and click on the Startup Disk icon. Click on the OS X drive to make it the default choice.
