Altering Adobe Muse Form Code

Hello
I am using a CRM software called Infusionsoft and it runs my online marketing campaigns. I need to add some code to my forms that will ensure the form that is filled in in on my site that was created in Muse, points to my Infusionsoft campaign.
If I alter the code in BC, will my next upload of the site from muse overwrite the form code?
Please let me know if anyone has done this successfully?

Hi Rebecca,
Yes, if you will alter the code in BC, then next upload from Muse will over write the existing code. As a work around, create a form in BC. There is "More option" button on the form. Click it and click "Customize form". Add your code to the form, get the HTML code of the form and add it to your muse page. This should help you achieve what you are looking for.

Adobe Muse Forms and GoDaddy

Has anyone come up with a solution for the consistent problem between Adobe Muse forms and GoDaddy hosting? I just spent an hour with GoDaddy and they said everything on their end was working. It was a script problem. I can't seem to get any answers from either Adobe or GoDaddy.

From your description is seems clear the issue is not with the Muse generated scripts. Those are identical regardless of what e-mail address you're sending to. If sending to your personal e-mail address works, but sending to an address on the same domain as the site does not, that most likely indicates one of two things: 1) The e-mail address is not setup correctly. (I assume that's not the case and you can send to the address from other sources without issue?) 2) Or, something on the server is configured to block e-mail from being sent to addresses on the domain of the site. Some hosting providers do this by default.
I expect this case is the latter and you have yet to reach a tech at GoDaddy who's familiar with this aspect of their e-mail processing via PHP sendMail.
The lack of SQL is a non-issue. SQL is not required for the correct processing of your form. When available SQL is used to limit the number of form submissions that will be accepted from a single IP address (site visitor) in a short amount of time. This "throttling" is performed to limit submissions from spammer's robots. Your form will work fine regardless of whether SQL is available. If you do receive spam from your form, adding a CAPTCHA is more effective at reducing or completely eliminating spam. Another less cumbersome method for site visitor's is simply to add a required checkbox will a label of something like "I'm a human" since spammer's robots will frequently not figure out they need to check the checkbox in order to get the form to submit.
There's nothing Muse can do to avoid a restriction on the server that prevents specific e-mail addresses from being sent to, short of providing or connecting to a completely different e-mail processing service than what's provided with your hosting. We may provide that option at some point in the future (for other reasons), but that's not an option right now.
If GoDaddy's support continues to point at Muse when told that sending to e-mail addresses not on the site's domain works fine and sending to addresses on the site's domain does not, and also told there's absolutely no difference in the PHP code for the two cases, then send me an e-mail and we'll talk to GoDaddy together. How to add a slider widget to Adobe Muse form?

I have a form at http://www.magneticmarketing.me/logo-design.html that includes a large section that requires someone to rate their company between 1-10 in like 14 categories. This looks very chaotic as I currently have this as a general form format. I would like to run all of these into slider widgets? Is there any way to integrate this into the Adobe Muse form? If not, does anyone know of any third party form providers that would be good for this task?

You can try to use composition and then insert form in target area , where user on click to trigger can access the form but this would require to create separate forms for specific sections.
Or you can create forms and then change action url of the form which on submission will take to different page where the user will fill out next form and so on.
In both cases you have to create separate forms and use them like one single form.

Adobe Muse html code and Constant Contact

Muse noobie question re: Adobe Muse html code and Constant Contact
We use Constant Contact for our email marketing. We prefer to generate our own html code and insert into Constant Contact. It has worked great for us in the past and bypasses and somewhat cumbserome Constant Contact interface.
We tried inserting html code from Muse and the results were surprising:
Any rectangles created were simply gone. Not showing. No colors, no outlines just gone.
Text formating was way off in size and fonts. Spacing issues too.
Page not centered. It looks centered in various browsers
Any suggestions please?

It's not going to work.
The HTML/CSS/JavaScript abilities and requirements for browsers are vastly different that those of e-mail clients. The output of Adobe Muse relies on external CSS files and JavaScript, both of which are not available in most e-mail clients.

As confirmed by you Muse is asking for serial numer on launch. Most of the time this happens because of Hosts file on the machine.
Please go ahead and rename the hosts file on your machine and you should be all set. here are the steps for both MAC and Windows.
Windows:
1. Go to following location. C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
2. Rename the file "Hosts" to "hostsold"
3 Relaunch Muse and sign in with your Adobe ID, you should be all set.
MAC:
1. Go to Finder > Go > Go to Folder
2. Type /etc and hit Return
3. Rename the file "Hosts" to "hostsold"
4. Relaunch Muse and sign in with your Adobe ID, you should be all set.

Adobe Muse form with 3rd party host is not working

I have uploaded a form with Adobe Muse to a 3rd party host. Upon testing the link scripts/form_check.php, I see 3 green checkmarks. Upon testing the form, the form appears to submit successfully, however I never receive the email.
I checked with the hosting company and this is what they said:
...this form is using localhost smtp of webserver which was stopped due to spamming issues...actually, localhost doesn't have proper rDNS record and the return path for all mails is the server itself, so whenever a client uses its domain for spamming the server's mail queue gets choked and creates issues for others. So we generally do not open localhost smtp and recommend users to use proper SMTP Authentication so that each mail will be delivered and won't create issues for server even if someone does spamming because in that case all mails will bounce back to the mailbox. So, we recommend you to use smtp authentication in the form and use proper smtp details to send mail.
Please provide a recommendation on what I should do to resolve this? Is there a way to modify the form so that it uses proper SMTP Authentication instead of Localhost?

Thanks. I have written Programm, but it does not work as i want it to do. I will send an Email with attached Adobe Interactive Firm to [email protected]. I tried it with "*lo_recipient = cl_sapuser_bcs=>create( sy-uname )" at the marked(bold, fat) position. It worked but the Email was send to my SAP-Account, but i want to send to [email protected], so I tried this (see at code in bold, fat):

WHY IS NO ONE ANSWERING ME?? ADOBE MUSE ERROR CODE 3128

I have posted several times and no one answers me. I have lost my entire site. I had it stored on an external hard drive. I hear now that those files can get corrupted. Now it won't let me move the muse file to my desk top. Right now my entire site is LOST which I had been working on for 3 months. I thought I was safe storing everything on an external drive. Attached are all the error codes I get. Can someone please get back to me? I am a member for over a year and have never even used support. Now that I need it no one answers me back.

Could you please share your .muse file with us to investigate? Please email it to [email protected] If your file is greater than 30MB you can use something like Adobe SendNow or SendThisFile. Please do not forget to mention the link to this forum thread in your e-mail (along with the OS/Muse/Air version you're using) so that we can identify the file.

Is it possible to add a "Thank you for your submission" using Adobe Muse Forms

Instead of the form resetting I was wondering if it were possible for a message to appear.
Sometimes the words Form Received appear next to the Submit button, can this be edited?

Hi Penny,
You have a couple options:
1 - You can indeed edit the text that appears next to the button using the states panel and then just edit the text.
2 - If you need to add more info that such as going to a full thank you page with perhaps a download or some other information; you can select another page to be redirected to after submitting in the form properties panel.

I understand your concern, But Jotform allows to use his basic webforms for free. Without ads on your forms, no backlink to jotform required and many other feature. They have large numbers of webforms that comes under premium usage, and charge is $9.99/month. According to their FAQ's, they do not share/sell the data submitted via your webform, here is the statement

Yes, your data belongs to you. We do not share or sell any user data. We also do not access your data for any non-administrative purposes.

Adobe Muse forms problems?

When I create a form the second single line text doesn't allow me to unclick the require entry box! When I use the simple form from the widgets the single line text still doesn't allow me to unclick the require entry option. Though when I publish it on business catalyst and fill it out the form it gets sent to me! Though as soon as I add more single line text fields the second line text still doesn't give me the option to unclick the require entry box! Though as soon as I publish it on business catalyst and try it out the form I created with more single line fields I can't submit it as that second field box always says it is required although I did fill it out! I don't get it!

Could you please check if same happens when you try it with a new site?
