I have used the Redirection :
When user browse abc.com over intranet it takes Credential when the Team site is loaded. Is it possible it takes Credentials on next step - loading at
/identity management/default.aspx site
But OVER INTERNET It redirects and giving error :
/identity management/default.aspx site is not found.

  • How to configure my SharePoint url as public url?

    I am accessible my SharePoint url within domain,But i need to configure it publically how should i configure?

    Hi Swapnil
    Alternate Access mapping can be used for this.
    Alternate access mappings enable a Web application that receives a request for an internal URL, in one of the five authentication zones, to return pages that contain links to the public URL for the zone

  • Sharepoint 2010 appended port number in the public URL when redirect

    I'm new in sharepoint so please bear with me.
    We have a sharepoint deployment that has 4 WFEs, each WFE has 4 sites, all on a different port number.  For example;
    Site 1: http://site1.server1:11111
    Site 2: http://site1.server1:22222
    Site 3: http://site1.server1:33333
    Site 4: http://site1.server1:44444
    We have a load balancer that use a public URL to all these sites.  For example;
    Site 1: http://site1
    Site 2: http://site2
    Site 3: http://site3
    Site 4: http://site4
    Here is the problem.  Some of the link in the sharepoint site, when click, the URL is appended with the port number at the end of the public URL.  For example, http://site1:11111.
    I tried playing around with the AAM but it doesnt yield anything.  Any advise from the expert would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    Look at your default AAM.  This controls how the URL is appended or not.  You also need to look at the site bindings in IIS and make sure you have them for each site, for port 80.  And you need an alternate access mapping that routes site.server:Port
    to site if your desired outcome is to have any load balanced call route back to the default alternate access mapping of http://site1
    you would have a binding on http://site1 on port 80 in iis, and a host header associated with this site.
    Also, if you are using path based sites, this will only work for one site.  You can tell if you're using path based site collections if you see a / in front of their names inside view all site collections.
    Microsoft recommends using Host named site collections, check out this technet

  • The URLs mapped as Internal Url of AAM redirects to Public Url while accessing

    Hi All,
    I have created a web application in Internet Zone with the url "http://new.site.com". Then used that url as public url and mapped 10 internal url to it. The internal urls are like http://new.site1.com,http://new.site2.com,http://new.site3.com,http://new.site4.com,http://new.site5.com,http://new.site6.com
    etc.,
    The host headers has been added to those URLs in IIS also. When I tried to hit the http://new.site1.com, the address bar shows the url as http://new.site.com. The same case when i tried to hit all the other 9 urls.
    But I need the internal urls to be displayed in address bar if the user types it. Kindly help me to resolve this issue.
    Thanks

    hi,
    refrence from the article
    http://blog.blksthl.com/2012/12/03/a-guide-to-alternate-access-mappings-basics-in-sharepoint-2013/
    Left area            Internal
    URL’s
    Right area          Public
    URL’s with a zone
    Middle area        Zones,
    is what connects Internal URL’s to Public URL’s, many to one.
    Internal URL redirects or transforms to a Public URL, from left, to right. The URL on the left, is what you
    enter in the address field in your browser, the Public URL on the right is what you will see once there, this goes for visible and invisible links as well.
    Internal URL format: Protocol + URL (+non default port)
    Public URL is the address of the Web Application for one of the five zones available. The ‘Default’ must be filled out and has some special properties/uses,
    the other four are optional. You can only have five Public URL’s per Web Application.
    This is the URL that the browser will be redirected to in the end.
    Public URL format: Protocol + URL (+non default port)
    Zone is a label representing a Public URL, the zone is used to ‘connect’ an Internal
    URL to a Public URL. The zone names has no relation what so ever with the four Internet Explorer security zones (Internet,
    Local Intranet, Trusted sites and Restricted sites) and could just as easily been named 1,2,3,4 and 5. A zone can also represent an authentication provider.
    Zones: Default, Intranet, Internet, Custom, Extranet
    so it clearly says that Internal url will not be shown in browser only public URL will be shown.
    So in your case i suppose what you want to try is not possible.

    I want these URLs to connect to Public Urls
    1) fimportal.com
    2) fimregportal.com
    3) fimresportal.com
    I have tried for FIM PORTAL- Alternate MAPPING USING DNS -- but it's goin to TEAM SITE and then we provide Credentials >> then All SITE CONTENT >> then Microsoft Forefront Identity
    Then we have the portal.
    We want whenever user browse "fimportal.com" >> goes to http://<appserver name>:8080/default.aspx  url >> ask for credentials >> Fim Portal.

    FIM Password Registration Portal :
    Open the 8080 Port.
    Add a “A” Record for http://<appserver name>:8080/default.aspx in
    DNS and pointing it to Public IP.
    FIM Password Reset Portal :
    Open the 8081 Port.
    Add a “A” Record for  http://<appserver name>:8081/default.aspx  in

    FIM Portal:
    We can Redirect to the FIM Portal.

  • Public URL for Synchronous SOAP to RFC scenario

    Hello  Everyone,
    I have synchronous SOAP to RFC scenario.
    i have created the http URL for testing environment through sender agreement.
    However, now the user wants a public URL and that too secured one ... means (  https  ) in production.
    i tried this blog, but Service registry is not configured in our landscape.
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/23725
    is there any other way ..?
    Regards,
    Ravi

    The process of creating the wsdl will remain same. The url in your case will start with HTTPS instead of HTTP. Note that the port at which HTTPS data would be received will be different than HTTP port and thererfore you need to change that as well. You don't have to set any client authentication unless there is a business requirement. You may simply use certificates for SSL.
    In some cases, if PI always receives data through web-dipatcher (ask your network team), then the data hostname and port of web-dispatcher should be used.

  • SharePoint Search encodes the URL incorrectly when there are special characters in a filename on a file share

    In our Sharepoint Server 2013 CA, Search Administration, Content Sources, we have configured a File Share Content Source.
    Search queryes works fine and it returns relevant documents from the file share content source.
    But when click on a file with a filename that contains special characters like "ÁÝÚÍÓÐ", Sharepoint encodes the link to the file incorect, and when we click on the link to the file, it throws an error on the screen saying "This
    page can’t be displayed".
    The following picture shows an example on how Sharepoint shows encodes the URL to a file with a special character in the filename:
    As you can see, the link to the file is
    \\xserver1\felagstest\Kompliserað\Ólavur.pdf, but when I hoover over the file, it translates og encodes this to
    \\xserver1\Felagstest\Kompliserað\Ólavur.pdf. If I manually type the correct link in the address field in Internet Explorer then it works.
    What is the problem here, and more importently what is the solution to this problem?

    This is solved in the Hotfix KB 2899469 for SharePoint Server 2013 October 14, 2014:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/stefan_gossner/archive/2014/10/14/october-2014-cu-for-sharepoint-2013-has-been-released.aspx
    I installed the http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2899469 hotfix, and now I can search and open files on external file shares with path and filenames containing non-US-ASCII characters,
    without getting "This page can’t be displayed".
    Where in the description of this hotfix is written, that it solves the encoding issue?

  • Map SMTP port on multiple Public IPs to single private IP.

    Hello,
    we have a need to map smtp on multiple external public IPs to a single Internal IP. We need https,www, and pop3 for the external IP to go to one internal, and smtp to go to a different internal.
    What we'd like to do:
    static (inside,outside) tcp <ip1>.39 80 10.1.1.63 http
    static (inside,outside) tcp <ip1>.39 pop3 10.1.1.63 pop3
    static (inside,outside) tcp <ip1>.39 https 10.1.1.63 https
    static (inside,outside) tcp <ip1>.39 smtp 10.1.1.41 smtp
    static (inside,outside) tcp <ip2>.40 80 10.1.1.64 http
    static (inside,outside) tcp <ip2>.40 pop3 10.1.1.64 pop3
    static (inside,outside) tcp <ip2>.40 https 10.1.1.64 https
    static (inside,outside) tcp <ip2>.40 smtp 10.1.1.41 smtp
    But the PIX cries about overlapping NAT statements.
    We need this because we're an IT outsourcing company and we typically manage our customer's DNS zones. Of course, in every bunch there's an exception and one customer has their DNS hosted elsewhere. We changed the necessary DNS on our side for our customers when we made a mail change (which is close to 100 customers), but when we did this it broke this one-of customer. The DNS hoster for the customer is a little one-man shop and the guy is out of the office for two weeks. What a mess. For some reason their DNS is not using our MX record, so it broke when we made our upgrade.
    Is there any way we can accomplish anythign similar to what we're trying to do? This is a PIX 515E with 7.0(6) Thanks.

    Ok, we found a work-around that wil be fine for now. We added a 2nd IP to the 10.1.1.41 server and just the .39 server to that. So we're only using 1 server for the time being, but that's ok.

    Well the 9x forum does not have a lot of activity lately.
    No, whether to have a separate forum for Vista has been debated, but given
    the slow adoption of Vista and the relatively few Vista-specific
    questions, we have decided to keep questions in the winnt-2x-xp forum for
    now.

  • How do I use Sun Web Server 7.0u1 reverse proxy to change public URLs?

    Some of our installations use the Sun Web Server 7.0 (update 1, usually)
    for hosting some of the public resource and reverse-proxying other parts
    of the URI namespace from other backend servers (content, application
    and other types of servers).
    So far every type of backend server served a unique part of the namespace
    and there was no collision of names, and the backend resources were
    published in a one-to-one manner. That is, a backend resource like, say,
    http://appserver:8080/content/page.html would be published in the internet
    as http://www.publicsite.com/content/page.html
    I was recently asked to research whether we can rename some parts of
    the public URI namespace, to publish some or all resources as, say,
    http://www.publicsite.com/data/page.html while using the same backend
    resources.
    Another quest, possibly related in solution, was to make a tidy url for the
    first page the user opens of the site. That is, in the current solution when
    a visitor types the url "www.publicsite.com" in his or her browser, our web
    server returns an HTTP-302 redirect to the actual first page URL, so the
    browser sends a second request (and changes the URL in its location bar).
    One customer said that it is not "tidy". They don't want the URL to change
    right upon first rendering the page. They want the root page to be rendered
    instantly i the first HTTP request.
    So far I found that I can't solve these problems. I believe these problems
    share a solution because it relies on ability to control the actual URI strings
    requested by Sun Web Server from backend servers.
    Some details follow, now:
    It seems that the reverse proxy (Service fn="service-passthrough") takes
    only the $uri value which was originally requested by the browser. I didn't
    yet manage to override this value while processing a request, not even if
    I "restart" a request. Turning the error log up to "finest" I see that even
    when making the "service-passthrough" operation, the Sun Web Server
    still remembers that the request was for "/test" (in my test case below);
    it does indeed ask the backend server for an URI "/test" and that fails.
    [04/Mar/2009:21:45:34] finest (25095) www.publicsite.com: for host xx.xx.xx.83
    trying to GET /content/MainPage.html while trying to GET /test, func_exec reports:
    fn="service-passthrough" rewrite-host="true" rewrite-location="true"
    servers="http://10.16.2.127:8080" Directive="Service" DaemonPool="2b1348"
    returned 0 (REQ_PROCEED)My obj.conf file currently has simple clauses like this:
    # this causes /content/* to be taken from another (backend) server
    NameTrans fn="assign-name" from="/content" name="content-test" nostat="/content"
    # this causes requests to site root to be HTTP-redirected to a certain page URI
    <If $uri =~ '^/$'>
        NameTrans fn="redirect"
            url="http://www.publicsite.com/content/MainPage.html"
    </If>
    <Object name="content-test">
    ### This maps http://public/content/* to http://10.16.2.127:8080/content/*
    ### Somehow the desired solution should instead map http://public/data/* to http://10.16.2.127:8080/content/*
        Service fn="service-passthrough" rewrite-host="true" rewrite-location="true" servers="http://10.16.2.127:8080"
        Service fn="set-variable" set-srvhdrs="host=www.publicsite.com:80"
    </Object>
    I have also tried "restart"ing the request like this:
        NameTrans fn="restart" uri="/data"or desperately trying to set the new request uri like this:
        Service fn="set-variable"  uri="/magnoliaPublic/Main.html"Thanks for any ideas (including a statement whether this can be done at all
    in some version of Sun Web Server 7.0 or its opensourced siblings) ;)
    //Jim

    Some of our installations use the Sun Web Server 7.0 (update 1, usually)please plan on installing the latest service pack - 7.0 Update 4. these updates addresses potentially critical bug fixes.
    I was recently asked to research whether we can rename some parts of
    the public URI namespace, to publish some or all resources as, say,
    http://www.publicsite.com/data/page.html while using the same backend
    resources.> now, if all the resources are under say /data, then how will you know which pages need to be sent to which back end resources. i guess, you probably meant to check for /data/page.html should go to <back-end>/content/page.html
    yes, you could do something like
    - edit your corresponding obj.conf (<hostname>-obj.conf or obj.conf depending on your configuration)
    <Object name=¨default¨>
    <If $uri = ¨/page/¨>
    #move this nametrans SAF (for map directive - which is for reverse proxy within <if> clause)
    NameTrans.. fn=map
    </If
    </Object>
    and you could do https-<hostname>/bin/reconfig (dynamic reconfiguration) to check out if this is what you wanted. also, you might want to move config/server.xml <log-level> to finest and do your configuration . this way, you would get enough information on what is going on within your server logs.
    finally,when you are satisfied, you might have to run the following command to make your manual change into admin config repository.
    <install-root>/bin/wadm pull-config user=admin config=<hostname> <hostname>
    <install-root>/bin/wadm deploy-config --user=admin <hostname>
    you might want to check out this for more info on how you could use <if> else condition to handle your requirement.
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6599/gdaer?a=view
    finally, you might want to refer to this doc - which explains on ws7 request processing overview. this should provide you with some pointers as to what these different directives mean
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6599/gbysz?a=view
    >
    One customer said that it is not "tidy". They don't want the URL to change

    please check out the rewrite / restart SAF. this should help you.
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6599/gdada?a=view
    pl. understand that - like with more web servers - ordering of directives is very important within obj.conf. so, you might want to make sure that you verify the obj.conf directive ordering is what you want it to do..
    It seems that the reverse proxy (Service fn="service-passthrough") takes

    now, you are in the totally wrong direction. web server 7 includes a highly integrated reverse proxy solution compared to 6.1. unlike 6.1, you don´t have to download a separate plugin . however, you will need to manually migrate your 6.1 based reverse proxy settings into 7.0. please check out this blog link on how to set up a reverse proxy

    you are probably better off - starting fresh
    - install ws7u4
    - use gui or CLI to create a reverse proxy and map one on one - say content
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6601/create-reverse-proxy-1?a=view
    if you don´t plan on using ws7 integrated web container (ability to process jsp/servlet), then you could disable java support as well. this should reduce your server memory footprint
    <install-root>/bin/wadm disable-java user=admin config=<hostname>
    <install-root>/bin/wadm create-reverse-proxy user=admin uri-prefix=/content server=<http://your back end server/ config=<hostname> --vs=<hostname>
    <install-root>/bin/wadm deploy-config --user=admin <hostname>
    now, you can check out the regular express processing and <if> syntax from our docs and try it out within <https-<hostname>/config/<hostname>-obj.conf> file and restart the server. pl. note that once you disable java, ws7 admin server creates <vs>-obj.conf and you need to edit this file and not default obj.conf for your changes to be read by server.

    I have also tried "restart"ing the request like this:
    NameTrans fn="restart" uri="/data"
    ordering is very important here... you need to do this some thing like
    <Object name=default>
    <If not $restarted>
    NameTrans fn=restart uri from=/¨ uri=/foo.
    </If>

  • SharePoint 2013 Anonymous (public) site and Office Web Apps Server 2013 issue with download.aspx

    Our organization has a public facing anonymous site in SharePoint 2013 which allows access to documents (docx) in a library.  ViewFormsLockdown is activated as we present the documents via CQWP / custom template.  We are combating the usual
    issue of multiple login prompts when using Internet Explorer when a user accesses said document.  We also have tried  using the Word Viewer (view only mode) from Office Web Apps Server 2013 which works well, but ...
    the problem stems from the fact that users can go the file menu from the word view and choose to download the document (which is what we want),  unfortunately it looks like the link redirects via /_layouts/15/download.aspx which also presents a login
    prompt. Much has been written out there about doing direct links for documents via /_layouts/download.aspx to address multiple login prompts when the document is opening in word (from IE).
    I've tried nearly every combination of recommendations (disabling client integration, browser file handling (permissive/strict), ViewFormsLockdown feature, web.config modifications with options and propfind verbs and more) all to varying levels of success,
    but never totally getting rid of the prompt.  It has been stated that because the downloads.aspx inherits from Microsoft.SharePoint.ApplicationPages.Download this will not allow anonymous access.  We really want to use the word view from the Office
    web app and have the file download functionality work from the menu there ... can anyone suggest an alternate fix?  I might be wishing but will appreciate any guidance offered ...
    cheers,

  • How do I query a SharePoint List using a url and filtering on date?

    I am reading a SharePoint list using jquery.  Everything is working fine
    except for the filter.  Each list item has an expiration date.  I want to retrieve JUST the items that have not expired (Expires > Today) but I can't figure out the url syntax and I've been searching all day for an example and
    can't find one.  Could someone please help?!?  See bold code below.
    Thanks,
    Glen
    $(document).ready(function ()
    <strong>var qryWCFUrl = "/sites/MMTP1/_vti_bin/listdata.svc/MMAlerts?$filter=(Expires gt '08/10/2011')&$orderby=Title";
    </strong> $.getJSON(qryWCFUrl, function (results)
    $.each(results.d.results, function (i, mmAlert)
    itemID = mmAlert.Id;
    mmTitle = mmAlert.Title;
    mmClass = mmAlert.ClassValue;
    //alert("Item="+itemID+" Title="+mmTitle+" Class="+mmClass);
    AddMMStatus(mmAlert.Id,mmAlert.Title,mmAlert.ClassValue);

    Fadi,
    Thanks for your response.  I actually have another version of the code that uses the SP client objects that works.  The problem is site boundries.  Let me give a more complete project explanation.
    I am creating a master page for a new intranet.  As part of this master page, I want to read from an SP list of alerts and post each alert (if not expired) in the SP status bar.  I've gotten this to work with SP client objects and jquery (except
    for the date filter part).  Both of these solutions work fine on the top site level.  BUT when trying it out at the sub-site level, the SP client objects version of my code fails. The jQuery version works except the date filtering.
    I looked at the example from your link and it looks like a bit of a hybrid to my approaches:  JQuery with CAML.  My question is; does this example permit me to access a list in the top-level site from the subsites?  Please excuse my ignorance,
    but I am an EXTREME newbie in this having spent the past 8 years as a VB.Net developer and a little bit of ASP.Net.
    Below are the two different versions of my code in different versions of my master page definition:
    SP Client Object Version
    <script type="text/javascript">
    // <![CDATA[
    ExecuteOrDelayUntilScriptLoaded(LoadAlerts, "sp.js");
    var ctx;
    var currAlerts;
    function LoadAlerts() {
    ctx = new SP.ClientContext.get_current();
    list = ctx.get_web().get_lists('/sites/MMTP1/Lists/').getByTitle('MMAlerts');
    var cmlQry = new SP.CamlQuery();
    var camlExp = '<query><Query><Where><Gt><FieldRef Name="Expires" /><Value IncludeTimeValue="FALSE" Type="DateTime"><Today /></Value></Gt></Where></Query></query>';
    cmlQry.set_viewXml(camlExp);
    currAlerts = list.getItems(cmlQry);
    ctx.load(currAlerts,'Include(ID,Title,Class)');
    ctx.executeQueryAsync(GetAlertsSuccess,GetAlertsFailed);
    function GetAlertsSuccess() {
    var lstEnum = currAlerts.getEnumerator();
    while(lstEnum.moveNext()) {
    var mmAlert = lstEnum.get_current();
    AddMMStatus(mmAlert.get_item('ID'),mmAlert.get_item('Title'),mmAlert.get_item('Class'));
    function GetAlertsFailed(sender,args) {
    alert('Alerts load failed: ' + args.tostring);
    function AddMMStatus(msgID, strTitle, strClass) {
    var statID;
    var statClass;
    var statTitle;
    statClass = "<a href=\"#\" onclick=\"javascript:DisplayAlert("+msgID+");\">" + strClass + ": </a>";
    statTitle = "<a href=\"#\" onclick=\"javascript:DisplayAlert("+msgID+");\">" + strTitle + "</a>";
    statID = SP.UI.Status.addStatus(statClass, statTitle, true);
    SP.UI.Status.setStatusPriColor(statID,"red");
    function DisplayAlert(msgID) {
    var options = {
    title: "Miller & Martin Alert!",
    url: "/sites/MMTP1/SitePages/ShowAlert02.aspx?ID="+msgID,
    allowMaximize: false,
    showClose: true
    SP.UI.ModalDialog.showModalDialog(options);
    // ]]>
    </script>
    JQuery Version (works except for filtering by date)
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.2/jquery.min.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" >
    // <![CDATA[
    var itemID;
    var mmTitle;
    var mmClass;
    $(document).ready(function ()
    var qryWCFUrl = "/sites/MMTP1/_vti_bin/listdata.svc/MMAlerts?$filter=(Expires gt '08/10/2011')&$orderby=Title";
    $.getJSON(qryWCFUrl, function (results)
    $.each(results.d.results, function (i, mmAlert)
    itemID = mmAlert.Id;
    mmTitle = mmAlert.Title;
    mmClass = mmAlert.ClassValue;
    AddMMStatus(mmAlert.Id,mmAlert.Title,mmAlert.ClassValue);
    function AddMMStatus(msgID, strTitle, strClass, strSeverity) {
    var statID;
    var statClass;
    var statTitle;
    statClass = "<div id=\"mmAlertTitle\" style=\"display:inline-block;\"><a href=\"#\" onclick=\"javascript:DisplayAlert("+msgID+");\">" + strClass + ": </a></div>";
    statTitle = "<div id=\"mmAlertDetail\" style=\"display:inline-block;\"><a href=\"#\" onclick=\"javascript:DisplayAlert("+msgID+");\">" + strTitle + "</a></div>";
    statID = SP.UI.Status.addStatus(statClass, statTitle, true);
    SP.UI.Status.setStatusPriColor(statID,"green");
    function DisplayAlert(msgID) {
    var options = {
    title: "Miller & Martin Alert!",
    url: "/sites/MMTP1/SitePages/ShowAlert02.aspx?ID="+msgID,
    allowMaximize: false,
    showClose: true
    SP.UI.ModalDialog.showModalDialog(options);

  • How do you move an access app from one sharepoint subsite to another?

    Hi there!
    I have created an access app for my 'Account management' subsite. This database stores lots of important information, however I'd like to move this to a new subsite which I've created called 'Campaigns'. How do I do this? I literally want to take a copy
    of it with all it's contents and move it to a new subsite.
    Thanks!
    Sarah

    Hi Sarah,
    You can go with backup & Restore option.
    In Powershell:
    use this below commands,
    Backup-SPSite <site URL> -Path "Path Location" -Force
    <site URL> --> http://server_name/sites/Account management (which site you want to take backup)
    "Path Location" --> C:\Backup\site_name.bak(where you want to store the backup)
    Restore-SPSite <site URL> -Path "Path Location" -Force
    <site URL> --> http://server_name/sites/Campaigns (where you want to move the site)
    "Path Location" --> C:\Backup\site_name.bak (where you have the backup file)
    otherwise you can Go with remane the subsite.
    Vote me, if its helps you. Regards, Tamilarasi.
