Alternate routing in SCP

Dear All
Need help..
how to calculate alternate routing in capacity planning calculation if we use SCP?
Thanks,

HI, Can you pls further explain "alternate Routing" as I remember we can define alternate routing & alternate item, we can define alternate resource in routing that if primary is overloaded or not available then it will pick the Altrenate resource,

    houseofrest,
According to this page, you can use it for CC:
Adobe Illustrator CC for Mac, Windows, PC - Tech specs
    Or you can buy CS6:

    Thanks in Advance

    Dear Madhan Shah,
If  you are new to the FORUM kinly read the rules first, so that in future you wil avoid posting mulitple questions in same thread.
    What is Alternate BOM ?
If you have more than one BOM for same material then each BOM is created as alternate BOM
EX - The BOM for producing sample will not be same as BULK so based on lot size you will have this.
    What is Alternate Routing ?
If you have more than one ROUTING for same material then each ROUTING is created as alternate ROUTING
EX - The ROUTING for producing samplING will not be same as BULK so based on lot size you will have this.
How do I create Alternate BOM ? Please give me a step by step procedure
First create a BOM in the CS01 and save it.
Again create a BOM for the same material, the system will give you a message telling Alternate bom created.
You can see the alternate bom number.
How do I create Alternate Routing ? Please give me a step by step procedure
First Create a Group and Group counter 1
Add the second routing as Group counter 2
You can define the Alternate routing / group counters based on the lot size or validity
What are all the configuration set-up is required to automatically and manually select the Alternative BOM while creating a Planned and Production Order ?
What are all the configuration set-up is required to automatically and manually select the Alternative Routing while creating a Planned and Production Order ?
    For above 2 questions
    NO configuration is requried
    Creat PRoduction version in C223
Here you define in each production version which is the BOM and routing it has to use.
Each production version you can define it with a lot size or valdiity period.
IN the MRP4 against the selection method you can define how the production version has to be selected.
Kindly let me know your feedback , if answered kindly close the thread.

  • No relation in PLPO for alternate routing.....

    Hi Experts,
I am using PLPO table in my program but i am not getting alternate routing ( there are two alternate sequences ) link between the two table PLPO and MAPL. In mapl it is showing Matnr, PLNNR and PLNAL for alternate routing.
In PLPO there is not link. Pl. help where i can get link with plpo table for alternate sequence ?

  • Routing Error - Scheduled ECO for Alternate Routing

    Hi,
I'm creating routing using API ( and manually too, get same result)
    Error Message Says:
ALT-2 routing for item 13662020 is pending from change notice 1475023.You must either make all changes to it through change notices or implement 1475023 first.
ALT-2 is the alternate I'm creating for item Routing 13662020 . I want to ask what is the link between ECO and Routing Alternate.
The ECO 1475023 has Alternat ALT-2 in it.
    Thanks
    Manu

The ECO 1475023 is trying to change the routing and you are trying to change it too.
So Oracle asks you to either implement or cancel the ECO.
The link is the change_notice field in the bom_operation_sequences table.
If you open the routing screen, change the drop down at the top from current/future to all and also uncheck the implemented box.
You will see the unimplemented changes.
    Hope this answers your question,

  • Maps offers NO alternate route options?

Yes, I know you can close to walk or take public transport but I thought it used to let you choose "avoid highways" & even drag routes! Am I missing something????? I've returned to google simply to avoid highways.

I don't understand the lack of options either. It's rather shocking. I am visiting Austin right now and if you land up on a toll road without the pre-paid card, I'm told the fines are steep. Avoiding highways and tolls can be critical.  The only thing you can do now, is look at the map and start the drive on your own, then hope it reroutes you - or use it but ignore the route when it's putting you on the highway and again, hope it reroutes you (instead of directing you to the highway for 1/2 hour like it did to me until I quit the app).
Best option for now: download Google Maps. It's a pain in that you need to paste the addresses. But it's also better in that it's voice nav works on protable bluetooth speakers whereas Apple's still doesn't.
    Disappointing.

  • Change the routing assigned to a job by program

Is there an API, or any procedure which allow to change by program the routing of a WIP job (validate the changes and replace the primary routing which imply replace the old operations and resources by the alternate routing resources and operation, and reschedule the job) ?
The purpose is to Mass change the routings on jobs (for example: change the routing of all the unreleased jo of an item category).
    Thanks in advance.

    You have to:
    - eliminate the stock of that material/batch
    - mark the batch master with deletion flag
    - archive the batch master

After archiving you should be alble to do a GR with same batch number for another material...hopefully...

  • Alternate routings in 11i

If an item has multiple routings will MRP take in account all of
them for planning purposes and pick the optimal one for that
point in time? If yes...what if a job has been released and
somewhere through the process the plan is regenerated will MRP
pick up on an alternate routing if one exists that will be more
efficient to run? Thanks in advance.

Oracle Master Scheduling/MRP only considers the primary routing, or manually assigned alternate routings in discrete jobs (status UNRELEASED). Only Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning can pick the most optimal routing.

  • Routing based on destination IP and traffic type

Is it possible to route traffic based on the destination IP and the type of traffic?
    ASA5512
    Software 9.2.1
We have an ASA 5512 that is used as a VPN termination point. Our employees connect from one of our customer sites to this VPN point. The customer also hosts services on the same IP address that our employees use to access our VPN on.
What I want to do is to use a different route for certain traffic to take to get to these other services provide by our customer, for instance they offer an FTP site and I want to use a different route to get our internal users to this FTP site. Is this possible to achieve?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Murray

Technically speaking the ASA doesn't do policy based routing.  However, you might be able to simulate something similar to PBR by using a combination of static routes and NAT.
If you describe your Network setup, ASA, and how the alternate route is connected to your customer, we might be able to help you better.

  • How do I get Turn-by-turn to stay on a single route?

I’m using turn-by-turn to drive to a location in downtown Portland.  I selected what I thought was route 1 which leaves me on the interstate and only requires a couple of turns once I’m off the interstate.  That’s fine.
The problem is, as I approach downtown Maps keeps telling me to get off the Interstate earlier and tries to route me through downtown, because its thinks its quicker.  I don’t want Maps to keep trying to get me on alternate routes.  I just want the turn-by-turn for route 1.  How do I get Maps to just give me the directions for route 1 and stop trying to re-route me?
It’s very confusing when I know what exit I want (according to its own route) and it keeps telling me to get off on different ones.
I just want Maps to stick to the route I picked.

there are two different shuffle controls on the ipod. there's the "shuffle songs" you see on the main menu and a "shuffle" command inside your settings.
go into settings and select "songs" in the shuffle inside settings, and the ipod will shuffle within individual artists, albums, playlists, genres, etc.

  • Query on BGP route distribution

    Hello Everyone
In the below scenario (GNS3), IBGP peering enabled between R1-R2, R1-R3, R2-R3 and EBGP peering enabled between R2-R4,R3-R5,R4-R6,R5-R7. OSPF enabled as IGP. Scenario attached for reference.
The problem I've observed in R1 is not getting entire BGP routing table for destinations 30.x.x.x/40.x.x.x.
I'm able to see only best routes in R1 BGP routing table, but alternate valid routes are not visible in its topology table.

BGP table version is 81, local router ID is 100.100.2.1

More confusing part to me is when I disable IBGP peering between R2-R3 or shutdown interface between R2-R3 or else if I disable ospf in R1,R2 & R3 routers , I'm able to see both best route and alternate valid route in BGP topology table.
    R1#sh ip bgp

    Hi Milin & Renan,
Thanks for your replies. To narrow down the problem, I’ve shut down the 40.40.x.x network.
Now between R2-R3, R3 is not advertising 30.30.X.X network to R2, but whereas R2 is advertising 30.30.X.X network to R3. Why R3 is not advertising 30.30.X.X (route via 200 400 300) to R2.

  • Alternate Routings

    hi
How the alternate routings are created ,
By going sequence view in Routing ,there I have to select alternate sequence am I correct ,
Alternate sequence is same as Alternate Routing
Is there any other way to create Alternate Routing?
    Thanx in advance

    Hi Karthik,
Alternate sequence is different from alternate routings
If you wnat to create alternate routing just enter into ca01 tcode
enter material/plant/group no & proceed further as you normally do
You can find the unique value  against group counter for each routing, whereas group no will remain the same
Alternate sequence is just to differ from the standard sequence in the same routing
pls find belwo the details of alternative seq from sap help
You use an alternative sequence for example, if
The production flow is different for certain lot-size ranges
For instance you can machine a work piece on conventional machine or on NC machines. A NC machine has a longer set-up time than a conventional machine. However the machining costs are considerably less. Therefore whether you use NC machines will depend on the lot size.
The production flow changes under certain business conditions.
For instance, if you have a capacity problem, you have some production steps performed externally by a vendor.
    Hope this is useful
    Regards,
    SVP

  • Alternative selection of routing in production orders

in routing there are 4 operations
    operation   descriptions                                      work centre
0010        ONE SIDE CENTER GRINDING            A
    0020        ROUGH MAJOR DIA.GRINDING            B
0030         FINISH MAJOR DIA. GRINDING            C
    0040         ROUGH/FINISH THREAD GRINDING     D
operation 0020 & 0030 having alternate routing for for different work centre sayE & F resp.
now, i want solution/setting  for automatic selection in the production order of alternate routing of E for B & similarly alternative of F for C resp.
if anser is not possible then please give other alternative
    regards,
    mangesh

    H Mangesh,
In R/3 capacity of resources will not be checked while creating both planned order and production order. Thats why you have option of APO-PPDS for more accurate planning across plants with complete capacity check.
You should design your routing with approperaite work centers to carry out manufacturing tasks and with this lot size criteria only autmatic selection of work centers are possible.
Otherwise you have to do changes manually in production orders. For this create alternate routings and order dependent parameters checked the indicator "alternate routings are allowed".

  • ASCP Legacy Collections Dropping Routings with Alternate Resources

    SR# 6793428.993, (11.5.10.2)
How can we load routings with alternate resources from a legacy instance without
    dropping duplicate resources.
It appears that the last alternate routing is loaded - dropping all the other routings.
When uploading routings, through legacy collection, having alternate resources, 'duplicate' resources are dropped during ODS Load phase.
In staging data seems to be ok after Pre-Processing.
Standard collection with identical routing does not drop thee alternates.
    Requirement is:
Item has one operation with four (4) scheduled resources A,B,C,D. There is alternate resource E for resource A. So we should have either combination A,B,C,D or E,B,C,D.
There can be multiple alternate resources for A
    Customer has:
    MSCCLPPB.pls 115.151.11510.4
    The latest release is:
    MSCCLPPB.pls 115.151.11510.17
The code performing the legacy collection is identical.

    Partha,
Thanks for the response. What we want to achieve is to be able to run all these lines in parallel, which can certainly be done by using alternate resource. I've infact setup alternate resource for the below scenario but not able to get them running in parallel. Alternate resource will work only in case when primary resource doesn't have any capacity.
In this below case, ASCP was using 100% capacity for primary while for alternate resource it was suggesting to use anyone of them rather than equally divide the demand on them.
Let me know if you need more details but I couldn't find anyway to model this scenario in ASCP current configuration.
    Thanks
