Alternative e mail?

how can I edit my alternative e mail, from my account?

Go into setting under mail and add another email by clicking new account underneath your account and choose the email base that it's from and there you go!
Go into settings>Mail>look at your accounts and underneath it it says ADD ACCOUNT then tap on that!
HOPE THIS HELPS

  • Icloud alternative E mail address

As usual, I'm struggling with security issues. Today it's icloud.
Having wasted a huge amount of my morning, I am finally back in my icloud account.
One of the main reasons I was having trouble was because my 'alternitive' E mail address was the same as my icloud address?
So, I filled in my good old fashioned normal E mail address.
I'm then told...!, this E mail address is used on another Apple Account, so now, no alternative E mail address is possible?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Assuming you can login, change the email address at appleid.apple.com.
I have changed mine several times.

Thanks Liam. After the second ap download it asked me three security questions on iTunes and on my MAC it allowed me to set up these with no error on the third question. iPAD 3 now downloads apps fine.
Apple really need to sort out this issue or provide guidance on this. Two days of the unit not really being fit for purpose - what use is an IPAD without the ability to download aps.
Also NO Response from Apple via online tech support and it's now been nearly 24 hours - I was told by telephone support I would get a response within 24 hours or less, as also stated in the email response too!??
It would be good to get a formal response from Apple on this rather than radio silence.

  • Alternative to mail adapter

    Hi!
I'm searching for an alternative to the mail adapter of the XI.
In my scenarios I have to send emails, generated out of IDocs, in a very flexible way:
I want dynamic filenames, I want to add an attachemnt, I want to set the content-type of this attachment, I want to set an text as the email body, I want to set the receiver, sender and subject dynamically and most important, I need CC (Carbon Copy) and BCC (Blind Carbon Copy). At last I want the IDoc-Acknowledgements sent back properly.
I spent many, many days to get this all running with the mail adapter shipped with XI, but I didn't get everything running in that way I need it. Especially CC and BCC seems to be a great problem.
Is there a more flexible way to send emails via XI, which is easier to configure as the mail adapter?
    Best regards,
    Daniel

    HI,
Go with Java Proxy or WebService.
If it is a Java Proxy, in the proxy  you can call Java Mail APIs so that , you can acheive the same.
Similarly you can achieve the same thru Webservice.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,

  • Alternatives to Mail Rules After iCloud?

So we know that mail rules aren't included in the transition to iCloud.
What are you using as an alternative?  I have 100+ rules and don't mind redoing them into a Lion/iCloud compatible application, just need some ideas.  I know they'll continue to work into 2012, but the day will come when I'll have to transition.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    John

No idea about a replacement for sync, but I do have an idea for a workaround:
If Mail rules are stored here:
    >Library>Mail>MessageRules.plist
Why couldn't you just manually copy that plist file from your master machine and (replacing the old one) install it in the Library>Mail folder of your secondary machine?
It seems simple -- so I must be underestimating something.

  • Adding spell checking alternatives to mail and safari

I still use Snow Leopard (10.6.8I cannot find a personal dictionary to add spelling alternatives to any Apple programs.  How in the heck do I add words that I frequently use but are not standard spelling (like colour, neighbour . . .)?
    Sass

In Mail/Safari,  go to Edit in the menu bar > Spelling and Grammar when it comes up with a word you want to keep click on the Learn button, then it should not flag that word next time.
    Hope this helps

  • Alternatives to Mail 4.6

Once again, Mac Mail has decided NOT to send outgoing mail even though all SMTPOUT server settings are correct.
This has happened too many times in the past with no real resolution; I see dozens of posts about the same issue and there's no obvious or real fix that I can see anywhere.  So, I'm looking for a viable alternative that doesn't loose it's mind.
I have a copy of Office 2008 with Entourage (I've no reason to upgrade to 2011) and of course there's Thunderbird.  I'm not considering Sparrow because it's not a free alternative - unless you want to put up with banner ads.
Has anyone switched to either Entourage or T-Bird and have feedback?

I've just had the identical problem today.  I have no particular desire to use Outlook because the Windows version has the same problem.  When is Apple going to at least admit they have a serious problem here?  Some days Mac mail simply decides it's not going to send outbound e-mail.  I didn't think it was possible to produce an e-mail client that had as many bugs as Outlook, but Apple is sure giving them a run for their money.
Much as I'd like to switch to the Mac 100 percent, I have to keep my Windows machine running so I can use a real e-mail client: Forte' Agent (unfortunately unavailable for OS X).

  • AppleID: changing my alternative e-mail address?

    Hey ppl!
I have an AppleID on my iPhone... I've never bought anything on my Mac - Computer yet... so now it's asking me to answer my security questions, which I don't remember... and when I click on "send answers to alternative emailAdress" I never get any email on said address... so I wanted to make sure that it's the right alternative email address... how can I check/change that?

Call Apple Care for your country and request that they assist you in resetting the security questions.

  • Suggestion for alternative to Mail 4.2 for downloading gmail POP mails

As noted elsewhere, Mail 4.2 doesn't like gmail POP. I know Thunderbird and Eudora will do the trick but has anybody any suggestions/recommendations?

I confess to not watching this forum religiously but I had difficulty enabling POP mail with mail 4.2 in SL and understood from reading some previous threads here (and elsewhere) that I wasn't the only one. If there's a fix, I'd be delighted to hear about it.
ah, yes, there was difficulty in setting up gmail POP but I found out how to do it. the method was well hidden. see my os x hint on the issue here:

  • Use an alternative e-mail address after repeated failed attempts to send.

My company uses a small e-mail server company that offers a lot of benefits, but occasionally goes down for a day or two. I would like to find a way to automatically use another e-mail address after several failed attempts to use this server.
Thus, if everything is working right, my e-mail will use the regular server. However, if the original server is down, when my e-mail fails to send repeatedly using that server, I would like it to default to another server. Is there a way to configure this?
    Thank you.

No, you can’t. .Mac’s SMTP server simply doesn’t allow sending from a non-.Mac address.
Doesn’t your ISP include some POP or IMAP mail accounts with access to an SMTP server as part of the service? Such an SMTP server might be less restrictive.
A Gmail account would allow you to use Gmail’s SMTP server. Instructions for setting up a Gmail account are provided here:
    http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13275
After setting up the Gmail account in Mail and checking that it works, you can use Gmail's SMTP server to send from your other mail accounts as well:
    1. Log into your Gmail account on the web.
    2. Go to Settings > Accounts.
    3. Enable the addresses you want to be able to send from, and let Gmail validate them by verifying that you do indeed own them.
    4. For each mail account you want to send from using Gmail’s SMTP server, in Mail go to Preferences > Accounts, and choose Gmail’s SMTP server from the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) popup menu.
BTW, if you’re using Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther), as your profile indicates, it would have been more appropriate to discuss this in the Mail & Address Book - Mac OS X 10.3 & earlier forum. If the discussion applies to both Mail 1.x and Mail 2.x, it doesn’t really matter, but it’s difficult to know that in advance.

  • Is there a Mail alternative with Outlook functionality?

Can anyone suggest a good alternative to Mail (which is just pathetic in my opinion)?  I am looking for a program that has, all on the same screen, just like Outlook, my mail, calendar and appointments/reminders.

You can download Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac and try Microsoft Outlook for Mac > http://www.microsoft.com/mac
