Alternative Item group not appearing CS11

Hi all,
We have created BOM with all the substitution materials which can be used at the time of Production.
We have utilised the Alternative item group for this. When i look at BOM for a material say X using CS03 i can see the Alternative Item group. But when i explode the BOM using CS11 i cannot see the alternative item group in it.
The scenario in details is :
For the header material X i have X1,as component with different change numbers and unique validity dates and this component is seen in 3 lines in BOM with alternative item groups against it.
Now when i explode the BOM using CS11 i can see X1 component with alternative group for only 2 line items.
We are in ECC6.0 version, can i ask you whether there is any patch or oss note to be applied.I have tried searching OSS notes but couldnt find them
Please advice as this is of very high importance.

What I wanted to confirm from you is ,after executing CS11--->
Changing Layout -
> Selecting Alternative Item group,
priority,Usage probablitity,the values are not shown in the field
properly though they are actually present in the BOM?
So enter the proper valid from dates in CS11(Select the date
on which the alternative item group is active) & also alternative
BOM number properly.
So go ahead as I suggested and even after entering the proper
valid from dates,Alt.BOM---changing layout ,if its not giving
proper results,then go for checking OSS notes.
This is with respect to ECC 6.0.
Check & revert back.

I have one issue in BOM alternative item group I have made the settings as below.
Material 1     AltItemGroup         01
                     Priority                                  1
                     Strategy             2 100% check
                   Usage prob.         100
Material 2     AltItemGroup                      01
                      Priority                                  2
                      Strategy             2 100% check
                      Usage prob.         100
For Material 1 required bill of material quantity is 65 MT
For Material 2 required bill of material quantity is 65 MT
Now I am creating the process order for quantity 1000 MT. When the material availability check done it proposing as below in process order.
Material 1 = 65 MT    (Available Stock 807.109 MT)
Material 2 = 0 MT      (Available Stock 5.850 MT)
And again Material 2 = 32.5 MT
My question is as per above settings and stock situation of the material it should propose only Material 1 = 65 MT. But here system is also proposing Material 2 = 32.5 MT. Can any one tell what I am doing wrong?
Any settings are missing or what will be output for the above settings.
Please explain in detail.

Pl. make the following settings:
Material 1 AltItemGroup 01
Priority 1
Strategy 2 100% check
Usage prob. 100
Material 2 AltItemGroup 01
Priority 2
Strategy 2 100% check
Usage prob. 0
The strategy 2 will automatically handle the situation when Material 1 is not available and 2 is available.
Pl. test & revert. It will work as per your requirements

Line items are not appearing while processing F-44

With transaction F-44, to clear vendor account, the system displays only one open item, whereas there are 2 open items on the line item report (FBL1N). Further there are two line items in BSIK.

of above while processing F-44, we are able to see only debit item dated 05.06.2008.other line item is not appearing. When tried by putting document number, it says "NO OPEN ITEMS FOUND"

"Hyperion" menu item does not appear in Excel after SmartView Installation

Hi to all! When I first installed SmartView, everything was ok - "Hyperion" menu item appeared in Excel and I successfully established connection to Planning and worked with data in Excel. Then, once upon a time I happened to select all data through Ctrl+A in the data form open in Excel and tried to copy it to another worksheet in the same workbook, Excel threw out a message about some serious error and informed me that the Hyperion Add-on would be removed. So it was removed in fact. When I was reinstalling Smart-View, all the installation went smoothly but the "Hyperion" menu item did not appear in Excel again. I tried to reinstall both Excel and SmartView and rebooted the system several times but the Hyperion menu item still does not appear in Excel. Can anyone hint me on how to solve this? after looking at a few other posts, i tried the uncheck the sync box, did a sync, rechecked the box, and synced again. the music is now downloading into my phone. if anyone else has this problem try this first.

Custom item does not appear on Hotsync Menu

I have a Sprint Treo 700p. My work email was converted to Outlook from GroupWise. I am able to sync successfully, but received a message about changing profiles and conduits. I tried to do this by clicking the Hotsync icon in system tray. The menu that appeared only had three items (Settings, Install, Exit). The CUSTOM item does not appear. I am using Hotsync Manager 7.0.2. How can I get back the CUSTOM menu item?

Those Hotsync options are what display on Palm Desktop 6.2.2, not prior versions 4.x.
To get to your Hotsync settings, click the Hotsync icon, and select Settings. Then click Applications. Select the conduit you wish to change, and click Configure.

Why PO Item does not appear when return GR?

Dear Gurus,
The scenerio is,
A standard PO with 30 items.
The PO is released and complete received by MB01 103, 105.
When return GR by MIGO GR 122, the PO items do not appear except one item. If use MB01, the same.
Why? Pls advice. Thanks.

Just found a good OSS note: Note 886735 - MIGO: Unclear why GR is not possible for the purchase order
It has a report attached, that helps to analyse the reason.
Carry out the following checks using the report:
1. Check the document category
Information: The document category 'F' is possible for purchase orders and the document category 'L' is possible for scheduling agreements.
2. Check that the purchase order/scheduling agreement is not deleted.
3. Check that the purchase order/scheduling agreement is not blocked.
4. Check whether the purchase order/scheduling agreement is released.
5. Check that the purchase order is not held.
6. Check whether the goods receipt is already posted.
7. Is there a purchase order for external service?
8. Is there a blanket purchase order?
9. Is there a text item?
10. Is there a statistical item?
11. Is the goods receipt indicator set in the purchase order/scheduling agreement?
12. Check whether the confirmation control is active and whether a confirmation is still not available.
13. Is there a valid scheduling agreement delivery schedule line?

All open items are not appearing in f-44 for vendor

Hi friends,
I am unable to find all open items in f-44 to clear vendor open items.
I checked in BSIK, it has 3 line items and in FBL1N also having 3 line items.
2 line items are debit and 1 line item is cr.
Dr line items are appearing in f-44 where are Cr (Vendor cr (31) is not appearing in f-44,
Please help me.

Dear All,
There is one unique issue that is being arised in our system where in the open line items are appearing at the time of customer line item display, but when we go for clearing these line items only some documents are appearing and some documents are not appearing at all.
Is there any reason that documents does not appear while clearing where in still the same is appearing as a open line item in customer line item display.

entries are existing in BSID table
entries are passed as part of period end closing entries
entry passed in month end and reversed in next month
proposed sol
1. check the mode of passing the entry in tcode
if tcode is coming from FBS1 the entries will not appear in F-32
if 1 entry in FBS1 and other entry in F-32 then automatic reversal entries were not passed.
there was manual entry.
that is the reason 1 entry in FBS1 and other in F-32.

GL Open Item does not appear in F-03

Hi Friends,
I am trying to clear the GL open items thru F-03, while I see all the open items that appear in Line item display through FBL3N (total 25), out of them only 24 appear in F-03, I can not see the 25th item.
I have checked the document in BSIS table, it appears as open item there. The FBL3N also shows this open item.
What could be the reason that when going for Clearing thru F-03, it does not appear.

- Check some table fields in the missing documents using Transaction SE16. The following conditions must exist for the missing document numbers in question -
BSIS-XOPVW = X (Indicator: Open item management, only for G/L accounts)
BSEG-XOPVW = X (Indicator: Open item management)
BSEG-AUGBL = space (clearing document number)
BSEG-DISBN = space (discount document number)
BKPF-BSTAT = space (document status)
BKPF-XSTOV = space (indicator reversal flag)

Material item text not appearing in PO Print Preview

Hi experts,
We have created a new PO type . We have assigned it with PO text via Spro>Purchasing>Purchase Order > Message > Text for messages > define text for purchase order
Maintained text for document header
Maintained text for document item
But still in Purchase Order , the material PO text at item level , is not appearing at the time of print preview / print out.
Please suggest .

If I understand correctly, you want to copy the purchase order text from the material master directly into the PO's for this material.
I got the same problem; text appears in PO item text, but doesn't appear on print preview.
=> check your forms first
=> if you can't find an error here, check the copying control in
SPRO -> Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Texts for purchase orders -> Define copying rules for item texts
go to the text linkages of the text type that you want to see appearing
=> make sure that the entries with source object 'material master' have the Fix value (blank) rather than N or * (if you see the text appearing in the PO but not on the print out, this means that this setting is currently set on *)

Line item number not appearing in BE_OBJ_ITEM field in Table BBP_PDBEI

Hi SRM Experts,
We are on SRM7.0 (SP09) using classic scenario (SAP R/3 backend 4.6C). Since last few days, we are observing strange behaviour when SC is approved and transferred to backend. The SC remains in status I111(Item in transfer). The reports clean_reqreq_up and bbp_get_status_2 does not help.
What I've observed is in BBP_PD, table BBP_PDBEI, the field BE_OBJ_ITEM is not updated... but all other fields are properly updated.

BE_OBJECT_ID 7100000149
As a result, even re-transferring the SC using BBP_REQREQ_TRANSFER does not help..
This phenomenon is not appearing for all SC's but some SC's ...

New Contact groups not appearing in iTunes

I just got my iPhone 3G and attempted to set up syncing with iTunes (v7.7).
I added a new group in Address Book, put some contacts in it, and then went to iTunes. I wanted to sync only certain groups from Address Book, so I turned that option on, but the new group I added does not appear in the list. I quit and restarted both Address Book and iTunes. I rebooted the iMac. I reinstalled iTunes. Nothing has worked.
Any ideas?

New GP Task Items do not appear in UWL after clear item cache of GP System

HI, SDN Expert.
After I made some minor change in the GP configuration xml (changing the "createdate" format from "date" to "datetime"), I went to the Cache Administration Page to clear the item cache of my GPSystem. I went to register the item types for all system in the UWL Configuration Page.
After clearing the cache and register the item types, I started initiate some GP tasks, but now all the GP tasks are not appearing in the UWL any more.
I remembered last time the same thing has happened, but the GP tasks started appearing only after a few hours.
Now, it has been two hours wait, I still don't see my GP tasks re-appear.
I wonder any of you know whether this situation is normal? What is the root cause for this situation? And how do I fix this?
