Alternative Options

Currently we have a client that uses Contact Center Express.  They broadcast calls to multiple lines by pushing the call back to CM for a Hunt List.
I'm looking for some alternative ideas that might be able to move the client away from the Hunt Lists and into a new version of CM and UC that can still allow the broadcast to multiple phones without the Hunt List.
Any thoughts are welcome.
Thank you.

The users are not using CAD at this time to answer the phone.
Client is a car dealership that multiple people have to be available to answer the call or a sale could be lost.
Calls are currently broadcasted to the Hunt List so a call is not missed.  I was under the impression that a call could not be sent to a shared line from the script, but that was probably referring to CAD shared lines.

  • Using alternative option in SMART forms

    hi,
    I have a quick question about using the alternative window in Smartforms.
    When the condition mentioned is true, all the objects/windows under the true will be executed. However, when the condition is false nothing gets done. I would expect all the objexcts in the False category to get executed. Can anyone reason this out.
    Regards,
    Diwakar

    the situation is as follows:
    If v_x = 'Del' the title of the report needs to be as "Delivery Note", else it needs to be as "Invoice".
    So, after coding the condition using the alternative option, i have placed two text elements each under true and false. If V_x is 'Del' i see the title delivery note in the report. however, if i chaneg the value of v_x, i am not able to see 'invoice ' as the title. The output is blank.

  • Alternative options for running flash-based software on x86_64 systems

    As per the new droppage of the flashplugin for 64bit Arch, what should us 64bitters do?
    What are these "alternative options" mentioned in the Arch news?

    Alternative options to do what? What did you use Flash for?
    I often say there are three ways Flash is used on the Internet:
    Showing advertisements (I assume you don't want to get those working again)
    Video games
    Showing video
    (did I miss anything?)
    What are you trying to do?
    EDIT: Also, I think there have been many threads on this topic. The general solution was to use 32 bit Flash in 64 bit Arch. As for me, I just stopped using Flash.

  • Alternative Option in Smartform

    HI,
    what is the use of ALTERNATIVE Option in Smartform?
    Regards
    Sandeep

    Hi,
    Alternatives are True and False conditions in smartforms.
    Right click at the window option, then goto flowlogic and then create an alternative by selecting the Alternative option.
    Under Pages and Windows, windows(right-click)->flowlogic->alternative.
    Once you click on alternative you will find a true and false button is being created.
    In the general attributes tab, you can define the conditions as per your requirement.

  • Time Capsule+Time Machine & alternative options?

    Currently I have an iMac (backing up via TM on a wired harddrive) - however have just purchased a MacBook and am now looking at an alternative backing method - for both macs. I have a couple of questions maybe someone can answer?
    1. I like the ease and intergration of Time machine currently used - but do I HAVE to have a Time capsule to back up using this with both macs?
    2. Any viable alternatives? The only thing stopping me currently from going for the time Capsule - is that I already have a wireless Netgear modem/router - so the wireless elements of the TC are not really of any practical use (I also print 'locally') - apart from obviously wirelessly backing up. Could I use an Ethernet connected harddrive into my Netgear router (I have two spare ports) and still back-up via Time Machine? If I can't use TM to back-up - any recommendations of easy backing-up software that would work with this alternative method? Is this cost effective over a TC?
    I'm not discounting a Time Capsule - just considering my options and whether their is a better solution for my situation - without adding unnecessary additional wireless devices to my network?

    Odd as it seems, the name may be the problem!  Long names and names with punctuation sometimes work, sometimes not.   Try changing it, per #C9 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.
    If that doesn't help, try a Hard Reset of the TC.  Sounds like you already found the support article, but if not: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3728

  • Is there going to be an alternative option to Workspaces

    I have built my aviation business around Adobe Workspaces and by axing this program I will have to rewrite my company procedures, MOE and source an alternative system to store my files.

    cannonman, i feel your pain--almost! I actually just finished a book right around the time the announcement came. Fortunately i can save it to a different place and use something else for future works. Check out Zoho Writer!  that is what i'm switching to. It has some features that workspaces didn't have, while some features workspaces excelled at it's not as good. But i think that compared to Google Docs it is far superior. I've been looking at different options to find out what i want to switch to after the announcement came, and this is the best one available that i can find. It's not as snazzy looking as Workspaces, but I think that you may be pleased with it. It even has an option to convert your work to .epub!

  • Service Dpt. got troubles repairing my mac and give me alternative options.. What option should I choose? Help!

    I got a MacBookPro few months ago (October 2011)
                       17-inch, Early 2011
    Processor  2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory     4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
    Graphics   AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB
    Software   Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4
    But for multiple issues I had to take it back. After several repairs, they offered me the three options below as the 17-inch MBP is discontinued(?).. Which one should I choose?
    The main reason I want a 17-inch screen is that I am working with graphics and also I move often, so I can't afford carrying an iMac around.
    1. Replace the unit with this 15-inch Macbook Pro - this would take approximately 2 weeks to arrive
    15-inch MacBook Pro
    • Part number: Z0MV
    • 2.3GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz
    • 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB
    • 128GB Solid State Drive
    • SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
    • MacBook Pro 15-inch Hi-Res Antiglare Widescreen Display
    • Backlit Keyboard (US) & User’s Guide (English)
    • Accessory Kit
    2. Replace the unit with a 15-inch Macbook Pro Retina - this could take approximately 4-6 weeks
    15-inch: 2.3GHz Retina display
    2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7
    Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz
    8GB 1600MHz memory
    256GB flash storage1
    Intel HD Graphics 4000
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 memory
    Built-in battery (7 hours)2
    3. We repair your unit in store as soon as possible.
    Can you help me out please?
    1) I am afraid that if I choose the third option, I won't be able to fix my MBP in the future in case that there are no spare parts (for example, if I get problems with the screen).
    2) I don't understand how equal are the three models based on their prices...

    "Another reason that makes me worry, is that I may go live in a country which doesn't have an Apple Store. (but they do have Apple representative suppliers)."
    Then what's the worry? Consider how long you intend to own this MBP. Figure 3 years. Buy AppleCare to make sure you're covered.You're obsessing about an issue that may or may not happen. This is just my opinion. The other opinions are, from what I read, based upon what each poster wants, not what you need. You've got to assess your own requirements.

  • Alternative option to updating the services file on the local computer

    Hi,
    Our project needs to add updates to the file C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\services in order to allow excel reports to work from the SAP enterprise portal.
    The client will need to apply this change in the services file to all the desktop computers of the end-users. They are now asking whether there is an alternative solution to updating the services file on the local machine. Our team does not think that there is one but maybe one of you experts out there can provide some more insight.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Best Regards,
    Giwan Persaud

    For our normal sapgui rollout we never change the services file.
    This is only possible if you change in saplogon.ini the MSSrvPort section, the names to numbers:
    instead of
    Item88=sapmsPS1
    you use
    Item88=3600
    Then you don't need the services file ( excepte the standard ones which you can rollout once )
    sapdp*
    sapgw*
    you to check if this works for Excel also!

  • Alternative Options for Email Merge?

    I need a way to do personalized (merged) e-mails.
    Usually, I have fewer than 500 recipients, but the e-mails need to include some merged data like the recipient's name and physical address (so just sticking 500 e-mail addresses in the BCC field Mail.app will not work). However, because the list changes, using Pages' mail merge from Address Book really isn't an option.
    I used to use Word and Entourage for this, but I'm trying to move away from Entourage.
    Has any one found a reliable, easy-to-use mass e-mail program that works well with Mail.app?

    yep my question to!

  • Alternative Options after wiping system?

    want to erase hard drive mem but do not have disk or remember the original apple id password.  System stared with snow leopard and have obviously upgraded to mavericks since that point. thoughts?

    You could always call Apple (# at bottom of this page) and, with your serial number handy, oder a machine-specific set of discs that were original to your computer. Cost is a bit over $20, I think.

  • Report Scheduler Email Not Available...Alternative Option?

    Hi,
    I started a new position and am learning CUIC now. I heard the server our CUIC is on is unable to send emails for whatever reason,
    When I create da schedule to push a test report, I was given a failure icon but no reason. Does anyone have insight on this problem or work arounds? I really appreciate any help.

    Amer, thank you for the reply! I went to oamp and learned that the linux server our cisco cuic is on doe snot have SMTP setup, which explains the error. Am I able to work around this by having the scheduler push from another smtp? This is not really my area of knowledge. I have read all the related Cisco documentation without any solution. THanks agian.

  • Does a thunderbolt splitter or a cheap alternative option exists?

    Hello guys,
    I've got a macbook pro with one thunderbolt port and I really need a second thunderbolt port. Does a thunderbolt splitter exists? I know there are docks with multiple thunderbolt ports but they are really expensive. I have a budget around 50 dollars. I need that second thunderbolt port because I'm using a thunderbolt display and I would like to use a thunderbolt external harddrive for my Time Machine Backups and other files. Does anyone know a cheap thunderbolt Harddrive (around 500gb to 1tb) that I can use?. Does it even work, to use a thunderbolt display and an external harddrive at the same time?
    Thank you!
    Vincent

    No I don't really have a thunderbolt display but I've connected my LG Monitor hdmi > minidisplay. If I had a thunderbolt display, there wouldn't be a problem.
    But thanks for your comment!

  • Any alternative options for Captchas?

    Hi
    Has anyone toyed around with captchas that look better. I can never get the box to the right of the graphics, so it always looks unfinished and unkept.
    Solutions?

    Hello Joel Media Group,
    You can change the color of the captcha to match your design better using the available parameters:
    {module_captchav2,[background color],[text color],[width in pixels]}
    To get the input box on the right of the image you could float the image div.captchaimg and the input#CaptchaV2 left:
    input#CaptchaV2{
        width: 160px;
        float: right;
        margin: 5px 0 0;
    div.captchaimg{
        float: left;
        width: 170px;
    Hope this helps,

  • Alternative warranty options to AppleCare?

    Hi guys.
    I have a question.
    Stupid me took too long to buy my AppleCare extension for my MBP unibody and I'm over my warranty exp by bout 2-3 weeks. (Money was an issue)
    I know AppleCare cannot be bought once the original warranty expires.
    Are there any alternative options to AppleCare that would get me near the same coverage for my MBP?
    I still have an unresolved issue regarding a significant screen whine that was diagnosed while the computer was still under warranty and is still open in terms of its case. Apple has to send my MBP off to a repair lab to specifically find the issue (replaced both my screen and my Logic board and the issue still remains). I just never had the chance to do it because my daily life is very dependent on my laptop (school, work).
    Another potential contributing factor, my father helped me pay for my MBP with his Amex card. Amex is good about supplying asset insurance and warranties as part of their buyer's protection policy. Should I also inquire with Amex in regards to another warranty?
    Everyone tells me AppleCare is a no brainer and should be bought. But of course, that is no longer an option for me.
    Any help = awesome! Thanks in advance all.

    AMEX extends warranties on many consumer electroncis items (there is a value cutoff, something like the item must have retailed for a min. amount) for up to one additional year on all warranties of less than 5 years.
    Plus, I would think in most states, if the issue is one that was unresolved from a previous warranty claim, then it would still be covered anyway. Otherwise, many companies would just stall claims until the end of the warranty period if they could then walk away.
    I'd talk to Apple first, and remind them this is an issue that they failed to resolve while under warranty, If they balk at that, call up AMEX, who typically either refunds or replaces, at least that's been my experience with them the couple of times I've gone through them for claims.
