Alternative program for XMLSPY

Hi,
i tryed the xmlspy trail and now i am looking for something "thinner" with just the following functions:
- visualitaion of xml and wsdl
- testing saop scenarios via importing wsdl
- creating xsd from xml
i just use this functions and think that there must be something thinner.
Or maybe there is "more" in xmlspy i didn't found but which is usefull??!?

XML Spy is a good tool to schemas, XSLT mapping , validation, etc.

Is there any alternative program for RSSTAT10 in ECC6.0 system

Dear ABAPers,
Issue scenario:
We are trying to create a report program in the ECC system to provide the details of the server workload. This report is a copy of the program RSSTAT10 which is working fine in other systems(3.1,4.7). The report works fine in those systems. But when we try to copy the same on ECC,we get a dump " CALL_FUNCTION_CONFLICT_TYPE ".
The Reason for the dump :
1.The reason is the mismatch of the field length in the import export parameters of the FM.
2.There are a few includes and FModules that do not exist in the ECC system, but are available in the other systems. For eg. RSSTAT10 is not available.
Our question is :
Since RSSTAT10 is unavailable in the ECC is there an alternate program that can be used in order to generate the report that provides the details of the server workload in the ECC system?

When you say you just purchased Formscentral exactly what do you mean? Formscentral has not been sold as a stand alone product in a while due to the decision to close the service. If you got Formscentral as part of a Acrobat subscription then you need to know that that part of the subscription will go away partially in June and fully in July. If you have indeed managed to purchase Formscentral standalone recently can you please give me the information about your purchase such as the date of purchase and link to the site from which you purchased. Refunds are available to customers who are not able to use the service though their contract period.

Problem in creating a BDC program for transaction cj20n(project sytem)

Hi all,
I am trying to create project,WBS element ,network and activity using a BDC program,
I am able to create to a recording for the transaction cj20n using tcode shdb but when i run the recording it doesnt run properly i am not able to create any thing.
I get error saying that a particular field doesnt exist on the screen.
Is possible to create a BDC program for transaction CJ20N ?
Also is there any other alternative apart from using a BAPI or a function module.

Financial Program For MAC

I currently have a Windows XP computer with Quicken 2007 and Quicken works well, especially the one-step update. Scanning the Quicken forum, I find nothing but horror stories from people who have switched from Windows to MAC and then try to convert their Quicken data files from Windows to data files for use with Quicken for MAC on the MAC. I really don't want to buy and run Windows on my new iMac just to run Quicken for Windows. I am buying a MAC to get away from Windows. Can anybody recommend a good financial software program to run on the MAC as an alternative to the Quicken program?

I don't have a recommendation, but may have some perspective for you. I moved from PC to Mac a little over a year ago and made the transition from Microsoft Money to Quicken 2007 for Mac. I do prefer Money to Quicken (at least Quicken for Mac), but I've adjusted to it and it works great for me.
Here are some key points that I consider for the program. Maybe some will resonnate with you:
1) The key thing I use a financial program for is to auto enter bills that I have direct debited and to tell me how much money I actually have left to spend after I pay bills before my next pay check. Money did this very well with a grid and chart. I could look at any given future date (e.g., the day before my next pay check) and get the amount of money that would be left. Quicken for Mac does this, but only with a chart. I just click on the day before my next check and get the amount, but it's not as nice as what I described from Money. Some people say that fewer financial institutions are supported. You can see that this is the case on the Intuit web site where they list the numbers, but I am able to connect with all of my institutions including a local credit union.
2) Quicken requires a password when you open the program and then again when you choose to do the one step download for getting information from your banks. Thankfully, it then uses all of the different passwords for your financial institutions form memory, but I don't understand why the sign-on password isn't enough (or at least make it an option). Quicken has (what could be) a great option to automatically download the latest information based a schedule you set. However, I have this disabled because it then asked me for the Quicken password every time I turned on my computer (annoying). So, I just ask for the download when I balance my books just like I did in Money. This might be the same as in the PC version of Quicken . . . I don't know.
3) Quicken uses many many windows. This can be great if you like to see a lot at once or it can be overwhelming to have 6, 8, or 10 windows open at once. I really like using the Expose feature of the Mac to see my bank web sites along side the corresponding registers. This is much easier to do than in Windows. I keep open my primary accounts, the forecasting chart, and my upcoming bills all of the time and open other windows as needed. I've also browsed the Quicken discussion board and some have suggested enabling the feature that closes an open register when you open a new register. I can see why this would help, but my setup works for me.
4) Quicken 2007 is a PowerPC program (like Office 2004), so it runs in Rosetta in Intel Macs and is a bit slower starting up than other new programs. Once the program is running though, it's not noticeable. However, it bugs me enough that I will be upgrading the Quicken 2008 for Mac as soon as it is available. The same can be said for Office 2008 for Mac.
5) Quicken is currently beta testing a full fledged web based program. When this comes out, it may be for you. I'm enrolled as a tester and do like some of the features, but thus far I wouldn't be compelled to make the switch from a desktop program. I've heard rumors that the next Quicken for Mac will be web only. I hope not, but will evaluate what I'll do when that happens or the next desktop program comes out.
6) I haven't see the Moneydance program mentioned in the other post, but have periodically perused to see if something better existed. I haven't tried anything, but just by the description . . . I've been underwhelmed. I think many of the complaints about Quicken for Mac have to do with the comparison of the PC version to the Mac version, rather than that the Mac version stinks all that much. In terms of support from the program creator, as well as financial institutions, I find it hard to believe that somebody is going to beat Intuit or Microsoft since they are so entrenched in this industry. With that said, I took a quick look at the Moneydance web site and it looks better than the other programs I've looked at. Plus, there is a discussion board to peruse for it's own issues and it has a free fully functional trial version. I might try that myself just out of curiosity, but I really doubt I'll end up switching.

There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
   1. Install the Apple Boot Camp software. Purchase Windows

         It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM
         Fusion.
Note that VirtualBox, Parallels, and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc. There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization. The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. If there is no iDVD on Your Mac (and it's not on newer Macs as Apple discarded it) then You need a program that can do this.
Your Mac can burn CDs and DVDs - BUT DVD as Data-DVDs not as Video-DVDs - they need a program to be encoded and STRUCTURED as such.
• iDVD is part of the boxed version of iLife'11 and can only be bought outside Apple as on Amazon and e-bay
• DVD Studio pro - Part of FinalCut Studio Pro bundle - this to has expired and can only be bought second handed. (High price and tough learning Curve - but best ever done.)
• Roxio Toast™ - Not as elegant as iDVD - but has many other positive additions (I like it as 10-Pro incl BD-component) (now version 11)
• Burn - a free alternative I know of on internet. Very simple - Just for doing a plain Video-DVD

Alternate program for Java

I'm trying to use my iPad to view a webcam. I get a message I need to download Java. I understand Java does not support the IOS system. What alternative program do you have so iPad users can access programs requiring Java?

If this is the only site you need java for, use another device to view it. You can check the app store for Java supporting browsers, but if I recall there are only two, and both involve a cost for the app or the service that would run it, or remotely connects to a PC or Mac and uses its browser.
I personally refuse to use any site that requires Java run time on a client machine - iPad, PC or Mac.

Capture Program for Premier Pro

I have CS5 Production Premium and two PCs. I would like to use the 6-core for editing while using the 4-core for editing support, e.g. capture, while I am editing. Unfortunately, I am informed that I cannot use one licence for CS5 upgrade from CS4 on 2 computers at the same time, even if I also retained C4. So to capture while editing, I need a separate capture program.

Other alternatives such as being offered by Microsoft for a Windows licence to lease on a yearly payment basis are interesting. It appears that all updates and new releases might be available such that a large single financial output is avoided. With this type of software licence, if it is no longer needed, its use can be terminated in the short term at lower cost. I would jump at this opportunity with Adobe since I could use such a short term lease for a stand alone Premier Pro CS5. I could use its capture function for a year, perhaps find other functions of a second Premier Pro is useful, then decide how to continue in the future. This type of marketing would include customers who find the initial cost of software such as Creative Studios and others out of their reach. Perhaps unknown to me the Creative Cloud subscription is already doing this.

I am trying to run my registered CS6 Design Standard programs for the first time after install. InDesign runs OK, but Illustrator and Photoshop will only run in trail mode. How do I activate those two?

I can't get my registered versions of CS6 Photoshop and Illustrator to run in full mode. I installed CS6 Design Standard online end of June (an upgrade from CS5.5), on my old MacBook Pro. I didn't run the programs then as I was waiting on arrival of new MacBook Pro. I migrated the programs from my old MacBook to the new, and today tried to run those programs for the first time. InDesign work OK (after an initial hiccup) but Illustrator and Photoshop will only run in trial mode, and won't let me save files. My CS6 Design Standard shows with it's registration in my Adobe Account. All seems in order, but Illustrator and Photoshop won't run in registered mode. Can you please help?

Please use the uninstallers to remove your current installation. They are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once the uninstall is complete you will also want to run the CC Cleaner Tool. this problem is about learning how to use threads/synchronise objects etc, the efficiency of the code isn't really an issue, if that's what you mean. As for the efficiency of the solution, it's very hard to tell how efficient it is, but as long as all the philosphers get to eat there's no problem. I haven't really scrutized your code, but I'm not sure that you have a deadlock free solution: as long as it is possible for all the phils to pick up one fork at the same time there's a problem, and it seems from your code that each philosopher will pick up "his" fork. Again, I could be wrong, I haven't really looked. If you haven't come up with a solution, try drawing it on paper and working it out, or if you're lazy a quick google will probably give you the answer, but I'm pretty sure nobody here will :)
